3621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 03, 2022, 01:38:12 PM
This is what we call "greediness" because you really want to get back your losses. I think this is really common. I also double my bet when I notice that I am doing this, but the strategy that works for me is to walk away, like take a walk or drive my motorcycle just to have a break and also think clearly because it is really difficult in this situation. I also got empty handed in betting because of trying to win back my losses. I know it is difficult to control, but it works best when you take a break. Just walk away immediately and don't look back.
3622  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: May 03, 2022, 12:42:59 PM
I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Color Game. It is like you need to bet on a specific color. It only has 6 colors to bet on and there are 3 cubes with multiple colors that you need to bet. Your money will be doubled if one cube is match in your bet (if 3 cubes are the same color as your bet, you will win 3 times). I know some of you are familiar with this and also, I just saw an app  of this but haven't found so far as I know that there is online betting about this. This game is really simple and fun for me and I really like simple games that you can win also easily.

3623  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: May 03, 2022, 08:02:37 AM
The best money management strategy is not to invest/trade without having the knowledge required to do so, diversification would not even help without knowledge, because you can diversify and still buy and trade with coins or assets that you shouldn't. So the first step in money management should be research that would build knowledge in order to make the right choices.

I don't know but if we talk money management you should already have knowledge on it because that is why money management is that how do you manage when you lose your money , until when you will be staying or stop loss or if what is your target profit so that you will say your money is safe . Yes research is required but there are ton of aspects need to check on this first is you capital and also how volatile you are investing on. But if we are talking money management it should be you have known to invest/trade.
3624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid to buy Bitcoin in its bearish state? on: May 03, 2022, 05:22:39 AM
Buying is always best done during the most bearish of states and selling during the most bullish of states. Bear season is actually buying season. So instead of being fearful, people should be stoked that they are given an opportunity to buy low, to buy Bitcoin at a discounted price. Others would think it is irresponsible to recommend buying during the red days in the market. But when is the better time? When the price has already recovered?

The best time to buy bitcoin is when it is cheap during the bear times. I do not understand why people do not want to buy bitcoin when it is cheap. These people buy bitcoin near the all time high when they have the fear of missing out. This is the wrong approach. If anyone wants to accumulate bitcoin, this is another good time to do the dollar cost average.

Agree to this . The best example with this is sales on the mall that is like 50% off which means a lot of people will buy because its on sale , meaning also of this they are really aware of its price that is why they are really buying it and also others will do buy and sell of this that is how they are really illiterate in buying sales but when it comes to bitcoin it is really opposite that they dont buy when its on red days this means that they really dont know bitcoin is . If i do have  spare money i will really buy bitcoin in small bits
3625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay for coffee with Bitcoin on: May 03, 2022, 02:16:24 AM
The success of your business will depend on the general adoption of Bitcoin and how customers will be ready to pay with Bitcoin if cheaper and faster than using fiat since you accept both.
But the problem is? are we really willing to pay for coffee using bitcoin ? i will be truth here and the answer i? nope I  will never consider my Bitcoin to remain in my wallet than to spend in using for coffee.
I trust bitcoin to stay longer in my position because i know that i will make more money in holding than using this just for small things.
Yeah I better reserve my Bitcoin and make use of faint currency is the need be since Bitcoin worth more than just spending it on a cup of coffee, in other news Bitcoin adoption is a good move that can improve the general perspective.
Lol, I don't understand your point because paying a cofee with bitcoin is not a bad thing, and it should only be fiat because btc is only for investment purposes.Lol, this is why Bitcoin was created in the first place; you haven't considered a broader application of this because it means that a broader adoption of this is imminent, as well as the future, in which only digital payments will be accepted.
3626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto profits on: May 02, 2022, 04:30:55 PM
When I make a profit from crypto, I reinvest some of the proceeds, for the other part I buy for needs that really help me work in the crypto world itself and don't forget to set aside to save as an emergency fund when I really need it later. For the latter (saving for an emergency fund) it's something I have to do when I have more than enough money. Because it will really help me in the future.

Mostly this is done to those who earn crypto. Same with me, but not all the time. There are times that I really need money, so I need to get some money from my crypto savings, but mostly I do use it to buy more coins, mostly those that have potential to increase in price. As for myself, I did not invest my own money to purchase an altcoin (that is really from my pocket); instead, I earned it online or here  in forum, so whether I win or lose, it is still a win-win situation for me.

3628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the $500 for? NFT or Coin! on: April 30, 2022, 02:42:30 PM
if you want to choose, I recommend just buying altcoins and don't buy NFT if you don't want to lose,
indeed NFT is something new and interesting, but if you know that NFT is not for investment but for a utility,
for example a project with play to earn makes NFT for characters , of course it's just for playing games,
but coins is more than that, you can buy coins and invest there, so choose coins.
if we have no knowledge about NFT trading or investment better to avoid , we dont know what actually market need for NFT so careless about trend will make us loss. meanwhile in altcoin trading its be common thing in market and relativelly easy to follow. maybe it research be easier than NFT project.

