Superbru have finally activated UCL. The pool's been created and I've sent a PM to all paid participants. Let me know if you run into issues!

Anyway, we should expect 26 people and we have 2 sponsored slots from kind anon person so I'm 100% certain we will have 29 at minimum. Honestly I don't think that's bad at all for the "first go"!
Nice lists there, I see you are taking this pool very seriously. However you have some duplicates for sure, just by glancing at the lists you have cryptofrka in both paid and promised to play Smiley Could be more

I like our smaller pools, 60 is a bit too much for me, 25 is just about right. Big enough to make it interesting and small enough to "know" all the participants. That is my goal for the pools I am running.

Yeah, well, it is a sort of revival pool in UCL case, one failed attempt last season and even the past seasons not much interest, so wanted the first one to get more love, I would have tried even more if I hadn't been away past month!

And nice spot, I guess this means only 28 then heh! I must have forgot to take cryptofrka out of the list, he's the only one duplicated (already checked).

Also, one sponsored spot (igehhh) is already given away, there were 2 other semi-requests but they haven't really responded back so it's still up for grabs if anyone knows someone who might want it!

I do enjoy smaller pools for sure, World Cup and Euro I hope will get around the same # if those pools start up.

Anyone getting early group stage tickets to do a bit of euro tripping?
3602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: August 28, 2022, 04:04:34 PM
It looks like I was unnecessarily positive about Sainz to win this.  Cheesy  I just didn't expect Ferraris to stay this much slow. Leclerc had some problems in this race also which didn't surprise me even a bit. Sainz was the only hope but he was even struggling to stay ahead of Russell in the last moments. What a horrible race for Ferrari!

I actually almost wanted to leave either Sainz or Hamilton out, in the end kept them both in but redeemed myself with backing Verstappen against my gut. Thought it was over actually when he started in 14th but RB just seem to have found the formula to F1 this season and aren't letting go. Think it's time to give up on Ferrari really.
3603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 28, 2022, 02:53:49 PM
Villa so frustrating and I hope Gerrard can see they're just relying on Coutinho so much he's almost become a crutch they really need to throw off.

On Hammers, came into the game being the only league team to not score in England this season (6 goals in Europa so far though haha), man they looked like ghosts in first half. Needed a huge deflection to finally open account.

Antonio only came on for the final third, and I've been wondering if he's been so bad the past 3 games he got benched? Didn't watch so have no idea if was warranted. Did look as if he couldn't change the game even after coming on while Coutinho went off injured until much later on. This was the team that beat Liverpool on the Bitcoin ATH day...

Come on Spurs, lose today =D

BTTS acca on all tonight's games? Why not? Feeling like switching up my mini 5-leg accas with everything below 2/1:

Pretty dumb?

11/16 is my position after failing to see the draw from Juve. I honestly thought I was being smart about picking a 2-1 upset... and now Gini broke his leg I didn't know about until only when I saw him missing from squad. I've been SO out of it I will need a week or two min to catch up with everything. Pretty bad performance across all leagues on season start.
I sort of remember reading that some player on training broke his leg and then Mou sent that player away fro the club but also forgot about it when making my picks. Did not watch Roma yet this season and did not even know Gini actually plays for them. I mean if I think about it I know, but not in my guts when I am making the picks. If you guys know what I mean, you just have a mental picture of some team and Gini did not enter my for Roma.

If he weren't Liverpool ex and one of my favs, I wouldn't have known either, tbh. Might have mentioned it earlier or maybe in another thread (Europa maybe) but I thought Roma might actually pull off some miracles just for having such a quality midfielder to give more room to Tammy up front.

Now with him out til 2023, oops... I hate to say it, but it's already like a curse to leave Liverpool to seek better pastures, at least, to a seemingly bigger club for more wages. Mane looks like he's bucking the trend, so good for him.

