3621  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just in - Bitcoin at $15 000 on: November 06, 2020, 12:39:14 AM
There seem to be more speculators with Bitcoin, and reaching an ATH is a sign that this year is different from last year. Almost all of the HODLERS may be happy with this, but it's still not yet the time they would sell, IMO. Reaching the $430 billion market cap is exciting. It's going to increase more for sure. Hopefully.

You're awesome! Finally, that's the dream, right? It's well deserved for sure. It's nice of you to share your experience here. I do think newbies ”might” see it, but at least it's here to be read. If there some newbies posting in the Beginners section about how hard to get the merit or to rank up, I will include the link to this topic so they could get inspired, like the purpose of this thread is.

Congratulations again!
3623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 04, 2020, 04:54:13 PM
There are more to trading with just the value of Bitcoin. There are multiple ways that you could potentially lose money.
  • Trading with different coins and those coins losing in value
  • Trading a position that is against the market flow
  • Closing a position in a loss
  • Many people choose to trade against it

Holding Bitcoin and just buying it is not the ”whole” trading experience is not how you would become a ”trader.” it's not easy to predict what could happen to the market, but you have different chances of profiting every time. Traders should be consistent.
3624  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Website for creating graphics for Bitcointalk on: November 04, 2020, 03:19:53 PM
If you are a student or you have an organizational email with .edu at the end, most likely you could be part of an organization with possible free Canva Premium (if your organization avails it) or get a discount since it is for people in the academic field, whether you're a student or a faculty member.

Most templates are great already for different kinds of stuff. You just have to look at what's best for you.
3625  Other / Archival / Re: Hong Kong bans retail trading of digital currencies on: November 04, 2020, 12:54:16 PM
Most of the people there are probably using Cryptocurrencies to avoid taxes. Knowing that they have something against the government there, I remember an article in which they use it for funding rallies and make even more noise to stop the government. They are probably working on now to eradicate those types of sources and regulate everything.

Anybody from Hong Kong that resides there, and how is it going with the crypto life there?
3626  Economy / Services / Re: Need help growing your user-base for your project? 🚀 Click here! on: November 03, 2020, 04:55:36 PM
How would this be different from everyday bounty hunters doing their tweets and retweets daily for a reward? Bounty hunters have accounts with a large number of followers. I don't know why yours should be any different, and having multiple users would have a more significant impact.

Maybe you could show benefits or results of the things you have given influence on.
3627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How about day trading Eth? on: November 03, 2020, 04:18:44 PM
Honestly, doing it consistently would be hard. It's going to be an emotional ride whenever it comes away out of your favor. It's going to need a mental discipline in which you would continue your trading without getting carried away. It’s essential for your goal.

One good thing is to have a goal per day in which you could trade and many hours of it too. For the best experience of trading, I still believe that using a trading bot like Gunbot would be beneficial.
3628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a bounty manager on: November 03, 2020, 03:51:32 PM
There are posts from bounty managers here in the forum in the service section.

You could check the topics there for possible people who can handle your requirements. For sure, there would be capable members here to help you. Make sure to check trusts in their profile, etc.
3629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on Track for USD 100,000 in 2025 on: November 03, 2020, 03:27:40 PM
I don't know but adding the name Bloomberg + Intelligence makes a convincing argument about BTC price. Lol.  Cheesy

Kidding aside, I'm all in for the optimism in the possible future of bitcoin. If it goes to 100k per coin, why not? If it becomes 1K, it's ok as well. A lot of people are counting on its price to become stable but we will see. It's still hard to determine what comes next but as long as you are investing on it, why not?

