i have a little idea we can grow smoke weed on moon

With the right genetics and a little help from Monsanto I'm sure we can get cannabis to grow in that environment. I wonder if there is a market for space weed?

Maybe an orbiting vehicle would work, 1 hour in sunlight 1 hour in dark, over and over.

An excerpt from the state of the union address-

"An economic miracle is taking place in the United States - and the only thing that can stop it are foolish wars, politics, or ridiculous partisan investigations. If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn't work that way!"

The blankpantha vibraniam shows how powerful the African continent can be if only it can look inward and develope their technology, but the African as we have today is a continent with confused leaders and blind followers who only celebrate wealth without asking for the source of such wealth.

Africa needs coal and natural gas power plants. Then establish industry by the power plant.

All of these socialists, while applauding, are saying to themselves "But this time, doing it MY WAY, things will be different."

I was going to give a few examples of how extremely successful some democratic socialist countries are.  Some examples of how all democracies have varying degree's of social programs beloved by their citizens (please don't go to a sporting event where tax payers paid for the fucking stadium you socialist piece of shit!).  But then I remembered Murica and you're right if you guys tried to implement anything even remotely logical you would fuck it up and likely would end up like Venezuela, just look how you turned democracy into kleptocracy all while having citizens armed to the teeth for a revolution but sat on your balls while the elite shoved a cactus up your asshole (WMD, 2008 banking crisis LMFAO)!

Every time someone tries to talk to me about "of course socialized medicine could work for America just look at Denmark..." I just explain we're NOT DENMARK.

US Troops are massed at Piedras Negras, facing down hapless Mexicans clinging to the fence a few feet away.

Is Trump going to invade Mexico on live TV tonight?

They are invading us. Build the damn wall

Eye. Man the ramparts.

We wouldn't need a physical border if it weren't for caravans. Promoting and funding these caravans has backfired terribly on the left.

3500 more troops to the border and I bet the Left is still going to say "there's no problem down there, move along..."

No, this kind of statement is nonsensical.

3607  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump condemns socialism in SOTU on: February 06, 2019, 10:53:52 PM
Tonight in Trump's State of the Union address, he condemned socialism and said "America will never be a socialist country". He also condemned the dictator currently in power (although not recognized as the legit president) who has used violence, killings, and frivolous criminal charges to stifle dissent in his country.

Socialists Bernie Sanders and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez looked very uncomfortable as this condemnation received bipartisan applause.

Socialism in Venezuela has changed what used to be one of the wealthiest countries in South America into one of the poorest.

Even Nancy Pelosi applauded when Trump issued this condemnation.

All of these socialists, while applauding, are saying to themselves "But this time, doing it MY WAY, things will be different."
3608  Other / Politics & Society / Re: INF treaty ends - should the US get rid of John Bolton on: February 06, 2019, 10:33:21 PM
The US has ended the intermediate range nuclear forces treaty. They allege that Russia is in breach of the treaty, but evidence may not bear this out. Reports seem to be of the opinion that John Bolton was the primary agitator for this, and it seems that he was also supporting the George Washington University trained unicorn who is attempting to seize Venezuela. The ending of the treaty will turn Europe into a nuclear war theatre, and the European warmongers - Merkel, Macron and others are supporting this initiative,

The net result will be the destabilisation of the balance of power in the world, and a massive waste of resources  which will be diverted into a new nuclear arms race. This will lead to the further enrichment of the elite who control the weapons manufacturing industries. It is clear that both the US and the EU are still vassal states of these puppet masters.

And this is related to getting rid of Bolton how?

That's nice, it looks like he loves his kids to me. See his daughter holding his hands, that's sweet. They stop being sweet around 15 and become little monsters. I sure do miss the younger years of my kids when daddy was everything.

