3601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A forgotten story of bounty hunter on: March 22, 2021, 05:38:46 AM
You may be surprised that bounty hunters are the most poorest investors in the crypto space,
They didnt start out as investors though. Rather as collectors of coins that they supposed were to become second to bitcoin. In reality they wasted their time and effort in promoting projects that were either failures of scams or cashgrabs.

Quote
Lol, there are various project that failed during the 2017 till now, bounty hunters aren't not profiting from doing bounty, rather they are given peanuts for their hard work, I was a bounty Hunter that had up to 250 tokens in my wallet, till today only one coin I could witness about that I withdrew.
Many of the hunters from that time have had ethereum wallets filled with tokens that one cannot keep track of anymore. Huge quality but low quality is what happened to the market of new altcoins.

DeFi came before that but became popular much later even then that also followed a similar demise. Too many projects but zero value in any of them.
3602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? on: March 21, 2021, 07:03:56 AM
Fiat is Bullsh*t.
You have used the same "crap" to pay for your morning bread today, also the people from hundreds of countries where bitcoin is not known or used have also used it to ease their hunger pains.

In some ways; decentralization, immutability, scalability, lesser transaction cost etc. But, in terms of holding it as an asset, it is very volatile. It can be $100 now, in 5 minutes time it is higher or lesser.
5 minutes? I think you are getting the idea of volatility too exaggerated. And making a change by 1dollar in the price of an article needs a significant movement of price. That though is less likely everyday.

Quote
In transaction cases, I prefer cryptocurrency to fiat.
Then you lucky to live in a place where you have such an avenue of spending.

so now based on the popularity of cryptocurrency across the nation people still value fiat more than bitcoin, most especially old adults in the society.
Of course you wont want your gramps to use some cyberpunk currency that can be easily stolen in the hands of a less tech savvy person. Even then the current generation if supposed to be able to use crypto more, does not - because they are less knowledgeable about. Still I am seeing an improvement in this since the prices of coins reached mainstream markets. Again this will become big if their governments allow crypto spending and trading without bars.
3603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best TA, or combined TA and FA, on the web? on: March 21, 2021, 06:54:29 AM
Instead of depending on another person to do TA, I would suggest you to learn how to do TA yourself if your objective is to day trade in the upcoming days. Depending on another person for TA, you would never be able to execute trades with a clear mind as what your goals in doing that trade might be.

Why it might seem good to you to follow someone else's TA is because you dont have to blame yourself when you lose money - you will blame it on the person whom you follow - but you cant do anything in real because they have some terms on their content. Cheesy

Sucks but true, if you follow the easy way of being lazy, you will be the one losing out.

There is also the option of buying low and then holding it for long term to sell which essentially does not need TA.
3604  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Smg.ltd - Ponzi scheme on: March 20, 2021, 06:24:44 AM
Maximum amount can be Infinite. Joke of the month it seems.

Funny they reduced the minimum amounts on their page now to 1/10th of the what the OP has posted. They even have basic spelling mistakes all over the website. Team descriptions is a joke. None of the pictures taken seem to be legitimately posted here. All these points to a scam but I am sure there are several more like this cropping up every second on the internet.

All that "Registered company" BS is fake. Any knowledgeable person can check and verify the same and it is not difficult to forge a picture like that.
3605  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Dynarian - Plagiarized Whitepaper on: March 20, 2021, 06:17:44 AM
Newbie account posting an ANN that is copy pasted from bitcoin whitepaper is not new to the scammers manifesto. Domain is newly registered as well.

Hoping this should save some noobs into putting their money into this scammers wallets. They also have a wallet software - malware security experts on this forum should be able to sandbox and analyse the code and see if there is any hidden malware too. These are things that every new investor should do before putting their money in.

There is also description of the team behind the project. Flag supported.
3606  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] GamingProfits - Ponzi Scheme on: March 19, 2021, 10:03:06 AM
They posted their link in the forum and are now running the noobs who are going to visit the site with drool overflowing from their mouths just like the greed in them.

