3621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to access a bitcoin address through a private key? on: January 27, 2020, 01:03:31 PM
1. Download Electrum from the official website.
2. Create a standard wallet.
3. Sweep the funds by going to Wallet - private keys - sweep and then paste the private key.

Or, if you prefer using a mobile wallet, you can download Mycelium and follow the instructions given on this video.

I PM'ed him and hopefully, he'll get back to one of us. It might take some time though since he hasn't been online for a few days.
3623  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to remove additional Commission? on: January 26, 2020, 04:24:28 PM
I haven't done the transaction yet. And if I disable it, will the Commission be taken in the future?

You won't need to pay any extra fees if you disable the 2FA. You can easily do that by simply restoring your wallet using your seed.

I wouldn't recommend doing that though, especially if you have a large amount stored in that wallet.
3624  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinsbee.com - Buy gift cards with about 50 crypto currencies! on: January 26, 2020, 09:15:09 AM
The shopping cart button is there. You don't need to buy another product to go to the shopping cart.

It's barely noticeable. It would be better to move it to the top of the page (header) where the 'Buy now' button is located. That's where everyone expects it to be anyway.

A few more suggestions (some time-consuming ones):

- Account registration/login system. Don't make it required though. People should still be able to buy gift cards even if they don't make an account.
- User panel (My orders, saved/bookmarked GCs, etc.)
- After implementing the above, make an app.
- Holding a GC for users: since you have limited stock for gift cards, it could be a good idea to add this feature. Basically, If a user is logged-in and adds a GC to his cart/bag, it should be held for him for an hour before being removed.
- Use checkboxes to filter. Ability to choose multiple 'brands' or 'regions' in one search.

I also found a bug with the filtering system, here is one way (out of many) to reproduce it:

1. Go to the shop.
2. Choose any region from the filter (say the 'Levant' region) and a brand ('CashU')
3. Go back to click 'All' in the region. You'll notice that the filter brand will change to 'All' as well.

The problem: No worldwide GCs will show, and all regions will disappear from the list. To get it to work, you'll have to choose another brand and then choose 'All' again. In other words, when you change the region to 'All' (in #3), the brand is not really changing from 'CashU' to 'All' even though it shows otherwise.

Also, if you're interested in supporting more languages, I could help translating your website to Arabic and/or French. (free of charge)
3625  Economy / Services / Re: I'm providing Skrill and neteller escrow on: January 25, 2020, 05:57:19 PM
What's the point of using an escrow with reversible payment methods though? It might help when both parties refuse to go first but it would be useless afterward, as the risk of chargeback remains.
3626  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 3 Reasons You Need to Own a Crypto Card in 2020 on: January 24, 2020, 01:52:02 PM
To be honest, I've never liked the idea of crypto-cards. I believe they just profit of people that want to seem advanced, using crypto-currencies to pay for everyday items, and their cards are essentially the same as having a special "black" card, and there is very little actual benefit.

3. Regular MasterCard/visa cards are accepted worldwide as well. This isn't really a benefit over regular, fiat currencies/cards.
2. Same point as number 3.
1. Okay, fair.

Explain to me, why everyone should pay extra fees to utilise their crypto? Why not sell it and load up your bank account. You save money (even with shitty spreads) that way.

It only takes a few seconds to load your debit card while it takes 2-5 days to sell your crypto to your bank account. Not to mention that selling your crypto is not as easy as it is in Europe or the U.S.

Still, it just seems like most of the people don't mind throwing crypto's main features (being your own bank, low fees, and pseudonymity) out of the window if it means they'll gain speed and convenience in return.

3629  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to buy bitcoin with PayPal in 2020 [NEW] on: January 23, 2020, 03:50:17 PM
A very detailed article, good job! I suggest you add LocalCryptos to the list as well, it's a great alternative for Paxful and LBC (no KYC).

Also, I understand that this might be a sponsored article, but I'm not sure how for a website that charges 12.5% fees be "one of the best ways" to buy bitcoin. Magnatus should be removed.
3630  Other / Archival / Re: CryptoHopper - Updated GUI Trading Bot! Free 30 days license on: January 23, 2020, 03:29:31 PM
Why does the link appear to indicate a scam/phishing link? Can you prove the relationship between https://thecryptohopper Dot com and https://www.cryptohopper.com/?
I checked the company and it appears to be real, but the site above gives incorrect information. Can you confirm the link? Social media refer to that site and not the site mentioned in this topic.

It's clearly a scam. Some red flags:

1. The domain name is 1-day old (registered on NameCheap) where CryptoHopper uses TransIP (928 days old).
2. This website uses Sectigo for its SSL certificate, while the real one uses Cloudflare.
3. OP has been inactive for 1.5 months prior to posting this.

I've also made an account on the real website and then tried to log on to this website using the same credentials, that didn't work (not even an error message).
3631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest method receive Neteller Unknown people on: January 22, 2020, 05:48:04 PM
Just make sure to ask for the source of funds. If the money originally came from a credit card, bank account or any other reversible payment, you'll be at risk. However, if the funds came from Bitcoin, or from another Neteller user, you should be safe.