Agreed. They become masters around 15 and then seem to wake up around 25.
3613  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump and the incest rituals on: February 05, 2019, 01:07:04 PM
Trump is definitely a weirdo but accusations like this one are useless. It makes anti-Trump people look angry and stupid.
The man is mocked by the entire world, no need for nonsense accusations.

Agree. Although this is as titillating as believing Obama is gay and Michele has a dick, this is some of the same that contributes to the divisive political climate we are all experiencing at the moment. There is no proof of this. With all the obvious flaws that Trump has, this undermines more realistic arguments against Trump. Although I will say perversion of the sort you have mentioned does happen with alarming frequency among the truly elite; money can insulate you from some amazing shit if you have enough of it.

A more convincing argument about Trump and pedophilia would have been mentioning his association with Jeff Epstein, a convicted pedophile know for having child fuck fests on his private island he named "Little Saint James". You seriously cant make this shit up. Google it.

“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” - Donald Trump

Bill Clinton hung around with this nasty fuck as well. Guilt by association, for the lot of them.
At least your example is based on reality and equally implicates both sides of the political spectrum. The poster's on the contrary is just yet another smear at the republicans, overlook all the flaws of the democrats.

3614  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elizabeth Warren Doesn't Understand Wealth Taxes on: February 05, 2019, 12:54:25 PM
If any wealth tax is imposed, that's basically the end of the US as a major economy. While Warren's proposal would only affect a tiny percentage of the population, it'd probably directly lead to economic and societal collapse, massively encouraging wasteful spending and discouraging savings, risk, and investment. It's also a slippery slope to ever-increasing wealth taxes.

It could be worse...

AOC's 70% progressive-income-tax proposal is very bad, but it's a lot better than any wealth tax. The economy could basically continue, though very fettered, under such a system.

It's often argued that we had 70% taxes in the 1920s and thereafter, so why not do it again?

The difference is that. back then there were a large variety of loopholes written into the tax law. The resulting average rates were around 22-24%. Nobody actually paid 70%.

Back then, we had a system that politicians could say fleeced the rich, while in reality they grew fat and rich on it.

Interesting. Thanks.

Lets hope they run out of methane before they get close to the oxygen in the atmosphere.

     Cool

Elon Musk was interviewed about this, and he said:

"You flow either fuel or water in between the sandwich layer, and then you have micro-perforations on the outside—very tiny perforations—and you essentially bleed water, or you could bleed fuel, through the micro-perforations on the outside."

So what are they up to?

It's an old, old idea. I'm not buying it being better or even workable. This is kind of like solving a non-problem. We know all kinds of really good and reliable ways to do a re-entry.

So you don't have a problem with the concept of children not being humans until a year of age?
Right, because that's exactly what I said. Roll Eyes
At least for those of us in the USA, we should be knowledgable about the history of eugenics and the progressive trends including abortion. Those ideas were generated here, and carried over to Germany from here.

Calling them "Nazi ideas' and "thread degenerating into accusations of Nazi..." isn't really historically accurate.
3617  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evil MAGA hat kids from Covington School VS Native American on: February 04, 2019, 12:24:05 PM
Orwell was right. You are the enemy because you have actively made yourself the enemy, seeking people to victimize while you justify it with endless relativism, equivocation, and Postmodernist "logic".

You clearly never read Orwell.

His books don't talk about left and right but about control of the powerful over the people through manipulation and language transformation.

There is no political stance in Orwell's work concerning economical regulation, market or anything like this. It's only about institution, language and freedom.

That's not exactly right. The minute regulation of everyday life which Orwell wrote about existed in Fascist Germany, more recent in Iraq, but not in Spain, Italy or South American countries. However, dozens of communist nations have exhibited this kind of control and for explicitly the reasons Orwell warned.

It's fair to say that totalitarian policies do best in totalitarian countries, which would of course be "left." Where the government owns the sources of information and promulgates what it wants to the people.