3605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Resisting the below twenty thousand level on: August 28, 2022, 01:08:15 PM
It's been what is in the discussions on podcasts everywhere and if MtGox coins are distributed, prices will be dragged to $17k.

If podcasts everywhere are so fixated on a point that's so old, and only for a 15% slide in price, well, wow, they've really run out of big bad bear news to slobber over. Fed and global economic news all no longer scare people?

Also, been a while since I spent way too much time looking at price movements on a computer, almost wasted Sunday, just keep thinking it'd either find an unexpected strong bounce back up, or just concede into the slipstream. Couldn't be more finely poised today, even saw 19999 and then 20001 on Google's price watch.

Thanks for earlier replies! As I'd mentioned, do have some reservations about what new value reviews can do, but always curious to see innovation in this department (online gaming, gambling, crazy how it's become so inventive but the reviewing aspect has actually become worse).

Looking at the weaknesses of most review sites where reviewers aren't really able to give observations without playing for at least a year actively, what's the plan for reviewing, and where can I find your Review ethics (even if draft) touching on the topics I mentioned in my first post here? Noting that not many review sites actually have one that's easily found Wink
3607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who Would You Likely Sign Up Under In Casinos on: August 28, 2022, 11:02:05 AM
I've personally only ever signed up for casinos/bookies:

a. because I want to, found them interesting and have heard good things.
b. because someone I trust and know well who gambles there prompted me to. This is when I sign up under them.

Sometimes, (a) leads me to look for (b) and to sign up under someone who already has an account there. Just makes sense someone I know should benefit.

Been pretty lucky, guys above me tend to give me back some of the earnings, otherwise I don't expect to get anything back from losing at a casino/bookie.
3608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 28, 2022, 08:54:12 AM
Heh all you posting stats, they don't really mean much in Bundesliga ping pong. Watching the game dumps out the stats, in general. And ah, I skipped betting against City and Bayern yesterday, thinking I didn't want to waste money. Both games I was regretting at HT, but by FT, both vindicated me.

My man Sadio finally didn't score, saw one German press call him Sadioffside Made --  though really, he's also a lot of offside in Liverpool, why that nick eh? But 30+ shots and 20 on target? Bayern really have a bogey team, don't they?!
3609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | FPL Football Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 28, 2022, 07:33:26 AM
Every transfer I made this week has affected me negatively. I sold Odegaard and bought Rashford.

I was actually asking Trofo in chat earlier if there were anyone who'd bought into United's resurgence and took in Rashford/Sancho. Guess I found one of them, haha! Hope you at least got Bruno in as he's the only United player I rated all season last year.

Btw, hats off to the 500k managers who transferred out TAA prior to the BOU game.  Cheesy

Why would anyone do that? Haha. Bad reviews from United and Fulham? But he's always been bad defensively, he more than makes up for points surely in assists alone.

I made only one transfer and it will probably end very bad for me, I changed Haaland for Kane.

Yeah, honestly I looked at my position, effectively not playing the first 3 games of season and I'm not TOO bad. This week's gamble leaving Salah out was pretty cool, only I should have put Haaland in (opted for VVD and switching things around so one defender goal is not TOO bad).

Probably shouldn't have used my wild card so early but thought I needed to clear out my squad with injuries and randos...
3610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +83718 units on: August 28, 2022, 06:12:05 AM
Far from hitting, disappointing pick. Didn't even get the upsets competition right as more upsets happened in EFL trophy (Fulham I recall was the highest).

Still, be glad I didn't waste money on Palace last night, thought I'd missed an opp at HT but City as usual...

Instead, let's look to topple PSG, they look scary but Monaco always has a chance I feel.

