Another tiny correction before we move up the ladder again. Keeping us legit for a little while longer, we might even be able to hit +%20 today. We've already doubled in the last month according to bitcoinwisdom, though, not shabby at all.

this now qualifies as parabolic rise. Be ready
We've been ready for a couple of years for this. Perhaps new traders won't take the right precautions when this bubble pops, but that is still a little far in the future. Great time for miners right now, difficulty isn't horrible and price just keeps rising. Good for all of us.

Wonder if Circle regret dropping out of the Bitcoin ecosystem?
Just as much as anybody else would dropping out of Bitcoin. Big mistake, and this just emphasizes it. Fast and hard rise now, this could be what brings us to $3K. More likely another correction and pump today though.

Looking long term, if we hold out at a decent price until we get to August 1st and Segwit will begin to be locked in, we might finally see the huge push we've all been waiting for. Personally I don't think this bubble is going to pop just yet, but I could be wrong. Very interesting pattern in recent price movement, almost the same thing three or four days in a row. Are we topping out?
Personally I'm cashing out in the form of GPUs and minbg gear at least partially. I still have the majority of my stash and if a crash comes, you better believe I'm going to buy.

Prepayment for a never heard of before brand to most people? Sounds pretty fishy to me. Cards look cool with the passive setup, I'm interested in the temps on those cards. Reminds me of the old Quadro cards you find sometimes in old workstations.

Just traders taking profits. Looks like nobody panics about these anymore, I remember back when price was more fragile and people freaked out about $30 price drops. Seems normal nowadays to drop a few hundred and break ATHs the next day, I like the trend.

Those miners are near obsolete now, wouldn't be surprised if they're running all L3s or A4/A2 dominators now. Personally I prefer GPUs as you actually have to care for em, but whatever works ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I never did have a good experience with Genesis, but nice to see they're somewhat legit. What do you mean you have to care for gpus ? I prefer gpu mining too as finding miners to buy are very difficult. It's also good to see some legit cloud mining but the thing is it is easy to Photoshop that. Who is to say it is true. I think videos speak much louder then pictures ever will. Unlike ASICs which you just plop down, plug in a cable or two and let them one away, you actually have to set up a mining rig in most cases and regularly make sure it isn't malfunctioning. These days it seems people are lazy and just want plug and play profit with Antminers and such. It's not terrible but i like to have a semblance of effort in my rigs and in other people's.

All 400 series cars are no longer getting manufactured, so once they and the 500 series cards got bought up there's almost nothing left. Shame AMD still isn't keeping up with supply, happens every time, I'm chugging along with a single 460 right now because of these ridiculous prices.

I see another ATH after an $80 correction.
I love this kind of growth.
Nice profit to be made as well flipping coins, I've stopped doing this a while ago but there's definitely profit in these corrections. Segwit + 2MB is now being discussed as an issue by some people (read somewhere it's possible only 2mb will be implemented and segwit will somehow be left out of it because of some 'issue'), personally I just want some sort of consensus in either direction, set up a UASF node for the cause. Good times ahead for Bitcoin.

You'll find about the same prices here due to low availability of both ASICs and GPUs nowadays, due to ASIC manufacturers not exactly keeping up with demand and AMD not doing so hot with production. Personally I'd hold off of Baikals and GPUs for now and wait for prices to go down a bit if a new batch is released or AMD finally gets their manufacturing full speed.

And it is also harder to move money to Kraken. Ive tried several times to no avail sadly, maybe when it becomes easier to move funds to em I'll check it out.
Are you in USD? The Kraken USD market is traditionally a strange and stunted little thing. All the action is in EUR and you can SEPA there very rapidly if you're not in a third world country like the US. Yep. Best we've got is Finex, which i use every now and then. I mostly hold anyways so I don't sell much.. Hopefully it'll become easier to access exchanges overall in the future, would be a lot more convenient for me.

