3601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Airdrops, don't waste time with others on: November 10, 2020, 10:21:34 PM
I tried many times to participate in airdrops, but it did not bring me any results. There were cases that I had to provide KYC, and after a while I realized that I was a fool. The only time I received a reward for the Coinsbit air drop, and even in this case, the team deceived the participants by making a swap during distribution and the team itself, in one hour, at night, collapsed the prices of the coin, blocking users from entering the resource. I have a very bitter experience of participating in airdrop.
Did you try the suggestion of OP? What he considers legitimate airdrops that will surely make you profit? I think what you experienced is common towards these airdrops. Surely you are not alone with that, but it’s disappointing to make an effort and lose the things you do right after.
3602  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone! on: November 10, 2020, 03:27:44 PM
I would appreciate it if I will receive a gallon of sanitizing alcohol.
My thinking here is, when there are people who will be given to use something for free, they would use it. Especially if it’s a necessity. So give someone an alcohol, they would use it entirely and maybe support themselves again by buying it because it’s a need. IDRK.

Based on my observation in a relocation site here in my province, I hate to say it but we can give them everything(alcohol, face-shields, masks) which they will use. Unfortunately, this is not very efficient. Proper implementation and education of the safety guideline(what-to-do, why, what-ifs).
Do you mean that if they were given one, they might not use it the right way? I’m all in for education but just for safety guidelines and protocols? I don’t think so. It’s not going to be effective IMO.

I don’t get your example, btw.
3603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will YFI go down again? on: November 10, 2020, 02:00:46 PM
There are probably a lot of people who dumped their tokens and made a lot of bitcoin with that. I doubt it could go back to its all time high immediately. I don’t know why it is so hyped but it seems to be a manipulation of sorts. I’m just not willing to risk my money for that. I feel like it’s going to go down more.
3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Airdrops, don't waste time with others on: November 10, 2020, 08:30:41 AM
~snip
Because they are Airdrops from legit projects and they are officially available to the masses? What my own coin you talking about? I'm not holding any of these coins, I'm here to pinpoint few legit airdrops for airdrop hunters, if you aren't one then avoid the post, you don't have to ridicule
I'm sorry if you have taken it the wrong way. I'm not trying to ridicule you. It's just that most airdrops have almost zero to no value of coins.

That's what I'm asking you. How do you characterize it as legit? So you said that since it's available to the masses, it's already legitimate? Did you mean that it's already on the exchange? I'm just asking you, and there's no ridicule happening.
3605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PRIZE OF FIGHTING Boxing’s biggest contracts revealed on: November 10, 2020, 08:08:14 AM
It just means that there is a lot of money revolving around the boxing industry, and it's definitely a fruitful business if you know how to make your money go round. It's still all about the fame and amount of people you bring in when you are performing. It's a performance as well, just like any other show. If you have the chance to be part of this, it's worth it for sure.

I know it's not easy to get into where they are now. It needs dedication and hard work for sure, and with all that they have endured, I believe they deserve it. I don't know what they could do next after boxing for all the fame and glory you could have in the world.

I hope they find a way to help those in need.
3606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin break its previous ATH record of 20K before end of 2020? on: November 10, 2020, 05:36:48 AM
With the current rate that we have, I believe Bitcoin could reach a higher high than in 2017. We will never know unless we are there. Many companies are switching to Bitcoin to keep their funds and possibly profit in the long run. A lot more companies would probably follow, and if you would be lucky enough to have bought earlier, it would already be a profit. It's a win already.

Just make sure you are ready to risk what you can afford, and then, you would be happy when you profit, and there will be accepted when you lose. Let's see the price soon.  Wink
3607  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 10, 2020, 03:50:37 AM
Don't need any prove to justify it,
Then I guess you are biased to one ideal only. It's going to be hard going into something that has no proof of what really is there. Do you think everyone would believe you? You might be someone who is angry with the government and is contradicting everything. Just because something isn't going your way, it isn't good. You need proof to justify that it's actually bad and is actually happening.

OK if i may ask, does it means all countries was affected with corona virus?
The world won't be in a pandemic if everyone is not at risk. It definitely concerns all the countries in the world.

If you check the website of WHO, there are some countries that had 0 cases ever.

https://covid19.who.int/

Does it already mean that the most powerful people who fabricated this what you call "coronavirus" doesn't benefit anything from them that's why they didn't infect it? Or are there no people going in and out of the country?
3608  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can escrow service on bitcointalk be trusted? on: November 10, 2020, 03:35:04 AM
Personally, I have never dealt with escrows officially, but I have transactions with them because of the charity. The escrow is bL4nkcode for the Bitcointalk Charity. So he is holding a lot of money now for the charity, and he is in control of it. So for the amount of money needed for my activity, I gave the necessary things for the budget and let it be approved. That's how we conducted it. So in a way, I did deal with escrows.

When I haven't had any idea about escrows, this was the early stage of my forum activity. You could see that I have transacted with this profile.

Druckao - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=916600

And then, without any idea, I didn't look at the feedbacks that he has back then, and I didn't have any backup plan in case he didn't pay. So I just "trusted" him with it and used the code that was supposed to be sold. It sucks to be scammed. So after that lesson, I learned more about trust and understood what things should be done to get scammed.

So yes, there are still scams that could happen to you when you don't know anything about it, and it's better to be aware and safe to use a "reputable" escrow for your transactions. Csmiami pretty much went on point about how the escrow here works, so you are more knowledgeable now, OP. Use it to your advantage and not get scammed.
3609  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 10, 2020, 02:59:46 AM
So what are you really trying to say? That people who have power are corrupt? That the most powerful people fabricate a complex virus to affect so many people easily without having to trigger a release to harm them? Do they aim to target innocent people to gain more power over everyone else? Is that what you are trying to say?

