My personal take with Davis and Garcia's childish scene. They are trying to engage their fans and let them ask for the fight to happen. I mean, they can provoke promoters to bring the contract on both sides. My opinion though. Moving back to this upcoming fight, trash talks might be used to attract possible viewers aside from those fans who surely will buy the ticket.

That might be the case why Garcia and Davis have been so foolish and exchanging some words in social media, they are trying to make some hype but people know that the current Ryan Garcia cannot defeat the current Gervonta Davis. It might be best for Garcia to facilitate Shakur first in the latter's debut in lightweight because his recent opponents aren't that strong enough to consider that he is indeed ready to fight Gervonta Davis.

I do agree, both of this boxers should be mature enough and not to go to social media and be that tell it all attitude. But who can blame Garcia, I do remember someone mentioned him as social media champ.

And now that we have a new boxer in the horizon, which is Shakur so definitely this will be fun for the next coming years. The hype is already there, it's the promoters and their network that can be the stumbling block.

Again, it boils down to business, Ryan has a lot of followers, casual fans and even not a fan of boxing, and same with Davis. So it make sense for him to be quite a story teller and make it as big as he can, again, hype and to make money if in the future, they are going to face each other. Yes, promoters and network might pose a problem, but if they know that they are going to make huge profits then they will step aside all their differences.

If Shakur joins the fun, then so be it, but so far he is not bad mouthing anyone, except calling Tank Davis and looking forward to fight Haney and Loma.

I don't want to be the bearer of this news, but I just saw this article from Ring,

Quote
Colombian boxer Luis Quinones died Friday, five days after was knocked out in the eighth and final round of a bout in Barranquilla.

The junior welterweight boxer was 25 years old.

https://www.ringtv.com/644774-colombian-boxer-luis-quinones-dies-after-five-days-in-coma/

Sad to hear this kind of news specially for boxing fans. He is still young and who knows maybe he can become a champion in the future.

And it just show how brutal this sports is and every time this boxer fights, their lives is on the line For sure the one that knock him out Jose Munoz will be affected for the rest of his life and I have a feeling that he might quit boxing for good because of this unfortunate incident.

Unfortunately, this kind of accident really happen in boxing and yes, they know the risk involved when they go inside the ring and punch each other out that they can either be killed in the ring.

I do agree that it's brutal in a sense, just like any contact sports. As for Floyd, for sure he didn't see that this kind of exhibitions will be a big hit, and so he is capitalizing on it while sports fans are willing to pay the price. Nevertheless, he has build enormous wealth already so even if he retires, he will still live comfortably and thanks to his talent.

Actually we are being taught that saving and investing are good and we should start as young as we can. The problem is that majority of us didn't take this seriously when our schools or parents start to teach us about investing.

But in any case, it's not late though, specially with bitcoin investment. The return is huge but you need to have patience and the timing when to invest and when to take profit, just saying.
3605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Terra still pumping !?! on: September 30, 2022, 11:19:56 PM
Clearly someone is manipulating the price from behind in this last couple of weeks. Someone big, or then pump and dump groups pushing it to the limit and trying to put their 'stable coin' on the map again.

But obviously, all the Terra coins that you have mentioned wouldn't sustain its run. Again, sooner or later we will see a huge dump taking their profits in short term. And as others have mentioned already, if there is a pump then it might have subsided already. And with that, it's dangerous to invest with Terra right now, Do-Kwon lost his reputation already and so all his projects with his name on it.
3606  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of new SCAM on google play! SoBit: Bitcoin wallet on: September 30, 2022, 10:45:59 PM
just lost btc through a scam wallet on google play market. if you type in 'bitcoin wallet'. you'll see SoBit: Bitcoin Wallet. it has 5 star rating & it would be first or second on the list. beware. once you send funds to it, it sends out btc somewhere else after confirmation. i couldnt believe it at first but then after going through 1 star reviews i realised i wasnt the only one. makes me wonder how can google allow this scam to be on top?

I'm not sure if this is the wallet that you are referencing:

Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.btcw.bitcoinwallet

Unfortunately, Google doesn't moderate it, so the best thing to do is to report it to them so that they can take it down. Perhaps another expensive lessons to check everything first or just used wallet that we have been trusting already like Electrum.

3607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 30, 2022, 10:21:41 PM

WBC and WBO super bantamweight Champion Stephen Fulton has shown interest in fighting the Bantamweight King Naoya Inoue if possible or if the latter moved up to 122lb. But if that didn't happen, Fulton can fight Murodjon Akhmadaliev instead to unify the Super Bantamweight title.