I hope anyone who is intelligent enough will read the flag and come to this forum and understand that bitcoin or altcoins once sent a anonymous user on the internet are NOT ever recoverable unless the person who is now owning them gives them back voluntarily - A scammer would not return it.

Such illegal methods to resell games and all, sounds very sketchy and therefore if you want to keep your money safe, dont entertain them or visit their community.

I dont use discord so I am not sure if there are methods to reports to the discord dev team about such incidents, if someone knows more about this, please do take the necessary steps.

Started a flag on the accused - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2667
3607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many coin in circulation on: March 19, 2021, 09:55:07 AM
Why still investing on new coins? what is the actual intention of those investors?
New traders in the market means new meat for the scammers to feed on. They continue the ICO/IEO scams to DeFi after it boomed. They want to keep the newbies in the dark so they can never discover the reality of what the ICO market was - nothing but a pump and dump followed by a failure.

Quote
They invest to make money in short term so the chance of survival of those projects are very less even if they are more than good enough. So simply wait until the project becomes old then analyze all those points you mentioned.
Mainstream markets cannot be compared with the crypto markets. The latter is nowhere near them. These points are useful for making a nice looking post but in reality nothing can be used to compare the efficacy of a new project in the market - most of the time it has been a gamble and one in which the odds are highly against you.

Still do not get it why some people have to peer into altcoins coming new when we already have well known altcoins or Bitcoin.
3608  Economy / Securities / Re: I need investor. We can start with $50 or $25! 100x return within a month! on: March 18, 2021, 05:53:44 AM
You know, I register domains for $10 and flip them for more. But since I don't have a financial freedom. I'm not doing very well.
So you resort to dirty means of making money like asking for money which you dont have any interest in giving back? Basically gambling away people's money. If you think being financially free means being able to ask for money from people who dont know you, then you are wrong.

Quote
If someone with $50 ( maybe $25 ) can invest on me, We can make it.
How about you get a real job, in this pandemic possibilities are changed but you can still earn a decent living if you start moving out from your basement and use your basic skills.

Quote
I don't really know how to prove myself.
Without a prior trade feedback nobody in this forum will trust you with a satoshi. If you need a loan you would have to provide a valuable as a valid collateral. Which is what I guess you are already not having. But you still have a device to access the internet and post here and therefore you should be able to get a loan from your local bank.
3609  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 60+ Billion Bets | 113+ BTC Jackpot! on: March 18, 2021, 05:45:33 AM
The user might've placed the bet playfully, and the luck has stood with him. Anyhow its big and congratulations on the win.
Very unlikely. Most bets that end up with such wins are never a "one-off" play. The players mostly set the settings for the game and put in the money to run that and allow it to roll and stop when the multiplier hits. This makes sure to drain the balance as well in case luck does not favor you but also give the big win in case luck does favor.

If such "playfully" wins would happened then the casino would not be making a profit. Of course the amount lost to the amount won is already high.

The irritating thing that happens with these play modes is that often you might end up hitting the same multiplier on the opposite side Cheesy
3610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it really a benefit that nobody controls the price? on: March 17, 2021, 06:33:58 AM
The fact that volatility is there does not necessarily change the price of the article being sold by the merchant by an extent that it need a huge price adjustment.

Say bitcoin was priced at 60k USD and now dropped to 55k USD in 2 days. What is the percentage drop in price? 8.33% so if your article was priced at 10 dollars, the new price of the same will rise by 8.33% to keep the USD value of the article same when someone buys it. That makes it hardly a dollar more to an exact of 10.83$ to buy it with bitcoin at the lowered price.

That is considering the huge price drop that happened in the last two days, if that happens once again then only this situation arises. Of course you may say that a dollar extra means a huge amount in your local currency, which in my case it is, but I consider that there are alternative methods to bypass this issue.

