3641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 25, 2023, 01:53:34 AM
The Suns are saying that they’re targeting Wednesday as the day Kevin Durant may return to the lineup and play in his first home game as a member of the Suns. They are playing a Timberwolves team that has a few players hopefully returning soon as well. I’m hoping that Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant both get to play on Wednesday.
3642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we lived when we had no choice until Bitcoin came on: March 24, 2023, 06:02:21 PM
One of the ways that I've been able to talk older folks into purchasing Bitcoin is to explain to them the problems with central banking.  I give evidence that central banking is the cause of most of our current war problems.  I show them how the government prints money by issuing debt that they will never be able to repay.  I tell them about the crooked things politicians do to stay in power and that the WEF wants us to all have nothing and be happy.  This almost always leads to a single statement by them...

"But what can I do about it?"

The answer.  Buy Bitcoin.
3643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [FUN or not FUN] Diablo IV kills graphics cards on: March 24, 2023, 05:59:23 PM
The stress that new games put on GPUs is more than the cooling of them with default software can handle.  As a miner, I've always been amazed that without tools like Afterburner to control your fan speeds and GPU temps, the default software allows the GPU to get WAY TOO HOT for long periods of use.  Gamers are about to be educated on why they need to have custom fan settings for their GPUs...

I played the Diablo IV demo on my Series X.  No problems.  However, the game is basically the exact same game I played in the mid-90s.  I wasn't impressed at all, but it was just a beta.

Is that really greenpeace artwork 🖼️?

Ya, go get yourself a sticker of their masterpiece.  LOL

https://engage.us.greenpeace.org/PRVBAQyiOk6Y03SS-dA6Dw2

I used a fake number and a PO Box to avoid whatever mass spam campaign they have planned and it seemed to work fine.  We'll see if I get the coveted sticker of death or not.  The crazy thing about the Greenpeace stance is that they assume that energy use is bad and must be restricted, while at the same time mankind is apparently 10 years away from having unlimited clean fusion energy (supposedly if you believe them).  If that is true, then all of this energy conservation stuff is about to be looked at in hindsight as ridiculous.
3645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 24, 2023, 05:36:18 PM
I'm considering maybe betting on the democratic candidate for the election in 2024.  Not because I think they will win, but because if they do win our economy isn't going to survive.  We'll likely be plunged into WWIII against Russia, China, & Iran.  Citizens will become more financially dependent on a government with ever growing debts.  America's dollar will lose it's reserve currency status making our debt even more expensive to service.  Rates will rise across the board and the government will have no choice but to print money like never before, causing a currency crash and misery that hasn't been seen in this country in my lifetime.  I won't even go into how another democrat President will likely mean we'll have 8 year olds dancing drag for transvestites and waitresses being arrested for tax evasion...

So for me it would be a hedge.  The Republican candidate winning would be it's own reward for us all (except pedophiles & those with mental illness).
3646  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't rush life.. on: March 24, 2023, 05:29:32 PM
I think this is a young man's attitude.  If 1992 is your birthday, you are literally in the period of your life that you need to rush life a bit.  You aren't going to live forever and as you age you're going to notice that things you took for granted become much more difficult.  Simple things take much more effort and preparation.  Don't fall into this trap that life is long and you can move slowly through it.  It isn't.  Your youth will be gone in the blink of an eye and someday going for a run around the block will seem like something you wish you had done daily until you were unable to do so anymore.

I say rush life.  Do all the things.  Someday you won't be able to.
3647  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are unvaccinated people purebloods? on: March 24, 2023, 05:26:56 PM
Pureblood is a term from Harry Potter. Its used almost in a racial context to push an agenda similar to white supremacy.

The villains and evil characters in HP are the only ones who refer to themselves as pureblooded.

Ya, hilariously enough the metaphor actually plays better with the vaccinated claiming to be purebloods and trying to demonize and remove anyone from society who isn't.  In reality though, there's enough evidence that shows the people who took the covid vaccine are less protected from covid and are likely to have a myriad of health issues for the rest of the lives as a result.  So while the term purebloods may not fit as a metaphor with relation to the storyline, remove the fantasy storyline and using the term "mudbloods" to describe the vaccinated would seemingly be more appropriate.

3648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greenpeace's latest tirade against Bitcoin, part deux on: March 24, 2023, 04:54:04 PM
Is Ripple still actively donating funds to Greenpeace? If so, I fear the higher the price of Ripple, the more attacks that Bitcoin will face from Greenpeace and likely other organizations will to take a stand against Bitcoin to receive donations from the Ripple team. I think Ripple truly has been one of the worst products to come from this crypto experiment.
3649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 24, 2023, 04:47:39 PM
I think the answer to this concern is to bet on things like sporting events where the only way they can really cheat you is on the odds. Some casinos provide proof of fairness, but 99% of the people who use the casinos have no idea how to verify it anyway. If you’re concerned about being cheated, just bet on public events that you’re happy with the odds and you should be fine.
3650  Economy / Reputation / Re: SBF-Ross Ulbricht on: March 24, 2023, 04:45:46 PM
SBF clearly belongs in prison for the rest of his life. The amount of money he grifted and directed at woke causes while stifling Bitcoin’s price to pump shitcoins is absolutely shocking. It shows the wisdom of these liberal elite college grads who think they know everything. The fact the Ross, a man with actual skills who was promoting freedom is in jail, while SBF who is one of the biggest financial criminals in history sits at home eating Mom’s cooking shows just how crooked the system is and who, particularly SBF’s bought liberal politicians, are willing to sell out the people for their own financial security.
3651  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Wanted to share-The world’s first Bitcoin-themed PEZ dispenser on: March 24, 2023, 04:41:12 PM
I’m not really a collector of anything these days and I’m trying to be more of a minimalist, but I’ve always been fond of PEZ. I’ll admit I considered buying some of these but at $30 a piece I think they’re a bit out of my price range for candy. Still a great find though.

