3601  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: A catch in the blockchain.com XLM airdrop - KYC ! Thoughts ? on: November 14, 2018, 10:45:47 AM

a lot will fall for that $25 though.

it feels the government is behind it. its my paranoia but ICOs and exchange collecting all the data is somewhat SEC related. once all the mandatory collection is done, no one escapes from it, then they can now do anything. just as how national ID works.
I highly believe they'll require KYC in future and say: If you want to use our service, upload documents or go away.
Of course for some of us it doesn't matter because we rarely use blockchain.info but... people who would agree that proposal, better to do it now and benefit from them. On another hand who will "fall" for 25$, is that a problem? Some people don't care if their identity is protected or not, money is important for them at the moment.

Guys is it so hard to understand? Why do you keep posting the same?
Bot isn't built by Bitsler, so they aren't reponsible of it's work or any unwated results. For this reason, Bitsler can't say good or bad on this bot, they can't recommend it or even say the opposite, they are neutral because Bot isn't built by Bitsler, it's not also official partner.

3603  Economy / Economics / Re: We can totally eradicate poverty if we TRULY want to. on: November 13, 2018, 08:41:31 PM
Really a good task to discuss about, but answer is a big no. Not directly from me, but from people. Maybe you see around that your friends look sad at poor people or you'll see a poor child who has one wish when he/she grow up: One day I'll become rich and will help all poor people.
This world will never be what we have expected when we were children, also remember, if I am rich it's because you are poor. This world works this way, people, even from their first seconds when they born, are egoist and only care about themselves. If we really want to make everyone normal and avoid anyone to be poor, then we wouldn't look for cheap workers in china, africa and in another countries, we wouldn't try to get rid of business opponents. This world doesn't works this way, not world but humanity.
3604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to transfer bitcoin to paypal uk/gbp? on: November 13, 2018, 07:08:43 PM
I have one idea, I usually use it without problem, btw it's not a direct way.
Is xapo accepted in your country? If yes, then what about to use it? I mean you own xapo, receive bitcoins here, convert them in GBP (xapo has very good rate), then fill Xapo Debit card, stick this card on your paypal account, do payment with it through paypal.
I don't know why but this happens on my account: When I pay with card through paypal, for example on ebay and then calcel order, I receive money on PP instead of my visa card, this way funds stay on PP.
3605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: is it still profitable? How many rigs do the big boys still have... on: November 13, 2018, 06:28:37 PM
Are you profiting with ETH or other Altcoins?

Whats your outlook?

How are the big boys doing... are you one of them? what's the electricity to profit ratio/conversions?
I am not a big boy in mining but mine as I can. Was collecting money and bought 8 gtx1070ti one year ago, price was acceptable too, in winter had great time for 2 week and ROIed 20% in these two week. Now mine most profitable coin according to whattomine.com and exchange to ether and bitcoin, withdraw some of them.
Worths for me to mine, is very energo effective compared to others + electricity isn't expensive for me.
3606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Royal Escrow legit? on: November 13, 2018, 05:10:09 PM
On twitter they claim: A Decentralized Autonomous Organization Founded Since 2003.
In reality, domain was registered in 2005-05-26. There is no information given on Royal escrow and it's review.
You can also check what was happening on royalescrow.com since it exists, check it on web.archive.org and surprisingly you'll see a lot of blank pages or 403 forbidden text until 2018. Their joined twitter in July 2017. There is no way they would handle transactions worth $900M.
Now decide whether risk and use it or not.
3607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling website to invest into? on: November 13, 2018, 01:12:03 PM
Preferably a website that has been around for at least one year, and proven itself as a profitable source on the long term. No one likes scam exits. Cheers!
Crypto-games.net
Bitvest.io
These two has been running for more than a year so your money is safe for investing on each bankrolls.

I was in the crypto-games sig campaign in the past, I know they're trustworthy. I didn't know they let people invest in their bankroll though!

