3601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and it uncertainties on: November 22, 2021, 11:46:08 AM
That title might as well read – Trading life and its uncertainties. Notably, we should realize that it's not only in trading that one finds uncertainties; such cuts across all human endeavours. I think it was the great thinker René Descartes who opined that, and I rephrase, that nothing can be so certain that it can't be doubted. Come to think of it, anything trading (whatsoever level)  is highly speculative in nature and isn't with certainty. However, that isn't to say that I missed OP's point of view. I do share in their sentiments and thought pattern on the subject matter.

Whether we like it or not, it's the volatility in the crypto industry that makes it more exciting and adrenaline pumping than Stocks, FX and Binary. The best way to handle uncertainties in this industry is to have a long term plan and target and then pick a higher timeframe for entry. Determine your loss before getting in a trade and then place a stoploss to cushion any major loss.
3602  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex is asking me to scan my ID and send them my photo on: November 22, 2021, 10:13:20 AM
I know OP is skeptical because lately Bittrex hasn't had the same great reputation it had pre–2017 with the ilks of Poloniex and Coinexchange. What Bittrex is asking for isn't anything new. Recently, Binance had its own compulsory verification. It's just that a lot of traders trust Binance and didn't bat an eyelid. That was why there wasn't so much noise about it then. Most centralized exchanges are doing that now as a way to escape prosecution from regulatory authorities. You've to weigh the pros and cons of submitting your data and what you've on the exchange. If it doesn't worth your privacy, I advise you don't submit and expose your privacy. Just forgo it and move on.

I also want you to understand me correctly.
Oh, I understand you better now. Glad to know we're on the same wavelength.
3604  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alt in the Crosswise Finance Campaign on: November 21, 2021, 08:23:26 PM
@lovesmayfamilis, may be you didn't get my perspective there. I wasn't referring to any other thing there other than application or POA posts. I ain't sure any of those links you shared with us there has application campaigns, except I missed it. What I meant with my earlier disposition was like seeing a trusted poster like you apply to a Chipmixer campaign and then upon seeing your application, I splash merit on it. For me, splashing merit on that application would mean I'm saying, "You deserve to be on that campaign." That's the point I laboured to explain there. I hope you understood it better now?
3605  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What to do when spot orders are not filled for a while? on: November 21, 2021, 02:10:01 PM
Staking is like a long term investment which really need some years to generate revenue
Staking varies from days to weeks and months, depending on what duration one wants. There are options for that but just that the apy differs according to the duration.

Quote
but spot trading needs just few minutes for the trade to be completed
Well, trades getting filled depends on the parameters set for them. If the parameter is high it might take days or weeks to fill. For instance, there are traders who have Bitcoin pending sell order at $80k and above. That trade won't fill until Bitcoin gets to that point. It could take days or weeks to get there. Except someone makes an error and enter a high figure in trying to send a buy at that price. We've seen that happen a lot of times.

Quote
so how can you do the two things at the same time
It's a lot easy to do. Nothing special about that. Both are different trade technics.

Quote
I don't even know such kind of feature is available on any trading platform.
It's better to stay out on something you aren't familiar with to avoid losses.

OP, my advice to you is to get a better handle on what you intend doing. That way you will avoid the pitfalls that go with trading ignorantly. Get online tutorials on YouTube if you can't get a mentor offline.
3606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency trading is safe than forex trading on: November 20, 2021, 10:03:35 AM
I made post here when i ask how to trade cryptocurrency many people answer me well. I don’t knw if there is how i will link that post to this new one.
I guess is crypto trading different from forex trading was the thread you so referred to there? To do that, all you've to do is copy the URL of the thread topic and paste that way, that's if you don't want to use HTML or shorten it the way I did.

I just understand that cryptocurrency trading is very well safe compare to forex trading.
No, that's not true. Crypto is more risky and volatile than FX. Nothing comes close to crypto volatility in Forex Trading, except you want to consider Gold and Silver pairs which are metal instruments or GBP/JPY pair (called dragon). If you think crypto trading is easy, it's only because we are in a bull rally now. It's always like that because it's easy to profit from almost every crypto one buys. Wait for the bears to set in. That's when we know profitable traders in the industry.

What is the name of my style, is it fundamental or analization.
I guess you meant Fundamental or Technical Analysis, for there's no such word as analization in this industry.
3607  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive vs seasonal trading on: November 20, 2021, 08:14:35 AM
Should one trade passively or just trade once in a while for both emotional and physical well being.
Let me start with the last question – that decision to go passive or active will solely depend on your temperament and target. We all have our different perspectives on things.

but have been wondering which is more profitable and less stressful since trading is base on quality decision.
If something were more profitable you wouldn't expect it to also be less stressful and vice versa. If you've the set skills for trading and the ample time to do it, it's better to go active. But if you're still confused around trading and haven't been profitable at it but desire to make money from trading, go passive. And while being passive at it, make out time to learn set skills for trading. Nothing beats real trading. There are various easy ways this day to do passive trading. The favourite for me is staking. You can stake some tokens to earn the same tokens or different tokens. A lot of sites now make staking easy. Depending on the amount staked, some provide decent dividends daily.
3608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dealing with a broker and wants his commission before I see the ROI on: November 20, 2021, 07:41:52 AM
ROI is Return on Investment. What that simply means is that it's the extra on what was invested. No one asks to be sent commission on an investment without first declaring what ROI they've made the investor. So, it beats me hallow that a supposed broker is asking for commission without declaring the ROI. It's a cart before the horse situation. It's not right.

