3601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How China's Plans to Launch Its Own Currency Might Affect Bitcoin on: March 22, 2016, 05:31:12 PM
every day there is a new thing coming out and claiming to (or media claims to) have an effect on bitcoin and be the bitcoin replacement. there are altcoins, bank and financial groups creating blockchains,...

but i think they are all just altcoins that can not grow big enough to be considered a competition. besides if China or any other group creates such a thing it will only be used locally (like only in China) and never be used all over the world like bitcoin does.
3602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CIA and Bitcoin on: March 22, 2016, 05:27:21 PM
i think it is only logical that cia or any other intelligence agency of other countries keep an eye on bitcoin.

just as they are keeping an eye on every other payment processor, money movement, many websites and services and social media,....
3603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Invest in BTC and have a healthy wealth in future. State your specualtions. on: March 22, 2016, 05:20:43 PM
for profiting in the future through investing in bitcoin there is always two things that come to mind

- the short term investment, this can either be the day-traders that trade bitcoin every day and earn from small daily changes or buying in a dip and holding for a while to spend at higher price after a while.

- the long term investment, that is for a couple of years and for the time that bitcoin reaches a big popularity and everybody knows and used bitcoin in the future.

both of them have good profit which can create you a good wealth but the second one is where the real money lies because this price now is just a fraction of what it can be by then.
3604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Block Reward Halving - Invest? on: March 22, 2016, 05:16:33 PM
I don' get it, why should demand for bitcoin increase because of this?

because the halving usually bring a good expectations and a good hype it's the same reason why humans are happy only in the festivity....

people just need a reason to be encouraged to do something

exactly.
i was thinking about this the other day. the hype alone can cause a lot of demand that in turn can cause a big price rise.
also add the rest of the speculation to that, then there will be a guaranteed price rise in the near future.

3607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where is Everyone Trading Altcoins? on: March 20, 2016, 03:08:00 PM
i prefer to trade on bittrex and poloniex and some times on yobit for stupid coin that will die in few week
I can add BTC-e and trading with LTC. I bought at Bittrex LTC and sell them on BTC e and i was good few LTC and again i waiting for my orders to be filled. I don't know why people don't trade more with LTC? It is perfect if you asking me!

not sure but as i remember from when i was trading on BTC-e their markets (the first couple of markets anyways) was quite active. and LTC market was one of the active markets there. maybe things had changed there since i last visited. now i only trade on bittrex and kraken
3608  Economy / Speculation / Re: why I bought on: March 20, 2016, 03:02:25 PM
I bought bitcoin because it is the coin to own. It is not inflationary, so the value will not be eroded like the fiat.
this is true only if some whales don't manipulate the market. After being indexed as stock bitcoin is continuosly being manipulated.

The whales are manipulating the market all the time. But the value of the bitcoin rises in the last 7 years as we can see.
The whales might always continue to try to manipulate the bitcoin market but they cannot do it all the time.

yeah, their effect is going to fade away as times goes by because there will be more investors and the spread of wealth makes them weaker but they still will be powerful enough to move price just smaller then.
3609  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will the Block halving impact the bitcoin price? on: March 20, 2016, 02:59:03 PM
nothing is for certain. for all we know the bitcoin price can stay here at $410 level for the whole year and just move a little.

but if it is half as it was like last time, the price will go up to 600-700 and more because of it.
3610  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: March 20, 2016, 02:55:06 PM
i bought bitcoin as an investment for the future price increase, just like others did. I think it's still a good price to buy now. And i also constantly spend some of it.
Yeah and we are hoping that price will rise  in future so that we can get good returns and that is the reason majority of us are buying at a moment.

i agree. my biggest reason for buying bitcoin was the price rise and the fact that i wanted to get in on the possible profit.

