So the US Open Grand Slam is over a month away, I cannot see any tournaments
where the big names are playing, are the olympics the main focus of many now or
are there other tournaments which will be used as lead ins to the US GS?

There is this tournament Swiss Open, but no big names and this is clay so I doubt that is in preparation for US Open.

Shapovalov is rank number 1 in it and he will have a match today in the round of 16.

There could be other tournaments arounds or maybe some high rank players are just taking a breather.

Yes, started to bet on that tournament as well with a parlay.

But I have one bet voided, Feliciano Lopez vs Huesler, I have Lopez +0.5 and he was leading the 3rd set 6-5, unfortunately, Huesler retired. Possible that I can also win that match if the score ended up 7-5 in favor of Lopez. Looking for a Delbonis and Dere parlay later.

Here is the result of my Delbonis and Dere parlay:

Lots of good matches to look for and bet, Bautista-Agut as the second set will play and so is Delbonis again and Garin. Thinking to do another play on the 3 but it's riskier because we all know that one lost could derail the parlay. But let's see, the matches is like 9 hours from now.
3642  Economy / Economics / Re: End Game? on: July 21, 2021, 01:07:42 AM
Bitcoin's market is still fairly young and this argument could benefit us in the long run.

Just look at the early adopters, now they are reaping their rewards for buying low with literally hundreds of BTC and hold for the next 10 years. End game? we are still far from it, and as we saw it despite it's still being new, the market is in a cycle, bearish/bullish and this is how we should look at it. We could learn that it's better to buy more when the price is cheap because we are in a bear market and then sold off some in a bullish market.
3643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 21, 2021, 12:39:03 AM
Spence already has a good streak of victories and I don't think that by itself, beating an aging legend can drastically improve anything. In the end, each legend lost because of age, but we only remember their winners if they themselves became legends or defeated existing legends when they were still in their prime, and not old.

Still good though to have Pacquiao in your resume, yes he could be old, but Manny just came from a Thurman win, have the WBA super welterweight belt, so there are still a lot of weight of a Spence victory here. It's not that he is fighting Pacquiao on the downside of his career, Manny can still pull the trigger and riding on a 3 winning streak if I'm not mistaken, after this controversial lost to Jeff Horn.

Yes, the victory will be good in any case, but the funny thing is that if it takes place, then many will later say "this is a victory over an old star, now if he was younger ...", and if he cannot win, it will be almost a collapse since everyone will say that he could not defeat the aging champion.

I think we can really take that out in the equation, throughout boxing's history we have seen that.

Just like what Pacquiao did to Oscar, there could be arguments that Oscar by that time is old and can't pull the trigger anymore. So that could be the excuse, but the thing is how that boxer career went after beating a legendary. And we have seen Manny's career flourish after that.

So if ever Spence beat Pacquiao here, he will be judge on how his career will move. He could chase Thurman or Crawford or any other champion in the 147 lbs and could be on the road to become legendary himself, someday.
3644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Poll 31 December 2021 - Now 20 July 2021 $30,000 on: July 20, 2021, 11:25:00 PM
The last support we had is like $28,000. But currently we are sitting at $29,xxx, I'm thinking is that maybe because of the bitcoin future expirations, which happen around the 3rd-4th week of every month. Now as for the end of the year price, I'm still very bullish that we might hit a new all time high or I will not be surprised to see the price hitting 6 digits.

I think this post should be in the Speculation board.

41,000 BTC unlocking in the next couple of days
Its more then a little bearish in outlook as we're at the tail of a long line of sells, alongside news like this quoted its fair to say some market participants are heavily apprehensive but this is also a point to call out very apparent negativity.   When market is one sided like too many people on one side of the boat, expect an upset.   An upset to an obvious bearish outlook is a possible rise.    I'am referring more to a trading type movement but I think its a fair possibility.

Yes, and we have been seeing a lot of sell offs already even before the unlocking. And it seems that it is over, price goes on $31k, still far cry from the last all time high, but at least this market didn't go to $20,000 or something because of the GBTC unlocking.

But the outlook still remains bearish though and we might see this in the next couple of months still. I know this is not what we all wanted to see but we have to face it. Negativity is one part of the equation, depends on how we are going to look at it as a investors or traders.
3647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 19, 2021, 01:00:05 AM
^^ Yes, it was a strong performance by Carenno-Busta.

