3661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish movement on the way? on: June 09, 2021, 09:42:02 AM
Everyone is afraid of an upcoming dump, and here I am excited about it! I mean I do have some money in crypto obviously and when the price goes down I am sad about it, but I know that I will be able to buy cheaper and when it goes up I will be richer. That is the only thing I care about, making more money and I already cashed out the amount I need to survive living, that is the important part because you should never put money you need in crypto or in any other investment, but when you do not have any type of problem with the money in the crypto world, you do not have to withdraw it and all?

In that case drops are good because it can never go up forever, it has to go up but then down however it will then go up again, so we had the up, we got lucky, I sold a few, then I will buy some more at bottom and then sell at the top, this is how you make a profit.
3662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin/ETH replace fiat someday? on: June 09, 2021, 08:09:01 AM
I don't know if a total adoption of Bitcoin and Ethereum as a means of payment globally and leading to the abandonment of Fiat currency will happen, but I do believe that if such a day should come, the manipulation of cryptocurrency or specifically Bitcoin and Ethereum will no longer be an issue because it will no longer be a free space like it is today where anyone that thinks because they have the might they can manipulate the market, that time it will be a more regulated space.
Obviously it wouldn't be smart to get rid of fiat all together, and that is why I do not see it happening anytime soon. However I do understand that if bitcoin reaches to a huge volume, like let's say the marketcap is about 20-30 trillion dollars and the daily volume is about 400-500 billion dollars in that case the price would definitely not move like it moves today.

It would still move, gold moves and oil moves and the value of dollar moves, prices of stocks moves basically everything moves but they never move like bitcoin moves right now, and if we can have that much action going on in bitcoin that means we are going to see a small but understandable move in bitcoin instead of what is going on right now. This is why I believe there is going to be a great future where bitcoin will be used, not instead of fiat, but alongside of fiat in the future.
3663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and energy consumption on: June 09, 2021, 06:53:39 AM
I understand the worry, I worry about our energy consumption as a whole world, and I worry that if we do not do something about the climate change soon, we are going to live one of the hardest periods of humanity ever since the black plague. However this is not about consuming energy, this is about where that energy comes from and that is the problem.

If you have insane amount of solar panels and create energy from that and use it for bitcoin mining then we do not have a problem, the aim of stopping the current global warming crisis is not to downsize the amount of energy we consume, it is to stop the energy creation out of things like fossil fuels, there is a big difference.
3664  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sports - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: June 08, 2021, 07:48:09 PM
From https://twitter.com/francis_ngannou/status/1401951112173801472

Happy to announce I am http://Stake.com’s newest Brand ambassador. @Stake is the best site to bet on UFC with your crypto. More news coming soon, stay tuned

https://t.co/yG1yCGgJF6?amp=1

Time for another new promo

Spinomenal are back and with an awesome promotion where every week, you can get 50% off bonus buys on a particular game!

Take part in their new Monday Funday promotion now: https://promotions.stake.com/monday-funday-spinomenal-promo/
There is a good amount of "brand ambassador", there are also sponsorship in UFC as well, and there are live stream of the games in there as well, basically we are talking about a ton of stuff that will end up with a good amount of users so that is a great thing for stake for sure.

However one thing I am not entirely sure about is that how much money was spent on this? I know that it is not going to be something that would be cheap, we are talking about maybe 10+ million dollars spent on all of this, well that is what I imagine maybe it is just 100k who would know, stake staff is the only one that knows the price. However if it is as much as I imagine (not just one ambassador, I am talking about literally everything) then I think it would have been even better if they spent it on the members, wouldn't it? I mean just pay us that money back when we gamble and we will gamble even more?
3665  Economy / Economics / Re: Official says US seized cryptocurrency ransom paid to Colonial Pipeline hackers on: June 08, 2021, 07:19:17 PM
There is also a chance that FBI actually didn't get the money, but just claimed they got the money back so that they could basically just act as if "if you try to ask for ransom from us, we will catch you and we will get our money back and throw you in jail" so to speak, hell it could be ALL a fake situation, this is FBI we are talking about, these guys (along with NSA and CIA) overthrow whole governments, you think they would be just willingly pay ransom and be fine with that? Of course they are going to make a whole deal out of this. I do not know what really happened but it smells fishy in here and I do not know what it is exactly.

