3621  Other / Meta / Re: Have you ever noticed that some of your posts are gone without being told ... on: March 14, 2021, 03:32:51 PM
Yes, I am familiar with that but very rarely. Most of the time I report such as spam threads when I feel that posts should be deleted instead of replying there. Since we are human sometimes I encounter post delete without notice and it happens when the whole thread got deleted. Anyway, this isn't a big issue IMO. You may avoid such as deleting issues by avoiding reply on obvious spam thread and help forum to keep clean by report spam post.
3622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IDO IS THE NEW ICO on: March 13, 2021, 07:00:49 PM
Lol, I heard the first time about IDO since I am not much active on the altcoin section. Isn't all the fundraising methods are same? Money is going from investor's pocket to developers/scammers pocket either it's IEO, ICO, or IDO. Peoples just taking advantage of decentralized exchange by IDO. I think it's quite risky than IEO. The team would skip with funds like ICO since no one holding the funds. Because Dex means all the control of your funds is with you. I am not saying all IDO projects will scam you, but there is a huge chance of being scammed. Day by day scammers is looking for easy methods to scam us, just keep in mind before invest on anywhere.
3623  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Import Electrum BECH32 private key in blockchain.com on: March 13, 2021, 06:44:53 PM
How did you find out blockchain.com not supporting bech32? And which wallets support bech32?  The purpose to import btc to non custodial wallet is to trade.
Keep in mind, if you lost access to your blockchain wallet you can't recover your funds of the inputted wallet even you are holding blockchain wallet seeds or wallet file in case if there is no backup for private keys. Seeds aren't included in the inputted wallet. If it's just to trade your bitcoin then why not choose a reputed exchange rather than involving with many issues. You have to move funds to exchange again from the inputted wallet. Moving from Electrum to the Blockchain wallet wouldn't be a good decision IMO. There are so many issues raising up regarding blockchain wallets.
3624  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally deposited USDT to ETH wallet on: March 13, 2021, 06:34:47 PM
Yes, I've tried sending them a request through the support page. Because they didn't respond to that, I also emailed them directly. I will keep the weekly follow-up in mind.

Thanks for your help!
Had you tried to reach them by any other methods? There Facebook and Twitter contacts. Try to reach them via these social media. But be careful, don't share your wallet credentials with anybody. Even wallet authorized shouldn't ask you for your wallet credentials. There is no other way to recover your funds except the help of the Gemini support team. That's the disadvantage of using a web wallet or noncustodial wallet. So, you have to wait for their response.

By the way, many scammers would PM you to recover the wallet. Just use the report button in case it happens. Anyone want to help you really then he will reply here on the thread.
3625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost Wallet/Private Keys on: March 13, 2021, 06:20:40 PM
Uggghhh...  SO do you think I would have any chance with Daves wallet recovery service that I read about on another post here?
It would be quite complicated and there are very low chances. It's most important to know what type of wallet you had used, custodial or noncustodial and the name of the wallet. If the recovery team doesn't know the site in the online wallet case then it's not possible to recover since you don't know any wallet credentials. If at least there is a wallet file without encryption then there are chances to recover the wallet. Try to remember at least the wallet name and what kind of wallet you had used. Otherwise, there are no chances
3626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 13, 2021, 05:34:11 PM
If you know that how a decentralized system works then simply you know that any centralized organization like the government wouldn't prevent the use of Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is the truly decentralized cryptocurrency backed by the community. It's not backed by any government. So, they simply unable to stop Bitcoin. Although they can't stop it technically, but if all governments ban Bitcoin then it would affect Bitcoin price. I don't think it will happen since the world moving towards digitization. And a few governments taking advantage of Bitcoin that is well aware of its technology.
3627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which plan seems better? on: March 12, 2021, 05:20:36 PM
Since I am not a fan of LTC, so number one would better solution. Although I am a fan of Bitcoin, if I am neutral then also you keep ETH in your portfolio. But rather than 50%, it would better 60/40. So you can take advantage of both coins. Actually depends on you about buying and holding duration. Because we can't determine the actual dip to buy, so you have to take real-time decision.
3628  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Theymos really a lauda? on: March 12, 2021, 01:13:00 PM
Where did you hear that?  I've heard Theymos refer to Lauda as "he" before, and Theymos probably knows what gender Lauda is.
Where did you read this? I have noticed theymos refer to Lauda as "She".

