3601  Other / Meta / Re: +50 Merit abuse report . on: February 20, 2018, 04:45:08 AM
Someone call the merit police.

There should be a merit police. I'm sure many merit abuse are very obvious if one comes across them and should be dealt with.
Yes, we should have lots of regulations about what people do with the merit they earn/receive. We need to make sure that these regulations are made up arbitrarily and retroactively, and be made by people who are never held accountable in any way.
3602  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 20, 2018, 04:40:14 AM
I gotta admit, Quickseller's fact-bending off-topic spam is getting as close to a work of art as forum trolling could possibly be. He brings an irrelevant rant into this thread making it sound as if it's about Lauda, and brings Lauda into unrelated threads trying to reinforce his narrative in a passive voice:

I can honestly say I was starting to miss the lack of quickseller on this forum. I've not spotted his threads in a while. They're normally so extreme it becomes gripping and it currently always seems to be Lauda(?) currently.

@QS, if he's off DT any other accomplishment you make is wasteful as he can't really go further off DT without going negative and that's not really going to do very much difference...

Lauda is BACK on DT courtesy of SaltySpitoon, which kinda makes this thread fake news but QS won't let facts get in his way.

Yes, this thread should be locked or have the subject changed.   The system is setup so that DT1 users can override each other with the benefit of the doubt going to the end user.  I actually agree with that policy, and if 3 DT1 users believe Lauda should be able to leave trusted feedback, then this is yet another example of the trust system working.
blazed, hilariousandco, and now saltyspitton should still be removed from being "DT1" if they refuse to remove lauda from their trust lists...

Oh my....  You have some kind of inability to let anything go, QS?  And  you seem to want to take the discussion to one additional level of extreme absurdity, even further than the absurdity already achieved?
This is exactly what I was asking for in the OP....

Perhaps you failed to read the OP before posting.
3603  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 20 Billion Bets | 111+ BTC Jackpot! on: February 20, 2018, 04:30:40 AM
Hi Noyer. This casino is probably Bankrupt. That's why they start to play dirty, taking off last chance to recover looses by changing seeds, not paying big wins, verification shit procedures etc. Bitcoin Casinos should be based on Anonymity. Why should you send your private info ? They don't provide this private info from their side if someone deposit high ammount. I also get started with Prime since 2016, and there were no issues earlier, when BTC price was low. At present time - it is different casino, diferent Primedice, than before. Unfortunately. Just one Advise for Stunna / Edward  --- please remove lable Fairplay/Fairness ETC/// it is not about you. Nobody from your support can not verify my bets. That is why You change seed twice, to erase proofs. This is my private opinion. Take care Noyer. Hope that they will pay you. All others, who stuck with deep reds just get fucked by Primedice administration. with no regards to prime. armada

In addition to the replies above, have you read the Section 6 of the TOS of Primedice? If not, here is what is written:
Quote
6. KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER (“KYC”)
Primedice reserves the right, at any time, to ask for any KYC documentation it deems necessary to determine the identity and location of a User. Primedice reserves the right to restrict service and payment until identity is sufficiently determined.
This is likely to avoid paying out players who are suspected of cheating without any recourse if evidence of cheating is later found.

I have to admit that the green slab looks pretty awesome! Its too bad it is difficult to account for spending ~$8k for something like this.
3606  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BitGo.com - full control over your Bitcoin? on: February 19, 2018, 10:58:04 PM
What other companies really come in comparison to BitGo as I really wouldn't want to put Blockchain.info in the same league as it really isn't.
Bitgo doesn't give full control because you will not have private key.
Blockchain.info allows you to have full control and wallets are client side encrypted.

Bitgo charge high fees in % basis but blockchain.info charge normal bitcoin fees and all of that fees go towards transaction fee not to owner's pocket.  Grin

Bitgo looks more like centralized bitcoin wallet justlike coinbase but their idea of instant confirmation sound interesting.
Even on that 0.1% fee is already too much specially when we do make big amount transfers and i dont like for those fees to go on owners pocket.  Cool. Having no possesion on your private keys do always accompanied with the risk for you on not having the possibility of recovery once the service shuts down unlike on other wallet that keys will really be the important thing that must have. Id rather choose coinbase with no doubt than on bitgo.
Coinbase actually used to (I am not sure if they still do or not) offer "vault" services in which you would send your bitcoin to a multisig address and coinbase would only sign transactions out of that address under a certain set of circumstances. It was a 2-of-3 multisig, and the customer would have two of the keys in case coinbase ever shut down.

3608  Other / Meta / Re: TheButterZone Removed From Default Trust on: February 19, 2018, 06:30:13 PM
Unfortunately the forum administration has adopted a 100% hands off policy on the trust system. This has made the trust system become a complete joke. You can contact the person who put TBZ on his trust list, however I would not hold by breath this would result in any action -- SaltySpitton recently disavowed lauda's actions while simultaneously adding lauda to his trust list under the guise of following the 'will of the community' which was quickly debunked.
3609  Other / Meta / Re: TheButterZone Removed From Default Trust on: February 19, 2018, 04:16:12 PM
This psycho gave me a negative rating for making a starting bid on his auction. (ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2664660-

His auction was 50.000 XRP with a starting bid of 165.000$, while today's market value is around 50k$.

