^  Seeing the whole card in one post, this event isn’t as bad as I first thought.  There’s a couple of interesting match ups in there and a couple of underdog leans at first glance...  Davis and Jordan Wright.

As for the match ups, Bargerel vs Davis and Sanchez vs Silva could be interesting.  So is Landwehr vs Klein..  That’s a classic grappler vs striker match up.  You guys will def like it.  Arlovski vs Felipe could be good too.

Early leans which could become bets are Davis, Silva, Wright and Felipe.
3622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 12, 2021, 03:05:20 PM
I fell in love with poker when the whole Texas Hold'em craze started around 2003-4ish range.  I was in college at the time and man we played every single night for months on end.  Bought a chip set as well which I still have.  Unfortunately I haven't been playing as much as I'd like to lately, but plan to start getting in to playing more soon.  I'm just curious what kind of strategies you guys employ when playing?  I know there aren't a ton of tricks one can use, but there are some out there.  I guess there's also a big difference when you're playing in person ( bluffing strategies ) vs playing online.  I'd like to hear tips/tricks/strategies for both!

Playing poker has become a lot more different from 10 - 20 years ago to now.  Esp online poker.  Don’t expect to make easy money like you used to online if you played regularly during 2003 - 2004.  Players today mostly have a good grasp in PF ranges and play more balanced than they did then.  Live still mostly play loose and exploitable I guess...  At the lower stakes at least.  So you could still get away with playing solid TAG.

Ah..  So that’s why I’ve been seeing some Mbappe and Kane to Newcastle United talks in the football transfer prediction thread.  Someone finally got the club away from the clutches of Mike Ashley.  Lol.

As for Mbappe and Kane to Newcastle, we’ll see.  I don’t think those two would want to be involved in a fallen club’s rebuilding process.  Those guys want to win silverware.
...
They have not just got rid of Mike Ashley they have sold to a nation Saudi Arabia which has a very bad background. They were found guilty by the CIA of killing a journalist chopping him up and dissolving him in a sink....

It is not just that they have this tendency to kill anything that bothers them (I hope they do not start killing football players if they do not perform  Grin) it is more about the status that Europeans have in the Gulf countries, which is basically the same rank as an slave. Quite endogamic societies "pure arab" mentality. It is not even a question of money is a question of principles not to work for them.

I don’t see how that’s relevant in the world of football.  It’s just some journalists trying to make something out of nothing to get you to read what they write.  Parasites need to eat too.  Cheesy

Anyway...  A couple of games I’m interested in are Leicester City vs Man United and Brentford vs Chelski but I’m not sure how to approach it from a betting perspective.  Any suggestions?
3624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 12, 2021, 02:51:04 PM
Ok since there’s an increasing number of people in the gambling section who rally watches F1 and bets on F1 instead of posting in here just for their sigs, let’s hear all your thoughts from a betting perspective.  I mean..  That’s what we’re all in here for right?  Wink  Or are we just bs’ing ourselves?
3625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 11, 2021, 02:31:41 PM
So, a nice altcoin slaughtering bull in Bitcoin.

And I am starting to get used to the pattern where we see 5%-20% drops in the major alts during these but little monero finds a floor basically.

I expect it to likely drop more against Bitcoin if this trend continues, but there is a constant demand for monero, and it has actually become a unit of account arguably as much or more than Bitcoin.  I would say more for sure, but El Salvador is making that false.  Still Monero has carved out a are in which it is being used to price many goods...  And I think that dampens the pullback on days like this...

Oh, and screw Doge, lol... seriously.  Still a clown world, mostly.

Whatever you guys do, don’t check the price of XMR denominated in BTC.  Cheesy

Anyway...  What ever happened to Fluffy’s new side chain project he founded with a couple of other guys?  Tari?  With how fast everything moves in crypto, they could be too late by the time they release.
3626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 11, 2021, 02:16:33 PM
I think PSG knows about the loss and they are knowingly taking the risk and hoping that Mbappe changes his decision and signs the contract extension and that is why they did not accepted those bids for a player who is on the edge of his contract.
I think Mbappe's move out of the club is inevitable, if not to Real Madrid, definitely another club. But after watching today's Nation League final match (France vs Spain), and seeing the chemistry in play between Mbappe and Benzema, I'm convinced that if Mbappe pulls through for Real Madrid and moves to the club, it will be massive for the club his combination with his fellow countryman Benzema and also for his self development.

