Newcastle takeover: All parties hopeful Saudi-led consortium's deal can be announced on Thursday.

It's officially confirmed that Saudi led consortium's is taking over Newcastle United. Basically crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman is the new main owner after previous owner failed to steer the team to victory. He is way more wealthy as compared to Sheikh Mansour Bin Al-Nahyan’s, can he replicate the success of Manchester City in 10 years’ time?

I have heard about this news. Newcastle are like they are reborn now. It is said that it is a £305m deal for Newcastle. It must be great news for Newcastle fans as they will most probably start witnessing their team signing world-star players in the coming transfer window. People are making memes about Mbappe to Newcastle.  Cheesy  But I think that there is no way that Mbappe will choose to go there even if Newcastle offer more money than Real Madrid. In the next season, we can see a Newcastle which are fighting for top places in the Premier League if they don't relegate this season.

I see them getting a good team next season, maybe getting Halaand and Mbappe as major signings, then maybe Navas as a goalie

Newcastle has officially announced the purchase of the club by the Public Investment Fund yesterday, the club transition to a new owner is certainly very encouraging for the management and also the current newcastle fans, in recent years mewcastle fans have continued to reject the old owner who was not able to manage the club properly and make newcastle in a slump all this time, in my opinion with the acquisition of the newcastle by the sultan of saudi arabia, of course, has the potential to make newcastle a big team in the english premier league in the next few seasons as Sheikh Mansour has done in manchester city.

Brentford and Brighton are the teams that I follow closely this season. Brighton are making everyone surprised by their decent performance and being at top places. I really wonder what has changed about this team now. The players started to believe in themselves much more seemingly. They were so close to defeating Arsenal too the last time  but they couldn't benefit from their goal chances. When it comes to Brentford, they have impressed us a lot by having nice results lately. They got a 3-3 draw against Liverpool and won against West Ham by 2-1 away in their last games. These teams can end the season at a decent place if they keep up their good form generally.

A breath of fresh air for the Newcastle team and players. The team has really struggled under the ownership of Mike Ashley. Hopefully this new ownership will see the club spend more money to get quality players and a better coach to manage the team. My only concern now is that the team should try to avoid being relegated this season so it doesn't affect the movement of big players to the team.

@igehhh while I’m happy for them but I don’t think they can suddenly secure world’s best player’s at least not in next summer transfer window. Also their first priority is to convince a top coach to come and save their current season, so they should try to get Conte or take a risk and get Mourinho only then can they think of landing big player’s.

Of course this will be encouraging news, especially for Newcastle United fans. There is no denying that this team will become another big team in the Premier League once the new owner change occurs as there will be more new players signing their contracts with this team. We'll see who the first player will be bought or who will be the coach they will bring to advance this team to compete to the top. It seems that buying clubs has become a trend coming from Arab conglomerates over the last decade because it is the most profitable investment in my opinion.

This is some huge news. Even the owner of Man City's net worth is 34 billion dollars and the new owner of Newcastle has the worth of 320billion! 10 times of that of Man City's. I think in the next 3 or 4 years, Newcastle will be a top-tier team by signing the best talents of Europe. Although I'm very curious about how many titles he can buy with money.

After this deal Newcastle will be able to compete with clubs like Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Kylian Mbappe is expected to become free agent next year as PSG have yet to agree on his contract extension (source)

I would like to see what scores you think some of the games will end on. Surely some of you here can place your opinions on some of the games  Grin

If Totteham Hotspur travel to Newcastle then beat them it will start with a defeat for the new owners. Is it appropriate to now call Newcastle United the richest football club in the world after their takeover by a group that is funded by the Saudi Arabia state?

Kylian Mbappe will be a free agent indeed. This will be a big chance for Newcastle to make an offer to him also. But like I said, Newcastle will have much less chance than Real Madrid to sign him. Real Madrid are his dream team and he wouldn't want to go to any other club rather than them. Some sources claim that PSG will manage to sign a contract extension with him but I don't think that he will accept the offer as he wants to join Real Madrid at the first opportunity.

Yes, I agree, and as for who will be the team's next manager, that position is still open for a few coaches to fill and rebuild the team in order to compete next season, Manchester City took two years to construct a strong team, so we'll see how it goes.