Damn, I'm found out. While personally training Lauda in the dark arts of forum moderation, we fell deeply in love. I couldn't bear to see her endure the torture of trust drama while doing unspeakable deeds for me, so I invented this complicated algorithm as an excuse to add her back in even though I could've just unilaterally added her to DT at any second. Truly, my cowardice knows no bounds.
Hope OP also got the answer about Lauda's gender. So what is next?

I don't think Theymos and Lauda are the same people, at least myself I can't find any connections and reasons. @OP, when you create such as controversial thread, then please provide more info to look into that. Otherwise, it's just another troll thread.
3629  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bingswap.finance fake team and partnership Beware! on: March 12, 2021, 12:46:00 PM
Lol, how stupid they are. When they are announcing a partnership or backed by DODO means investors will verify that by asking the DODO team. And eventually, it will be revealed that there is no relationship between them and announced a fake partnership. So anyone will never invest in such a project. However, it looks like their whole team fake or edited somehow., and although I can't recall I think I have seen these images somewhere.

Anyway thanks OP for posting this on the forum. Never mind they aren't in the forum, but this thread will reflect search engines like Google.
3630  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com responsible for loss of clients funds on: March 10, 2021, 08:59:58 PM
Blockchain claimed their service as a noncustodial wallet service. But I doubt it's not a true noncustodial wallet. It's pretty sure blockchain staff could see the wallet id and emails as well. To be more honest, even a site would code like this that staff would directly log in to the user account without a password. If the site isn't open-source we can't verify it and without a web developer expert who can read the code language, no one could detect it. So abusing the system is possible. But if there is an activity log on the admin system, then it's possible to detect who abuses the system. Because if someone scam by blockchain staff, then I think the user will not stay calm and eventually authorities would notice it. Anyway, I believe the story op mentioned on the thread is an issue of hacking. If someone would hack the email, means it's pretty easy to find the wallet id. Then hacker could change the email accordingly.
3631  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: login credential details with bitcoin apps on: March 10, 2021, 08:40:30 PM
Using a third-party centralized wallet or exchange means you are trusting them. Believe me, although that all wallets using SSL encryption but still they have access to your wallet. Their codes aren't open-source, which means they even could directly access your wallet if they want. No one could detect it except them.  Where is encryption, there is decryption as well. So, if you can't trust them then do not use their service. If you are forced to use their service to buy cryptocurrency then just move your funds into a noncustodial wallet. It's better to use a hardware wallet if you are dealing with a big amount.
3632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to spot Bitcoin and Defi Scam on: March 10, 2021, 05:42:20 PM
Preventing scams isn't too hard if you use your common sense to take any decisions dealing with crypto. The DeFi system creates an HYIP somehow. During trading, I do not choose any DeFi token due to the high risk. And I forgot about the investment of IEO or ICO. It's really ridiculous how a DeFi toke surpasses Bitcoin price, but in the end, it has been losing price. This means many investors are losing their funds. I think very less project has a real development, they just taking advantage of DeFi HYIP. To be honest, whales are making money from DeFi schemes. So I think it's better to think twice before play with DeFi tokens since we are very small traders/investors.
3633  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin signals on: March 10, 2021, 05:26:10 PM
Come on man! This is your first post and you are looking for signal service. I believe you would fund many sites that are offering crypto signals, I am not familiar not interested in such a service. Believe me, I am no a couple of paid groups (although I didn't pay) and monitoring their signals. It's just a fake service, it's true a few signals become successful, but a major part of signals are fake and you can't be gained by following them. Because you don't know which signal will succeed or fail. I am only monitoring them for getting crypto news, never played based on their trading signals. So I feel better to learn more rather than looking for a crypto signal site. Just think, if a person could give you a true signal, then why he can't become a multi-millionaire by trading himself?
3634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank offering Crypto Services!! on: March 10, 2021, 05:15:07 PM
I am quite confused about what they mean by custodial service. I have read the article you provided. I realized they are offering to buy crypto through their banks. And of course, it would easier to buy sell. But most likely users have to spend a few extra money when they will deal with the crypto. If custodial service means keep bitcoin deposits like fiat, then most likely true Bitcoin users will not engage with those who understand the decentralized system. However, still, I will consider that is a positive move for a bank, although this isn't huge adoption, something is better than nothing.
3635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can government shutdown Bitcoin on: March 10, 2021, 05:01:43 PM
I will ask the OP, do you know about the decentralized ecosystem? Let's see a quote from https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decentralization
Quote
Decentralization or decentralisation is the process by which the activities of an organization, particularly those regarding planning and decision making, are distributed or delegated away from a central, authoritative location or group.