PEZ always reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the piano player and the intervention. Great writing…
3652  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Free Satoshi Skull decal! Greenpeace hit piece.. lol on: March 24, 2023, 04:37:44 PM
Cool find. I’m sure this is the sort of thing that will be sought after by someone someday. For me, they lost me with the phone number requirement. I guess maybe I could try giving them a false number and see what happens. I should probably have a throwaway google number for things like this. Thanks for sharing with the class.
3653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 24, 2023, 06:01:52 AM
^ An important game for them (the Lakers) tomorrow as they go up against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who they are tied with for the last play-in tournament spot along with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers winning this game would give them a little separation and maybe take off a little of the pressure of not making the play-in tournament at least.
3654  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: March 24, 2023, 03:32:26 AM
If you want to talk users into entering honeypots to help them scam others here so you can get a quick buck, that's on you.
You talk a lot about scams, but I see no action. Why didn't you accuse the entire business for scam when it was alive? We have a board for this very reason. Maybe your arguments don't hold water.

I literally did call it a honeypot. I said multiple times it was a money laundering operation. I even came out and said beforehand that it would be shut down and to not use it. I was already being retaliated against by multiple members of their signature campaign in the trust network. I did plenty. Why was I the only one is the better question.
3655  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 24, 2023, 12:02:58 AM
1 million per bitcoin is way too optimistic. I am sure Arthur has some good reasons to think of such a number but for me, it is way to expensive and this price per bitcoin is not justified at all. If this happens then the market cap of bitcoin will reach trillions of dollars which seems next to impossible.

I can bet for 100k per bitcoin in next 5-7 years horizon but 1 million is not possible. Probably in next 25 - 30 years, we will see that but surely not in next 2-3 years timeline like Arthur says.
Too much optimism about the price or way too unrealistic on this kind of approach.Dont know on how these people do make out considerations. Even if we do speak about 2-3 years time
which it is really that impossible if we do look on how fast and slow the price do make out on a particular time frame. It cant really just that possible for those numbers
to be reached in a few times and if we do see on how hard on breaking out those resistances then you would realize that this a level that we cant reach out even on 10 years time.
Somewhat it is really that not impossible but wont really be that short time.

It isn’t as crazy as it sounds when you look at the facts. FTX held down Bitcoin’s price in 2021 by telling customers they owned BTC while they didn’t because the exchange spent their money on shitcoins. This severely depressed the price. My personal projections were for it to hit $200K in 2021 and I believe that would’ve happened without FTX. If it did hit $200K, my prediction for 2025 would have been $800K, so a million isn’t that crazy to those of us who have been around a few cycles.
3656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 24, 2023, 12:00:22 AM
I think it’s been pretty clear that ETH has reigned supreme over altcoins for some time now. However, the decision to move to PoS from PoW took away their miner support and left ETH as not being any more hardened than other altcoins. Some, like Polygon are even more advance while being cheaper and handling more volume. ETH may continue to be the most valuable altcoin, but only because it’s holders are rich enough to keep it that way.
3657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: March 23, 2023, 11:57:45 PM
I’m actually extremely shocked that BNB has managed to hold up in value so well. It is basically the same thing as the FTT token that collapsed FTX but Binance had more legitimate funds which has managed to keep the token afloat so far. I won’t be shocked if CZ has enough money to keep it going, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if BNB is trading at below $10 sometime this year.
3658  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Snoop Dogg x Roobet" | 5 Categories - $7500 in prizes! on: March 23, 2023, 06:06:24 PM
That's a pretty cool contest.  You don't see a whole lot of advertising these days from the Roobet team after the "Roo Team Six" and the Lamborghini incident.  Nice to see them step back into the advertising space with something like this.  Snoop is definitely a much cooler promoter than sixnine (who was in the news yesterday for an incident at his gym where he was jumped in the bathroom by some crazies).  While this might be a step back from the Lamborghini prize, it's still great to see.  Good luck to everyone who is participating.
3659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 23, 2023, 06:00:04 PM

The market got over that rate hike pretty quickly and does appear to be back into rally mode. I’m still expecting we end the month at $30K but we’re running out of time. One good push from here should do it though and with today’s price action I still think it will happen. I think at that point we might start seeing average Joe’s begin to have FOMO.

Gotta stash away all that funny money somewhere. The question is, is the market rallying or is it just number going up? One things for sure, those with connections will be getting out before the rest of us who will be glad we saved our ramen seasoning packets to flavor our 401k statements with.

I think it's clear the market is still rallying.  I come to this conclusion because if you look at the action yesterday with the price, there was a ton of volume sending it downward, which the market absorbed, and then a much smaller amount of volume sent it right back up to where it was.  This shows me that there are still a lot more buyers out there than sellers, and that they're buying the dips hard.  I think the folks out there buying are getting their hands on as much as possible without sending the market above $30K.  Their time is limited though as I believe Bitcoin's days are numbered below $30K.
3660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun sued by SEC. Effect on Bitcoin? on: March 23, 2023, 05:01:36 PM
I’m honestly surprised this didn’t happen in 2017. The way that he sold his tokens and then started buying companies on behalf of it seemed a little shady. It never really sat right with me because it smelled of manipulation similar to SBF tactics. Justin was able to stay afloat though. Now that they’re cracking down industry wide, it seems like they’re working through a list of who to get.