For example they can change to default USD prices when the price surges are more than +/-5%. Cool
3611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: March 17, 2021, 06:17:28 AM
But that's how beginners often don't want to learn more deeply, even though these mistakes can bring us more to know what happens afterwards.
Cant really say a yes or no to that. Beginners are learning so they will make mistakes and that will cost them money. But in case they are a beginner to crypto but a veteran in speculative assets - these people have a higher chance of not doing these mistakes.

Many crypto traders have been previous stock market traders too so that has given them some experience on market manipulation even though it is crazy manipulation in crypto.

However for a complete beginner, mounting losses one after the other, they will end up broke with time and not be able to sustain for long. That is the time they should stop for sometime and focus on other things. In the meantime they can get a better insight in what they were doing wrong. That might be productive if they wish to try trading again.
3612  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] DogeBank Ponzi scheme on: March 17, 2021, 06:08:23 AM
Another DOGE named scam site to fool the fools who are overhyped with the Musk-induced DOGE craze even though its price dropped back to normal levels.

Like 25% everyday statement gave me a lol wut? situation. Sit on your money and watch it grow big without doing anything - who does not want that to happen? These are wet dreams of many people but sadly they are all fake statements to scam newbies.

For any person who is checking on the above said site, they should know that there is no method to make money like that and the site is a scam. You dont have to believe me, you will learn your lesson if you put money there but that will cost you your DOGE for the lesson. Cheesy
3613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Management in trading cryptocurrencies ...?? on: March 16, 2021, 06:59:15 AM
Especially good psychology will have a good impact on your trading.
Understanding the market psychology is important and this comes in a few years after having watched the market or traded actively. Theoretical understanding has little effect here, it is a more practical thing. You sell when the market pumps and you buy when the market crashes. That is how you take advantage of the situation. But most traders do it wrongly without even knowing.

Quote
Technical analysis is also important and must be studied in depth to be able to read where the market is going.
Both fundamental and technical is important but even then TA will not be a 100% predictor of anything. It can give you an idea of which side the price might move but you have to decide the next step. You cant blame TA for ending up in a loss. This develops with reading of charts and learning how quickly the market normally reacts to changes in news and politics.
3614  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the average buying of some companies be considered a sign of the bottom? on: March 16, 2021, 06:44:50 AM
All companies that have bought Bitcoin will sell it at some point,
But you dont know the buying price or time. We see them in the limelight this year but if they have been diligent enough with their investments which they usually are, they would have bought when price was back in 10k USD or lower. Taking that into account any price that they sell at in this market is a profit.

Quote
and this point will mostly be this year.
That is longshot. With more governments that may be willing to allow crypto, the price will increase. These companies know how to milk out a price from an asset instead of selling everything at one price. So they will likely sell by at a slow and staggered pace, not all at once.

Quote
Can we consider the average bitcoin price that some companies bought bitcoin as an indicator for our next bottom or ATH bottom, assuming that those companies will try to sell before they achieve losses?
Again, I am more of the assumption that they are not selling everything at once.

Again if they sell, small cap investors will also buy making the price balance out at a level much higher than the average buying price of these companies put together. These small cap groups havent been able to buy big amounts in bitcoin, courtesy of the high price.
3615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Strategies to trade new listing on top exchange on: March 16, 2021, 06:37:32 AM
Many times a new project listed will Pump very high and it will seem like it will keep going up and then suddenly it will start dumping really hard while many traders will have no choice than to sell at loss.
It means they bought at the high too - that was a mistake and they are losing because of that only. New project does not mean a legit project, the contrary is more common. After getting listed a group of investors will always be there who are looking to 10% gain their 100$ investment and exit the project. They will cause a dump, you cannot avoid it.

Quote
I think one of the things to do to trade a new listed project is to wait till when the price is stable. Most times price usually pump and then dump  then it will pick up later due to traffic trading and then later dump.
By the time the price becomes stable, it may become so stagnant that you can never get any profit off your initial buying price. This is common with the projects that have come in as altcoins. Not bitcoin though.

