.... I think overcoming egos is going to be the biggest challenge for this team.
They need to sort this one out. I don't think the coach can do anything if the players do not personally let someone lead the team. What's happening with Lakers right now also reminds me of the Wade-James-Bosh Heat era. There were two leaders in their first season together but Wade had to give up the lead role to James the next year and they started winning championships.

Yeah but that was prime years wade, Bron and bosh.  They could get away with not playing up to peak.  This team just looks too old.  And russ being inefficient doesn't help.  They need to have russ run with Melo and 3 other people.  Let Rondo play with Bron and AD.  They look like the 4-6 team in the west.

What are we doing today? I’m not sure I’ll be able to place any bets or watch the games tonight because of some other things I have going on, but I gotta say it is tempting to throw a big parlay out there today with the Mavs, Bulls (maybe), Jazz, 76ers, & Warriors all looking like they should have a win in their future tonight. With no Nets or Lakers playing it’s a good evening to take off.  Smiley

Bulls vs New York Knicks might be a bit tricky, so you might be better off removing them in your multibet.

Mavs, Jazz, Warriors might be a good to put a parlay, they seems to be unstoppable at this point.

And 76ers needs to bounce back so possible that they are on going very hard to get a win against the Pistons. Wizards vs Hawks is also a difficult game to predict, but I will go with the Wizards at handicap, they might pull a surprised.

Agreed on that game.  Pretty much a picked both have looked real good.  I have a personal bet as a knick fan with a bulls fan but something small for fun and bragging rights.  Can't wait for that game to start.  I know it's early in the season but this will be a good test for both teams in figuring where they fit in the east.  LFG Knicks!!

Which coin(s) would you buy now? I mean during this crash.

For value preservation definately bitcoin.  In a downturn if bitcoin foes go down alts will fall even harder.  Holding some of those coins might temporarily make you some more money in the end honey badger will outlast and out perform all of them.

It's gambling that's it.  It's a useless coin that people hope to buy and have someone paymore for.  Eventually the bottom will fall out and those holding (diamond handing) the bag will be the lovers in the doge game everyone is playing.

While the Lakers woes continue, so do the Nets. James Harden is struggling big time out there with the ball. I had assumed this was because he spent his summer partying with rappers and is not in nba shape, but it seems like people are saying this is the result of rule changes taking the free throw line away from him. If it is rule changes to blame, the Nets need Kyrie bad at the point… I wonder how much longer this vaccine nonsense will rule all.
Looks like the new rule regarding calling fouls by the referees really hit Harden that bad. On average, Harden is taking 9 FTA per game but now he is only taking at least 3 FTA per game. A huge decrease and that is because of the new rules. The new rule hit him, Young, Doncic and those players who really like to lean on to the defenders to let them commit a foul. With the Nets currently 24th in offense and with a record of 2-3, they really need Kyrie but it seems like his ego still prevails and he still don't want to get vaccinated for his personal reasons and shit.

Well, the Lakers team still not fail to amaze me Cheesy
At one point, they lead by up to 26 at the 2nd quarter and they blew it all up at the 3rd quarter. Many here are blaming Ninja Turtle (Westbrook) but lets also blame his teammates who did awful on the second half. Scored 72 in the first half which is high already and only 43 on the second. I'm curious on what LeBron is saying to his teammates after the game Cheesy.

I'm glad this rule is in place.  It's been making watching games easier to watch seeing them actually playing, and not jumping sideways into defenders going to the free throw line every minute.  I think we will see some new top 10-20 players emerge with this new rule in place.

The Lakers look like a good pick for tonight, even if they're down some players.  OKC seems like they're already in full tank mode, so unless something wildly crazy happens, the Lakers should be able to pull off the win.  The odds aren't really worth the win bet though in my opinion.  Sure, I think they'll win, but the risk (which is little) isn't worth the reward (which is practically non-existent).  So for today I'll just be watching the game and seeing how they're developing.  Hopefully Anthony Davis and LeBron return to Los Angeles healthy and ready to start getting some wins against decent teams.

Yep the Lakers get odds like the Yankees do.  More risk with little reward.  No matter the sport big market tes get over bet on because there are more fans of them and tilt the spread because people bet with their heart and not head.  It's almost worth betting against those teams as the payouts are nice.  About the only thing that's worked well when I bet on sports is small market bet.

Lakers lose.  Defimately good to bet against them up front.  You will get great odds every game until mid season.  Yeah they will get their wins but if you bet against them every game I think on average the odds will play in the bettors favor.  They looked like garbage again tonight.

Lakers are not playing with consistency, they win 2 in a row but lose in the game where they have a huge lead. That was a literal meltdown by the Lakers, their entire system was corrupt that's why they were not able to make an adjustment. Next game will be against the Cavaliers, I'm sure they'll still be the favorites here.

Of course they will be the favorite over the cavs.  With the cabs big men it will actually be a tough game for the Lakers.  Lakers will have to beat them with the 3 ball.  A quick shooting slump and the cabs will win outright.