The summary is, a decentralized ecosystem is out of control from any centralized authority. Since a government is a centralized authority, means they can't shut down Bitcoin. Even the creator couldn't shut down the whole system since it has been deployed on the Blockchain and there is much backup which is enough to continue the current system.
3636  Economy / Reputation / Re: Chipmixer campaign by the constant pressure of the hypocrite? on: March 10, 2021, 04:50:27 PM
So many threads regarding Chipmixer, does it really necessary? Whoever has been applying to the campaign read the campaign rules. And Darkstar clearly stated that he has the right to remove anyone for any reason.

10. I reserve the right to disqualify any post, for any reason towards payment. This is for insurance purposes; I'm happy to talk/debate about whether a post should/shouldn't count over PM.

11. I reserve the right to remove anyone, for any reason from the campaign.

12. I reserve the right to change the rules for new pay rounds.
The above quote proves that Darkstar isn't obliged to explain why he removed someone. If the company doesn't have problems with management then we don't have the right to ask such questions. A company hires someone when he has faith in a person. We shouldn't interfere with any manager if he isn't abusing the forum rules and not abusing the trust system.
3637  Other / Meta / Re: Shame question - links in signature on: March 09, 2021, 03:17:41 PM
I wonder how to report someone who is selling illegal products even on the marketplace because it is against the rules but they keep doing it for years? Roll Eyes
Had you used the report to moderator button? If it doesn't work then you may PM with the details to the appropriate moderators why and how do you think selling products are illegal and against forum rules. I have past experience about such as report when the report to moderator thread marked bad or unhandled, then I wrote the appropriate moderators and they have been taking action. If somehow both are not working then proceed to create a thread with the details, hope it would work eventually if really there is something against forum rules.
3638  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2 cheaters. Will they get payments on 17/03/2021? on: March 09, 2021, 02:11:01 PM
I am not getting exactly why are you calling them cheaters and what exactly happened there? I apologize for the misunderstanding, but I am not getting anything about why you have created the thread against these 2 user. Anyway, have the right to remove their signature at any time for any reason, but of course, they will not eligible for weekly payments if they aren't following the campaign rules. Why are companies hiring a campaign manager? To monitor and manage all the participants for their campaign. So in the end, the manager will review everything before releasing the payment. Anyway, it doesn't mean managers can't make mistakes since they are human, so you may help them by sending a PM if you found something wrong about participants or the campaign. Simply remove/change the signature and apply on other campaigns doesn't mean cheater.
3639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are no real coins in bitcoin on: March 09, 2021, 01:46:53 PM
I am quite confused about what does exactly means real coin that OP mentioned above. Does it mean physical coin? If so then yes there is no physical coin. But it doesn't mean there is no real coin because there is a real algorithm to determine the coins or mean the coins. If you are familiar with mobile banking or internet banking, have you notice is there any real fiat? Aren't they just using an algorithm to determine the real amount which would be cashout from the bank or authorized party? Same Bitcoin working but with decentralized blockchain technology. You can still cash out here from ATMs or banks. So how are you cashing Bitcoin if there is no real coin?
3640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: March 08, 2021, 05:24:12 PM
Bitcoin would make a person's life better or worst, it totally depends on the situation and uses. I will not call it a life-changing investment, because there is no guaranteed return. You are buying a currency, if the price grows after you buy then it would make your life better if continue dump after you bought then it will make your life more worst. It wasn't designed for investments. We should know the actual goal of Bitcoin why it was created. So we can imagine where we are putting our money. Even holding Bitcoin will consider as trading. Because you exchange real cash for Bitcoin, and again you will exchange Bitcoin for real cash. Your outcome depends on your trading. You have to take the right time decisions.