Bezema is almost 34. Should Mbappe move to Real Madrid next season, Benzema would be almost 35. This will not be a dream team for a long time Smiley Besides, Mbappe would change Real's game, should his strengths be used perfectly. This would also mean the end of Kroos and Modric, who also have a certain age.

Yup.  Real needs an overhaul of their squad imho.  It was a miracle how Zidane had them perform at peak level considering the age and the decline of those players...  Especially at the CL.  But the problem is, do they have the finances to bankroll a Mbappe and Haaland double acquisition?

Edit:  Lucien Favre is now the favorite to take over as Newcastle United Manager...  He any good?

If you guys think last weekend’s card was full of unknowns and low level fighters then the next event is gonna be a rough one.  Lol.  Cheesy

Marina Rodriguez made a deserved win and she is calling out for Joanna Jedrzejczyk for her inactivity, and she is hoping to get next title fight.
You can check out and watch all UFC Vegas 39 post-fight Press Conference:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw1S3udh3IE

It appears that Marina Rodriguez was challenging the Boogeywoman since her split decision victory versus Michelle Waterson. However, would Joanna accept this fight? I reckon Joanna would not risk her name to fight a fighter who is there to build on her name and reputation hehehe.

At UFC Vegas 26, Marina Rodriguez was able to defeat the #9-ranked Michelle Waterson via unanimous decision in a hard-fought battle. Now that Rodriguez has won the first main event of her UFC career, she is looking to challenge the woman who has had her hand raised in more strawweight main events than anyone, that, of course being the one and only Joanna Jędrzejczyk.

Rodriguez should be careful what she wishes for.  JJ is an elite Muay Thai martial artist with lots of experience in the octagon.  It’s a huge jump between Dern to JJ.  Intruiging match up tho.

^  Did you really watch it?  The race was obv far from ‘amazing’.  Lol.  It was really boring except for the Leclerc vs Perez race battle.  But other than that, it was all so so..
3629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 10, 2021, 02:28:06 PM
When it comes to Haaland's next club, it might be Real Madrid. Because I have heard that Real Madrid are planning to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland both at the same time. As they won't be playing any transfer fee for Mbappe, they are going to be able to buy Haaland also financially. But it shouldn't be against the financial rules of the league too. If Real Madrid don't sign him, maybe we can see him in the English Premier League too.

That would depend how much the club’s revenues are and if it justifies having both those players in their payroll without threatening the club’s long term financial survival.  The best club at the top level to do it in modern football is Bayern Munich imo.

And ffs...  The current favorite to be next Newcastle United manager is the fraud Roberto Martinez.  Lawl.

Why didn’t I just bet the obvious and kept it simple instead of making it complicated.  Lol.  Hamilton fastest lap was 2.75, Bottas was prolly 4.50 - 5.50 or something.  Bottas had pole position, has potentially the clean air in front him for most of the race, has the fastest engine and that in itself should be hints that his betting lines are value.  And he’s been pretty consistent this season...

^  Dern should be diving for single legs like what most wrestlers do.  Esperza did it with great success and eeked out a split decision vs Rodriguez.  But man, Dern is elite on the ground.  If she goes for TD’s instead of body locks, trips and hip throws, she’d be almost a complete fighter.

