3661  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About my wallet! on: February 17, 2021, 06:15:02 AM
How can i sell my coins from my wallet (i mean how can i get the money in my account) ?
I use Trustwallet if that matters.
P.S. (sorry if the question sounds stupid , i'm new in this investment thing)
Trust wallet is multi crypto wallet which means you are holding multiple crypto currencies.

First of all I advise you to sell your all coins which you wanted to convert into BTC first which can be done with swap option or you can convert them in traditional exchange itself like Binance, etc.

Then sell your BTC for fiat if it is supported on exchanges or move coins to LBC and sell it for cash.
3662  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Struggling to transfer a small amount of BTC from Binance to Bybit on: February 16, 2021, 04:50:14 PM
I stopped using binance a while back as i just couldn't get on with it, and I've moved over to Bybit which i prefer way more. I only have about £60 in BTC in that account and wanted to transfer it to my Bybit account, but whenever I paste in the wallet address i want to send the funds to on Binance, it initially says "This address matches a BTC network address. Please select the correct network you wish to make the withdrawal on."

the options i have are these;

Binance Chain (BNB) BEP2 - Fee £0.097813
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) BEP20 (BSC) - Fee £0.192133
BTC - Fee £17.47
Ethereum (ETH) ERC20 - Fee £10.48

If i select anything except BTC I get the message "The address does not match the currently selected network, it is recommended that you switch to another network."

Obviously, i don't want to spent near a third of the coin i have on binance on transferring it over if i can help it. Is there anything i can do here? I tried using the support option on Binance, but I wasn't able to get through to an actual human, and the autoattendant wasn't much help.

Thanks.
You didn't mention about the conversion part on Binance, you should have to convert your BTC into something which is listed on Bybit and also having Cheap transaction fee. Many people suggesting XRP here so why not try it?
3663  Other / Meta / Re: Do you click on signatures? on: February 16, 2021, 03:04:52 PM
I used to visit gambling sites by clicking the signatures not from google search simple to avoid entering into fake gambling sites. This is the biggest crypto community ever so there is no better place than advertise any service related to crypto than here but I am not sure they are making money from clicking the signatures on bitcointalk but they are profitable so they can afford to spend long term for their advertisement.
3664  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking a loan to buy Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2021, 12:28:11 PM
To be a successful investor, avoiding FOMO is very important which means you never take loans to make investments because cryptos are not giving dividends then how you are going to pay the interest rates? What if your investment become total failure. Shocked
3665  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Faper Account - explanation on: February 16, 2021, 07:46:19 AM

3666  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for a recommended VPN to access Binance.com from teh US to withdraw on: February 16, 2021, 06:28:05 AM

Are you really trying to find the solution or simply create the threads for no reasons! Smiley

The way you worded it made it sound like a made a thread a year ago.

yes, busted. I am making threads for no reason. yep, you got me. Super Sleuth.

Since you are mr. smart guy, maybe you can see that stuff changes each time I try.

Now go away. damn
So you are the time Traveller who came to 2021 from 2022. Tongue

It was made by you on 10th Feb 2021 which is the present day at earth. If you the proof you made that thread here is the archive as well.
3667  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Faper Account - explanation on: February 14, 2021, 02:32:32 PM
Are you sure that you are banned, because according to bpip you aren't.

https://prnt.sc/zh6akd

Here is a proof sir.

I was contacted with someone of your guy from Bitcointalk support via e-mail about that situation.

You are not banned I guess, because it shows your account was locked for security reasons on the screenshot you provided.

And more over scams are not moderated here so even if you commit fraud or shady activity you will get red tag and flags not the ban.And I guess you tried to use forgot password or something which resulted into lock (correct me guys if I am wrong).
3668  Other / Meta / Re: an appeal thread on: February 14, 2021, 01:07:54 PM
Hello, many of my posts have been deleted by one of the Forum moderators.
I do not know the real reason for that and I believe that my posts are valuable and they were deleted by mistake
Please help in getting these posts back and thanks.

If I am not wrong, 25 of your posts got deleted in the last 18 hour time frame since it was 3 before that and when I refreshed it I can see 28 now and understand that it didn't happened by a mistake. People normally report multiple of your posts at the same time so they deleted in the same time as well.
3669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: electrum 4.0.9 funds don't show in new wallet on: February 13, 2021, 07:33:11 PM
hi

i used electrum to buy bitcoin.

Electrum doesn't have buy feature. Roll Eyes

my default wallet could not be accessed because of a password failure
i made a new wallet using my seed
but cannot see my funds in it

any help?
You made a new wallet or recovered the old wallet with the recovery key you had?

Make sure that installed a legit electrum wallet since you mentioned that you bought bitcoin which is not possible in real electrum and there are hundreds of fake electrum wallets which are even available on Playstore.
3670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My Binance account got hacked on: February 13, 2021, 06:14:04 PM
Why did you moved the thread back again to META from Exchanges section, last time I checked this thread was located in exchanges section.

This binance stuff has nothing to do with bitcointalk and its development so let it be in the appropriate section or it will be trahed.
3671  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for a recommended VPN to access Binance.com from teh US to withdraw on: February 13, 2021, 05:57:58 PM

Wait, you are the one who asked you can't able to access Binance funds

I don't think that was me because the last time I accessed my Binance.com account,
It seems you are the one! I just quoted what you asked with another thread!

