Yup its definitely an obsession not an addiction.

Be it an obsession, an addiction or even an infection lol, i don't really care about the proper grammar at this point. The thing is that it is better i am addicted, obsessed or even infected with something that gives me money rather than something that takes money away from me.

Bitcoin has been and will be a blessing to many, it has changed lives and giving some hope. It has brought freedom. Bitcoin is a good addiction, obsession or even an infection.  Grin

Meaning: Exercise caution when trying out something new

3663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: August 29, 2021, 12:10:49 PM
I remember purchasing some bitcoin then even without knowing what it was. I remember that a friend then spoke to me about a certain scheme called "zarfund" that the currency used was something called bitcoin that we had to purchase with fiat, we later found out that this scheme was a ponzi because it quickly followed after the fall of MMM Ponzi. But on the platform then was were i had my first bitcoin that amounted to 0.03btc then, we were expecting it to grow through crowd funding, so i never secured it. Unfortunately i lost it all when the website suddenly went offline, this was sometime in 2016.

3665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cuba central bank now recognize Bitcoin on: August 29, 2021, 03:28:21 AM
i thought the cuba government didnt like things from outside their country as they still live in the stone age...

They may not like it, but for them to move forward, they have to adjust...
Cuba's recognition of bitcoin as a legal tender is all motivated and driven by the bid for the country to completely discourage and avoid the use of the dollars which sanctions have made difficult for them to make use of and had weakened their economy.

The government must have recognised that the lot of the younger generations in cuba already adopted cryptocurrency use as a way to buy things online from other countries and it has been going smoothly for them, so why not just dump the dollars that is causing them problems and adopt crypto.
This is a good solution to their economic problem, congratulations Cuba, El Salvador did it, you are doing it, i'm certain others will follow soon.
3666  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency trading have helped the youth. on: August 28, 2021, 05:58:20 PM
Trading cryptocurrencies: Trading cryptocurrencies is one of the simplest and most popular ways to make money with cryptocurrencies.

You make it sound so easy and tempting that any beginner or newbie will quickly create a short mental timeframe in his or her mind for them to make this money from cryptocurrency trading that you are talking about.

To really make money from trading, a good capital is very important and a good technical knowledge is importanter (Permit me to say, lol).

It is the process of purchasing and selling coins, such as when the price is low and waiting for the price to rise before selling.

Yes, but the technical part is knowing which to buy, when to buy it, when to hodl and when to sell because you may spread your capital and buy a coin, and you may have to wait for a year or more for it to rise (a bad investment if you are a short term trader). Or you may experience some other situations old traders have faced. So crypto trading is not just about buying random coins, there is an analysis aspect that newbies need to told about.
3667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 28, 2021, 05:27:39 PM
Team lineup for Liverpool and Chelsea

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Kelleher, Konate, Thiago, Keita, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Jota, Tsimikas.

Chelsea (3-4-3): Mendy; Azpilicueta (c), Christensen, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kante, Alonso; Havertz, Lukaku, Mount

Subs: Kepa, Chilwell, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech, Werner

Both Teams looking strong looking at the fielded sqauds and its anybodies game for this fixture and honestly I won't be putting any money on this game, too toughto call.

The referee just killed the game with that first half final minute red card to James, the penalty was a good decision, but i feel the red card was undeserved.

That was a blockbuster first half to watch, congratulations to Salah on his 99th goal for Liverpool. The premier League is on fire!

I hope that in the second half, the one man down Chelsea will be able to make tactical changes match the tempo.
If you played this game "both to score", congratulations to you too, your bet has entered.
3668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Monthly target in trading. on: August 28, 2021, 01:42:45 PM
Growing up, we were taught about plans and goals and that in making plans, we should also do well to write them down so they become goals.

Writing down plans is a very important as it helps us to be able to see our thoughts and what we want physically, it pushes us and our brains to function in a certain way to achieve the plan.

At the start of the new month,  I want to pen down the amount  i plan to make (monthly target)  from trading cryptocurrency and my other businesses by the end of the month.

-Have you ever tried out this strategy of writing down the amount you wish to make trading every month? If yes, please share your experience.

This match between Manchester City and Arsenal was over even before it started, we all know that this was what was coming..
Honestly Arsenal is really in a bad place right now....they just cannot compete at the moment, and a real overhaul is needed to fix the team otherwise don't expect a win anytime soon for the gunners.

Found this on my friends WhatsApp status, i say this is very perfect for the state Arsenal is in.

Could this be the most terrible start Arsenal has had to the season?

How is Arsenal going to cope?

Even if xhaka didn't make that silly tackle that earned him a red card, i still believe that arsenal will still be the loosers at the end. It is time for Arteta to leave, the signs are obvious. This seems like the only solution at the moment.

3670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 27, 2021, 03:12:22 PM
Do you believe CR7 will go back to where it all started?

CR7 has a very good relationship with the club and even love's the club, he is considered a legend after winning three premier League, the champions League, the FA cup and others under Sir Alex. If there's any club he will love to return to in England, it is definitely Manchester United, where he is loved the most. It will be very awkward and weird to see CR7 in another English team jersey. Right now i feel CR7 is not just playing for money, and if his career is ending, he definitely will want to spend his last years in football for a club that loves him and where he is comfortable.

This season is going to be on fire definitely, i only pity arsenal.

...he (florentino perez) is the most appropriate person to handle the transfer of Mbappe at this time because Florentino Perez has a good ability to negotiate an agreement.