Moreover, I find it alarming that Coinsforcommies doesn't even know of the hundreds of threats against the Covington kids. That immediately shows that his news sources suppressed that, thus creating a very different reality which he fell for.
3618  Other / Politics & Society / Re: So, let's talk about that new abortion law... on: February 04, 2019, 02:42:06 AM
Morning gents 😊  Was curious to the opinions on the board. Personally, I dont see that a whole lot has changed; this is pretty much Roe v Wade. The "termination up to birth" consideration is a rare case; a very low percentage of abortions go on past five months, let alone nine. And typically in the event of medical necessity. It's a no brainer in those cases, hell yes abort the child if it will not be viable. To not do so is medically irresponsible.

The practice is legally contentious in the first place; most doctors wont touch abortions of this type for the legal liability it creates. So as I see it, this essentially decriminalized abortion in these cases; this is the most profound change by far. Potentially life saving procedures should not have the threat of legal force behind them; this ties the hands of caregivers to provide the most informed situational solutions for the health of a patient.

And empirically, we have seen that restricting early term abortion seems to actually increase the rate at which late term abortions occur. Seriously.

Is the poor reaction to this just a product of the politics we live with now, or am I missing something?

And full disclosure, I'm for both. Yep, pro choice and pro life. You see, I'm a Christian. The Bible isn't clear enough on this, but in my heart I feel that every consideration to give the child to someone else should be attempted before abortion is an option. I just feel that is what Jesus would do. Our love for human life, and desire for it to be happy and optimal for all, I would logically assume means protecting the defenseless and preserving life.

On the other hand, I support a woman's choice to decide if she wants to carry a baby to term. While I may frown on it, it is not for me to decide as God has given us free will. Many impacted by this law are not Christian; given that there is a clear separation of Church and State, religious and moral considerations based off of Christianity dont really come into play here. This is not a power the State should have, the right to control one's own health outcomes. While I may frown on the act, my frown doesn't mean too much in the grand scheme.

Thoughts?

There are a number of times I have had conversations on this subject with friends who were fundamentalist Christian, and they felt very deeply about it. Almost to the point of being able to call them single issue voters.

I don't find myself getting emotionally aroused much about this subject. I am willing to ascribe that to basic personality flaws, rather than any grand ethics and morality.

@Spendulus, I thought so myself (the majority of border crossings were out in the desert, next to a random cactus), until I took a look at the actual DHS brief from 2017, via a Washington post article. I trust very little people tell me, so I read the brief myself. To save you some time, start at page 15 if you read it (it's a snoozefest)
The Wapo article is right. More people actually cross "legally" than illegally.
I will say, clearly they dont know who they dont catch, but among those they do have records for, far more come through a point of entry than those that say fuck it and sneak in.

Let me cite the Wapo article and the brief:
https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/17_0914_estimates-of-border-security.pdf

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/wonk/wp/2018/06/25/most-immigrants-who-enter-the-country-do-so-legally-federal-data-show/

Quote

Good data, but I don't need it. These people just come in one way or another and then stay. I've never seen someone "applying for asylum" at a crossing. I'm sure it happens, but it is not typical.

My opinion only, but I think the main reason crossings exist outside of the big towns, through the desert, is what's in it for the coyotes. If a coyote lead a dozen to say the Juarez crossing, he going to be nabbed because our guys are likely looking for him. If he leads them through the desert, he can load them up with drugs and make them mules, maybe rape a couple of them on the way.

By the way, the Border Patrol are pretty good at all this. They look at these people and have a feel for which are from Central America, vs Mexico. I'd definitely trust them to spot the troublemakers.

I feel like the democrats buried this in the past to protect his career.

Theres a near 100% chance that photo was seen by everyone in that yearbook.  Who is the other person in the racist photo? Who was the editor? Who was the faculty member who oversaw the publishing of that book?  Who else was in the yearbook, knew about the photo and never exposed it?

We need to find all of these people and out them on the internet.  It is very important that POC know if their healthcare providers are 35 year KKK sympathizers.