I have a good output in this tournament, was 3 out 3 bets win for me.

I wanted to parlay him with Casper Rudd vs Coria, I could have won more. But a win is a win so I will take it anytime.

3648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will axie infinity dominate blockchain games? on: July 18, 2021, 04:44:36 AM
right now the play2earn axie infinity is one of the most play games, and day by day the community and axie is getting bigger, anyone here plays this game? what do you think about the future of this game, I'm not trying to advertise the game just want to know your views regarding one of nft games that are in the market, how about the SLP and axs is there a chance to go down?

Haven't tried it but I heard about it in the beginning. But I'm not a gamer, (because of age, obviously), but since that time, axie infinity has taken the crypto world. And I also hear that it is quite expensive now isn't it? Future looks bright, in my opinion, specially that the axie community seems to be growing in numbers, so as more players=more hype=more staying power.

Again, in crypto if you are the prime mover, then definitely you can stay on the top, just look at btc and eth. They are the first and so they remain on top. No doubt that it will happen to axie infinity as well.

Yes, they are the prime movers, but you can't really compare it to BTC and ETH in my opinion.

This is a game, and if somewhat there are games developed that is more exciting than Axie, then definitely there could be gamers that are willing to try this new game.

And so far Axie has the hype surrounding it, that's why in short amount of time, it quickly turn into a big money making machine for game. But if it gets saturated or at least a new game comes into the picture, it might have a very tough competition in this niche.
3649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paraguay become the second country to legal for bitcoin after El Salvado? on: July 18, 2021, 03:58:47 AM
I thought that Africa is the place wherein there will be big bitcoin movement such as adoption and being used as legal tender. But this is all good news if some Latin and Central American countries will take the torch.

El Salvador already did it, and for sure there will be more in the next coming years. Of course it will be a big test as we all know that some of the countries there are under the influence of big monetary banks such as IMF and others. So it will be interesting how and what is El Salvador take if IMF will impose a different terms of them because of BTC.
3650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 18, 2021, 03:13:45 AM
it's all about the marketing and most boxers seemed to understand that if you trash talk, you will get the attention of the people and they will watch the fight because they are curious. Casimero is not yet a popular fighter, so it could be his way to introduce himself to the public.

Casimero's promoter said this, different from what Casimero said.  Grin

https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-promoter-rigondeaux-tougher-fight-he-beat-donaire--158943

If he wants to get the attention of the people then he should win in a spectacular way by beating opponents by a knockout although he is already done that, he should do this on popular boxers, now he will get people's attention if he can knock out Rigondeaux, who is still a tough opponent even though he is aging, this is a fight that will get him even closer to meeting Inoue.

You are right, he needs to win by spectacular fashion to get a nod from the boxing fans. But Casimero is just breaking on the US soil, mostly his wins is from outside of the US that's why his name doesn't have a ring except maybe for those who have followed his career.

But since he become a world champion, he has been destroying his opponents by KO. And he should done this as well to Rigo to gain some noise and not to trash talk his way in.
3651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 18, 2021, 02:46:32 AM
Bookmakers rate Spence as a clear favorite - the odds of him winning are about 1.2. I tend to agree with them - he is younger, taller, faster. Can't understand why Pacquiao needs this fight? Another plus in the defeat column but for a lot of money? It seems to me that he has already provided for himself for the rest of his life and could well end his career.

Similar to other high profile sports personalities, they have to maintain their lifestyle that's why they needed that kind of money to sustain them for the next decade. Plus as other have pointed out, Pacquiao has this political ambitions so in the Philippines, you need to have billions of pesos to run for the Presidency. Just one fight and easy $20 million = 1 billion PHP. Yeah that's a lot of money, but it won't last with Pacquiao's personalities.
3652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 18, 2021, 01:56:44 AM
I am on Krajinovic ML since he has great H2H against Djere and I guess he had to play well to get pass Tsitisi, did not watch that one. Than I have Delbonis +3.5 @1.75, can't believe nobody mentioned handicap option, it is always safer choice for me than over games since it almost always passes if underdog gets one set. This is clay so tie breaks are usually not a thing.