I can't say I agree with you completely, but it is possible. But I wouldn't believe that easily. I would need to see some proof that they did this or something. There is a lot of fake news that might complicate people's lives, but the COVID-19 pandemic is something real for sure. There are a lot of people who have suffered and died from it all over the world.

If they did do it and manufactured this virus, it's on their conscience. But for us, ordinary people, I believe that it's up to us to follow strict health protocols and help stop its spreading. We all hope that it's the end.
3610  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How does USA election effect on crypto market? on: November 09, 2020, 11:42:26 PM
That's great News for sure. Recovering is one of the things that we need to get back to normal. As for different announcements, too, there is a possibility that there would be a vaccine soon. It's not just related to the USA election, it's also the part where Pfizer Has released 90% effectiveness on covid-19. An outstanding achievement for them too.

It may have been simultaneous event at least it's going up, not just in crypto but the stock market too. Like what Yaunfitda said. It’s still a great time to buy.
3611  Economy / Economics / Re: Effective Covid-19 vaccine found on: November 09, 2020, 04:30:26 PM
This could become a controversy just because of the nature of the claims. We all know that COVID-19 is the hottest topic this year, and being focused on this makes the demand higher. I just thought of a possible outcome with this. I believe these large companies are monopolizing the possible solution to end the new normal. They created it faster than anyone because they could've made it before the breakout. But then again, the vaccine is still being experimented with, and it is probably going to be expensive e.
3612  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone! on: November 09, 2020, 02:44:10 PM
Would you guys think it's ideal for distributing gallons and gallons of alcohol to families? This is the disinfectant kind, not the one you get drunk kind, lol. Or is it too much for people that they might waste it? With the pandemic still on-going, do you think they would appreciate it?

I just thought that in my previous activity, the people who received facemasks actually was relieved to receive it because it's part of the new normal. It's required. There are still many cases daily for COVID-19, so do you guys think it's worth doing?
3613  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone want a "I'm in the area lets hangout board" on: November 09, 2020, 05:37:08 AM
Personally, I love the idea of where people gather with the same—wavelengths or interests in a place. Connecting to people is one of the important things for development. It might not be for everyone, but it's still the best way to move forward with improvement in anything, like conventions and events.

Anyway, for 1-on-1 meetings, it's great. Meeting someone who you know nothing but posts in a forum could be the start of a great relationship. Even with differences in race, religion, upbringing, etc., you would still know nothing BIG of a difference between different people. That's what I miss about traveling the most. Communicating with people and learning about new stuff and their culture.
3614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambled against Biden - funniest instance on: November 09, 2020, 01:59:56 AM
i think he underestimated Biden that he wouldn't win at anything. He had become shortsighted that he didn't look at some of the facts that might have helped him make a better decision. Anyways, what already happened has happened, no turning back. I agree that he is not a sore loser, unlike the one who lost  Shocked

He did not have any plan B.
What other plans can you have in gambling? It's only Win or Lose. No other plans involved, lol.
3615  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Digital Art" - $1575 up for grabs! Ends October 31st on: November 09, 2020, 01:18:46 AM

3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump Wins and Trump Lose tokens from Poloniex on: November 09, 2020, 01:08:33 AM
Upon checking the chart, there's still volume within it. I believe they also have stopped using it as well. I'm not sure when it's going to be $0 but it's surely going down.

TRUMPLOSE is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled as we work to find, test, and audit a solution. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

Obviously it looks more like gambling, but what I don't seem to comprehend is the point where OP explained that TRUMPLOSE tokens will go to zero if Biden wins, sounds awkward and the most baseless kind of token I've seen in crypto history. I do hope this is a prank and not listed tokens, if listed, then its probably a dent on Poloniex reputation to list such gambling tokens which have no decent project vision.
For sure, once you call "wagering" it is gambling. Biden won already and I assume that TRUMPLOSE token would already be zero.
3617  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is doing Pump & Dump before the US Election results are finalized on: November 08, 2020, 10:58:51 PM
I'm not sure how you would correlate the US Election directly to the price of BTC. As you can see, Joe Biden had tweeted this

I don’t have Bitcoin, and I’ll never ask you to send me any.

But if you want to chip in to help make Donald Trump a one-term President, you can do that here:

It seems that he knows it exists but probably not in his top priority list as before. He seems to have yet to show what kind of side he will be with BTC. For now, we can rest assured that it's not, however, in danger of anything, but for other government officials, that might be a different story.
3618  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin start Backing USA dollar on: November 08, 2020, 06:59:28 AM
You know there's a reason why they have didn't support the gold standard anymore. They probably want to print a much as they can do. I doubt they would make it their backing asset for the USD. They have a hard time accepting cryptocurrency, then why expect it as their backing asset?
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i Invest more??? on: November 06, 2020, 03:44:03 PM
IMO, your profit is a lot for people working their asses off to have that amount. At the current price now, that's almost $9000. That's a huge amount already, and I must say you enjoy it. If you have managed to invest and profited from it, I doubt you need any more help. Maybe you are just looking for advice or someone to tell you that you had enough, but there's no one to say that truly but yourself. I'm just saying.
3620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2020, 07:45:41 AM
Most of the people who know me have some kind of idea that I'm into cryptocurrencies. Some friends on social media to see me share about possible scams that could take your money. I receive messages regarding Crypto and asking me how to earn from it. I believe that it increased by a lot because many people are considering getting more income streams because of the situation we are all in right now. I'm not going to ignore their messages because I want to help.