Please tell me it's not the usual Instagram/telegram stranger who told you to invest in some unknown coin and deposit money on a website where you're shown only gains, but the first time you tried to get that money they asked you to deposit more.... Cry
It's still a surprise why people continue to trust random strangers they meet online with their money. I don't want to say it's a certain level of idiocy, I mean with all that warning out there yet they still fall prey. I would say it's desperation to make money without breaking a sweet that leads to that. It's really sad. I wish people would take out time to learn these stuff themselves. There are lots of useful information out there on YouTube and all that (even here too) to kick anyone in and keep them going the right direction. It only takes time to achieve. Rome wasn't built in a day, and no one should expect that any good thing comes cheap. People should take the time and learn these skills. Don't trust them to strangers.
3609  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 20, 2021, 04:25:00 AM
Can the banks challenge the policies from the government? Are the banks working for the people or the government? is there any possibility that banks can operate freely entirely from government policies?
No one seems to want to risk daring this present government of Mohammad Buhari for fear of victimization. The few speaking out, aren't in the government and when they do speak out they're either termed opposition or wailers or embittered for speaking truth to power. It's really a sad one in Nigeria where those in authority act like demigods and above the law. They choose what laws to obey and what not to obey. This is a government that has made it irredeemably difficult getting employment for people but frown at people going into cryptos to put food on the table for themselves. I'm of the opinion that the leadership of the country simply wants to keep its citizens perpetually poor and out of school for a simple reason that they may easily oppress them. Below is an excerpt from one of the banks in Nigeria to its customers. It's a warning not to indulge in cryptocurrencies.

3610  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: African Proverbs in Pidgin on: November 20, 2021, 03:50:16 AM
Proverb:
For we Pighin; Them say na only pikin way dey for belle you fit say, e no do.
Meaning; Never be so sure and ready to advocate or stand for a person based on his or her past behaviours not to have done or committed a particular thing. In life, people change!
This matta com remind me of something wey happen for my area for Lasgidi so many years ago. The short story be sey somebodi wey dey owe one fishseller money bin give d fishseller pikin d money to give im mama but the girl nor deliver d money to her mama. She just die d money. Even when argument com for d matta she still deny am sey nobody give am money to give to her mama and her mama stood by her, saying she trust her pikin. Sey if to sey dat woman truly give d pikin d money sey d pikin for deliver am to her. She com swell on top sey if to sey her debtor truly give her pikin d money, make she (fishseller) die. Na so d matta end there oh. Like play like play, few weeks later d fishseller died.

Can you please mention the name of the particular Altcoins that you claim to "surpasses" Bitcoin in unit price or market value. If we are making our submission it will appropriate to provide evidence that will backup our point so that one can easily verify as to whether it is truth or not and not just leave blank. This because newbies may not be well informed of what has happened in the past.
Oh, yeah? Did you say that I just made a mere claim and that it wasn't true? Come on, just do a bit of digging on issues before counter reacting to them. I'm sure you would've easily got the answer to that if you had googled that same item rather than rush here to make it look like it was a lie. Every information we seek is just a click away – that's, if only we can put in the work and do a little bit of googling. You may want to check historical data for YFI to check its ATH or cross-check its April to May 2021 data side by side with that of Bitcoin for the same months.
3612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play-to-Earn games on ETH: What's the catch? on: November 19, 2021, 05:17:56 PM
Anything that advertises easy cash and quick riches will always catch the eye of youngsters. How else do youngsters get clued to cryptocurrencies if not the hype in the quick ROI they promise. P2E is the rave of the moment and highlighting NTFs and Metaverse. It's a good one anyway, even when we take into consideration that one plays the game in relaxation to ease off stress and at the same time earn. However, I for one don't like any transaction that has to do with Ethereum because of the exorbitant fees in transactions. I won't be involved in any of such as it stands, to be honest.
3613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Football Fan tokens and gambling on: November 18, 2021, 01:56:50 PM
Recently i have seen many football fan tokens like AC Milan Fan Token (ACM) and Manchester City Fan Token (CITY). Also FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO) will list soon on binance.