Nah, both of them are difficult. Because both of them require research. You are like pointing out that it is far more difficult than investing, which is false because there are a lot of new coins these days that are launching, same with NFT. Without proper research, you'll end up losing. Both are difficult. No one is easy, but if I am a newbie and want to invest, I would invest in bitcoin primary and NFT since they are trending now because it is easier to find NFT than altcoins that are very volatile.
3629  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: April 30, 2022, 10:27:31 AM
Climate change does not have anything to do with bitcoin volatility,  climate change can happen to be natural and sometimes it is caused by the activities of individuals by burning of natural resources which can cause pollutant to the environment that can affect human being. It  can be a problem to business people health  in the environment , so I think bad climate change can affect economy of a business somehow,  but can't affect bitcoin.

mining Bitcoin can also cause climate change if they are not using renewable energy or the devices used for it. Because there is only a limited span of time for it, you'll need to change it. But most of the mining now is really into renewable energy to save some money to mine bitcoin. I think all of the things can cause climate change because this needs to be done by, like in trading Bitcoin, the servers of the platform also contribute to climate change.

3630  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: April 30, 2022, 08:13:51 AM
If we invest with a large nominal of course the most important thing is saving, but if we only use a little money then the most important thing is the hope for big profits, crypto is a type of investment that is high risk, price increases and decreases can occur tens of percent per day, the most important thing before Getting into crypto is understanding the risks.

It doesn't matter how large or small your investment is as long as you're satisfied with your return on your investment. It's true that not everyone has the means to invest large amounts of money; therefore, small profits are a blessing because they can be accumulated over time and result in substantial earnings. If you have the ability to invest large amounts of money, your return will be significantly higher if you do not lose your money.
3631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistake I made till now investing on crypto projects. on: April 29, 2022, 05:15:30 PM
The team member for my opinion doesn't really become the most important thing than the project itself and again to where that the project is listing. For the team member, they may bring the name of important person but the person not aware of that. They put the names on white paper but white paper is fake and scam. Concentrating on the project I think is better.

Agreed, you have a point. It's like having a celebrity on their WP but that celebrity doesn't really know the project well; it's just like having flowers all over it. However, if you have a reputable team member, such as he/she has previous experience on a successful project, then it's a plus. However, if the project is not supported in the long run, it will be down. Now scammers are really efforting, like hiring famous people to advertise their scam projects, which leads to a lot of people getting scammed. We should look out for that.
3632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow my wallet? on: April 29, 2022, 12:33:22 PM
Assuming I've made up my mind to hold on to a token for many years but after a year this token hit a new ATH what should I do as a newbie? Sell or not sell?
it depends on how your target is to make a profit. If you currently hold enough tokens for your profit target, selling it is the best decision. But, if you just hold the coin without any future targets, it will just be in vain, because any coin has a life in its development, very few coins can make it big in the future, because the market also always has changing seasons. So, first determine how you are targeting your profit, to decide whether to stay or sell it.

Yes, there are coins that die after a few years, but there are also coins that continue to rise because they have made developments of it. The best time to sell is when the ATH hits, but this still depends on your preference because if the ATH hits and you need money at that time, I would recommend selling; however, if the ATH does not hit and you need money at that time, I would recommend holding; however, if there is still promising development in the future, I would recommend selling and investing in another coin.
3633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Saved Me. on: April 29, 2022, 11:46:35 AM
After I lost my money on different investments, I was devasted but was introduced to crypto. I had no money but somehow I learnt a little on how to trade on Bitcoin. To my surprise, the little I learnt, I decided to start with 2,000NGN as that was all I had. To my surprise, following the guide I was given and with consistency, I started making profit from my trades and that brought smiles to my face. With Bitcoin, I have been able to recover thrice the money I lost to investments. Crypto (Bitcoin) is the way forward.

Wow, that is an incredible story. I believe this was a trading story, but using bitcoin. Well, this appears to be simple and straightforward, but I know you've been through a lot and are still suffering from some losses. Trading is extremely difficult to learn and requires patience, so I am extremely pleased that you are still trading and earning profits from it, as not everyone is. For example, I lost a lot of money when I first started trading, which was my mistake because it was one of the most common mistakes made by newbies, but I learned from my mistakes and was able to earn profits later on.
3634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto profits on: April 29, 2022, 02:31:26 AM
Guys, how do you use your crypto profits? Well I started investing in crypto last year but still to earn that much profits. How about you all?

Well, I just re-use it like I was using it to add to my capital and invest more. Before I discovered bitcoin, I was looking for an online job or any investment that didn't require a capital, or if it did, I needed to earn it first. So now I see bitcoin, I don't have money at the time, so what I've done is do faucets and make graphic designs paid in Bitcoin, also I joined the signature campaign, which my earnings on that is I save it to invest to other crypto or join ICO to earn more.
3635  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: April 28, 2022, 05:26:55 PM
I don't know how you've thought of that OP, bitcoin is still doing just fine when it comes to it's purpose, bitcoin's still doing what it was at first, a lot of people still use bitcoin to do transaction for products and services so I don't see how bitcoin's lose it's purpose.
We should determine what are its purposes first.
As long as it's fully decentralized, it won't lose its purposes until we decide it. At extreme case, an alternative to bitcoin from potential alts may replace it for technical reasons maybe (far to be true), but even though, this wouldn't mean that Bitcoin lose its purposes.
I myself have not been able to find the specific biggest purpose of bitcoin. But in my opinion bitcoin has exceeded its initial goal in other words it has achieved its main goal even more than that. If so, I'm sure the main creators are also targeting a new goal to get bitcoin even more in demand. Yes, although it is still a mystery who the person behind all this is, but I really enjoy this.