Speculation is speculation.
3630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Halving means boost to Zcash? on: November 03, 2020, 09:35:34 AM
I do think that it will only increase the price in the short term, just like what NeuroticFish said. I remember that LTC had a halving last year, and it seems not to have increased price in the longer term. Of course, there was an increase in price with altcoins this year, but it went down when we experienced the pandemic. It's tough to say the possible increase/decrease of a coin, but we will notice once there would be a significant impact on the price for sure.
3631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mobile wallet for newbies? on: November 03, 2020, 07:09:47 AM
If they are in it for the long run, I think they should just invest in a hardware wallet and understand why it is important to have the hardware wallet. The key thing here is you own the coins and you value your private keys and know how to use the basic features on the application.

Remember, nobody is a newbie forever, and if they are interested, they should learn why it is essential to have their wallet. Maybe you could help them out, OP.
3632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela to incorporate Bitcoin and litecoin wallets into national remittances on: November 03, 2020, 12:27:44 AM
It's great that they decided to extend Their reach to this type of incorporation of cryptocurrencies. Their systems might not need this, but at least somehow, they would be able to see the transactions that are happening. I hope they know how to sign messages and verify the addresses they are using.

It might not happen too. There is no date yet on the said incorporation.
3633  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold seller JM Bullion hacked to steal customers' credit cards on: November 02, 2020, 03:57:56 PM
I hope everyone affected by this hack will get verified and immediately call their respective banks to cancel their credit cards. I didn't know that they would keep data about their payment information? Like they store what they initially receive when typed on their website? This is one reason I like to use PayPal because You will Not input Any sensitive information anymore. It should be standard practice to be aware of possible hacks that could occur around you. It's relatively easy if you make an effort.

I doubt this will affect the market of Gold, though?
3634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Airdrops, don't waste time with others on: November 02, 2020, 11:42:10 AM
How does this qualify as a legitimate airdrop? Does it have to include your own coin and be invested in that? Does it seem that you need to be a holder first to earn those "quality coins"?

Mostly all I have read with the recent airdrops and almost all airdrops sucks. It's a token that wouldn't have any value towards anything.
3635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggest the best strategy on: November 02, 2020, 01:00:29 AM
If you are busy with other stuff and you are only gambling at the side, it's best if you do it on weekends unless you have that ”paid group” that you included in which you could follow their bets. (I suggest you do your analysis than rely on others).

Learn how to outsmart the competition and be consistent once you have decided on your strategy. The important thing is you don't rely on emotions.
3636  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook has banned Bitcoin hashtag on: November 01, 2020, 04:57:19 AM
After searching through Facebook I have seen that it’s not closed or limited to me. I can see the different posts coming from different crypto related pages and it’s not banned or anything Maybe it’s just your location? Because I tried different ways to search for the hashtag and everything seems fine.

Very much disappointed with Facebook once again.
When was the last time you were disappointed about Facebook, OP? And what was it about?
3637  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Who would be interested in Discord accounts? Nitro? ◢ Poll ◤ on: October 31, 2020, 10:42:09 PM
I think this would be ideal if you could somehow make your personal account into nitro with less rate than the original. If it’s another account, i don't think a lot of people would Avail of it. As long as it's legal too.

crwth Ideal idea  Smiley

Maybe I have Nitro reedem codes that you can put into the following field:

Anyone can use such a code on any personal account.
That’s ideal for sure. If you can do that, I will avail that eventually. There are a lot of users who are active in Discord that could probably use that.

3639  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the duck is btc at 13.526,98 USD ? on: October 31, 2020, 01:33:03 AM
If you were in the early stages of Bitcoin, you would have never thought of that about Bitcoin. If you were just recently a part of Bitcoin, are more likely to be surprised by how much volatility it goes through. It's not easy to experience that, but it's part of it. Just like what jackg said, it's speculative.
3640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: October 30, 2020, 02:13:00 PM
If the match I want and I know I'm going to win on, I won't hesitate to transfer my coins to that specific gambling site. Come on, if you know and feel positive about that, why not risk more and believe in what you believed in to do? I think it's better to gamble once you know what you are going into and know the actual match. If not, you might regret it later and wish you have gambled. It's better to risk than to gain nothing doing nothing.