Just as I thought that the Champions in that division are waiting for Naoya Inoue. I think Inoue can crash these guys at the Super Bantamweight but of course, he just needs to fully prepare for that and don't rush everything.

The way I looked at Inoue, he is overqualified already to compete in the Super Bantamweight. Who's with me or against my idea? Smiley

Yes, remember that he won the WBSS ( World Boxing Super Series) already, defeating Nonito Donaire. And then he repeat it again with a 2 round destruction of the flash. So there's no one in the division that can really match Inoue.

And that is why he is thinking of moving to the next division, however, we will have to wait as he wanted to unify first.

As for Fulton, yes, both have intent to fight at super bantam. Akhmadaliev is also another name in that division. So if ever Inoue will move up, he will be fighting this guys and it will be a big challenge for the Monster if he can keep up with going up in weight and getting the belts and how far can he go.

We just really don't know what extend a addict can do just to continue with their gambling. And so I'm not surprised by this story, I have heard this many times from drug addicts. And so they are the same as far as their mentality goes, their judges is really clouded and they doesn't care if they include the lives of a child. Hopefully the women will be jailed for this for child abandonment. And for the child, this is a trauma that he might have to carry for the rest of his life.

3609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 30, 2022, 09:41:44 PM
Yeah, there's nothing yet. Even the fight will be happening more than a week from now. It will be available before the fight or during the fight day. I will personally take Ancajas whatever the bookies will give him. I am still confident with his surviving skills, he just need to throw more solid converted punches and not to let Martinez dominate once again.

Odds will be there three or two days before the fight, usual for fights between not-so-popular boxers and they are fighting for the 115lbs division which is not so popular to most of American fight fans (just my observation).

This is getting exciting and personally, I would be betting for Ancajas to win by decision as he will be fighting smart in this rematch. Like i said before that he should forget that Martinez once has his numbers and just focused on their game plan and bring glory to the Philippines once again. Overtraining and weight issues are things in the past so I hope there will be no alibis this time around.

Still a week to go before the fight, and we as boxing fans are really excited that finally we are almost here. Yes, we can wait for the odds to come, for sure they will, bookies are smart and will definitely add this to their list. We just have to be patience just like the rest of the fights wherein odds are release like 1-2 days before the fight itself.

If Ancajas lost, then there should be no excuses on his camp. This is already the rematch and should have made the adjustments regarding the weight and overtraining issues.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. already buried the chances that he might face Manny Pacquiao again even if it will be in massive demand by the community.

He mentioned that he already had a hard fight in his life and all he will do now is purely for entertainment and fun.

It does mean that even in the exhibition matches, we will no longer see "The Money" fighting a real boxer within his league which does make sense after all. Those who will be annoyed at his exhibition match should just accept that Floyd is just making big money even in retirement.

For real? That is really unfortunate because I was surely hoping that we could see them sharing a ring once more and this the first time I've heard that Floyd Mayweather is turning down a fight that will give him good amount of money worth millions. Now, I'm starting to wonder if that includes McGregor because there's a rumor that there might be a Mayweather-McGregor 2.

We will see, I never thought that Floyd will fight Conor but it happen, so anything is open up to this fight. They have been seen both in Japan and Floyd even travel to Pacquiao's Philippines. So something might be brewing between the two. But in any case, the ball is always on the court of Floyd. But sure Manny is more willing to face him in exhibition fight. As the saying goes, it takes two to tango, so if Floyd is not willing, then we can't do anythin about it. The only thing that we can hold is that if there is demand and the money in the table is huge, maybe this could be Floyd's last fight.
3611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 30, 2022, 09:03:00 PM
Blake Griffin just signed a one year deal with the Celtics. Seems like the Celtics are the team for veterans to try and win a chip with now. I’m not so sure they’re the team to beat in the east. I think the 76ers, Bucks, & Nets all have better teams, but with Nash being strict on the old guys maybe the Celtics are the only place willing to take the old ring chasers. Hope Blake has a good season. Last year was a bit embarrassing.

At least we will see another season for Blake, but I'm not expecting him to play many minutes with the C's. Probably just like the veteran that he is, Blake could be a good mentor for the young team.

Well they have proven themselves last year, beating all the those teams in the East. It's that they will have a interim coach so that could be a factor, also the noise about their former coach might have an impact to some of the players. But we will see, maybe from time to time Griffin could have some games that he will excel, not seeing the former high flying and poster dunks from him, but at least solid contribution and his shooting from 3's have improved when he lost his athleticism. It might come in handy in close games.