Just to refresh your memory, the original purpose of bitcoin was to reduce the fees charged by other online money senders because, at that time, sending money required a huge fees as well as time, and it was also not real-time and difficult to track. That was the purpose before, but as the years went by, it became an investment or an asset that owning one could earn you more money and also make you rich. But the purpose of it is still there, but now the most important thing about it is its value. That can help a lot of people to earn money.
3636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 28, 2022, 11:35:40 AM
it is like hiring a celebrity to advertise your casino.

Except that most managers here in the forum know what they're doing and are very good at it. They're not only for the exposure of the platform, they're there to help you manage and run things on the advertisement side while you run things in the platform.

it is like hiring a celebrity to advertise your casino.
Also having a campaign manager could also boost your reputation on your new casinos . People here in forum doesn't really trust immediately to newly lunch casinos so if you have reputable signature campaign manager could be good to build trust

It can, yes, though some managers may even be the reason for the downfall of the platform. If the manager deem that the platform/service is untrustworthy, they may speak against the platform and distance themselves on the said platform. In order to gain trust, it's not enough to hire a trusted manager; you must also be trustworthy yourself. Managers only boost confidence on the platform, but it is the platform/service's job to establish their reputation around the forum.

You have a point, but it is a good start with this. Having a reputation now is difficult because you know a lot of new casinos and a lot of scammers that are really making an effort to scam people. My point was that this was a good start to hiring a reputable manager to manage the sig campaign to promote the casino, which can add reputation to your casino. There are still instances that it gets scammed, but this is kind of rare because having a signature campaign and hiring a manager costs a lot of money.
3637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: April 28, 2022, 08:11:00 AM
This is similar to an airdrop, correct? which you can earn money from, but the majority of them are a waste of time. ..

This is similar to airdrop only in that you can get free coins for doing work that is related to testing a new platform. To do this, the platform provides you with free test coins that cannot be sold outside the test network. One of the last profitable Testnet was for the Umee project, whose testers received from 600 to 3 thousand dollars from one wallet.

Ohh okay, this was kind of new to me. I thought this was really an airdrop. I will kind of explore more of this and am hoping that I will get lucky and find a successful or promising testnet project. The 3K is really big if the project is successful. But how long did the project run? I will research it to know more about this. This is where I will start.
3638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Crypto to the wrong address on: April 27, 2022, 04:43:21 PM
We're developing something to reduce human error in crypto transactions, especially those in which some mistake was made when writing the receiver address.
We don't need that.
If you write an address manually and make a mistake, it's almost impossible that it's a valid address and your wallet or the service you are using won't allow you to make transaction.

Yeah, agree, and who is going to input the address manually? It is too long and it is better to copy and paste it, then triple check it by looking again at the address. Lol it hasn't happened to me that I sent it to the wrong address because I always double-check if it is the correct address before sending. Also, I'm not sure if this is useful to me if you are developing something to reduce the error because every time I send crypto I am comfortable with it and also because there are QR codes now it is easier to send.
3639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: April 27, 2022, 02:34:31 PM
...I came there to get some advice from people. ..

Now Testnet is especially popular, where you can get free coins for completing test tasks in new projects. But you should not expect a quick result, as a rule, you will receive coins a few months after the completion of the Testnet, besides, not all projects can be paid for.

This is similar to an airdrop, correct? which you can earn money from, but the majority of them are a waste of time. I recall the days when all airdrops were gold and you could earn a sufficient amount of money from them, but now there are only a few and it takes months or years for them to gain value. Faucets are also a good source of cryptocurrency, but it takes a lot of effort and time to accumulate enough coins to convert to fiat. Without capital, it's extremely difficult to get started. What I recommend is that you save more money and then invest it in crypto to earn money.
3640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 27, 2022, 12:01:01 PM

Also..... Casinos that cannot even afford to hire a Signature Campaign manager, will raise the red flags with me.  Roll Eyes
I'd rather have a reputable campaign manager run my advertising campaign than running it on my own even If I have to escrow the funds. Running it with a manager is totally different than running it on your own.

I agree, it is like hiring a celebrity to advertise your casino. I know you can run the signature campaign on your own, but still, this is difficult to manage because you have other things to do. These expenses should be added to your promotion expenses since the signature campaign is really good for newly opened casinos. Also having a campaign manager could also boost your reputation on your new casinos . People here in forum doesn't really trust immediately to newly lunch casinos so if you have reputable signature campaign manager could be good to build trust