My other two bets lost but I’m still happy.  Both were really close...  It showed that the lines were way off in those two matches.
3632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 09, 2021, 05:55:12 PM
^  If they’re putting on more weight, I think it means they’re going for more power, not speed.  And it also means they could start knocking each other’s head off from the get go.  And an added benefit of more weight, less weight cut is a more solid chin...  And they both already felt each other’s power.  Lol.  They’ll need the added weight.  Cheesy

Antonio Conte has been one of the candidates to be Newcastle's new manager. But it seems like he will be rejecting the offer. There are still candidates like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard. These managers both are legends of the Premier League. Newcastle would really like to sign one of them in this case. Lampard couldn't do well when he was Chelsea's manager but this time maybe he can fit Newcastle, who knows.

Here are the odds for Newcastle United next manager after the oiler take over:  https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/newcastle/next-permanent-manager

From those names I like the favorite, Conte.  Eddie Howe, but I don’t think they’ll go for a young manager still trying to make a name for himself.  They’ll want an established manager with the experience and the clout.  Graham Potter is also ok but no name like Howe.  I really like Zidane and I hope that happens if not Conte.  And Roberto Mancini, he built Man City into a power house after an oiler take over of its own.  I can’t see why he couldn’t do the same at NUFC.
3634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 09, 2021, 05:38:55 PM
I don’t really watch boxing much anymore except for the biggest matches but I feel like there’s so much value in the under 7.5 rounds lined close to a pickem.  And I saw the weigh ins...  Both fighters weighed heavier than their past matches vs each other.  This could be a banger imo and somebody could get KO’d early.  But then again, a lesser weight cut means the chin is more solid.
3635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 09, 2021, 03:38:53 PM
Here are the quali’s results.  Take note that Hamilton will go back down 10 places for a penalty given due to a change of internal combustion engine.  From a betting perspective this is good.  Head to head prop for Hamilton to win vs Bottas is 2.07.  I think Hamilton wins even with the penalty.  Fastest lap for Hamilton at 2.75 is also good imho.  He’ll be going for it real hard to move up the grid as fast as possible.

...  Hamilton to win the race at 4.30 is veeery tempting cos we know he could do it.  He’s that good!  Cheesy

Kylian Mbappe will be a free agent indeed. This will be a big chance for Newcastle to make an offer to him also. But like I said, Newcastle will have much less chance than Real Madrid to sign him. Real Madrid are his dream team and he wouldn't want to go to any other club rather than them. Some sources claim that PSG will manage to sign a contract extension with him but I don't think that he will accept the offer as he wants to join Real Madrid at the first opportunity.

Newcastle United officially confirmed about the take over

Mbappe is just one potential player that can be acquired by Newcastle after the takeover. Now they are in position to acquire many more player's like that. Real Madrid is dream team of every player not only for Mbappe.
We are expecting more action in English Premier League.

Ah..  So that’s why I’ve been seeing some Mbappe and Kane to Newcastle United talks in the football transfer prediction thread.  Someone finally got the club away from the clutches of Mike Ashley.  Lol.

^  ^  Football journos are probably eating only ramen right now and are in dire need of money rrally badly if they start coming up with dumb transfer rumors like that.  Lol.  Mbappe or Kane to Newcastle?  Jfc..  then I’m getting a BJ from Scarlett Johansson.  Cheesy

“Within reach” is like .01%.  I’m sorry but Newcastle United is trash these days.

^  Esparza is a way better wrestler than Dern.  Yes Dern is a grappler but she’s mostly BJJ.  Dern has to take Rodriguez first before she can do her thing...  Which I admit, if Dern does take Rodriguez down, it’s over.  But if she doesn’t, watch Rodriguez tee off on Dern’s face.  And I think the latter is more likely.

My bets thus far are Rodriguez, Elliott and Corales.  All dogs, follow at your own risk.  I’m more a degenerate than a sharp.

And last call for jeremypwr’s Multi Master.

Here’s a little piece of advice for everybody:  Real friends don’t let friends gamble in crypto.

Never in a million years would I recommend a friend to put money in these ponzis, BTC included.  I’d tell them I have some of this coin or that coin but that’s it.  I’d start helping them to avoid scams if they managed to upload some money to an exchange.  Like Shib...  I’d share that I traded it but would I tell a friend that it’s a good coin to buy?  Hell no!