I only made a fair opening bid to have the auction going, this narcistic psycho immediatly gave me a negative trust rating, saying on plain sight on his topic he asks 1.8BTC to remove it.

Someone, if not all, should take action against this guy acting like he is God and we should all abide by his rules.
It is very scammy when someone makes a post warning about a significantly above market price being asked of something, and receives negative trust as a result.

Nonwithstanding any posted rules, it is always acceptable to warn others about price discrepancies and shady behavior.
3610  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Apartment Loan on: February 19, 2018, 12:21:04 AM
I'd need 280 000 HRK (~47k $), I was thinking of 0.4% interest/month

That is a fairly low rate for the crypto economy.

The FRR on bitfinex is currently 0.038% per day, and lenders keep 85% of this, so 0.0323% after fees, which is ~0.969% per month. This is for loans with a maximum 30 day term.

Also, the 15 year term is risky for lenders considering the fact that the collateral securing the loan may or may not be worth anything in 15 years.
3611  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda is a WITCH, who cast an evil spell on me! BURN THE WITCH! on: February 18, 2018, 10:56:14 PM
This thread reveals more about nullius than it does Lauda.

It seems that the daily accusations of you being a liar turned out to be true based on your interactions in the lauda-related threads.

I am curious just how many people have a deep understanding of cryptography and spend as much time in reputation related threads as you do Roll Eyes
3612  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 18, 2018, 04:32:05 AM
Very interesting and relevant quote in another thread in reputation:

[...]
I have been silent on this for too long.  I also have problems with this syndicate of trust abusers.  It's been going on for too long now.  They use shills and sock puppets to discredit their competitors reputations while boosting the reputation of their own syndicate.  In today's BTC value, I have lost over $70,000 to scammers through campaigns this group has managed, yet my reputation has been painted red while their reputations continue to move up in status.  It's absurd!  I have been resigned to take my losses, but they are becoming significant enough now for me to consider judicial remedies of retrieval....This has to stop!

I have no evidence of you personally scamming anybody....However, there is plenty of circumstantial evidence regarding the issue of "trust abuse" surrounding the reputation network that supports your position.  I am not here to accuse anybody ---> I am simply pointing out that the trust abuse needs to stop ---> My comment was a just a response to Yahoo's comment for which he may have some personal insight.  My main complaint is that there have been plenty of highly questionable events that have received no reputation demerits, while at the same time there has been a practice of ruining other user's reputations for extremely minor nuances.  The big question is thus: why does a small group of associated members, many of which have been involved in seriously negative events, have green trust, while a much larger base of members, whom have not been involved in any scams whatsoever, have red trust?  Isn't there something wrong with that correlation?

Oh, okay. Thanks for responding. I don't believe you.
3615  Other / Meta / Hacked account spreading malware - mixerxxpasc on: February 17, 2018, 08:21:59 PM
It appears that mixerxxpasc is hacked.

The account is spamming referral links by creating locked threads in multiple subs. However this is very similar to incidents of hacked accounts spreading malware a couple of years ago.

Please ban this account and trashcan his spam threads/posts. Thanks.

Is ELA traded anywhere besides huobi?

BJEX, but it's not reliable.

It has been confirmed to be traded on Binance because of their partnership, but almost zero chance trading goes live in time.
I don't think this is a scam attempt, however I don't want to deal with a Chinese exchange given the crypto related climate there.

Of course it may turn out that nullius is actually an alt of Quickseller and we'll all look rather silly then, but that's a worry for another day.
I've seriously considered that. However, Quickseller is the equivalent of a rock when compared to nullius, intelligence-wise. Therefore, I find that rather highly improbable.

Nullius' knowledge about blockchain science and cryptography is a dead giveaway. His arrogance is a dead giveaway. He is an alt-account of a member who was here long before Bitcoin was even talked about in the mainstream. No way in the world he just registered in this forum last March 29, 2017. If you're an expert in blockchains, you pretty much have visited or even make posts here in Bitcointalk in the past.

Also the fact that he keeps butting into Bitcointalk and DT politics, I would assume he is one of the main cast of characters of the forum drama we are witnessing. A real newcomer would probably stick to Bitcoin discussions on protocol, trading or even the altcoin ann section.

He could even be Satoshi.  Shocked
nullius is lauda. That is very clear. Anyone who does not see this is simply closing their eyes.
3619  Economy / Lending / Re: Require a loan of ETH for a few days. Collateral is BCH and BTC on: February 17, 2018, 07:24:04 AM
I want to follow up about this. I have stopped lending out a portion of my funds elsewhere so I have sufficient funds to fund this loan.

If this is no longer needed, please let me know so I can resume lending out funds that I would use for this loan on other platforms.

Thanks.
3620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin vs Greg Maxwell on: February 17, 2018, 05:46:40 AM
I suspect that a high percentage of DAO tokens were held on exchanges, which probably decreased the number of addresses/accounts holding DAO tokens per the blockchain.

Ideology aside, the market as clearly spoken if forking etherum was the right thing to do based on the market price of etherum versus etherum classic.
