seems to me bitstamp likes dropping over rising

It's just that the Dwolla users + the extra paranoid want to cash out through Bitstamp while avoiding Gox - that's why the ask sum went down so deeply at Gox, while increased sharply at Bitstamp.

Just check Bitstamp's selling pressure, crazy shit:

Looks like good shit

Only a) tomato sauce (home made, not that shit that comes in cans), b) Mozzarella cheese (it has to be Mozzarella and only Mozzarella) and c) basil. The ingredients (including the pizza base) are so tasty and so good that you need nothing else on it. Just the opposite with Pizza Hut, you need to throw at it as many ingredients and heavy sauces as possible to cover that shitty taste.

True, this is why most of the people do not have A LOT of money in one drawer in their houses unless they have some REAL security. Most of the people have 95% of their money in banks, security boxes, etc.

True, but the problem is that nothing in Bitcoin clients facilitates this.

Just a rough example: there can be a popup window saying "You are storing 1000 BTC on unencrypted wallet. Do you want to transfer them to a paper wallet and print 10 copies of it?" with buttons, "Yes", "No", "Remind me later". And yet again: this is for regular users. Advanced users always can turn it off.

This is a very old debate. Use the search. We all know that Bitcoin is not noob friendly. Your grandma won't even be able to understand it. But, it's still improving with time, step by step.

And yes, devs know this and they are trying to find the best ways to improve both user-friendliness and Bitcoin-QT built in security.

That's not Pizza they sell at Pizza hut. It's baked dough with things on it, but not a pizza. So how can I order a Pizza for you from Pizza hut, when they don't sell pizza.

It tastes great, whatever pizza is supposed to be should be that.

Geez, if you think that shit is good go visit Naples (Italy), and then tell us your experience

This is the good real homemade shit, and not that crap at Pizza Hut

This whole debate is stupid, you shouldn't rely on the bitcoin client's encryption anyway. It could have bugs or backdoors or who knows what. The only way to truly be safe is to generate your transactions offline.

I don't want to be sarcastic but this is the same is:

This whole debate is stupid, you shouldn't rely on the doors in your home anyway. It could be lockpiced or just broken or who knows what.

I just gave a quick look at your post history, and sadly I have to say that you are really THAT stupid.

You should ask yourself why you decided to sell. You say you bought some of them at 2$. That indicates you have been here for a while, at least longer than I have.

Did you somehow stop believing in the future of Bitcoin? Was it just a panic atac? Try to pinpoint the feelings that triggered your decision and make a mental note of them, and be alert next time those thoughts come into your brain.

At least I can consider the money lost a part of my financial education Smiley

edit: maybe i should try to recover my losses with satoshi dice?

Again: you want to "recover" your losses with a rigged game, created for you to always lose if you play long enough?

As a general advice: stop thinking you will make money quickly and easily. That's not happening, that's a delusion - are you delusional? Don't listen to the stories of those that say that had huge wins with speculative investments, gambling and whatnot, because half of them are hugely exaggerating (typical of delusional behaviour), and the other half just omit the huge losses they incurred in previous operations/gambles.

And goes without saying that losers, which are more than winners, simply do not like to tell their experience.

The only way to make real money that it won't go away as fast as it came is to work your ass off. Stick that into your mind bro, and stop gambling or go broke.

I'm sorry you are suffering from compulsive addictive behavior Sad That must be hard for you Sad

Compulsive addictions, be it compulsive gambling, smoking, drugs, ... are a coping method to feel better. Ask yourself if you feel bad/unhappy in your soul. Why? What are you missing in your life? Did u have a healthy upbringing with enough support, care, warmth, love? How are the people close in your life treating you?

Check freedomainradio and IFS therapy.

I'm missing 20 btc in my life.

I can guarantee you will miss more money if you keep gambling.

Forget about gambling - it's stupid and pointless. There's no point in it - it's just sheer luck, and it is never "fair", because the house has an edge, which mean that they always win.

Look at it this way: you have to be very dumb to risk your money on a game that you will always lose, if you play it long enough. Are you so dumb? Are you really SO DUMB?

Ask to you that question, and act accordingly.
3635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hacked and stolen on: May 17, 2013, 02:27:00 PM
The problem about paperwallet bitcoins is that to use them you need to get the private key on a pc. And if it is not offline, you risk to lose everything no matter what.

The only safe way is to have an OFFLINE computer, create a transaction on it and then copy the transaction on the online computer.

That's exactly what I do.
Really I don't need a paper wallet because I have a OFFLINE computer, but I always like to go the extra step.

you still have a $1,000 daily limit with that, you need some notoarized crap to raise it

If you are verified you can submit a support request an increase to your daily limit up to $10,000 per day (no notarized crap required).  You are still subject to a $50,000 monthly limit though.

The notarized/apostilled docs are required to move the $50,000 monthly limit up to $500,000.

This is exactly how it is. Big money already has their "notarized crap" done and uses wire transfers. Dwolla is for small fishes.

Without notarizing anything you can still get $10k per day and $50k per month

Who received those notes from the government on April 10th? I missed that.

Different situation - same result.  The insider info that wasn't shared was the CoinLab/Gox deal falling apart, and the attendant lawsuit.

Source? Proof?

Good time to buy SDICE shares.

Quote
“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”

Well according to the crowdsourced wisdom in the other thread the right time to buy a stock is when it's expensive and the right time to sell it is when it's cheap.

Before you laugh, this is in point of fact exactly the advice "financial advisors" were even recently giving their well paying, high powered customers such as Stanford etc.
[/quote]

I'm no professional trader, but I always follow the same simple strategy: I buy during panic sell offs caused by negative news (eg, Dwolla/MtGox situation, the block chain fork, etc. ) and I sell when others panic buy or when all the market is uber bullish

Sure, to catch the very bottom and the very top you need to be lucky and most times it does not happen, but this very simple strategy worked wonders for me, not only in the BTC world.

I bought BlackBerry stocks when everybody was saying they were dead, and I sold all my holdings during the rally prior of the official presentation of BB10, making 300% profits.

Me he quedado helado. Ánimo paraipan, de esta saldrás más fuerte!