I know we are all aware that Mbappe has less than a year left on his contract and if Florentino Perez and Real Madrid can just wait a while they could get him for free or a more reasonable price considering their very huge debt. Mbappe has always made known his dream of playing for real Madrid, so securing a deal then will not be difficult.

If only Mbappe can be patient, learn more from the experience of the likes of lionel Messi that has just been an addition to the PSG team, at the end of his contract, he may just become a more experienced player with more to offer to any team that comes bidding.

3673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling control on: August 27, 2021, 05:37:52 AM
...most especially to a newbie.

Newbie or not, the emotions of winning and loosing in a bet are two states that every gambler faces.

Even before a newbie starts to gamble, he is aware that there is a bitter side to it which is loosing and the winning possibility for him is not sure so his emotions are already prepared to accept any outcome. The maturity in gambling is how quickly we come to terms with whatever the outcome from a gamble and this is what a newbie struggles with because winning and loosing are both very overwhelming emotions that he or she has not experienced before.

3674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life with a Gambler - Solution! on: August 27, 2021, 05:20:11 AM
In gambling we should only use our money, if we run out, we must go home. Don't use children's rationing, our wives to gamble because it must be very painful for them. If you want to gamble, use our personal money.

That is a good suggestion but I will stick to what other people say to me, instead of gambling, why don't you invest your money on your children and family? It is something that made me realize that I am risking my money into gambling while my family has a great future ahead of them than my gambling. I'd rather risk my money into my family rather than use it on gambling.

Good thinking, but have you also thought about the possibility of winning millions from gambling, a substantial amount that will give both you and your family joy?

A better approach for me is keeping the money you spend for gambling in check. This may be achieved by drawing up a monthly or weekly budget depending on how you earn and allocating a certain percentage of your income to gambling and then try to stick to it.
3675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart hiring ad raises bitcoin price to $48,000 on: August 27, 2021, 04:12:25 AM

In its hiring ad, Walmart said it wants to hire someone for the job position of director of blockchain products and cryptocurrencies, according to YouTube. This led to the growth in the price of Bitcoin and its passage of $48,000.

I am certain that there may be a correlation but I doubt if the job ad actually caused the price pump, the price has stayed low long enough. It’s also a big deal for Walmart to be in the crypto space. It’s comforting.  Well keeping my fingers crossed hoping it’s not one like the “Amazon crypto” story.
3676  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I'd prefer to be forex trader of my own on: August 27, 2021, 03:56:59 AM
I would prefer to learn forex trading than for me to give a forex academy to manage my fund or to trade for me.

Learning to trade on your own is long term compared to giving your capital to an individual or forex academy to trade for you which is short lived. The reason i say so is - if you learn to trade on your own, it becomes a life long skill that you are bound to become better at as long as there is constant practice from your side. Giving your capital to someone or an academy is not so advicable because if the academy or person doesn't teach you how to trade, if anything happens that stops the trading of this individual or academy, that may be the end of your trading career.
3677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2020 caused a spike in gambling issues on: August 26, 2021, 07:16:33 PM

What do you think would be the best option to those that are experimenting these issues right now? Should they stop watching sports forever as this is the trigger that causes them to gamble without control or should another solution be possible?

To stop watching sports might be very impossible to achieve as it is very difficult to do... If it were possible for our app developers to look towards developing an app that people can gamble with a sort of Virtual currency that doesn't have any value outside the application, and also make rhe app to be able to run on both the ios and Android platform, it will be pf great benefit to compulsive gamblers.

Also, self help groups are a great option as well, linking and having conversations with people that are in same shoes as you always helps.so find one and join in.
3678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 26, 2021, 06:21:33 AM

Would you be able to do it? Playing the same numbers over and over again like this? Because I know that I will not have the patience to do this during 30 years.

If there's an informant that has advised me to play same numbers because of the certainty of winning, i may consider it, but on my own without any heads up, i don't think i can even play same numbers for a year without finding the whole process and gambling experience boring.

Thinking of how much he must have lost to playing the same number over the 30years duration. I'd say $18million is good compensation to him.

Can he get over the same number gambling now!
3679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google starts accepting Bitcoin ads on: August 26, 2021, 06:14:58 AM
Google has begun to accept advertisements for Bitcoin, and Google lifted its ban on advertisements related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin ads can be seen almost everywhere on the internet nowadays. I do hope the ban lift will  translate into massive awareness and adoption by both the undecided and the skeptics. I also hope they work hard to ensure that they are able to review the ads for scams Because I wouldn’t want to see “tell me your seedphrase” after clicking on an ads. One more thing is that they should extend this to include other cryptocurrencies as well.
3680  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: August 25, 2021, 04:55:51 AM

For me at age 10 my children should understand the market and how it works, interpreting chats and deciding the next move of each coin from studying the price action of different coins. At age 13 the should start trading with a demo account and at age 15 they should have funded their first account. This would help them become financially independent, also help then limit future gambling prowess and also make them prepared for their careers

What do you think?

If your children are tech savvy at age 10 maybe as a result of exposure, telling them or introducing them to the market without enforcing them to do so at the detriment of the childhood and experiences is a good idea to me.

At that age, children are very excited and curious about technology, the internet and electronic devices, so instead of letting them know the entertainment part of technology ( video games, cartoons, movies, internet etc) alone, it is best you also tell them or even show them about the most important part, the part where you can make money from as well which is trading (Crypto or forex) and others.

This early introduction will serve as a sensitisation to them that will awake an interest more as they grow.