100 units at Fairlay on Monaco to WIN vs PSG @11.95. Other odds: 10.80
Units advantage: 115

Running advantage after 11 bets: +709 (+115)
All-time cumulative: +83,833
Running units after 10 bets (3W|7L): +1,414 (-100)
3611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: August 28, 2022, 05:06:56 AM
yeah, I missed them as well, but as a hedge, since I have Lazio to win Calcio this season
Udinese win as well, Monza is probably worst team in Serie A this season

Juventus is playing Roma today, will be interesting, Juve started great against Sassuolo, but proved that it could be a glitch against Sampdoria, and Roma is playing better and better with Mourinho, expect more from them this season

Ha yeah, I will end up betting on Monza one of these days though, perhaps as long as I see a 10/1 or more odds home game against midtable teams.

11/16 is my position after failing to see the draw from Juve. I honestly thought I was being smart about picking a 2-1 upset... and now Gini broke his leg I didn't know about until only when I saw him missing from squad. 3612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: August 27, 2022, 05:30:43 PM
^ Sure, but they've their biggest weakness in terms of management, as if they've just got a revolving door that won't let anyone sit there for a full season. Forgot and have given up trying to remember who manages them.

And now, despite coming back twice, losing to QPR. Only Rotherham and PNE left with an unbeaten season. Reading doesn't care though!
3613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: August 27, 2022, 03:42:58 PM
@Harkorede nice catch on those exact scores. I was actually having doubts about Celta as I took them out of my acca (they were quoted almost 3/1 at some point) and now regret that. You're joining Champions League pool right?

Yeah, thanks! I was really skeptical and was about changing them to draws hoping to get at least one right, good thing that I didn't.

I'll definitely be joining the UCL pool as well, where is the fun in missing any of these pool ? I hope I can keep my record of the past 2-3 season where I've come in 1st or 2nd place, at least it will be well worth it this time around  Cheesy

Wonderful, I've just added your name as a pending participant haha, you're absolutely right, what's the fun in missing out?!

I've a feeling Barca will surprise a lot of people in UCL, I doubt anyone expects them to even make it out of Last 16 but there's something weird this season with so many teams in flux. Literally in flux, almost every big name minus PSG (are they really even that big?) have some major change in philosophy or personnel and this will be a cool season of unknowns.

Today isn't super interesting for me in La Liga, EPL has been quite breathless already but Mallorca if I'm not mistaken are quoted by bookies as a slight favourite. That seems weird to me =)
3614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | FPL Football Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 27, 2022, 02:36:17 PM
OK, so, first half performance from Liverpool is poetry.

I did take Salah out, hoping Diaz and TAA would do all the job and I was sort of right. My only regret? I removed Firmino when I refreshed the team to keep VVD in defence... haha, who's now got 3 assists and a goal. He was even my vice ouch.

Not bad, not bad. Don't worry guys, Trofo's right. Salah your captain will still give returns, he's been so sharp, just missing at least one sitter.
3615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An article on how to be a Bitcoin maximalist on: August 27, 2022, 02:22:34 PM
It's just that the total nutjob maximalists are the loudest ones.

Want to agree but the loudest ones I used to come into contact with weren't even total nutjobs but were even just chest-out mealy-mouthed business suits who got lucky with Bitcoin, secretly invested in alts, publicly invest more in Bitcoin but ask them to sign a transaction and they'll fumble to figure out if they can do that with Coinbase Pro and Limited Edition gold-plated Ledger (I made this one up but not surprised if it exists). Not sure if they even really ever used Bitcoin in a supportive way.

Super toxic, pay to be seen at events and conferences... you know who they are before you know who the vegans are.

I do actually like most maximalists, they appear so to me, perhaps have never claimed to being one themselves.

Speaking of corners... if you really think United can get 9 corners, then you need to make sure you're participating in THIS new Sportsbet.io promo giving away $10 USDT freebets for every corner (up to 10) that United wins in this game: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5411281
~

Has anyone been able to take advantage of this promotion? Firstly, I could only upload this broadcast on YouTube, and secondly, I did not see any promotional codes. Did the presenters voice them orally or what? Honestly, I feel like I wasted my time trying to figure out how it works.
Surprisingly, United still took the lead, and Ronaldo was released on the field not 5 minutes before the end.