I would like to see what scores you think some of the games will end on. Surely some of you here can place your opinions on some of the games  Grin

Isn't this bit too early? There is no league game this weekend it's all boring international games but these are great fixtures will go for goals instead.

This are all speculations, Halland and Mbappe moving to Newcastle can never be possible, those young lads are ambitious and purposeful.
Despite the change from the head, players like Mbappe won't go there,a good coach has to be there for all of this movement.
Asides that proper planning and management is required, else there will be no profit which might result to further disappointment in the team.
I think it's possible, Halland or Mbappe one of them will go to Newcastle, of course with the new ownership it will change everything like a goal more than ever and will have an impact on signing new players to fulfill the wishes of the new owner.
The wealth of the new owner of Newcstle is fantastic and he bought a football club with clear goals and he definitely wants his club to be in the top position like Manchester city used to be. I'm sure in the future there will be mega stars who will play for the Newcaslte club.

From now on, we will most probably see a completely different team. Newcastle will start bringing very qualified players to the team in the coming transfer window in January. There are rumours like they can sign very big players as Kylian Mbappe. But the Mbappe transfer doesn't seem realistic to me as he wants to go to Real Madrid, not to a club any different than them. But they can sign so many big players and build a brand new squad. After that, we will most probably see them fighting for the title in the Premier League maybe not this year but as of the next season.

Yes, Even if Mbappe decides to go to Real Madrid, there are still so many other big performing players like you have said that with good bargain will sign up for Newcastle. I'm excited to see the changes that will come to the team in the next couple of months, I'm excited to see the new big names that will join the squad, excited for the new coach and technical team (if they will). Hopefully they survive this season and don't get relegated, their performance next season will be something to watch out for.

All they need to do this season is have a decent enough position in the league and at least don't get relegated. Starting from next season they will go all out in the transfer window. Even if other clubs don't wanna let go of their players, the players will find it very difficult to resist a huge contract. I also don't think that Mbappe will go to Newcastle as he has already said that his heart is in Madrid. But even if he doesn't go, players like Haaland, Sterling, just name 2 or 3 best players in each position and Newcastle will have them within the next 2 or 3 seasons.

If I was a Newcastle Supporter I would stop supporting them. A couple of months passes since the super league and we get a owner who is worth more than $500 billion owning Newcastle and has promised a 200 million dollar investment in the next transfer window which is the maximum allowed before breaching financial play. I would not stop supporting them because of that I would stop supporting them because their owners are killers and have been found guilty of chopping up a man and dissolving him with acid. I am disappointed with the support the Newcastle fans are showing because they will get money out of it.

Newcastle United officially confirmed about the take over

Mbappe is just one potential player that can be acquired by Newcastle after the takeover. Now they are in position to acquire many more player's like that. Real Madrid is dream team of every player not only for Mbappe.
We are expecting more action in English Premier League.

Ah..  So that’s why I’ve been seeing some Mbappe and Kane to Newcastle United talks in the football transfer prediction thread.  Someone finally got the club away from the clutches of Mike Ashley.  Lol.

As for Mbappe and Kane to Newcastle, we’ll see.  I don’t think those two would want to be involved in a fallen club’s rebuilding process.  Those guys want to win silverware.

They have not just got rid of Mike Ashley they have sold to a nation Saudi Arabia which has a very bad background. They were found guilty by the CIA of killing a journalist chopping him up and dissolving him in a sink. The person who owns Newcastle ordered for his execution. This is not only murder but a crime against humanity because Journalists are suppose to have a freedom to report the news. They were found guilty of this and this is why I find it awful that Newcastle fans are happy about this takeover. They are now owned by one of the most powerful murderers and I am not sure if that is better then having Mike Ashley owning the team. I guess they get what they want because they now are the richest team on the earth.

I agree with that, mbappe is not the only best player available in the transfer market later, with the amount of money that newcastle has at the moment of course they will have no problem getting a star player,  in your opinion, how the new owners will feel if the this season newcastle really relegated Huh Grin, my reasoning, because currently newcastle position in the standings is quite vulnerable and they are now in 19th position in the standings without winning a single match, even though later management will bring in many players in the january transfer market, of course newcastle position has fallen far and it will be very difficult to improve its position later, because it is clear that other teams will also strengthen their respective squads in January.