Well if you wanted to test it out then why not try to withdraw and see how it goes? If not they you are rich as f**k, hehehe. For sure though you know how much NGC you have in your wallet and that is the most important thing. Not the trillions of amount you have because you know that it's fake.
3613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be Palestine's currency of freedom?? on: September 30, 2022, 10:24:07 AM
I don't think we need to compare it to El Salvador and other countries that have embrace bitcoin and crypto as a whole. It really depends on how the country is going to used it, and if they it can be their currency of freedom then so be it. And it will really take years before some nation will adopt it as legal tender or alternative to their local currencies, and so it will be a big challenge and there are going to be obstacles along the way for Palestine, not be easy and so only in the future that we will know if they adapt this idea of bitcoin being 'currency of freedom' or not.

Speaking of Ryan Garcia, and since you mentioned Tank, he detailed a club confrontation with Tank Davis:

Quote
“I actually did see Tank in the club,” Garcia recounted. “He definitely … he’s definitely … he’s a tough guy. He was very low-key, in his hoodie. I went up to his table … and we said, ‘Yo, are we gonna make this fight happen?’ And I guess he got all offended by that. Got all worked up and I was like, ‘Yo, what you on about, man? Ain’t no respect here? He responds with, ‘Nah, there ain’t no respect here.’ So [I said], ‘Oh, it’s like that. OK, it’s like that.’ Then he grabbed my chain, but I wasn’t worried about [it]. There were so many security guards there. I knew he wasn’t going to take my chain or do anything, really. He just wanted to seem tough.

“So I said, wow, ‘It’s like that, huh?’ And then he responded again, ‘Yeah, it’s like that.’ Then he had to let go and I said, ‘You know what’ — I said something to him. He knows what I said. Not gonna repeat it on Live, but just know, the fight, that’s where it really happens. Outside the ring you can act tough all you want. Inside the ring it all changes.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-describes-altercation-with-tank-club-says-he-just-wanted-seem-tough--169381

Just another funny story between this two, hopefully we can really see them in the ring together. Specially Ryan, he is doing a good job building this up.

I'm waiting for this fight press conference, wanted to see what Kambosos will say to Haney after he was defeated in a dominant fashion. Or this time Haney will dictate the trash talking, hehehe.

I wish they just traded bombs in the club. Who cares if they get cuts and black-eyes and get arrested. Both are cherry pickers. Tank was a legit world champion at super-featherweight but it's been years now and he never fought a real belt at lightweight and super-lightweight. Kingry is still young but he should've been fighting the other top names and champions. I still don't get why casual fans love Kingry and Tank. It's also not a coincidence that those 2 pricks are the only big names that are fighting outside of ESPN and Top Rank except for Kambosos who is about to lose again to Haney.

Nah, I don't think this two are going to fight in a club, they are intelligent not to messed up in public. And probably Garcia added some spices on the story hehehe, you know to put him and Davis again in the limelight and keeping the hype alive. Both have bodyguards so I guess the minute someone will land his hand against each other, there could be fight between two groups but it didn't happen. So most likely this story is 50/50. It's up to us whether we believed Ryan Garcia's story or not. Or maybe we will hear the side of Davis later, who knows. Grin
3615  Economy / Economics / Re: "Be your own Bank with Bitcoin" - A reminder why this is so important! on: September 30, 2022, 09:18:31 AM
It is true that Bitcoin or crypto currency has saved us from being controlled by banks.  Moreover, in the era of technology, there is no respite without crypto currency. But you have to keep in mind that there are risks like Bitcoin's highly volatilities is a big reason, but there are ways to use stable coins for this, moreover you can make stable coins usdt or busd savings at 8% APR on Binance Exchange.
I think it is undeniable that there is a big risk involved for anyone thinking on investing in bitcoin for the short term, however I think the risk is worth taking, after all what other options do we have available? Remaining in fiat is not an option due to the high inflation, the stock market and the real estate market are overvalued as well, gold has not performed well either, so it is not like we have a lot of options in which we can invest our money and get good profits during the next years.

And that is the main reason why we wanted to invest on bitcoin, the big risk involved For some maybe they can't stomach it especially when we are in bear market. But everything chances when we goes on bull run. Of course the old adage of be your own bank is with bitcoin since the beginning. And it's up to us how to make it and used it to our advantage. Keep your private key, do not let everyone know. As long as you have security hygiene and good practice, then continue to accumulate and buy bitcoin in your wallet.
3616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 30, 2022, 09:00:11 AM
I miss the days when there were also world title fights in the undercards. Legendary Manny Pacquiao for instance used to defend his title while on the undercards like during the Lewis-Tyson fight. Glorious days for boxing. Now it's all about playing safe and money.

True, those were the days that you can literally just wait and watch before the actual main card, because the undercard is pretty much stack up with names and champion belt also on the line and they are all name fighters in the undercard.