I can vouch for Shasan if you're looking for someone to trade with (I've dealt with him multiples times): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5102555.0
3632  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: January 22, 2020, 05:40:13 PM
Hi,

I work with PayGlobal, we are a FCA licensed entity from London. We provide crypto linked debit cards (Mastercard and UnionPay), IBAN accounts, US VAN accounts and on platform crypto to fiat conversions.

Please contact me on Telegram for any requirements (@parth_agarwal)

payglobal.me

Hi, It could be a solution, but because you are a London company, your cards are only in GBP, or do you also offer cards with other fiat currencies?

It says on the website that they support USD/EUR only but IMO, If you're thinking of using their services though, I suggest you give it a second thought because except for a few articles[1][2][3] that were all published on the same date, they have no online presence which is very strange for a service that existed for over a year.

If the debit card is all you're interested in, there are much better and more reliable services out there.

3633  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalBitcoins and Tier verification's on: January 22, 2020, 04:11:05 PM
i think i traded too much..

-snip-

now i cant trade anymore..

i am since august trying to verify to tier 3..

Use the website suggested above, you won't have to go through any verification.

The liquidity may not be as high as Paxful's or LBC's but that shouldn't be problematic as long as you're sticking to payment methods that everyone uses (SEPA, PayPal, Skrill etc.)
3634  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: open dime on: January 22, 2020, 03:10:28 PM
Thank so much for helpful answers to all replies. Smiley Thanks for the link link from [ bitmaxz ] to set up electrum wallet. So ,if this is also helpful to others ,it seems to me that SAMOURAI wallet is good for moving/using small amounts of bitcoin/crypto but ELECTRUM is the best/most secure way for larger amounts . thanks again .

That's only valid if you're using Electrum with your Nano S device. If you're not, then it really doesn't make that much difference.
3635  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Vault query! on: January 21, 2020, 04:47:56 PM
You can delete the vault and create a new one but If you have funds in your vault, then it's not possible to do it on your own, you'll have to wait for the support's response.
3636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: January 21, 2020, 04:17:52 PM
Added all the mentioned exchanges to the list. Thanks, everyone!

OP does coinswitch.co also fall in this category of instant exchanges? If it does then here are the details:

Not sure. Mind explaining how does the exchange exactly works? It looks more of a search engine.

I can see that whenever you choose the pairs you want to trade, a list of exchanges is given to you. Do they buy the crypto from these exchanges using their accounts API and then re-sell it on their platform?

I was looking for exchanges that sell RDD, as there aren't that many these days and I came across Changeangel, which is an instant exchange.  I've used them about four times in the past month and have had no problems.  No KYC is required.

I've listed them but do they have any threads on the forums? I couldn't find any.
3637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the ways i can cash out Bitcoin in another country? on: January 21, 2020, 09:01:02 AM
If you are going as a tourist, and for a short period of time, then you have a couple of options:

- Order a bitcoin debit card prior to traveling.
- P2P trading using PayPal or Skrill (make sure they're linked with your Visa card so you can withdraw).

I'm pretty sure we could help you more if you share with us more details (your current location, where are you headed and whether you have a student/work permit or simply a touristic visa).
3638  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: how to read blockexplorer on: January 20, 2020, 04:49:55 PM
Thank you so much for this! this make much more sense to me now!

just a note,   the transaction fees are for the overall block, right? is there a transaction fee for each one of the transactions? how do I know how much each transaction costed me?

while doing some research and testing, I have found that blockchain.info have a different way to represent the same transactions.... see below...

https://blockchain.info/rawaddr/1GB2CgZ9a4yXFaaN2YfmTKuhZbomkpUfbH

would anybody know why I cannot frn the transaction fees on blockchain.info?

if you would choose a reliable service, which one would you choose? (to read balance, transactions and transactions fee)

thank you all

No, the fees are for a single transaction.

I've only shown you the fees for #0 (the last transactions). If you check the JSON of transaction #0, you'll notice a fees field at the very bottom as I showed in the first post:

As you can see, it says 0.0000026 BTC.

Now if you check your address at any block explorer, you'll see that the same fees are being shown:

But since Blockexplorer API appears to be down at the moment:

Code:
Backend Error. Bitcoin JSON-RPC: Request Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND tasks.bitcoind tasks.bitcoind:8332

And Blockchain.com API doesn't show the fees either, I would suggest you take a look at BTC.com API.
3639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin: virtual credit card on: January 20, 2020, 01:16:35 PM
The best solution would be to use AdvCash if you're from the EU, Turkey, Israel or Russia. If you're not, and you don't need a reloadable card, and your purchases never exceed 50-100 EUR then I suggest you check Coinsbee's virtual cards.

Alternatively, there is Localcoin. The card is only available for Canadians, but ID verification is not required for the virtual cards.
3640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please guide - Want to know what section should I post on: January 20, 2020, 11:59:20 AM
If these websites are bitcoin services, then you could post it on the Service discussion section.

Try to read the description of each section next time, that should tell you which section is more suitable.