Let's hope that they do not know a method where they can reach wallets because even though I know it is technologically impossible, I still fear that if they ever get their hands on a method like that, they could empty any wallet whenever they want claiming it illegal.
3666  Economy / Economics / Re: Ruffer scores $750 Million profit from Bitcoin on: June 08, 2021, 06:44:37 PM
Well, they took out their profit and probably kept a good chunk in the crypto and that is what everyone should be aiming to do, isn't that what makes us the most profit. However it wasn't really a great decision to sell right now, it would have been better if they sold when we were over 60k+ and that would have been nearly 2x more profit.

I understand that it is not that easy to make that type of profit very easily, but it is also not that difficult to make that kind of sale when the price is low, just ... wait? I mean at the end of the day we are talking about a huge company here and they are not in a rush, they could simply just wait and make more profit and they do not need the money right now, they can wait a whole year or even few years to make even more profit.

In any case, they made a profit and kudos to them, we all want a profit so I won't say anything to this.
3667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 08, 2021, 04:22:35 PM
I am not entirely sure if Leipzig will continue to be great next season as well. They have sold some of their greatest players and they are also getting their manager taken by another team, we are talking about a team that will not be starting from zero but they are not going to be the same team neither.

So, we need to see who they will get, they didn't really do a world superstar transfers before the season neither and now they have a good amount of money that they can spend as well so maybe they will do even better with this much money and get players that are even better or will shine better, and that could lead them to be the only opponent to Bayern again. Or maybe they will be destroyed by the missing pieces and they will not be good at all and finish barely in top 5? We do not know what is going to happen until the season stars and they play a few games.
3668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 07, 2021, 06:33:09 PM
I think Mercedes engineering team is very good, there is no problem with that, the car itself is a great car and that is awesome, and I believe Hamilton is a great driver as well which I do not even have to say, everyone knows how great he is, you can hate him and I do hate him as well but nobody can deny that dude is a great driver.

However at the end of the day there are people in the pit that can destroy chances or make chances, sometimes it is the pit crew that is super fast, sometimes super slow, sometimes it is strategist gaining you a lap, sometimes not. Basically what happens in that garage can make or break a situation and that is very important. I believe there is a good chance we can see Max win the year as well if Mercedes goes like this, but at the same time Red Bull is not doing amazing neither, they have their own problems time to time as well.
3669  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: June 07, 2021, 05:15:23 PM
Trading was pretty risky, I did however make a decent profit each time I traded, approximately a 7-10% if I am not mistaken. On the other hand, it was really taking a toll on me mentally, it was driving me anxious, nervous and irritated. I would constantly sit on my phone or computer, observing the prices and charts on Bitstamp.

On top of that, I wouldn't stop thinking, what if I had done X Y or whatever differently, I would have made more money and so on. Investing on LP Vaults on Beefy is quite profitable, while I get to choose how risky my investment will be.
That's why I do not trade, it is just way too much for me mentally, it is really not that great to keep doing this when you are not great at trading but it is even worse when you are mentally not fine while trading, even if you are profiting it is not something you should be doing. I mean I get it, money is very important in life and people are fine with being going insane for making more money, I do not understand why but I get that it is all about money.

So, if you are making like 10% or more weekly then many people say that is worthy of their mentality going bad, which I do not agree with. I do not trade as much as I used to, I quit  it like 2 years ago during early 2019 periods, because I felt that it was affecting me very badly even though I was making a very good amount of money, in the end it doesn't matter if you make money or not if you are constantly stressed.
3670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT hype is over, next hype please on: June 07, 2021, 01:56:33 PM
That was a pretty short hype, but you can state that the NFT hype is over. This can be measured most clearly by the prices for NFT projects and NFT tokens. If you take Chilliz, for example, the price has collapsed by 75% from the high. In comparison, Bitcoin is currently valued around 45% lower from its high.

NFT hype is over, what do you think will be the next hype to prepare for?
Honestly I never switch over to any other investments but always sticking within bitcoin investments and hype. This is the reason, I guess I never need to worry on which is going to produce 10x or 100x next and what is going to get delisted. I agree people risk on altcoins and getting good returns but when considering the risk reward ratio, I guess I am doing better with my ONLY-BTC investments.

I mean, I am watching few of my friends who invested on more than 10 altcoins and they got good returns from 1 or 2 coins which may compensate the total capital required to invest in all 10 altcoins but I do believe their luck may not favor them always and with their next attempt they may fail to find that 2 altcoins as well. This is why I believe just investing only with bitcoin investments will get me good returns in long run and relatively with less risks even bitcoin is doing with its usual wild volatility.

