Confirming receipt of payment. Thank you Paybis. About the new rule, what does

minimal participation period - 3 months.
means?

Does this mean we are locked in the campaign for 3 months?
3602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run is over. Welcome to the consolidation period. on: March 13, 2017, 03:32:24 AM
- ETF was denied because Bitcoin is not something that can be regulated
- we may argue that regulators went to far here and killed innovation ETF could bring

Nevertheless there has been rumors of at least two other ETF approaches ongoing besides the Winkelwoss one, but I cannot dig where I picked that up! Must have been a posting inside this forum subpart. It's not a single thing to kill off.
However on the long term an ETF tradeable product is inevitable, somewhere around the world some tiny location just would have to reach out it's hand to grab hold. And if we have to use rupees or rouble to get access, doesn't matter.

The reason of disapproval given by SEC ruled out any ETF to be approved in the future. They may apply again but the same reason will be given and they will be rejected again.

Back on topic.

The price is still moving up, though not as fast as last month. It go sideways a bit and then move up again.
3603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop buying! on: March 13, 2017, 03:14:38 AM
Why do you stop buying when it is consolidating? It is the perfect time to buy because after the consolidation, the price will start to go up again. The bulls are exhausted right now, but the bears have not pulled the price down. So it means, more time to buy while the price is still low. You may regret it later if you do not get in now.
3604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price ready to increase ~$25 USD per day during this year. on: March 13, 2017, 03:09:41 AM
snip

Huh then your prediction can be correct maybe not 10000$ I think that it will be little less because bitcoin grow slowly and slowly so I think that price can be maximum 5-10 thausand dollars in next 3 years.

hah! he still did not get it.

As you can all see, the prediction is a tad behind schedule, thus get on the train and enjoy the ride as the exchange rate enters its correction stage. To da moon by the end of the year, but first the price must traverse the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy the ride:

Or it will increase 50$ dollars a day that is why it is taking its time and still building up steam.

I am positive this is a good year for bitcoin and the price may get very high. If it reaches that high, well and good. If not, it is still okay and let's wait for him to say "it may still need another more year"
3605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does every casino ask for documents? Wtf? on: March 13, 2017, 02:46:36 AM
I do sports betting in directbet and I have not submitted anything. I think most of bitcoin online casinos do not require any documents to play and withdraw any funds. All they require is a bitcoin address and you are good to go. They do not even require a log in information. If they start asking for KYC documents, I'll stop playing on their sites.
3606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Fraud on: March 13, 2017, 12:28:53 AM
What you want OP is a charge back which unfortunately is not available with bitcoin. All you can do is purchase only on trusted sellers, use escrow, or use other payment method which have charge back policy. Use paypal instead if you are not sure with the merchandiser. They have chargeback.
3607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETF Rejected on: March 12, 2017, 10:41:13 PM
I thought it will be approved by SEC but im wrong. Now that the ETF was not approved by SEC. I see small dump. I dont see that the rejection on ETF is massive. We fall only $100 and thats not really huge. Thats how strong bitcoin is. People cannot be fooled easily. They're getting matured now.
There's going to be more bitcoin etf(s), so what if the first one was disapproved. the next one might be approved, march 30th is when we'll know the fate of second etf.
do we even need etf? bitcoin price will rise without etf(s). Roll Eyes

With the SEC reasons behind disapproval of winklevos etf, there will be no Bitcoin ETF that will be approved unless you change the very nature of bitcoin. Bitcoin will remain unregulated and any attempt for an ETF will remain to be disapproved.
3608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 12, 2017, 08:49:53 AM
Don't forget to tell your friends about NEM before it goes mainstream-expensive Smiley. Most of my friends ignore my crypto-recommendations for many years, but when bitcoin hits $1000 they eager to listen about 'new technologies' ).
Buy XEM as much as you can, before you tell your friend about NEM.  Grin

Buy xem, start harvesting, tell friends and convince them to harvest too. If they do not act soon, they will regret that they have ignored xem. Buy while the price is still very much affordable.
3609  Economy / Speculation / Re: after the denial of the ETF , what will be the next hype train to jump onboard? on: March 12, 2017, 06:53:24 AM
Next ETF is on march 30 , the solid X ETF.

All applications are dead in the water. None of them can do anything to address the fundamental nature of BTC that the rejection picked up on.

Yep, the SEC is clearly doesn't think that Bitcoin is a viable investment due to its association with scams and money laundering.  This isn't something that can just be fixed, in their minds, overnight.

