Does XC has an official twitter account? As we know, most of the times the road to a new feature makes the price go up. When anonymity is finished, price may go up a little, but not much. People like to buy on forehand. Why is it the XC creators are not actively advertising on twitter what they are trying to accomplish? People are searching on altcoin names whole day long on twitter and often make a decision to buy or not.
+1 Also agree XC could do with someone dedicated to marketing. there is very little at the moment.

You market anything that has public exposure and stands to gain or lose from the nature of that exposure. Call it PR rather than marketing, perhaps, if it makes more sense.

If you do aggressive marketing on some untested product, watch price rise and fall very deep for long time or for good. XC would be better if whales didn't pump it in the first place, promoting it on exchanges for quick $. But, it is done what is done, now wait till product is full functional and than it shall promote it self. Than, with a good marketing, we can have steady higher prices.

With coins claiming anon features left and right, look for the market cap to shrink further in the next 2-3 weeks before REV2 is live.

+1. I think the dev team could benefit from a person specifically responsible for marketing. However, there is a Twitter account: https://twitter.com/XCplatformthat's true, it seems XC community are not good at marketing and social media promotion. maybe dev team are waiting for everything been done perfectly. they shouldn't wait for everything(blockchain 2.0, marketplace, etc. ..) to start a dedicated marketing campaign, i think they don't want to claim what they will do but rather whats already acomplished once they push into public. most coins do it the other way around, xc is different here again. But if they don't have a real "promo hustler" on the sideline already they should defenetly find one. those guys aren't always easy to handle but nessesary, beeing a nice community and responsive to all concerns isn't enough, this way its always FUD -->answer FUD -->answer and so on i hope they turn the tables at one point cause they got enough to bck up a more aggresive positive stance already

XC needs a coherent, cogent story told of it. It needs a well-publicised development plan, and candid daily reports on progress, unsolved problems, and plans of attack. The way Vitalik Buterin writes about Ethereum is an excellent example of pre-release PR: it's no-nonsense, technical, clearly written, and engaging. It inspires confidence. --> http://blog.ethereum.org/

Thanks for updating the first page of this thread. It's much more helpful now. Also, I can't wait for the logo contest to be over so that we can get a more professional logo. Compared to the other coins the XC logo looks a little unprofessional on http://cryptocoinstats.com/and http://coinmarketcap.com/

Just be honest, advertise your projects, but don't lie when the project delays or fails partially or something. XC devs are one of the best and why I'm trusting this coin more than others atm is because of the little marketing, it tells me this isn't just a coin which is being pumped for own profits, but it's really trying to be technically more advanced. That doesn't mean a little more advertising shouldn't be done. I think when it's combined properly XC will go up in value faster (and with the difference that the extra value is honestly earned because the devs really are doing some great work). tl;dr: do some more advertising, but be real, don't do it in a pumping way. Get the people to trust you

Compared to the other coins the XC logo looks a little unprofessional on http://cryptocoinstats.com/and http://coinmarketcap.com/Speaking of the logo, I know that a vote has been planned, but I'm not convinced the designs submitted are quite where they need to be yet. The best of them are skeuomorphic and don't sufficiently distinguish themselves from the morass of altcoins out there. I know a top notch designer; we could get her (or anyone else) in. How about it?