3672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much can you predict this sh*t?! Or is it pure gamble? on: May 13, 2021, 06:37:00 PM
From 50/50 (it could swing either way and you can have zero knowledge on which way it'll swing), to %1-100 being able to know before hand, how much can you know?

What causes prices to go up? What causes them to go down? Obviously, no one knows for certain when it would happened, but has there been a consistent "pattern" lately? When prices have gone down, have you known to a reasonable degree than they would bounce back up? How?
No one can really say, it's just like a gamble, though I wouldn't call it a gamble lol, they are two different things. But same way that you will have to do some research on bets and know which one team is likely to win or lose or what's likely to be the score, that's similar to what you're doing in technical analysis. In technical analysis, you don't really get the actual price of what the asset is going to be in the near future, it's just like you're guessing what it's going to be by using some patterns that shows you what's likely to be the next outcome.

So it's just like a 50/50 thing, and you have to go by that and knowing very well that this may happen, and if not, then it's going to be the other. And that's just how it's meant to be, because I can't imagine what it would be like if everyone is hundred percent certain of what is going to be the next move in the market, just can't imagine that.
3673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: May 13, 2021, 05:22:50 PM
I'm now all in BTC and haven't sold a bit since 2013. I have a few Litecoins left somewhere but too few to mention.

I know putting all eggs in one basket is not very wise but I don't feel like investing in anything else right now. Is this a risky move? Maybe yes, maybe not.

I plan HODLing more, might sell a small percentage around November when odds say BTC might boost like crazy.

What's your plan?
Wait for real? You have been holding BTC since 2013? Well, then, that's a really good basket you have there. For real, I have not seen anyone that has been holding Bitcoin since that long till now. If you have been holding Bitcoin since then, then you have nothing to worry about, it's a really good investment you have there already. If I can remember, the highest price of bitcoin in 2013 was $1200, so it's likely that you bought those coins between the price of $200 and $1000 or a little above that.

And holding it till now means you have gotten a really huge profit from it, and whether the market should fluctuate badly at this time wouldn't bother you any longer since there's never going to be a time the price will drop as low as that, and I don't think it's going below $20k or $10k again. So it's an all-round win for you if you continue holding only the bitcoins.
3674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Zuckerberg named his goat Bitcoin on: May 13, 2021, 04:46:28 PM
Just a fresh post on his Facebook profile. Mark Zuckerberg posts that he named his goats Max & Bitcoin.

https://www.facebook.com/zuck/posts/10112954515429031

No need to login, that's the actual link from his post.
Lol couldn't hold my laugh while going through the comment section of the posts, people were really being very funny under the post with their comments. Anyway, I don't really see anything bad about that, though I did see some people that it didn't go down well with, and they had some bad comments to drop to express their anger lol.

What Mark Zuckerberg did here shows that he has some kind of interest in cryptocurrency, and this is my first time of seeing him mention Bitcoin, which means he might be holding some bitcoins privately, although I do know for sure that Bitcoin is part of what motivated him to take a move to create Libra (now known as Diem), just that I haven't seen him mention that word before. I believe a lot of people will also be influenced by this, and there are likely some people who are following him that doesn't know about Bitcoin and they would interest in researching and knowing about it, which is good.
3675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing bitcoin is achievement on: May 13, 2021, 04:21:07 PM
I have seen that bitcoin is important and everyone wants to have it even me if I have the money and opportunity to get 1btc I will engage in sincere activity to have it, and bitcoin is viral, because the things I heard concerning bitcoin in news always interest me, but the problem is that what will I do to know bitcoin more better
Alright, knowing about Bitcoin is an achievement , but the next question is what you're gaining from that achievement; yup, unless you are not interested in really gaining from it, and you just want to be making use of it for simply making transactions online, because I know a lot of people that are not interested in investing their money in Bitcoin, they just want to be using it to receive money and also send to other. It's all about making sure that what you have discovered is really working for you, and not just sitting there and doing nothing.

There are lots of ways that you can get to learn a lot of things about Bitcoin and you can start with websites that talks about cryptocurrency, like Coindesk which is really popular and has a lot of explanation articles, and also Cointelegraph, which is helpful as well. YouTube is your next place to learn more about cryptocurrency, but I think Coindesk can help you start from the basic.
3676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: May 13, 2021, 02:24:15 PM
I only spend my spare money in gambling if ever I wanted to play gambling, because gambling isn't the one for me, I admitted that for a very long time ago that's why I didn't get addicted to it.
Most of gamblers are the ones who started their gambling only on spare time. If you are not conscious enough then you may get addicted like most others. I mean everyone feels like gambling is only for rich or easy-money seekers but over the time, they will find themselves engaging in gambling all the day long.

there's nothing to worry about the limit of my gambling time as I can still control myself when to stop, that is usually when my extra funds are already depleted.
As long as you will not be arranging extra funds for your gambling, you may escape.