~snip~

Yeah, they let people to invest and your ex manager, Luptin has invested here too, a lot of people who invested here are satisfied. As far as I know another good option of investment is Yolodice.
Btw after seeing leaderboard, maybe it doesn't worth to invest in bustadice -> https://bustadice.com/leaderboard
On another hand, there is no good option, for me it doesn't worth to invest here, better to buy GPUs and mine.
3608  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Add Warning Message ---> Please, search before starting a new topic on: November 13, 2018, 11:58:41 AM
Nah man. This is too preposterous. This is a forum, we won't run out of space, if multiple threads are created with the same concern. People are just overdoing this too much. It won't end the world if multiple threads are created.
It's not a matter of running out of space. Won't we appraise a thread which have constructive and on-topic repiles? Of course, we will get bored when someone posts a reply with same thought which already have been answered by someone previously. When you read a thread, I don't think you will feel better if you see some replies with same thoughts. The same also applies here. If you see the same thread/query again and again, it really looks weird.
In the welcome message which is being developed, afaik, theymos has also asked people to search before posting same query.
First, search for your problem to see if anyone has asked about it before. If you don't find anything on it, ask in the Meta section. If you don't speak English well, either ask in your local section or PM the moderators of your local section.
Logically you will search here or on google and after no success, come here to open thread and get answer on your question, am I right? I would do the same but consider that some people don't have this logic. If someone wants to create thread and receive answer directly in his/her thread, that message can't change his/her thoughts. Just push Report To Moderator, this task isn't something you have to worry much.
3609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What GPU to buy and what is up with proffitability calculators on: November 12, 2018, 11:02:27 PM
There were different ideas posted and I have another different one too, hope you are welcome to consider this too.
Mining isn't as bad as others say. I like you don't want to choose only one coin, that's the basic of good strategy as for now. I wouldn't buy used GPUs if you can't check/test them yourself before you buy.
Best GPUs to buy for mining for me is gtx 1070ti/1080 and higher. They consume less energy and you have possibility to mine a lot of altcoins. Use whattomine.com or nicehash profitability calculator if you aim to mine and keep bitcoins.
3610  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A browser extension that lets you shop with Bitcoin anywhere online on: November 12, 2018, 10:22:44 PM
Seems I am the only one who can't understand how this extension works? At first there is no way to make it work anywhere online, would edit title.
Then what happens? I log in on amazon, added items in card and decided to check out, now your extension popups and offers me to pay with bitcoin. I pay with bitcoin but how amazon receives payment? Extension makes virtual visa card, fills payment fields automatically and send payments?
Also ask on this question:Can I pay prime membership that way? If I pay by your extension, how does refund happens? Where do I get money?
3611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: November 12, 2018, 09:36:30 PM
Surprising... because from what I am seeing, the interest in gambling is going down. I agree that online gambling is now accounting for a larger market share, but if you take the overall gambling industry, it is having a negative growth.

That's why my government forbid bitcoin gambling because just like OP said that gambling attacking our young generation.
Since our people can't control themself and they are not open minded just like Europe, our government really take an action against gambling and crypto gambling.
If some country able tolarate bitcoin gambling industry , it means that they capable to understand their behavior against gambling !
When I was in my 8th, knew sony vegas, AE, photoshop, html/css. So it wasn't hard for me to hide my identity by using VPN and knew when and how to bypass situations like that, could gamble online and withdraw money by using someone's wallets I knew. So if I knew that, someone who is interested too will easily be enlightened, you need to just google.
Gambling addiction isn't a problem, it's your choice of life. Your tight mind inspires you to look casino as a profit source, then you get addicted. Have a fun from gambling, if you can't - then avoid, do something that makes you strong and happy in a healthy way.
3612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung: Smartphones are the Most Secure Device When Using Cryptocurrency on: November 12, 2018, 08:32:22 PM
When it comes to safety, offline wallets are the most safest ones. If we compare smartphones to PC/Laptops, everything depends on OS. Btw simple user may be more secure on smartphones because it will less likely be affected by viruses, usually target is Windows OS. On another hand Linux is the most secure to my mind, it gives an extra layervof protection and anonimity in every aspect, there is a reason why some IT people choose it.
3613  Economy / Economics / Re: Evolution of money from barter system to crypto currency on: November 12, 2018, 07:33:38 PM
Btw if you see guys, historically currency development happens for centuries, it started when we entered in civilization. It's still developing because as you see in 21th century we have new type of currencies, cryptocurrencies. It was great when wasn't popular. Everything that's good is abused and then loses it's most important pros. Bitcoin isn't as decentralyzed as it was meant.
Silver coin -> Gold Coin -> Paper Money -> Digital Money -> Crypto currencies, still digital but on high level. What will be next?
3614  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do credit cards lock your account if they see you buying bitcoin? on: November 11, 2018, 10:43:55 PM
Guys remember in The US last year when Visa or Mastercard or Discover or AMEX (don't remember which one) stopped to support transactions related to cryptos. It was like a mini tsunami in the news.

OP, you can get fired at any time from a bank, they have no obligation to accept you. But they usually do it in a professional way. They give you a deadline (like 2 months) so you can find a new bank. They don't call you to say "today is the last day"

Credit cards are different from Debit card. The credits card are tied with a loan (usually a "Revolving credit") I hope you're not planning to borrow money from your bank to buy bitcoins....
This is the first time I read bank pushes you to move in another bank, usually what I see is that banks offer loan portability even if you don't have good loan history. Well, it's not USA and here is very different situation.
Do they same applies to premium users if this "mistake" (bitcoin purchase) is made?
Btw what I want to know, LeGaulois is there difference if I buy bitcoin with credit card or debit card? On debit card they have no reaction?

Hi Bitsler team,

I am a developer and I just implemented a DiceBot named 'MyDiceBot', check it out here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5057661

It's cross-platform, including Windows, Mac, Linux. And also compatible with Seuntjies DiceBot's Lua scripts.