But now there are only one the main card that we would only watch till it's on. Now promoters are playing safe and making two fights instead of one to make the most money out of their champions.
3617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 30, 2022, 08:44:16 AM
We will see that in his next coming games, either he only got a good game or just because the opponent didn't know him that's why the preparations is not their for him, it's a first game though and for sure other teams are now scouting him and trying to read his skills and capabilities, it will be a challenge to him on how to adjust in case a much tougher player will guard him, though with his height it pretty sure that most of the time he will be against his fellow import.

I'm no longer a fan of Magnolia after the big three breaks up. I used to be one back when  James, PJ and Ping were still solidly playing together, Tim Cone's 2nd grand slam.

Just like the Bay Area Dragons, they were very impressive in their first game but were exposed by Northport on their second. At this point of the conference, each game matters but scouting the best player of each team is important too. It is only 12 games so there is very little window where each team can scout the other teams performance. I am sure each team is watching him so when they face them in elimination or playoffs, they will be ready to deploy a counter to him.

Yes, that's one disadvantage if the conference is too short and then you have to be consistent too otherwise, you might end up in the cellar and will have to win all their remaining games.

For sure, everyone is scouting everyone and looking for their weaknesses as a player and then exploit them as a team. And so we will see which team will remain on top of the standing.
3618  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: September 30, 2022, 08:13:16 AM

Kaya exit sila last 1st round ng playoff last season.

So sa ngayon, walang balita parin,  kung maiwan sya sa Jazz, good parin this season.

Pero kung i trade sya sa kahit anong team eh panalo rin naman si kabayan natin.
3619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: September 29, 2022, 10:52:29 PM
And Fury may just want to keep this fight alive,

Quote
“We offered them the December 17 date in Saudi Arabia for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world and everybody wanted that date. Usyk said he was injured and isn’t ready until next year," Fury said.

“And now he’s saying I’m scared of him. The little sh!thouse middleweight. I’ll put my fist right through his face.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-usyk-said-he-ready-now-he-says-im-scared-hes-sh-thouse--169300

He call Usyk middleweight, lol, in any case, Fury is looking for either a Joshua or Usyk fight this December. He had a schedule already in December, but it seems he doesn't have a dance partner. When we thought that the Joshua fight is lock-in, there are still things need to be settled. And so he calls Usyk again, I don't think he is injured or what, he just want to take a break after winning against Joshua.

I think Usyk is evading Fury.  It is not that he wanted a break, I believe Usyk wanted to prolong his stay in the spotlight because there is a huge possibility that the spotlight would be taken away from him the moment he decided to fight Fury.  In short, probably Usyk camp isn't confident about winning against Fury.  Grin  It is just my thought though and shouldn't be considered as fact.

The statement of Usyk is probably adding fuel to the excitement and controversy making their possible upcoming fight caters more attention.  And I think that is a very entertaining move to fire up their fans and the boxing audience, making them the possible talk of the social media platform.

So I understand that the unification title fight between Fury and Usyk may be possibly bound next year after Fury beats Joshua in their match this coming Dec.  What made me think that?  The exchange of words between the two champions is obvious.  And I considered that as great marketing ploy to catch the audience and boxing fans' attention.  Though I may be wrong but it is good if that happens Grin.

Yes this thread is way too early but when I created it there was a real possibility it would go ahead sooner. The only way the fight can go ahead now is if Fury remains unbeaten in his next fight which would then allow him to try to set up a unification bout against Usyk. I think Wilder and even Parker are waiting in the wings in teh hope they can get another opportunity to fight for a title.

And what do you think if the fight is going to be made in Ukraine? That will be huge.

But Usyk might have to fight Wilder first though, I have a feeling that he might chase Wilder and then let Fury and Joshua fight first. And if my chance Fury won and he beat Wilder (also Deontay needs to win too against Helenius). And then Wilder vs Usyk happens 2023 and perhaps if Fury is still interested with unification with Usyk then they can go at it 2024.

.....

Any news on Jordan Clarkson though? I thought he is on the trading block after the Jazzz let go of Mitchell and they are rebuilding from ground up.
I only read about the interest from the Bucks and the potential return to the Lakers but I really have no idea to be honest. Maybe the Jazz will just offer him an extension so they could still have someone that will help them to compete and not plunge to the bottom of the table.

On the contrary, I think the Jordan Clarkson will get traded the soonest and I was hoping that he will go the Lakers again and play with Bron. But I do agree that it seems the Lakers are pretty much stack up with Westbrook still at the help.

Haven't heard any news about the contract extension as well so we will see how the Jazz is going rebuilding with him or is just waiting for a perfect opportunity before Clarkson gets traded.
