In Nikolaev & Lugansk today where shoot civilians.

Hmm... US mercenaries in action. Just a matter of time before some of these idiots commit a grave mistake and give bad name to the US.

Worse than already is?

Brilliant!
http://news.rambler.ru/24460018/

Only 1 of 6 American respondents to Washington Post quiz managed to place Ukraine correctly on the map, even though ther responded that US should perform military intervention into Ukraine. Cheesy

I think they are excused as it seems Ukraine is borderless and thus encompasses the whole world!   Grin
3643  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: April 08, 2014, 07:34:03 AM
No, that's "just" corruption. Both Yanukovich and the West's darling Timoshenko were feeding from the same fizzy gassy sources. Make no mistake Yanukovich was a corrupt leader, who was trying to milk two cows (there's a saying for that: "a kind calf suckles two cows"). Russians are not particularly happy having Yanikovich sitting there, looking all smug.

That's why I believe that the US made a mistake by removing Yanukovych. He would have made Ukraine a EU member nation in the near future. The Americans were impatient, and now they lost half of Ukraine.

Well, Americans followed the American model of business communications, while in this case a German approach would have been better.

Interesting, is that true or not. According to this, Ukraine has no official state borders yet. And formally it's still an administrative district within USSR Roll Eyes

Looks like an interesting loop-hole to use to resolve this whole issue in a civilised manner.

There are some unconfirmed rumours that two choppers and an IL military transport plane carrying troops from Kiev landed in Harkov.

Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning with that regard:
http://www.vesti.ru/doc.html?id=1455884

Quote
... Organisers and members of this provocation are taking on themselves a huge responsibility for creating threat to rights, freedom and life of civilian citizens of Ukraine of for the stability of the Ukrainian state. We urge to immediately cieze any military preparations that could lead to civil war.

An interesting observation!

In the meantime Lavrov urges Ukrainian acting government to refrain from use of force and instead initiate a dialogue with the representatives from the South-East. He says that Russia along with US and EU would support such talks.

And a recap by RT:

Also, and interesting almost-footnote:
Quote
In a rare incident, Dnepropetrovsk city authorities moved to negotiate with the anti-government activists. According to the region’s vice governor, Boris Filatov, both the “left-wing” and the pro-Russian protesters agreed to refrain from “calls for separatist actions.” In return, the authorities said they will let the activists use some cabinets in the administrative buildings for their “meetings and work,” as well as provide them with “free access” to local printed media.
3648  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Blackwater in New Republics in Eastern Europe. on: April 07, 2014, 09:48:12 PM

Ouch.

Earlier a source in Ukrainian police forces confirmed that three special ops groups are being transported to Donetsk to suppress public unrest. These will include private hired arms from Blackwater (yes that very same http://rt.com/usa/blackwater-afghanistan-us-academi-374/) dressed in "Sokol" uniforms.

Now acting minister of internal affairs Avakov said on Ukrainian Ministry's of Internal Affairs Facebook page that "these special forces are prepared to solve operative tasks with disregards to local characteristics".

I shudder to think what that will entail!  Embarrassed
3649  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Looking Back at NATO's ‘Humanitarian’ Bombing of Yugoslavia on: April 07, 2014, 09:26:09 PM
Serbia was trying to get a hold on Kosovo? Am I mis-reading your statement? Anyway, let's have some facts strait. Kosovo was a part of Serbia with a large Serbian population, with a UN-banned terrorist organisation KLA operating on its territory (much like ETA or IRA). Serbian forces tried to contain that organisation. I don't see NATO bombing Spain or UK for fighting ETA and IRA back.

The bombing resulted in a humanitarian disaster (read genocide) with hundreds of thousands of Serbs killed or driven from their homes. On the upside, NATO got some land to place their base on.

According do Russian media it was a group of drunken Ukrainan soldiers who quarrelled with Russian soldiers. Ukrainian soldier wounded Russian one, who responded by opening fire. Russia opened a criminal (murder) investigation of the incident.

And again, according to Russian media, Kiev denies that the soldiers imbued too much:

do you have some english articles?

I mean not all of us can read cyrillic Cheesy

translate.google.com is your friend there. It manages to translate whole sites from Russian with about 90-96% accuracy. Just copy and paste the links into it.
I don't see RT or RIA having a story on it yet. Must be drowned out by all the Ukraine stuff.
3652  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: April 07, 2014, 08:49:13 PM
So , we Romanians hate rusia with no motive? No f*** motive Huh

Russia and Jew Commissar Government in RSFSR & USSR are two different things.
Who see no difference from that is a ignorant dumb ass.