I'm not able to go on, but according to regulars there are all receiving the freebets as we speak. Last time I checked 3 corners so 3 freebets already. In fact they're saying they're surprised not many more people are on there claiming those bets.

Are you sure you're on Club Talk? That's where it happens and where you can ask whatever's going on for any promo.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Changes Lives, Touches Non-Formal Education for Underprivileged Children on: August 27, 2022, 12:55:06 PM
Hi OP! As soon as I saw Lhok Khaju I knew where this was. Instant memory lane trip for me!

I was at ground zero in 2004 and 2005. I lived and worked with your people for a while, and acknowledging the tragedy at the time, I enjoyed every moment and have many cherished memories from the time I spent there. And for the next ten years I still kept tabs for work. I wish only I had kept better contact with people in my youth as I recently considered visiting your place again to see how far it's come since.

I don't think many of us are particularly proud of how we started on this forum (feel free to see my post history haha). But that initial attraction is always natural, and be glad that you know see Bitcoin in a different light. I personally think Bitcoin in your place might not be the best solution for everyone (remember what happened in 2004-2008 when people just gave everyone jobs that were 10x national pay, satellite internet etc etc thinking that was good) and perhaps it only needs people like you to start using it to create awareness. First steps!

Also I think it's always tough to break into this forum, to be accepted, etc. But that's probably because it always becomes obvious when you're trying hard. Find what suits you, contribute, help, and if it still doesn't happen, then it's okay!

I wish you well.

3618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: August 27, 2022, 11:32:46 AM
And the fixtures list has been released! Official fixtures updated in OP and can be found here: https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/fixtures-results/#/md/35203

Don't have a good overall image but impossible to find something that'll fit here, I'm really looking forward to this season!

Really not liking that we're meeting Ajax again as I prefer they go and knock out other teams haha, but here's hoping Barca find a way to take Munich out, but we've got to exorcise our Napoli demons =D
3619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betnomi.com ⚽️ Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion (Prize Fund 0.3 BTC) on: August 27, 2022, 10:27:28 AM
^^^ I've actually been sending out PMs to people here and there and several have said they wouldn't play, others cite there being many pools already and as Trofo points out, quite a heavy load, which is perfectly understandable. Even in my home country, the total commitment is already 1.5x monthly wage!

That said, this is a big prize, a shorter competition (less likely for people to forget to put picks and miss a week). Oh and, from my PMs, some regulars have actually responded NOT knowing about the thread... which really surprised me, as I literally mention it in almost all the UEFA threads and even in the UEFA member league threads every now and then. So yeah, it really baffles me like darxiaomi how we're not getting as many participants.

Perhaps it is because past seasons have never really been big and there is not yet enough awareness of the UCL pool. This does suggest, that next season more people will know about it. We actually already have new faces here I don't believe play in any of the other pools, and if those who confirmed end up playing, this pool will actually have quite a lot of fresh blood. I think that's good =)

Anyway, we should expect 26 people and we have 2 sponsored slots from kind anon person so I'm 100% certain we will have 29 at minimum. Honestly I don't think that's bad at all for the "first go"!

3620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear trap incoming with bearish cross-over on Weekly time-frame? on: August 27, 2022, 09:20:32 AM
What are your thoughts about this bearish cross-over? Does it signify that Bitcoin hasn't endured it's bear market for long enough in both time & price in order for a recovery, or will we still see further downside?

I know it's easier to say this now that we actually (briefly) broke 20k support twice in the past 24 hours, really didn't help that Powell's speech seems to confirm that they're going to be stubbornly plugging up the dollar... but yeah, I think this helps to confirm that Bitcoin's bear pain is far from over -- definitely needs a longer time spent, and lower prices achieved.

And I agree with above sentiment of "new" indicators like this, unproven and even if happens once will need many more repeats for reliability.
