I live in Kensington Market.
Nice! I like Kensington market. Nice food! Is that the place where they have all those posh chocolate shops and posh craft shops? Those places mainly cater to the tourists. Real Marketeers don't usually go there. We also have dirt cheap used clothing stores, surplus stores and of course cheap eateries. In fact the chocolate place moved out a while back and was replaced by a cheap Italian sandwich and pizza place that does great business at bar closing time serving excellent quality thin crust pizza by the slice.

I already rent. I live in a dirt-cheap secure bunker in a great neighborhood in downtown Toronto surrounded by a close-knit community of artists, musicians, writers, beatniks, hippies, hipsters, punks, immigrants and general riffraff.
I'm surrounded by bars, bistros, patios, booze cans, live music, original artwork, gourmet food and shops selling everything imaginable.
My rent is less than the maintenance fees on even the cheapest condo.
Sounds like Maitland Ave☺ LOL ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) No. I'm what they call a breeder. I live in Kensington Market. Don't worry, we're open-minded about everybody, LGBTQ included. Unlike that other "village", we don't even mind uniformed police officers. It makes them easier to spot. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

When my Bitcoin hoard passes $20M CAD in value, I'll consider spending a few million on a nice penthouse condo near the lake.
I have several friends with condos down there above the 20th floor and the difference in air quality is noticeable. It's like breathing country air. All the carbon monoxide and toxic particulates are heavier than air and stay near the ground.
You can always rent a spot. When the time comes to move up, I'll buy a place outright. I don't do banks or debt. I learned my lesson about the mortgage racket decades ago. I'll continue to save up until I can pay cash. Maybe by then I'll be able to buy a place directly with Bitcoin.

Old man... you should buy / make with that money a deep spacious house with many plants giving off oxygen so you can breath fresh air!!! It will help you get younger! Because the air pollution these days makes you age faster and sickness catches you easy! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I have a country place in the middle of a 50 acre sugar bush (maple forest) overlooking a waterfall. That's where I recharge my oxygen. Meanwhile I see the 0.152btc I bought yesterday almost touched what I paid for it, then dipped again. Maybe by day's end (UTC). edit: struck out "almost"

Better hurry up. The 0.152 bitcoins I bought yesterday have already lost a whole 5%. Oh the humanity.
WTF are you doing with that spare-change? Tip a waitress? I expected more from your kind. Lawl ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) As I said at the time, I didn't consider a dip to where we were earlier in the day to be a buying opportunity. I had less than $1000 in my pocket and I wasn't going to free up some cash to buy more at that price. When circumstance had me near an ATM later and I saw that the day's candle had gone back to red, I decided to buy what I could comfortably afford without leaving myself short, so I spent $500. Don't worry. If it dips all the way down to below $1880 I'll reallocate enough funds to make a real purchase.

Another ATH later today.
3000 in 2 hours
LOL Better hurry up. The 0.152 bitcoins I bought yesterday have already lost a whole 5%. Oh the humanity. Luckily all my other coins are up considerably. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

I see we're consolidating quite nicely after yesterday's excessive rise and corresponding deep correction... currently $2418USD (Bitcoinaverage).
Too bad our string of green candles ended at 8 but we moderated the upsurge to the point where only the zaniest fools will call it a bubble.
It might take a few days to reach another ATH now but that's probably good. Steady growth is best.
People talk as if this "healthy correction" is over, but that is yet to be seen. It is a possiblity that this thing rebounds and new ATHs are reached, but it is a bigger possibility that we see a larger ongoing downward correction. Only the zaniest of fools would be calling for new ATHs in a matter of a few days at the present time. Come on man, take off your Bitcoin shaded sunglasses for a moment. I never said the correction was over. I said we were consolidating. A "larger ongoing downward correction"? Larger than $500? Good luck. The correction could and should continue downwards quite a bit more, and ATHs will not be reached again in a matter of days... more likely a matter of months... and probably even more likely a year+. (those timeframes are guesstimated from Bitcoin's market history... where it reached previous ATHs then corrected itself)
Remember the last significant correction, on May 12-13? It took "a matter of days" (5 to be exact) to reach a new ATH. "Probably even more likely a year+. (those timeframes are guesstimated from Bitcoin's market history... where it reached previous ATHs then corrected itself)"? What "Bitcoin's market history" are you referring to? The bubbles of 2011 and 2013? Don't forget that in those bubbles the price rose by more than 1000% in weeks, not years. All this correction has proved is that this current bull market is not a bubble. It seems to me like you're hoping for a much lower price to buy in. Wishful thinking will get you nowhere.

