Um, guys, I think you digressed a tiny little bit. All such stuff should be taken to the wall observer thread, possibly augmented with some pictures of double bottoms.

Um, guys, I think you digressed a tiny little bit. All such stuff should be taken to the wall observer thread, possibly augmented with some pictures of double bottoms. Probably but this is the reality of what happens in every country where laws can't be fully enforced and doing 'illegal" things is way more rewarding that working and havng a normal job that is almost impossible to find. And this awaits both west Ukraine and Crimea

Talking with real people from Republic of Kharkov, and from Republic of Donetsk will help to understand the real situation there.

And a recap by RT: http://rt.com/news/kharkov-clashes-ukraine-independence-993/Also, and interesting almost-footnote: In a rare incident, Dnepropetrovsk city authorities moved to negotiate with the anti-government activists. According to the region’s vice governor, Boris Filatov, both the “left-wing” and the pro-Russian protesters agreed to refrain from “calls for separatist actions.” In return, the authorities said they will let the activists use some cabinets in the administrative buildings for their “meetings and work,” as well as provide them with “free access” to local printed media.

No pro-independence agitation yet, but pro-Kiev agitation already appears: So they think that referendum will happen. Otherwise why would they spend any money for agitation...

An interesting observation! In the meantime Lavrov urges Ukrainian acting government to refrain from use of force and instead initiate a dialogue with the representatives from the South-East. He says that Russia along with US and EU would support such talks. http://itar-tass.com/politika/1103953?utm_medium=rss20"Svoboda" leader in Ukraine on the other hand urges to use maximum force in resolving the issue. http://news.rambler.ru/24489727/
