The much requested tip log was added to profile. You can now track all sent and received tips from your account. Also the above issue with the bot was quickly fixed and won't occur anymore (thanks to everyone who notified me). Also we will likely be putting in a higher minimum PVP to prevent abuse from people transferring lower faucet balances.

Right now we've been working on tweaking around chat, we're looking at expanding the width of the sidebar at larger resolutions and removing a lot of the padding on chat along with placing messages and usernames on the same line. This should make the chat much more usable during times of high capacity.

hi stunna..

can i propose a detached chat?
i mean like a popup.
in low res monitor the right colums size it is really narrowed...

this is just a prop!!!

People can just deposit 10k into account A and claim the faucet at account B, transfer the 10k from account A to B and then transfer back to A. Voila, profit.. However, you would probably get reported and banned. The best option is to prevent the user to use PVP unless they deposited the money that is equal to the PVP bet's amount. Stunna can just implement play money for people to test out PVP.

That would be like sheer waste of time. How much would you gain from faucets even if we do this?
Its going to take years to earn something substantive in this way.

It's not a waste of time when bots do it automatically for you. The scammers just sit back and watch the money come trickling in. I can't remember the exact figure but stunna mentioned he was paying out quite a lot of bitcoins from the faucet alone and many were just bot scammers.
Can the bots solve the captcha? I guess that captcha are made so that people don't use bots to missuse a service and so how can people missuse the faucet through bots?
They can't. I don't think much OCRs on the web are able to solve solvemedia's captcha with reasonable accuracy rate. If solvemedia suspects you are a bot, they would give you an even more complicated captcha, clicking on the screen/difficult captcha.

for now..
i think there aren't software/OCR or something else
who can solve captcha and are able to use it with bot to redeem faucet!

or not?

Votazioni chiuse  Cheesy

Thank you very much for this list, now I keep my btc on blockchain.info wallet.
I really want to learn  a lot about bitcoins Smiley
Personally I don't recommend to use any online wallet.
Blockchain had incidents leading to coin loss before.
Better use standalone wallets like Multibit / Bitcoin Core / Armory.
Multibit is for desktop right? I'm downloading it now, I was happy with blockchain (nice graphic) but I will use multibit if it's safer

I like electrum better to use for desktop wallet.

i'm using wallet-QT and electrum..
all are really functional...

if you use electrum you forget the "fat" blockchain download...

but for me, are both really useful and functional !!!

I expect a huge number of similar topics soon:

Oh, no!!! They took all my money
They seemed to be so profitable and soooo confidential..
Din't trust hash mining!!!! I was soooo fucking stupid.

It happens all the time same way.
Boring

i'm sure that there are a lot of people who ALREADY have lost his money.
pomzi game it is fun...
but just for people who know what are risking
and just for people who know how does it work in deep!!!

in real world easy money does not exists...
in bitcoin world it is the same!!!!
3647  Economy / Speculation / Re: And the crash continues on: January 31, 2015, 10:19:44 AM

I think that is exactly what is good about it.  If it takes so long, it will get spread out a lot.  The seigniorage will be everywhere and nowhere.

Bitcoin is not going to become a main currency (if ever) before several decades in any case, so just as well take that time to distribute it.  Bitcoin is a century-long project.  As fiat money has been.

Man, it's a cult for some grandeur-dilousional lunatics and can't hold water. It's already hopelessly antiquated.

All i hear from the Bitcoin hardcore supporters is contradictions by now. It was delusional madness before  (still is) and now it has become contradictions. So i think it's safe to say this crowd has lost its credibility together with the coin they support.

People want to make payments and store value now, not next century. Bitcoin is a joke.

your view: Bitcoin will go down to double digits and people will still be interested. It is one of the most volatile things on earth and can't hold value but somehow in a century it magically is still the leading crypto

my view: next century we will have 5 to 20 wildly advanced cryptocurrencies which get more and more staying power as they progress through the technical evolutionary stages and which will directly cater to the needs of their userbase. So the future is in altcoin developement and there will be a new golddigger era in the upcoming years as old bitcoin is dethroned and real competition between technologically advanced coins for userbase sets in. Cryptocurrency startup will become a billion dollar industry. In my scenario Bitcoin will be remembered as the first one but sadly had too many problems. A lot of altcoins will go mainstream (not bitcoin) and they will see a progression/evolution like that of musical genres last century (first came blues, jazz, then rock n' roll which advanced into a huge array of rockmusic. Later came RAP, POP and Techno and so on) ... so bitcoin is more like the classical music and maybe it will still be played next century amongst some nostalgic people but most people will prefer Rock or Pop.

which view do you think is more realistic?

Bitcoin has really become an obstacle to true technological advancement. And all the cult following with their contradictions and pipedream-hype-talk is an insult to the intelligent man.

In altcoin? No way. If for any reason bitcoin does fail, I don't think any of the alts are worthy enough to take the place of bitcoin. Even then my belief still holds true that one day bitcoin will be the currency that replaces fiat.

If Bitcoin doesn't fear the underdog, it's gonna get burned real quick

I think that now, bitcoin has its own space!
and no one can remove it completely!!!
probably, new projects, can erode a bit 'of its market,
but bitcoin will never be abandoned....
and will never die!!
There are other projects that are promising but still have a lot to prove and demostrate!
I'm talking about Ethereum, Ripple, Nxt and why not Burst using the algorithm POC.

3654  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: igot.com problems on: January 30, 2015, 11:17:52 AM
Hi, i created my account on igot 12 days ago. I did steps for level 2 verification. 2 days ago i deposited by online banking $5000 in my igot account. Everything went well until i bought 8 bitcoins with igot credit and then wanted to withdrawal the bitcoins in another wallet because i don't want to keep the bitcoins with them. After 8 hours i still didn't got my bitcoins and i opened a ticket. After another 5 hours i get a message from this "Julie" who said that we need to setup a video call in order to withdrawal my bitcoins. What should i do ? because i don't want to make any video call, they didn't said nothing about a video call or something else when i sign up with them. Cheers

but i hope you get transaction id when you do bitcoin withdraw?

right?

check the transaction on blockchain so can get more info about the problem!!!

let know us how is proceeding

3657  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Play Flappy Bird on your Android Phone and win FREE BTC! Faucet on: January 29, 2015, 07:30:33 PM
The app is working great! Waiting for updates...

One suggestion: because people will be asking for small withdrawals,
it'd be nice to have an option to wait for other ~9 people to withdraw
so a single tx fee is paid for all 10.

This way only 1/10 of the fee has to be discounted to each one.

if you read all the thread,
this is already proposed...
but i think for now it isn't developed....

hope for new release soon....

....but vineyard, the developer,
is inactive since 15 gen 2015...

hope he come back sooon!!!
3658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If I wanted to offer coding skills, what languages are most sought after? on: January 29, 2015, 06:38:15 PM
Another question, if I do have skills what are a good way to show a porfolio of skills? What does a average coder charge? is it done per hour or project?

It's usually not a flat rate or anything but you have to be competitive with your prices... For starters you should do what I do and offer free coding/tips accepted. FYI, If you aren't artistic don't get into front end web design too much. Go for backend, it's more fun.

\Not artistsic, what languages do I learn for backend?

if you are alone...
i mean in your activity,
learning language it is noth enough...
if you plan to develop application with basilar complexity,
you need to learn DB, SQL, apache...
and then python, php, javascript, html, css jquery...
and other little things!!!!

@ikiscream glad if it is 3 day
But the problem is the btc already sent and confirmed transaction hash is clear, and Cointellect state something wrong with the payment.