I did not pull my funds from Binance.com and can no longer access them. I went online to get help, but could not find a phone number or a way to do this.

I opened a Binance.us account, but they are not connected and that did not help.

I try to sign into the binance.com site, but the verification wants me to blink my eyes or shake my head. After doing it, I get a message saying the validation failed.

Any chance I can get this resolved? Any ideas on how to do it?

Thank you

3672  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for a recommended VPN to access Binance.com from teh US to withdraw on: February 13, 2021, 02:05:52 PM
I need to log on to binance.com and withdraw my funds. I no longer have Google authenticator set up for Binance so I need to reset my password which requires me blinking into my phone for verification which does not work from the US.

Can anyone recommend a VPN I can use to just withdraw my coin from Binance?

thanks
Wait, you are the one who asked you can't able to access Binance funds because it was already blocked by binance for US customers a year ago?

Even if you find managed to recover the password via resent link still you will fail at the verification status right?
3673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is tax calculated on crypto currency conversions? (general question) on: February 13, 2021, 05:32:20 AM

Assuming yourself as US residents then you need to pay taxes for your capital gains which could be short term gain or long term gains which depends on how long you held the crypto currency.

IIRC, you need to pay report taxes for each of your conversion, on the transaction one BTC to LTC where you made $50 then follow the same with all the transaction then find total profits you earned with all your trades.

Then calculate the tax amount based on Federal tax rate + State owe tax which varies on both cases with short term and long term.

I maybe wrong because I can explain for a single transaction clearly but this involves multiple conversion so asking a professional can give the accurate answers.
3674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction still unconfirmed after 3 days on: February 12, 2021, 06:23:35 PM
Thanks.

Done. Lets wait now.
Confirmed now? AFAIK, the fee required to get included into the block never came down below 100sats/byte which means the transaction is still supposed to be in the unconfirmed status I guess.

@OP, never use the ETA or Static feature while choosing the fee in electrum, tap it to Mempool which gives exact fee required to included your transaction in the different blocks when sliding down the bar.

And also cross check the fee here : https://txfee.org/#
3675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My Binance account got hacked on: February 12, 2021, 05:21:43 PM
Now i leave that account. I won't use it again. Bad luck for hardworker hacker Grin. And i spend almost 7 hours to remove my all account details what i stored on some drive site.
What if your device got compromised which resulted into the account got hacked? So possibly even if you keep your coins in the wallets which are at the risk now...

Reported to mod already! Cool
3676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which Bitcoin wallet is Best? on: February 12, 2021, 03:00:50 PM
which other bitcoin wallet is best? and which one you are using?
I am using electrum on both my desktop and at my android for years now since I had issues with coinbase, There are reasons to choose electrum over other if you are planning to hold few hundreds to thousands USDs worth of bitcoin like light weight, open source, easy UI, Importantly availability on Android because I am using more of my Electrum to trade with people from my mobile itself from anywhere.
3677  Other / Meta / Re: upload pictures on: February 12, 2021, 06:57:30 AM
Hello,

I want to upload, or at least link 2 pictures to my profile, permanently. How can I do it without 4 stars?

thanks in advance and Greetings
authentist
You don't need 4 stars, it is possible with 3 star itself or you can say full member that is the common term to differentiate the ranks in bitcointalk. Once you reached 100 merits and 120 activity then avatar feature will be enabled under your

Profile ==> forum profile information==> Avatar (Go here) ==> select the picture you want to upload and click upload.
3678  Economy / Reputation / Re: @crairezx20 case on: February 12, 2021, 05:23:57 AM
Was this case raised there? I can't find the report of this case there even using the search button. Am I missing something? I am talking about this case specifically, not all over ban evasion. I have seen occasionally users creating unique threads for each ban evasion. In the thread you have mentioned, OP is inactive of that thread, so there is a lack of maintenance. Anyways, a single thread would appropriate for this case, it's quite a serious case IMO.
I don't see any thread on META regarding this case but talking about the thread, it is better to have one. ST was inactive who was the one created it but if the community think it needs proper maintenance then someone can open a new thread for such purpose and can maintain them. I feel it is mandatory because moderators are not like DT in numbers so helping them to reduce their workload by giving dedicated threads can help to keep the place clean with ease.
3679  Economy / Reputation / Re: @crairezx20 case on: February 11, 2021, 04:18:02 PM
Don't know why still all accounts exist without a ban. I think a van evasion thread should open on meta with proper explanations and evidence that should be easier to understand for moderators.
It exists already, : [Report] Ban Evasion [Requesting Admin/mod to check those and ban]

But it didn't got enough attention since reporter(s) simply using Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2021 Q1) to report such cases.
3680  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Bitcoin Wallet? on: February 11, 2021, 02:20:05 PM
I think coinbase is the best bitcoin wallet as it’s using
Until you lose all your savings just for a silly mistake. Tongue

Its time to grow up and start learning about real decentralized and non custodial wallet, I suggest you to use Electrum which is easy and simple but importantly it gives you private keys.