I would like to add Bitsler into MyDiceBot, but I do not find any official document of the API (actually Bitsler has provided API key officially).

Would you please PM me if there's any document available somewhere?
Bitsler already have an auto bet feature, I doubt that they will permit you integrating their website to your service. What would even be the advantage of using your service instead of using their straight forward auto bet feature? You will need to ask their permission first, I know that a lot of dice sites are included with your service but maybe Bitsler would be different from them.
From your words, to imagine them in real life, then there must be monopoly. Bitsler had autobet feature but for example personally I prefer to use 3rd party software, just prefer and what to do? Feel very comfortable when I play with Seuntjies bot. Or on another hand browser takes a lot of resources, if I have a bad computer or just want to make use as less resources as possible, I would use other 3rd party service.
Nothing to say about that, this bot gives you possibility to build some strategy and go on. Everything has pros and cons, at least he did something, improved UI in his work and it looks nicer than original source and inspiration.
3616  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard is investing in blockchain on: November 01, 2018, 11:23:01 PM
Mastercard and bitcoin together? Hmm, sounds very strange. By the way it sounds logical if they decided to invest in blockchain technologies or even plan to implement it. But I can't understand why blockchain didn't gain their attention from the very begining? Well, good at least, plus governments are implementing blockchain technologies in land registry and etc, seems we all will move on BC technologies soon.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would people want to adopt Bitcoin as a payment option? on: November 01, 2018, 11:03:44 PM
We live in a world where we are bombarded with choices and the same goes for payment methods. We currently have a veriety of different payment methods, like : Credit Cards / Debit Cards / PayPal / Payment processors /  Charge cards / Prepaid cards / Phone and mobile payments / Money orders / Online Banking ePayments (OBeP) / Cheque and Crypto currencies.

looking at the wide selection of options on the table, would you be able to motivate people to adopt Bitcoin, over any of the other options?

What sets Bitcoin apart from these other options and how would you differentiate between these payment methods and Bitcoin? What makes Bitcoin better?

Let's discuss.  Wink
Do you really ask this question? Bitcoin is unique payment method. Some websites, like chanel, gucci, sephora, ulta and others have restrictions when your shipping adress and paypal's billing adress doesn't match, you aren't able to order things on someone. Bitcoin has no limits, from nowhere. Also imagine you want to buy something where it's better to protect your privacy, bitcoin is a solution here. It's very practical, has low fees which can't affect your budget, you own your own wallet and money, that's amazing when you don't depend on 3rd parties.
3618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hong Kong authorities presented the rules of cryptocurrency business on: November 01, 2018, 10:02:31 PM
Regulation is inevitable, and it may be good in the long term.

It will give more stability to the market, as those "China ban bitcoin" news will disappear.

But bitcoin cannot be controlled or domesticated by any regulation. They will realize that soon or later.
Crypto isn't really solely created just to be regulated yet this is really fully contrary on its main purpose of its existence but sad to know the reality that
we would really need to follow the path of regulation if we do like for Crypto to be adopted on all sorts. For BTC and other decentralized things its really hard
for them to control and I'm sure they are aware on such thing and that's why they are still blocking it out because they aren't capable on handing it.
Many countries are trying to come up with rules that will regulate the crypt, in my opinion in the end they will succeed, and they do it for the most part in order to prevent the sponsorship of terrorism in the first place as we all know about it Yes, money laundering and much more.
Oh that's why I don't like when something amazing gets popular among people, they abuse it and then governments try to regulate. Wish these people wouldn't be so gossip.
On another hand, this regulation isn't something anyone has to worry, it's good step for them, better than prohibitation. While bitcoin exists, nothing can stop money laundering or leak users' privacy. But also when they talk about bitcoin as a money laundering option, look howbhuge banks like Deutch Bank and others launder billions.
3619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2013 vs bitcoin 2017 on: November 01, 2018, 09:33:23 PM
100% agree to OP, I was pesimist and was laughing when I was seing posts like bitcoin will be 10K in 2018 year and etc, I couldn't imagine that but now I don't think so. Yeah, there is a high chance bitcoin will hit 100K and even more. There will be halving, it's one of the main reason to see rise, unprofitable mining can't exist + consider bitcoin's current price, it's highest one. Once it was 1000K, then become 20K, there is 20x growth, so hope at least therr will be 5x growth of 20K.
3620  Other / Archival / Re: EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT CRYPTOCURRENCY on: November 01, 2018, 04:49:57 PM
Everyone finds what they want after some affords, which can be a lot sometimes. When I found bitcoin, even 99% of people in my country didn't know what it was. Even now, most of them says it's scam lol, I can't stop laugh, they don't know what an amazing thing this shit is. This coin changed life of a lot of people in a good way.
I only agree bitcoin education in universities where people study economics and business administration, management and it's related subjects.
