So I need a very efficient way to organize and manage this project effectively with the community.. and I think something like or similar to hitask... any recommendations? Nice. I'm glad we're getting onto this. What works well enough for the Mastercoin people is https://www.bountysource.com/ Offering sufficient bounties for various tasks may not be within XC's budget, of course, but it definitely incentivises. It also formalises the task list in an organic way, which is elegant. Since the community isn't constituted by employees, incentives are probably a better idea than a straight task management platform. What do you think? |

Is that Chaeplin fellow around and able to attempt something before 2pm EST? He never provided proof of the link True. But he did more than anyone else could. In all probability he won't be able to prove anything (if not due to his poor English, then due to a proof being a fair bit harder than a guess), but it's probably worth giving him a shot. |

Update - I just ran a TX through the mixer http://cryptexplorer.com/address/XDNHMSD2Feex8bDHz9yiLtadHz4LGABQWEthe only thing I'm looking for now is proof of direct link from the source wallet address to the destination wallet on block chain Since this is single path at this time (not multi-path) that is the only concern with this release, is there a DIRECT LINK.. thanks, ATCSECURE Didn't we already prove that? Nobody was able to provide a direct link last time either. I was told that there was a lot confusion around this, so I did another test with a minor update to the code. but as REV2 is a priority w/ multi-path, I can't spend time on an issue that isn't an issue.. Thanks dev for the continued and solid work. I'll be following the responses to this with much interest. |

I think it has strengths, like looking like the sort of thing one would find on the door of a safe. However it's skeuomorphic. That faux brushed steel and those colour gradients are a fad from a few years back. There's also reason to consider how it will be at odds with the aesthetics of mobile app design, since a major part of XC's development is mobile and POS integration. Mobile app design has a minimal, flat, colourful look. Take, for example, the latest Skype logo. This XC logo will just look dated and out of place in that environment. |

XC should have a slogan contest and then get an advert on coinmarketcap.com i think...
Advertising would be key. There are a bunch of crypto coin sites that are a bargain to advertise on. I think a heavy advertising campaign before we have a tested and working decentralized anon system would be a mistake. Decentralized anon is the core of XC and until that is working flawlessly, an advertising campaign would be a disaster. +1. Advertising no, PR yes. Also, slogans are pretty 1980s. Do we need that in our brand? |

We need a brand, not just a logo. there have been some great logos in the contest, the last submission on the blue background is it in my opinion, it looks like a key a little so it fits Perhaps, but has there been conversation about whether a key embodies the sort of narrative XC would best suit? That's what I mean by branding. It's almost like seigniorage in currency-creation: it commodifies previously untapped resources in the nature of the coin, just as seigniorage commodifies previously untapped aspects of the world. A good marketing person would get deep into the details of the coin, its tech, its vision, its people, and put together a narrative and a set of concrete elements (logo, site, etc.) that tell/embody this story. Does XC has an official twitter account? As we know, most of the times the road to a new feature makes the price go up. When anonymity is finished, price may go up a little, but not much. People like to buy on forehand. Why is it the XC creators are not actively advertising on twitter what they are trying to accomplish? People are searching on altcoin names whole day long on twitter and often make a decision to buy or not.

Evan Duffield waited for almost 6 months before he started marketing DRK actively. I don't think that's correct. You market anything that has public exposure and stands to gain or lose from the nature of that exposure. Call it PR rather than marketing, perhaps, if it makes more sense. Yeah this is what I meant. I'm not saying promote it as a finished product. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to get the word out a bit more about what we've got so far, and whats in the pipeline!  Exactly. XC needs a coherent, cogent story told of it. It needs a well-publicised development plan, and candid daily reports on progress, unsolved problems, and plans of attack. The way Vitalik Buterin writes about Ethereum is an excellent example of pre-release PR: it's no-nonsense, technical, clearly written, and engaging. If something big is in the pipeline, we owe it to the community to publicise it well and engage people. dont read the chart... trust your gut... i listened to mine yesterday at .0019 and got out - thankfully. There will be a time to get back into XC but that time is not now.
Alternatively, one can profit from other people's panic. Although the exchanges don't offer shorting, every crash has a significant rebound, so you can just wait patiently until the price is about to bounce off the bottom, buy, and sell a few minutes later on the rebound. Easiest money ever. I'm not the most experienced trader, but this I find particularly predictable. |

The only issue is they where stupid enough to do each of the orders nearly exactly 7 seconds apart. Mikemikemike, given that the wedge broke downward, what's your short term outlook at the moment? Not happy. That's my short term outlook. Seriously though, I'm not too sure. My feel for the market kinda went out of wack today, apart from buying in @ 0.00145. Another crash soon seems more likely than not. I'm waiting for the update later to make any moves though. Knowing there's going to be news today kinda throws all reasonable analysis out the window. Lets see what's the news is and how the next few hours progress, a few large orders over the last hour have kinda thrown the recovery out of wack. Gonna hold my breath and see what happens, not really sure either way. Gonna be an interesting few hours that I'm sure of Yeah, I'd agree with you. It all seems a bit out of whack. The chart suggests substantial disagreement on where the price should be headed. Ah well, here's to an uncertain afternoon. |

Good work ! I hate logo trends ...i must say.. Yeah, I'd agree that it would be a good idea to not try too hard to be trendy. However we should also make an attempt to not look like a trend from 2007. |