but also i came to like bitcoin as i became more and more familiar with it and used bitcoin to purchase some stuff.
3611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I stay or Will I leave - Poll on: March 20, 2016, 02:47:30 PM
it depends!
if bitcoin takes a hit because of the change and major developers leave and give the development of bitcoin to some few that lead it to ruins i would not stay because i don't want to watch something i liked die.
3612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell all stocks, buy Bitcoin or Gold on: March 18, 2016, 01:52:39 PM
i personally have always preferred diversifying.
i spread my investments between multiple things (bitcoin and gold included) and also some promising altcoins. i have played around with stocks but the profit was not good for me so i left it and especially these days i prefer bitcoin more than anything else.
3613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2016, 01:46:11 PM
I'm sort of new to bitcoin, I've made a couple bucks already from visiting ad sites, doing faucets, etc, but is there any other way to earn easy cash? Anyone got any suggestions?
As far as I know, there is no such thing as easy cash. If so, everyone could be a millionaire/billionaire/etc. by now, and the term " millionaire/billionaire/etc." will no longer exist. The fastest way to earn Bitcoin is to offer services to people and accept Bitcoin as a payment method.

If you look in the services section there are some who offer jobs that they cant do,if you have that skills then you can bid for it.
Just dont bet on ponzi as it will just take your money away.

for freelance jobs you can also check out reddit there are a couple of subreddits that people post if they want to hire or be hired for a job online. i think one of them was /r/doitforthecoin and /r/jobsforbitcoin or something similar.
3614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Get an original address back on: March 18, 2016, 01:36:13 PM
1. make sure that you have downloaded the wallet from a trusted place like their official website and not from a third party link because those can be fake.

2. check what your balance is in the wallet app, it might just be that the wallet gave you a new address after you used the first.

3. contact the unobtanium developers (or the wallet developers) and ask for help after you did 1&2

EDIT:
here is their announcement topic:

3615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bter at it again - coins disappearing - TIPS (Fedoracoin) on: March 18, 2016, 01:32:06 PM
if you are talking about the exchanger called bter.com then i am so sorry to say this but it is your own fault.

bter is a dead exchanger, after they claimed they were "hacked" it is all down the hill from then on. i don't know why you even trusted then in the first place when they had such a negative point in their history.
3616  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1 million for 1 bitcoin.Here is how on: March 18, 2016, 01:28:11 PM
... I think if some oil producing nation start accepting bitcoins for exporting oil than Bitcoin price can shoot to $1 million..

nah, this is never going to happen. at least there should first be the mass adoption stage then there should be regulation and governments all over the world to set rules for using bitcoin then after that there is still a small possibility that that country accepts bitcoin as payment.

but what randy8777 above me said is the key to ridiculously high prices. if bitcoin enters wall street then there is going to be a massive demand that will shoot the price up.
3617  Economy / Speculation / Re: Question to the real G's over here. on: March 18, 2016, 01:22:58 PM
it depends on your country and the banking system rules. i have never had any problem for amounts as big as 5 or more bitcoin. but here the banking system is a little bit more flexible lol

you should also be concerned about taxes. that is the issue that i mostly see people have problem with authorities.
3618  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: March 18, 2016, 01:18:40 PM
i look at bitcoin as a currency and i would love it if the day comes that bitcoin is used as a currency just like fiat.

but also until that time comes, i consider bitcoin as more of an investment rather than a currency so i am like 80% invested and will sell and hold 20% of it until bitcoin is mass adopted and i keep 100% of my bitcoins for using to buy goods.
3619  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best place to invest your bitcoin? on: March 18, 2016, 01:13:11 PM
Any ideas or suggestions?

there are multiple options for investing bitcoin.
- cloudmining : mostly are scams and a couple remaining are not so profitable
- casino bankroll : this is risky but more reliable than the last one with decent profit.
- trading : this last one is my favorite. because the money (bitcoin) is in my own hands and i don't rely on anybody else to give me profit. if i can make profit with trading i do and if i lose money it is on me and not because of a scammer.
