Why's Bitcoin better?

- CoinJoin (the absolute fundamental basis of Darkcoin) was developed by a Bitcoin developer and he said that Darkcoin is an useless alternative coin with a terrible solution to the constructing transaction pool problem.

- Bitcoin has a lot of development going on behind the scenes, some ideas such as side trees and side chains may very soon allow Bitcoin to adopt all any feature without having to code the core client.

- When an anonymous sidechain is made for Bitcoin, it will not be CoinJoin but it'll probably be based off CryptoNote technology. Many Bitcoin developers are impressed with the CryptoNote technology.

I think its fair to say that BTC will have a hard time adopting/chaining with anonymous features such is their vested interest in Washington already.

yes, but there is obv a need for a fully legal and gov accepted crypto AND a (most likely) illegal annonymous crypto.

its not a question of one OR another, but rather a coexistence.

Difficulty has risen again. Super Jupiter does now 0.15238969 BTC per day. (3.17 TH/s)

In July +/- 0.065 BTC per day.

In August +/- 0.04366 per day.

I believe the only people making ROI on the equipment KfC sells is KfC.
While probably true for Franken & Neptune...
If you didn't ROI on their first 28nm batch... You probably didn't buy one.

november batch was insanely profitable. overclocked those jups made btc x3.

If Evan ever comes up with something groundbreaking (will not happen) the Bitcoin devs can copy and implement it. On the other hand, they can never copy cryptonote based coins.

they won't. like has been said before bitcoin wont add anon-features into the protocol. if they do all achievements in terms of gov acceptance will be lost and bitcoin will be illegal in a matter of months.
3646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 24, 2014, 03:35:51 PM

Litecoin voting on adding anonymity to copy Darkcoin.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and an admission of 'WTF shall we do when they've got all that innovation going on'?

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=19955.0

Vertcoin - lets do privacy
Litecoin - lets do privacy
Bitcoin - we should think about doing privacy

Darkcoin - Now we got privacy, lets build on that and innovate some more.

bitcoin wont go private, if they do they will face even bigger gov threats and restrictions.

Oh come on!  Cheesy

Even a 12-year old could easily create volatility and insane volume if he had instamined a coin like this. All he needs is two Mintpal (or any other exchange) accounts.
A simple trading robot can do this without needing you watching the screen.

You're arguing that whales can easily manipulate markets with relatively low volume to their advantage. But isn't that kind of obvious?

Watch his post history. He is just bullshitting the forums 24/7.

Oh really? Which post i wrote was not true so far? Would you be so kind and point the post for me through PM or even here if you like.
Go ahead and take a look at my history.
If you call that BS, then fine. Thats your personal opinion. Good luck with that.

go bullshit somewhere else plz.

going back to nautiluscointhread looks like a good fit imo.

There is only one person/grp who moves this coin. Developer. And yes. Its obvious.

You are a troll. A dumb troll. And yes. Its obvious.

hi all,

as a potential investor i would like to know what is known about "libertysend"?

It's being worked on. It's been said in a week or some such it should be ready. They have been testing and working out bugs.

is it based on coin-join?

This is what Pliskov, the developper of the Cryptonote technology, just said regarding its integration within the code of bitcoin:

Quote
CryptoNote's main privacy features adoption into Bitcoin and its forks is not so easy as it seems at first glance. If somone desided to do it he would have to rewrite cryptographic functions, change the tranzactions’sctucture, and add a lot of new functions to process it. Thus it would be a hardfork. Of course you can do it from scratch but you’ll have to wait till all your users update their binaries and suppport a lot of exceptions for the old blockchain part. This is arelly difficult task. Nevertheless what benefits do you want to get by getting CN’s code inside the BTC’code?

source: https://forum.cryptonote.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=192

You can pretty much forget about anything significant being added to BTC, unless there is a major change of leaders and philosophy. BTC in the year 2100 will look about the same as BTC of 2014. Maybe the side chains thing will go in, but even that seems questionable.

This is normal, and probably healthy. Technological progress often happens by leapfrogging, not evolution. The idea that "we can just merge the features" don't work once something because mature and (often well-founded) conservatism sets in.

bitcoin may evolve and innovate more features in the future and will very well be the no1 crypto for quite some time.

BUT bitcoin wont adopt any anon-technology, at least not decentalized in the qt-wallet. bitcoins main goal at the moment is to seek law compliance and to become truly legal in important economies. no way they will adopt anon-tech and shoot themselves in the foot.

bitcoin will stay anon-tech free for quite some time and another (illegal) crypto will emerge and fill that gap. maybe drk, who knows.