It is rejected not because it is associated with scam or money laundering, it is because it cannot be regulated. If it cannot be regulated, they cannot protect the investors. That is why, all other ETF in the future will also fail unless they change the nature of bitcoin.
3610  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC back to 1,200+ on: March 12, 2017, 06:46:56 AM
Bitcoin is still pretty stable and will continue to be.  The ETF did not destroy Bitcoin, far from it.  I think this shows the strength of the community and that people are properly in this for the long run.

Quite right, even when it dropped below 1000 when the ETF was disapproved, it immediately recovered. This means that there are a lot of buy orders waiting and in support for bitcoin. It will not easily crash like the others are speculating, at least not yet and not because of ETF failing.
3611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: March 12, 2017, 05:51:16 AM

We strongly believe BTC BTC price will up to $3000 this year end due to demand and supply.

NO any ETF effect on it anymore.

You are too optimistic with the price of bitcoin. 3000 is already overpriced and will just be a bubble ready to burst if that happens. As long as the scaling problem is not yet solved, I think the price will not improve too much. The scaling problem will hold the price and the adoption back.
3612  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price is the Moon landing? on: March 12, 2017, 04:43:55 AM
When the price surges up like a rocket, that is bitcoin mooning. But that does not mean it will land to the moon. That price can get as high as you can imagine, but it will still be going up to the moon. There is no limit, no set price that means it landed to the moon. It means bitcoin know no limit in terms of price.
3613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "BTC Will do to banks what Email did to the postal industry" on: March 12, 2017, 12:08:42 AM
There is a possibility that this will come true. It may cripple the banks, or it can kill it altogether. But I think this will take a lot of time before it can happen. First, the government will protect the banks and fiat so it will be a long fight. The government may even ban bitcoin just to protect the banks.
3614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: March 12, 2017, 12:03:25 AM
I save some and I spend some. Bitcoin is money, so it is to be spent. And just like what I do with my fiat,  I save some for future and investment purposes. Luckily with bitcoin, it grows in value even if you just hold it in your wallet for a long time. No need to put it somewhere else to grow.
3615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So no one cares about ETF decision, right? on: March 11, 2017, 11:00:06 PM
It did dropped a bit just after the announcement. It dropped to below 1000 level, so if you are shorting just below 1000, you got lucky because it did not last long and immediately bounced back. But that all there is in the much hyped ETF. Let's wait for the next ETF to arrive.
3616  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: March 11, 2017, 08:09:59 AM

3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETF Rejected on: March 11, 2017, 08:04:29 AM
And the price dropped for a while there. It even hit below 1000$. But it recovered quickly. Lucky are those who have buy orders on that level, they have instant 100$ + profit in less than a day. At least that is all to it with ETF, no Bitcoin crash. I guess it will be a while before we can see an ETF getting approved be SEC.
3618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the transaction fee will kill bitcoin? on: March 11, 2017, 07:57:41 AM
Right now on my wallet, I want to transfer money from my Android wallet to my cold storage wallet. The fee is so high, that it's not worth to initiate the transfer, everyone says bitcoin has the lower fee to transfer value over service like the Western Union.

I am very disappointed with the fee, what is your view about the transaction fee? Do you think that that will be the beginning of the end for bitcoin?

We can do nothing about this right now. If you are transferring small amount, then the fee will look too high. But if you are transferring large amount, the fee is low compared to the amount. What I do is I do my transfer in advance so I do not have to pay high fees and I have spare time to wait for the confirmation.
3619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoins is now same as paypal(and worst) on: March 11, 2017, 07:37:32 AM
think about this, if people are willing to pay for the harmful fee that come with paypal, western union etc... then they can certainly go above the current fee for bitcoin

they are still very far away from being called crazy fee, even with big transaction you are looking to pay $1, this is hardly expensive, paypal will charge you more on average

While true, I don't like the idea of paying over a dollar just to transfer some BTC to my phone wallet and then after I don't need it there anymore, paying over a dollar just to transfer it back to my PC wallet.

I can shuffle money around between fiat my bank accounts without any fee at all.

Bitcoin is not a miracle drug that can solve all your financial needs. If you think you can go cheaper using fiat in banks, then go for it. If you think you will spend less using bitcoin, then use bitcoin. No one is forcing anyone to use one currency. You do not have to shuffle your bitcoin from mobile to pc wallet if you don't want to.
Like for me, whenever I send money, I do not have to use western union or the likes, I can use bitcoin for that because it is cheaper in terms of transaction fee. Even if I send half a bitcoin or more, as long as the bytes are small, it incurs cheaper fee.

May nasagot ba sa chat us ng coins.ph kapag weekend?  Kanina pa kasi ako nag pm sa kanila wala pa rin response. Or may ibang venue ba na pwede ko silang icontact? Thanks sa makakasagot.