It's Lakers vs Thunder indeed and with the Lakers' star players doubtful in this game I would be backing the Thunder for today's game plus they are playing in their homecourt. James and Davis are prone to injury lately if this will continue this will hurt them in the post-season just like last year so I think it would be best for the Lakers coaches to start thinking of load management.
Look at the Thunder's results in previous games. Their performances are unconvincing, considering that they haven't won any regular season games yet. So I doubt that the Thunder will be able to win the Lakers even if Lebron James and Anthony Davis don't play in the upcoming match.

Lakers having a huge lead against OKC now, so I would say chances are they are going to win their 3rd straight games. I have them parlay again, but it seems the Hawks are having a hard time against the Wizards, hopefully they can pull it off and so is the Clippers and the Suns. I think my bet is going to be close just like yesterday and it will be down to the wire again.

After that 1st quarter outburst by the Lakers I thought that I lost my bet already but thanks to Westbrook's 10 turn-overs, it helped the Thunder get back on this game. Honestly, I didn't expect the Thunder to win but if they gonna lose, I think it won't be more than 5 points as I think that Davis and James won't be playing in this game but Davis did suit up.

Lakers are creeping towards mediocrity.  To think you can put that many injury prone or old players on a team and to think it will work just because of names is crazy.  I can see them actually struggling to get in the home game first series (top 4).  West is loaded this year.  Jazz, Nuggets, gs, and clips/Suns better than them.

Chicago Bulls hype is now making noise in the NBA community.

Their last 4-0 record was way back 1997-98 season. I like to see the team competing in the Eastern Conference Finals at most. It's been a while since Chicago Bulls are included in the competition on the East. It's time now for the Chicago Bulls fans to experience again the same hype during the Jordan era (much better) and D. Rose era.

I would like to think even the Chicago fans will say yes 4-0 is nice but to say they are as excited as they were when mj was at the health isn't fair.  I don't think derozen and lavine strum up the same confidence as when mj and pippin were doing their thing. But yes bb fans should be excited the torch is being passed from the powerhouses.

The Lakers vs Brooklyn game tomorrow is a preview of their possible match-up in the NBA finals and we will gonna see which team has less chance to win the champion after the game tomorrow. The Lakers have their superstars healthy and the Nets will also play well with Kevin Durant and James Harden tomorrow which will make it the most watch game and will gonna be a slap for the Lakers if they gonna lose this one. Hope they will gonna win though since they started with a devastating loss with GSW.

Honestly I think the better matchup which will be a dogfight will be the 4-0 bulls and the 3-1 knicks.  Bulls haven't beaten anyone really good yet but their team has greatly improved, and the Knicks look even stronger than they did last year early on.  Kemba dropping 5 dimes in what was a blowout of Philly last night.  Knicks look legit, and have depth to get through tough stretches.

I love the Bulls this year though, but they need to have a game against a top team in the East to be able to say that they are for real. This is their strongest start since the Michael Jordan era, it might be early to say, but they are one of the dark horse team right now. With Zach Lavine, DeRozan, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso. They really look very solid.

I don't think it will be a laker/Nets final.  Nets aren't deep enough and Lakers need to get it together.

Both teams are still struggling, specially the Lakers, although they've already win 2 games in a row. It was very close and not against a top tier team. They still have a lot of work to be done.

Yeah the bulls and knicks game will be very telling.  Knicks got some good in division wins so far this year.  Bulls look tight.  Primitive game tomorrow with both teams playing at a high level.  Already got my popcorn ready.

Side note: Knicks last night beat the 6ers for the first time in like 15 or 16 games.  Since 2017, and they did it convincingly.  Go knicks!!!

Holy shit I just realized that I literally have the entire core (2rb,2wr,1flex) of a team out.

Imagine facing this team with a waiver QB.

Jeez not gonna lie that is brutal.  McCaffrey has screwd people 2 years in a row.  Dude is a lock for massive points when he is on the field but he is off the field more often than not.  Yeah byes gonna wreck you unless you get some guys back lol.

BTW no clue I still use the old imgur upload route which is why I rarely post screenys lol.

Anyone watch the game last night? I’m surprised this hasn’t been brought up yet. Brady was a guest on the Peyton & Eli Show and they asked him about his 600th TD ball that Mike Evans gave to someone in the stands by mistake. First Peyton quipped “Are you turning the ball in to an NFT” and then after they were talking about how the guy who gave the ball back getting a raw deal (some estimate it’s worth 500k), Tom then said they are giving him 1 Bitcoin, so it’s not all that bad of a deal. Pretty awesome!!

2:08- NFT quip
2:46- bitcoin

The 1 bitcoin given might be worth than the ball on 2027 and Brady might offer the ball in exchange for 1 bitcoin hehehe.

In any case, what is everyone’s evaluation on Dak Prescott’s injured calf? Will he play? The Cowboys are only -2.5 versus Minnesota Vikings. Cowboys can win this -7 against the spread with Dak Prescott, I reckon. Is everyone expecting Dak Prescott to be out of this game?