I just phone ahead to make sure they have enough coins, then head over and pay them cash anonymously for coins directly from their laptop into a paper wallet I supply.. They honor the price listed on their website. I'm pretty sure they own and operate their own ATM. They're a small family business. The last couple of days they've displayed this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2FTOGold.jpg&t=663&c=i5-UbCqEoVBeIA) Have you ever cashed any out there Jimbo? No. I only buy and hoard. (hoadr?) The only time I ever sold any Bitcoin was to sell $150 worth because I was short on pocket cash and was going to the ballpark. I did that when Decentral still had their ATM on premises. I hadn't thought that I'd have to wait for 6 confirmations to get my cash. Silly me. I didn't want to miss a pitch so I went to the game and realized I didn't really need to sell after all. I didn't go thirsty. Got my cash after the game. Now if I ever needed a small amount of cash to tide me over, I'd go to Deloitte. They don't charge any fee to sell but they have a $100 daily limit: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2Fdeloitte.jpg&t=663&c=YSGGPjJl5g3PkA) For larger amounts I'd use York Foreign Exchange. They're downtown and only charge 3%. I'm not sure of their limit but a friend sold $2000 worth recently with no problem: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2Fyork.jpg&t=663&c=Sorr4vRG4ogNkQ)

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Yes. This is an excellent time to sell your fiat and lock down your profits in Bitcoin.

That's 7 consecutive days of ATHs across the board.
And that's including a massive correction.
Go Bitcoin go.

Just got home. I found myself near a BTC ATM while I was out and the daily candle had dipped into the red again so I broke down and bought a tiny bit of coin... only $500 but it's better than nothing. I thought there was a Bitcoin ATM just around the corner from you. You shouldn't have any travel expenses. Is it broken or something?
*snip* The place I've used most recently ran out of coins a couple of days ago. *snip* Does it tell you its run out of coins before you put the money in, or does it happily accept the money, then refuse to give it back when it finally tells you its got no Bitcoins? Actually, their ATM has been down since last year. Since then, I just phone ahead to make sure they have enough coins, then head over and pay them cash anonymously for coins directly from their laptop into a paper wallet I supply.. They honor the price listed on their website. I'm pretty sure they own and operate their own ATM. They're a small family business. The last couple of days they've displayed this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2FTOGold.jpg&t=663&c=i5-UbCqEoVBeIA) Whenever I've had a problem with any other ATM, a phone call to the machine's operator has cleared it up. I even met an operator who offered to deal directly with me on amounts over $1000, bypassing the ATM and effectively cutting out the merchant where the ATM was placed.

I thought there was a Bitcoin ATM just around the corner from you. You shouldn't have any travel expenses. Is it broken or something?
I had 2 within walking distance but 1 was taken out and the other moved from Decentral to a convenience store a couple of doors down the street where the fees are ridiculous (13% buy, 15.5% sell). The place I've used most recently ran out of coins a couple of days ago. Deloitte is reasonably priced but have a $100 daily limit. There's a place downtown where I can buy for 5% and sell for 3% but they're a little too far to walk and require transferring between transit vehicles or taking a cab. It's also raining today. If the dip was deeper and I had more cash to spend, I might consider it. Under the circumstances, I'll wait. That's what I like about holding Bitcoin. You earn obscene amounts of money just for waiting. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

All the new people-
I'd love to know their original forum names.
I happens with every major price rally and the accompanying media publicity. Some might be old members or trolls hiding behind new names, but lots of others are just clueless noobs who think they've got it all figured out but don't know the difference between a hash and a mempool. They're the really annoying ones.

u buy jimbo?
No. The dip down to yesterday's price was too short lived and I've got less than a grand in my pocket. Even if I was inclined to consider a price from earlier today to be a buyable dip, for the tiny pittance I'd be able to buy it wouldn't be worth my time and travel expense. I'll wait until a deeper dip when I have more to invest.

Now this is a proper correction. Just what we needed. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2Fboohoo.jpg&t=663&c=uZO_Tmo7eB7uSg)

Bitcoin price reach maximum, it will go down this summer, so now is the right time to sale some Bitcoins as fast as possible. Sale at right time can make you some thousand USD in profit more !!!
Profit in USD? Why would you want that? To let it decrease in value in some bank? I'd rather take my profits in Bitcoin. Besides, this rally is just beginning. This is a horrible time to sell bitcoins. Hold and profit.