Those 2 games are on my "safe2 double and then I added Coria match as over 22.5 and couple of eSports games on my "just for fun" ticket. Also played Krawietz/tecau to win 2:0 which already passed but the odds were too low so it is just part of that fun multi, if they were better that would have been on my high stake ticket. Now regretting a bit Smiley

Krajinovic ML was an easy pick today with a really solid odd, 6-4 6-2 for Krajinovic was pretty easy.He wasnt wornout from the Tsitsipas match at all. Currently Carreno Busta took the first set against Delbonis with only 7-6 . The handicap will probobly come in if something crazy dosent happen in the rest of the match

Yeah, I think even the handicap was an easy pick started -1.5 for Krajinovic with good odds as well.

However, I deliberately didn't put bets on the game two of my favorite players Delbonis and Carreno-Busta are playing against each other.

Now it's Carreno-Busta vs Krajinovic, both players are playing good tennis, it's close and the finals can go either. Careno-Busta just a slight favorite, I think a ML bet should be good for him at 1.82.

John Bollinger, disagreed.

I think he is correct on that, its a harsh pullback but not forever even if it lasts this entire year I still wouldn't be especially negative.    Ive yet to see Dollar gain especially or other signs of deflation that would indicate a wider move, all I see are trading cycle putting us through profit taking and removal of speculators from the price which can take months.

Yeah, sometimes we really need to accept that we are really in a deep pullback by now, -50% from the last ATH We have been trading sideways already, of course if we got our Bitcoins at a cheap price we are still in the profits.

Anything which can be manipulated is at fault because if it can go wrong expect it sooner or later, a normal market will explore all possibilities before it resolves upwards.   BTC isnt made of helium it still takes alot for a trend to form upwards and part of that is time also to resolve and consolidate.   Also consider this prices are still very high, year on year its fine and its going to take more to really be especially negative for less transient forces besides traders and they are what matters really.

Sooner or later we will eventually se a break out run, the market is relatively calm at $30,000. Still a good price if we compare it to 2017's ATH. The price can't go on parabolic, and needed some breathing room. But at some point, it will have to bounce back.
3654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 17, 2021, 01:36:14 AM
Their point is, Casimero might be popular in the Philippines but globally, he's just a medium fry that's why people want him to be humble as he didn't even reach yet a big stardom in his career even he is a titleholder.

And there's a possibility that it would happen Rigondeaux is on a mission to do that, Casinmero should not take Rigondeaux lightly he is facing a two-time world champion who once beat Donaire, if we can see Rigondeaux in his old form, Casimero is in big trouble, I'm betting on Casimero but Rigondeaux is very much capable of putting up a fight and an upset.

Quote
"I’m going to box circles around Casimero and show him what ‘El Chacal’ is all about.  My trainer Ronnie Shields, and I have been working on some new tricks, so don’t be surprised if I knock him out.”

casimero is not yet a big star in boxing. so he needs to tame down himself. otherwise, if he will continue to be arrogant, i dont think he will gain loyal followers outside of his country. every boxer should not underestimate their opponent. because he can only taste their power once inside the ring.
but in any case, if casimero emerges as the winner on this match. he may ask for the inoue fight. and maybe earlier than inoue-donaire re-match...

I think he is already a star, the problem is that he is campaigning in the lower weight division which doesn't get the attention like the 147 lbs and up. And then he is also non-American, so he is not yet a household name in the US except maybe for the Filipino community.

He can still gain fans around for his arrogance, until he faces a loss in his career.

I'm not aware that Rigo is training with Ronnie Shields now, another good boxing coach/training.
3655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 17, 2021, 12:46:20 AM
LOL, It seems everyone lost their bet on Tsitsipas including myself, I bet on the point spread, and I thought that Tsitsipas will at least win the match because on the way he started on the first set, it could have been 6-0. But Krajinovic was on a mission not to lose .

Fortunately though I've made another parlay:

That Delbonis match though, when he lost the first set I said that damn, he messed up my parlay, but again, he fought back strong. I didn't finished the match because it was like 2:00 a.m. already here. And woke up seeing my winnings.
3656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 17, 2021, 12:02:27 AM
Mayweather always talks about being undefeated and declaring himself as the PPV king, well, he is right but if this fight will surpass the highest PPV sales in history, the only thing that Floyd could boost is only his undefeated record. I don't know if it will happen though as supposedly the live gate tickets should be sold out already at this time, and since this is a major event and people mostly stays at home, they'll certainly get a PPV to watch together with their family.