also, how the fuck is stamp so far ahead of the others?
That's really strange, bearstamp's at $2235 and bitfinex is at $2211. Since when was bearstamp's price higher than bitfinex's? And kraken is lagging behind at 2172$ :/ Please come buy coins here! They're as shiny as the others and a bit less expensive! :3 And it is also harder to move money to Kraken. * Pentium G4560 (it's better to have new hardware instructions) * 2x8Gb DDR3 (16Gb is essential, or some miners will alert "virtual alloc failed" or slow down speed) * 60Gb cheap SSD (hi, blockchain syncing) * True-750W APFC power supply (80+ bronze or 80+ EU is enough in case of free electricity) * Motherboard with 2-3 physical (forget about interface speed) PCI-E x16 slots with good amount of space between them (remeber about dual-slot cooling on cards) * Cheap midi-tower case with two side mounts for 120mm fans (target them to your cards) * 2x1080 or 3x1070, or 1080ti + 1070, prefer "turbo" ones to throw heat away from your case * Mine "cool" algo - Zcash. Dual mining may be a bad idea due to overheating.
Why 4560? More expensive than other Pentiums on most sites and it's not like mining will take lots of CPU power. G4400 is cheaper and has those same instructions afaik. You're not doing any multithreaded applications on a mining pc much of the time so it's better to just go for a budget CPU.

Shouldn't be a specialized driver, simply install Zadig and select the BFL device while it is plugged in and powered on to your device. Flash it with WinUSB. BFL offers special drivers but really even Zadig works if you're wanting to run on CGminer.

This post has now become relevant for those dealing in USD! $2000 was too soon... $3000 makes a lot more sense.
Do you really think that the price would cross $3000 with this rally, still i really do not understand why there is a sudden love for alt coins and bitcoin because i really cannot see any major difference with the fundamentals but still we are seeing more stable rallies which are really unpredictable ,i am sure the OP sold the coins at a very good profit, hope there is a correction coming up in the near future. Or a series of smaller ones, of which one is happening right now with considerable volume. Not all price rises have to be followed by big corrections, it can be delayed like we just experienced. That being said, another correction is possible in the next few weeks if we start rallying up again but that's a bit far in the future.

Bitcoin has become so unpredictable that it's silly at this point to try to predict $2500, $3000, whatever. I said "not this year" in the poll, but I don't have any idea. I would not have predicted $2100 within a month, and yet we hit that and more. So $3000 by year's end? Yeah, could happen.
I worry about going up too fast however. If we hit $3000 in a few months, that's one hell of a run and I'm not so sure we could keep that gain.
Then again we hit 1200 with Gox and people said no more, bitcoin's dead, the game is over. Then a few years later we're back in business and better than ever. Going up too fast usually results in a dump but bitcoin's always recovered, I don't think it'll be different if it happens again. We also have a large userbase, larger than most altcoins by far, unlikely that we will just die after a crash like you mentione.

They are not obsolete. With $0.03/kwh power they make $115/month after costs. You cant use residential power costs then declare something obsolete when it is far from the truth. On the open market they should be worth around $275 each and still have a 3 month ROI with the proper power costs.
Well with Bitcoin rallying past $2200, there may be a little life still in the S7. But honestly, who has access to 0.03 KWH? what country is that? If you've got access to cheap industrial or even commercial electricity in a place with already cheap electric costs 3 cents a kilowatt is definitely possible. For reference, I get around 7 cents in the US and there's costs of around four cents nearby for industrial. It's hard to gain access to that power though. Price has also corrected a little bit and it's now at around 2000, but not a huge worry as most people including me have already expected this to happen. Should come right back up in a few days or less.

I use BTC as currency plenty of the time. I also hold. That being said, if anybody is panicking about the current drop, it's a correction and we've been expecting one for a while. You don't jump hundreds of dollars without a correction. In fact, the value of Bitcoin is artificially scarce and due to this holders and users together create the price. Holding helps keep the price up. Even if this were not true, other coins are even lesser used as currency. At least we have services to purchase from big sites and some sites like Newegg even accept Bitcoin. Can't be said for other coins.

Battle Royale on Finex.
Shows us we aren't in a bubble and support is quite strong at this price range. Huge volume on Finex and it seems red is currently winning- just saw a nice 60 coin buy order after a couple of sells. Interesting times ahead, I welcome corrections if it means we're going back up after. 2100s are here on Finex, not as bad as I thought after a few hundred coins were being sold every minute or so.