I think dak will be a go but just follow the practice report.  Even if he plays I would be weary betting on Dallas.  His mobility and throwing on the move make a huge difference.  Injuries to major stars always makes me shy away from betting on either team.
3634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 27, 2021, 12:56:26 PM
Carmelo was good for some clutch minutes down at the end too.  I still think Howard is being underutilized and they need to get Kendrick Nunn back from injury along with LeBron.  I see the potential.

Carmelo and Westbrook already had an amazing game as a Laker, I'd like to believe that they have already adjusted to their new team, and the Lakers after a bad start are already on 2 winning streaks, thanks to Westbrook's impressive performance against the Spurs and he was there to support Davis despite the absence of Lebron James.

Davis was okay but if the team will give him one night off, I think the Lakers could handle their next opponent.

Lakers vs OKC tomorrow.

The Spurs are going to be one of the worst teams in the league this year.  Lakers squeezing past a bottom dweller doesn't impress me, those are the games russ will fill it up.  He needs to do that against the jazz, nugs, gs, etc.  He definately would thrive running the second team.  I think it's a mistake putting him out there with Bron and ad.

This goes with selling hardware on there too.  Sold a GPU sealed BNIB on eBay one time and 5 months later saying they received it broken.  Got charged back and seller return me a card with dust all over obviously mined the hell out of it first.  Win win for buyer.  Even if they don't win the case they have probably roi'd anyway.

As far as coins yep PayPal suspended my account cause I was selling satoris on ebay, trying to say I was acting as a money transmitter lol. Silliness

My ebay account is on it's last warning, im going to have to avoid anything remotely close to crypto for a while moving forwards.

Mine was back awhile ago when PayPal refused to accept crypto will eventually dominate them in due time.  Now that they are on board at least in the slightest way I'm sure it will be a little more lenient.  I had a series of funny emails with them trying to tell me because I'm third party selling satoris how I'm a bank.  Was an easy back and forth from my side.  I even think they used the term "The Bit Coins"  Grin

Either way good luck but yeah crypto is still dicey on ebay.  Plenty of other avenues to sell through here being one of them plenty enough of us degens here to support a buy/sell community.

New season started and teams did two to four matches. Which teams start is more impressive? I changed the poll, please vote and write your reasons here.
For me, Bulls 4-0 start is pretty impressive. Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and Nikola Vucevic have a good chemistry. I don't know if they go on like this but this is their best start since 25 years. It's also nice to see DeRozan get more recognition he deserves.

New Poll Question: Which start is impressive?
-Chicago Bulls
-Charlotte Hornets
-Milwaukee Bucks
-Golden State Warriors
-Utah Jazz
-Other

Honestly Charlotte's start has surprised me.  I was skeptical of lamely and his game but that kid is strong, and the rest of the team is more than solid.  They might not go to the finals but they will be a tough out night in and night out.  Warriors killing it to start out has surprised me too.  They look real good right now. Nobdoy wants to play steph right now.

Yeah It was solid package.  I think it was 2 signed Brady jerseys, signed jersey and cleats from evans, 2 two year season passes and a bitcoin from Brady.  All in all a pretty good day at the park I'd say all on a mistake Mike Evans made lol. Side note the Brady giving his hat to the kid in the stands near the end of the game is what all these guys should be doing.  Respect to Brady on that one.

Does anyone notice how good this rookie is?

‘I’m taking him every time’: Kings rookie Davion Mitchell is already turning heads

I like this guy and for me, he is my best bet to win as the rookie of the year.
He is still a rookie but he is a good defender, I was watching the highlights against the Utah Jazz and I saw how he was able to put a lockdown kind of defense on Clarkson and Mitchell, actually, they are not related to Donovan but this guy is really exciting to watch for.

It's too early to tell but I also believe that he is a good steal by the Sacramento Kings and the failing career of Luke Walton, that's what I read online. I also watch his highlights and he is playing with high confidence, and with that, it's very exciting to watch him play and I hope that he will remain healthy all throughout the season.

Yeah he is pretty decent but we are only a couple games in.  Evan mobely will be a double double machine.  And when cade gets healthy he is going to get a lot of minutes and be the focus of the offense so he will have a lot of opportunities.  My dark horse is chris duarte to compete for Roy too.

The odds was +3500 for Chris Duarte winning the ROY.

The top favorite based on the betting odds is Jalen Green with +200, while Davion Mitchell is +1800.
Both Davion Mitchell and  Chris Duarte have wonderful odds but check the ranking now and see who is more consistent.

https://hashtagbasketball.com/nba-rookie-rankings

Yeah duarte needs to bring his % up a bit.  Look out for scottie Barnes too he will get a lot of burn this year and the kid has game that transitions well in the NBA.

Jalen green will be fine but will take him so.e time to figure it all out.  He is a bit inefficient right now.

At +3500 I might take a stab at that.  He will have the points to compete for it, it will just be determined on how efficient he is.  Splashy offensive numbers wins ROY awards.  Nothing else really gets baked in.