Do these tokens have any use cases or they are just made to collect money from their fans ? Would they be used in gambling ?
There's also LAZIO. Come to think of it, most of these fan tokens are even launched on the Binance launchpad. It surely means they've certain usefulness for Binance to have agreed on a deal to list them, even though I don't seem to understand their usefulness beyond the ordinary. I see them as mere memetokens without any usefulness beyond their communities. I may be wrong on that, though. With the great ROI most of them have recorded, I'm certain more clubs will want to join in the frenzy. I watched that of Lazio closely. It was sold at $1 for one Lazio token at launch only for it to skyrocket to $26 within a few hours after it got listed. That's some crazy ROI.

BTW, PORTO is now also listed on Coingecko and currently trading around $5.
3614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face-to-face Bitcoin trading on: November 18, 2021, 08:43:25 AM
If privacy is important to you, Face2face trading is a bad idea.
But of course, privacy should be important to anyone who engages in cryptocurrencies (even in other financial transactions too). Decentralization and anonymity are the core parts of Bitcoin establishment. Anything that contravenes that should be frowned at. I, for one, won't even indulge in a so called face2face trading. What for? That's a bad idea and will expose the person of a hodler and endanger them. It's even enough exposure trading on telegram groups and on other social media sites with bank accounts known, let alone seeing the traders and meeting them in person. Whoever is indulging in that should think twice. It's a bad idea that will surely not end well.
3615  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alt in the Crosswise Finance Campaign on: November 18, 2021, 05:44:11 AM
1. Merit abuse with alt
But it's a different story if user A sends merits to user B in an application (POA) maybe can be categorized as abuse merits or maybe I am wrong in interpreting this and there may be many reasons for that. (please correct if I wrong)
I see this happen a lot even in BTC paying campaigns and I don't think it's anything close to a merit abuse, though I don't think I've done it (I don't think it's wrong either). I see it as users giving others a pat on the back to show they deserve applying in that campaign. I believe that serves a purpose of vouching, in a way. Imagine a well recognized and trusted member here doing that on an application post, it kind of subtly alerts manager of that bounty that the candidate is good to be accepted in that campaign/bounty. That's the way I see it, nothing more.
3616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Runaway beginner on: November 18, 2021, 05:08:25 AM
OP, you don't have to blame anyone; not even your mentor who introduced you to this forum for your lacklustre attitude. Be brave and place the blame on yourself. I can even feel the frustration on the part of your mentor for I've been in their shoe too. Personally, I've introduced not less than five persons to this forum. Some of them I had to pay the evil fees for to clear them but only one is active now on the forum. Do you know how it feels for someone to show you the light and you neglect it, only to turn back to blame them? A lot of people like to be spoon-fed, fish thrown at them when they can easily learn how to fish. I encourage you to develop that attitude of learning how to fish and not expect anyone to throw then at you. Going forward, make the internet your friend, allot a few hours daily to peruse this forum and you will grow from there. I'm placing merit on your post to encourage you. Hopefully, you won't run away again.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They will try to stop Bitcoin on: November 16, 2021, 03:48:08 PM
No, it isn't that "They will try to stop Bitcoin" according to your topic but that they already have been doing it. The exciting part though is that they won't be able to succeed at it.

A ban on mining alone would be bad, but not as bad as total ban on everything Bitcoin-related, like they did in China.
Even with the complete ban by the Chinese government, despite her population, Bitcoin is still thriving. At the end, China will be the sore loser in all that.
3618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: November 16, 2021, 12:26:48 PM
Bitcoin briefly slipped and touched support at $58,500 region today. I already spot a reversal on the 4hr TF. I think you may want to get in now before it rises more so you can be seen getting in at a better entry. The expectation is that Bitcoin will overtake its previous ATH before the end of 2021. But it's better to get in at a lower price to maximize ROI. It's now trading at $60,800 and that's still a great bargain to get in at that price.

Kindly look out for projects with low market cap and help yourself by doing some reading and research, they will worth you thousands in the future even if the market collapse.
Sadly, a lot of people think investing in alts is bad news and too much of a risk. But what you said there is apt and true.
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do with 20,000 Dogecoins? on: November 16, 2021, 08:54:29 AM
OP, if I were you, I would just leave my Dogecoin where it is. I believe there's still more fight in Doge to zoom past it's ATH and record a fresh one. Remember that it did $0.73 as ATH in May this year. If it does that again (I know it will once alts season sets in), your 20k units should be worth over $14,000 when that happens. Please, don't just move your coins around for the sake of moving it in the name of chasing ROI. If you can't swap it for Bitcoin, I suggest you don't do it for any other alts.
3620  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: November 16, 2021, 06:20:12 AM
At $70k, that will be a fantastic figure to hit even though there are projections for higher price level. I just did a mental calculation of what Satoshi's famed one million hodling amounts to; that puts it at $70billion. That's really huge and could easily put him on the top ten richest persons in the world. It's amazing for something that was worth peanuts a decade ago. Come to think of what Bitcoin was worth around this month in 2020, no one should complain if it doesn't cross that hypothetical $70k ATH. Bitcoin has really done so much for itself and the community. However, I'm convinced that it will blow past that level before the end of the year.