Quote
All this usually happen between one to tow days.
Nope, you cant generalize a number for how long a pump or dump may continue or stop. It depends on how much the people who manipulated the pump wants.

This is not the yardstick to measure when the price will be stable. Instead you need to learn about whether the project has any real use case or inherent market making capabilities. Because most projects dont have these.
3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Networks on Metamask on: March 15, 2021, 06:08:47 AM
Like Ropsten and others?

All those are for testing and other purposes, similar to the Bitcoin testnet. They resemble the real ether chain in order to allow testing..but not for transacting on the real Ethereum chain. For that you must remain on the proper network that is already there and send coins on that network.

Buy tokens on the mainnet, not on any testnet. I suggest you also read a bit about the network and how it works. You may be new to the thing and for that you need to learn safety methods to prevent scams.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I convince people that Bitcoin isn't a financial pyramid? on: March 15, 2021, 06:04:28 AM
Maybe telling them every day, showing them proof that you are actually making money from this, guarantees that they will show an interest one day.
I am still skeptical about this method of teaching - one where the commodity being discussed has a bigger negative image from the start.

Instead letting them come to you to learn is what I feel has the more number of acceptance. However the bad effect of this is that they will be very late by the time they realize but seriously speaking that is not our problem, not ours. In case we are talking about family members and close friends, this will hurt to see but we cant do anything to help them if they are not willing to help themselves.

After all, it is their choice whether to use bitcoin or not. Everyone has their own reservations and another person is defenitely not the one to change that.
3618  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] White Pigeon Plagiarized Whitepaper on: March 15, 2021, 06:00:32 AM
I hope Wapinter stops the bounty, would like to hear from them too in case the team has shown their real colors to him or not and if they have said anything worth rebuttal.

Many times these projects keep the managers in the dark and the managers are also in a bad position because by putting their reputation at stake, the scammers operate and then run along leaving the manager to receive all the flak from the community.

Waiting to hear from @Wapinter.
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will Coinbase list Dogecoin? on: March 14, 2021, 06:52:07 AM
There was a big rumour in the Crypto market that Dogecoin will list in Coinbase. If it happens, we may able to see a big pump from Dogecoin.
May or may not. See the Elon Musk sponsored pump of Dogecoin did not last long and I am glad I sold my Doge stash on that pump and got the profit in bitcoin which is currently rising. Of course it will increase the number of users who might have used doge being Coinbase users but honestly speaking who would really want to buy a coin that has no inherent growth and remains stagnant till some celeb pumps it so they can make profit from it?

Quote
Doge is the dencentralized digital currency. This a massive news for all Doge holders. I don't find any official news regarding this. So, what do you think about it?
Without official news rumors are as good as dead news. We dont see rumors making it to the headlines after the rumor ends do we? Even then if such a pump occurs, it will be temporary and my advice would be to finally sell your doge at the next pump and exit the vicious cycle of anxiety and depression that occurs to altcoins hodlers.
3620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why new projects/ coins do not have ANN on bitcointalk ? on: March 14, 2021, 06:47:05 AM
What does ANN mean?
Announcement - can be of a new service or a new token that get launched. At one time we had ICO projects posting their ANN as a part of their promotional campaign on this forum in order to get the word out among the forum users.

Although with time the ANN of Altcoins sections begun to show their real faces that majority of these ICO projects were scams or failures from the start.

I agree because some of the projects are focused on social medias whein millions to billions of audiences get advertised every single day plus the streaming sites. Youtube, twitter, facebook, telegram, reddit are common to newer projects nowadays.
It is easier to spread a scam project on social media where the calling out gets suppressed like anything. While on this forum we have "Scam Accusations" where the importance to the calling out of such scams is given much importance so much so that we can tag the accused and ruin their reputation here on bitcointalk.