Having control on our mind and emotions will be the key. Better develop any other strong hobbies or fall in love because only then you can completely forget gambling and you may get chances to save those extra funds for your better future.
3677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling risks during coronavirus pandemic on: May 13, 2021, 10:12:55 AM
if you warn those people, we can't do anything with it as they've decided to do it. And they might going to stop only if they've realized that it's not doing them getting any better.
Every advice/recommendation works that way; it may end up effective changes or may go up all in vain as well. But, being a gambler and seeing others how they are slowly moving toward the point of getting gambling addictions the we cannot simply move-on; we will try to warn those naive gamblers and then it is up to them to listen or ignore. Only suggesting/warning alone we can provide and not everyday care and and awareness.

Still, I believe if we warn people regularly then they may start realizing the hidden truth behind our words. If you notice, this forum and gamblers from this community is continuously warning against gambling addictions and I am sure many people might have benefitted from that.
3678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 12, 2021, 09:28:01 PM
I don't know why they are caught up in this moment but I think people know the risks yet they still try. Was it appropriate for him to call the gambling firm wrong or he was right? (See the last part of the article or better read the 3 mins. article instead)
I guess people do not really end up gambling because they are addicts, they are addicts because they gamble. What I mean is you do not know if you would be a good gambler who just does it time to time with a small amount you can lose, or if you are a person who would get in and lose 20 thousand pounds when you get addicted, it is really weird.

I personally do not feel like I could do anything like that, not that I have the money for doing it anyway but I probably won't do that at all, it would not make any sense. This means there are some people out there, probably kids right now who will grow up, and they have no idea what kind of gambler they are, maybe you will be fine and spend 50 quids on it per month, or maybe you will get addicted and go crazy and lose everything you ever owned, nobody knows until they try and that is a scary feeling to be honest.
3679  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 12, 2021, 09:06:26 PM
How much did you lose in 3 weeks precisely? Because AFAIK Funfair didn't go down in USD neither in BTC during the last 3weeks.
It was at 63sats and 0.034$ exactly 3 weeks ago, so you rather should have earn money from your holding position so far in addition to the free money you got in satoshis and RP points from your WOF spins, your interest bonus and your rakeback.
Do not forget that you also get a higher interest rate and other perks like ticket which should only be valid if you win, but at least gives you a better chance to win. Long story short like I always say, even if it goes down to 1 satoshi one day, that means we are still profiting from this fun token in the long run, it is integrated into freebitcoin.

This is a major change that doesn't get enough credit for what it is, people are talking about it like it is just another token and that's it, but people do not talk about how this changes freebitcoin so much. This place has been a great place for years, it has been one of the most visited crypto websites in the world for years, they didn't had to change anything, they could have gone the same forever and they would have still made so much money, but they improved it so much with this, it is incredible.
3680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Most Important To Creating A Successful Cryptocurrency on: May 12, 2021, 08:40:16 PM
These are needed but not limited to. It means just because of having all these will not guarantee big success for a coin. Have seen many good concept based coins got failed due to lack of supporters. It means devs must work on convincing new investors all the times. If a project fails to attract new investors then it may get heavily dumped and the slowly will get delisted from exchanges.

When a project remain attractive for new investors and for existing investors to keep holding their coins/tokens?
It will remain attractive when new features being added and roadmaps is getting updated regularly and when devs interact with crypto community in social media etc.

Overall, active dev team is the most important requirement for success of a coin.
It is not easy to convince people to join and stay there, I have been part of few projects and I can tell you that people come in, increase the price, sell at the top and then drop the price so much that in the end you have nothing else, you end up basically a coin that dropped over 80% with nowhere to go because it used all the marketing budget.

Unfortunately in crypto world unless you go over this huge hump and become wildly known and loved or you have insane amount of money for creating one, you are going to be just a project that people look to make a quick buck and nothing more, that is the only thing and there is not much more to it at all. You can't stop people from buying, and you can't stop them from selling if people want to make a profit they will do it and they may not care at all what you want to achieve with the project as long as they can make a quick profit.