There is no difference , you cheated in 1853 , you lied in 1878 , you lied again in 1916 and back stabbed us , you invaded us in 1941 all while talking about the Russian-Romanian cooperation.
If you're not the same as the USSR , where is the Romanian tezaur you don't want to give back?

For centuries you have just tried to f** us and you almost did a better job than the turks at this.

I am not here to pick the fight (as I admit I know little of Romania's interaction with Russian Empire - RSFSR - Russian Federation). I am here to give a consolation point. If peoples are to hate each other for every historical transgression, there won't be a nation left free of all-consuming hate. Russia by your logic of who invaded it, cheated it or broke treaties with it, for example needs to hate Mongolia, Sweden, Poland, France, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Great Britain, and, lately, US(NATO) to name just a few. Yet, you don't see much hate displayed, save by a few extremist types.

None of that recent stuff (past few months) explains how Yanukovych's dentist son became a billionaire. I suppose the US bribed his family for years?

No, that's "just" corruption. Both Yanukovich and the West's darling Timoshenko were feeding from the same fizzy gassy sources. Make no mistake Yanukovich was a corrupt leader, who was trying to milk two cows (there's a saying for that: "a kind calf suckles two cows"). Russians are not particularly happy having Yanikovich sitting there, looking all smug.

(For the record, Russia was not against EU-Ukraine-Russia trade cooperation, but EU dug their heels in demanding Ukraine either chooses EU way or the highway.)

Sorry to disappoint, but in Transristria there is only one side, so there's nothing for Obama to do.  Grin

You seem so eager to assist with the expansion of the Russian empire. Why don't you enlist in the army?

...What's the matter? Don't you like putting yourself at risk for your beloved empire? Your armchair in your mum's basement is too warm and comfortable?

Why are you so obsessed with fighting? These is more than one way to expand an empire, and military is so 20th century.

Besides, you know what Churchill once said? "The empires of the future are the empires of the mind." Couldn't agree more. So far US has been leading, but they flip completely as soon as they meet just a little resistance on that front.

Oh, and by the way,
 - distance Russia (Moscow)-Transristia: ~1050km
 - distance US (Washington)-Transnistria: ~8000km
Hmm..?  Wink

In the end, yet another group of political gangsters and their dentist offspring, become billionaires overnight, the country turns to shit, and Russia takes over anyway.
Can't fault that statement of yours. You've aptly described the current state of Moldovan politics, so joining Russia would be an improvement for Transnistria.
3658  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: April 07, 2014, 07:00:00 PM
I don't remember any Russian politicians on Maidan fomenting discord, unlike some American and EU ones. So unless Russia recruited Nuland and her kind to go to Ukraine and urge Maidan to oust the President despite prior agreements between Ukraine and EU, I don't see how this all could be Russia's fault.

By saying that US had nothing to do with it, you are implicitly saying that Nuland and co were acting against official American line  on behalf of Russia (i.e. committing treason against US)

Oh, and here's the quote:
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article37599.htm
Quote
Since the declaration of Ukrainian independence in 1991, the United States supported the Ukrainians in the development of democratic institutions and skills in promoting civil society and a good form of government - all that is necessary to achieve the objectives of Ukraine’s European. We have invested more than 5 billion dollars to help Ukraine to achieve these and other goals.

And looking at the recent pandemic of coloured revolutions, everyone knows what "democratic institutions" and "civil society" and "good form of government" mean.
3659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Transnistria (Pridnestrov'je) seeking independence from Moldova on: April 07, 2014, 06:53:54 PM
Things won't be much easy for Transnistria. They are a landlocked nation, bordered by Moldovia to the West and Ukraine to the East. Both of their neighbors are now hostile.

What about an "Air Bridge". Oh how the history sometimes plays those reversal jokes.
3660  Other / Politics & Society / Transnistria (Pridnestrov'je) seeking independence from Moldova on: April 07, 2014, 05:27:47 PM
The President of Transnistria offered Moldova an official divorce:
http://www.kp.md/daily/26216.5/3100174/

While in his address to people of Transnistria said that the time is ready to make a decision regarding Transnistria and that the politicians must make a responsible move of legally binding the de-facto state of affairs.