Yeah, that is Floyd's only argument against Manny, but we all know that the legacy is Manny is way above anyone else in the last 20 years, not even Floyd or Oscar Dela Hoya can match it. And lately we have seen Floyd fighting exhibition match, yes it will hurt his legacy, but as he admit it, he doesn't care.

Doesn't matter what the PPV numbers is, for sure this is a great fight that only Floyd wishes he can do. Fighting a young champion, Pacquiao surely will be one of the best if he retires and his name will always popup in the next 50 years.
3657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital EURO - What are your thoughts? on: July 16, 2021, 01:12:08 PM
It will look like the E-yuan project from china. and I'm sure it's not crypto. so there will be no effect for the market. the digital euro will not be the driving force for people to become more acquainted with crypto. because it's just an E-money issued by the government. they may be familiar with digital wallets. but not with blockchain and crypto.

Except e-yuan is most likely using blockchain tech and e-euro has said from early on that they are most likely not using blockchain. So we're going to have a lot of difference at least for me in terms of smart contract use, and possible hacking attempts by white hackers later on. So if euro going digital doesn't do blockchain, how does that acquant people with crypto?

I'm surprised that E-euro will not take advantage of blockchain as this is the future. But in any case, this will be a "force-use" for every citizen, so if you are a crypto enthusiast, you don't have a choice really as the government might implement it and will require every citizens to used it as I understand it.

So there's no different from the old and traditional fiat system, in my opinion. As for the white hackers, it might be a good thing to break the system early and find the loopholes. The problem is that when black hackers exploit it, there is a possibility that they might steal some E-euro for themselves.
3658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: not paying? You should unlearn then relearn on: July 16, 2021, 12:47:13 PM
I got the phrase "unlearn And relearn" from a forum  member and decided to do something nice with it. Most traders start with good and constant profits but along the line the start facing heavy losses most of them are good analyst but can't maintain a clean trade. This has made many give up on trading some see it as a game of chance mean while trading is a continuous process which requires consistent studying and practicing. If as a trader you can't maintain a good trade sheet go do some newer research unlearn the process and relearn

That's why trading is sometimes describe as gambling as well, because you are really playing a game of chance, specially if you trade with emotions. For those who have given up on trading, then it's obvious that this is not for them.

It takes humility to excel in trading it's not a game for the proud because your student can become your tutor in the near future and some one you once showed a technique might have a secret you would need for a better approach. In trading team work too pays pretty cool expecially for starters get a trading mate who would join in analysing the market with you before placing a trade it would go a long way in perfecting your trade over time and also make you a consistent profit maker.

I think in life, you won't succeed if you are very proud of your self. You should always be humble even if you have become successful in life. So trading is not an exception. Continuous learning is a must, learn from your mistakes and if by chance you hit the jackpot then stay low profile.
3659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 16, 2021, 12:19:19 PM
With Djokovic confirming the olympic games i think we can see him winning it all this year. If he wins the olympic games and us open he will be the first player in history to win a golden slam(all 4 grand slams plus olympic games). Does anyone know what are the odd for Djokovic to win the olympic games currently?

I can't find the odds as well, but I will assumed that it will be around 1.40-1.60.

Tsitsipas vs Krajinovic has started, Stepanos has a blistering start 3-0, Krajinovic serving now.

I do feel that it will end in 2 sets easy for Tsitsipas, unless Krajinovic finds his rhythm here.
3660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 16, 2021, 03:25:37 AM

The funny thing is if Casimero will lose in this fight, Donaire can't make fun of him because he also loses against Rigo, so the hottest in the division will be Rigo and Inoue and Donaire can easily be dispatch by Inoue, and he would not win against Rigo or Inoue.

He wont really throw any words if ever Casimero would lose to Rigo and as you said because he also losses to him and that would just be ending up on the same situation.
If they are really serious on targeting out Inoue for them to fight then they should strive on beating up on the in-line opponent that had been set but most likely
if Rigo would win against Casimero then next will neither be Rigo vs Inoue and thats the time that hype is over.  Cheesy

Yes, I don't think that Donaire will stoop that low to bad mouth Casimero if ever he losses to Rigo.

The 3 of them, Donaire, Casimero and Rigo's main prize is Inoue. So they will have to focus on it, not to throw trash talk with each other.

We still have 4 weeks between Casimero and Rigo, but it seems everyone is already hype about this fight, specially for Filipino. If Casimero and then Manny P. wins in August it will be a big celebration for Filipino boxing community.
