3661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 06, 2023, 09:30:33 PM
I think to quit gambling, it is important to find a positive activity to replace the time and energy previously spent on gambling. Find satisfaction in activities that promote development, such as sports, learning new skills or developing intellectual interests.
Let the changes be challenging, but only with effort can you succeed and enjoy a fulfilling and creative life.
Yes having a suitable replacement makes everything worth it because if you leave an addiction in a vacuum it means you may slide back to it but if there is a replacement it becomes hard for the addict to slide back since he/she will be engaged in more active and pleasurable activities that will keep the mind away from gambling.
3662  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My Simple Solution For Speedy P2P Trading on: July 06, 2023, 08:14:08 PM
First of all, I see this thread as needless because the thread lacks every necessary content to serve as advice or what so ever as regarding p2p,  and for your information when you say p2p it means exchange of coin vs fiat as the first comment mentioned and all the other p2p on the centralized exchange both binance and Kucoin are all middle ground for buyers and sellers to meet to exchange their crypto into fiat.

From your explanation, it is far from that and even at that you failed to achieve the aim of this thread when you never mentioned anything regarding binance.
3663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: July 06, 2023, 08:06:24 PM

This has happened to me once when I was a beginner in gambling. A friend introduced a crypto casino site to me saying it has a good promotions and bonuses from free spins and free play. I was too excited since my friend has been earning a lot daily from it. I thought the same thing would happen to me until they have held my funds when I was about t withdraw my funds.
The support have told me that it is indicated in their terms of services that I should tripple my winnings from free spins before I was able to them which my friend isn't aware of as well.
That's when I realized that reading the Terms of services right from the beginning is too important so we'll never feel disappointed if they will require us a specific wagering percentage.
For the fact that we that gambling sites always work the system to always put the casino at advantage of the players and rapping all that up with the so wagering requirement to fulfil regulatory compliance and all that comes with it,  it is then important for the player to always read the terms and conditions of a casino even before attempting to create an account with them.

But obviously, some players still make the mistake of first depositing and playing before reading the terms and conditions and in most cases, it is when they run into a problem that they will read the terms of service.

      -   Well, of course, for gamblers who only think of it as entertainment, it's easy for them. Because gambling isn't a big deal to them, it's just a pastime. But for gamblers who see this as a source of income, I think they will find it difficult to quit, especially if they often win here, let say once a week they win a good amount here.

And the worst scenario is that if a gambler is still addicted, it is very difficult for sure for those addicted to gambling because there is no self-control in gambling.
Well, most of the gambling addicts are made up of those for take gambling as means of having entertainment and at some point since those who are gambling for the money will easily quit when they run out of money since it is all about the money for them,  unlike the person playing for the fun,  he or she will see the money as just a means to gamble more and he does not care whether he lose or win the ultimate thing for him is fun.

So that can lead the player into addictions in the long run.

Swiss company Shiftcrypto needs your feedback on self-custody. To thank you for your participation, the company is offering a bit box (hardware wallet) in a prize draw.

See you there  Wink
Nice idea because I will like to win one of that crypto hardware  wallet devices in the review campaign even though we have a lot of classification to be made in the winner selection process because just like a user pointed out in the main thread,  the process of selection of the prize winners may be hard since the is no columns on the survey form were we can insert our forum user name to easily sort out members submission.
3667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual bug? on: July 04, 2023, 10:10:11 PM
Note that, the casino system is designed to favour the house and for that, if there is no fairness in the system it then means the casino is at liberty to treat the gambler in whichever their can and so long as the casino is a business outfit,  it then means that there will do everything possible to protect their interest.

So even in a sure winning bet,  the casino doesn't mind manipulating the games just to suit their own interest against that of the player.
3668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 03, 2023, 11:59:07 PM

because it depends on the person himself, if he is up to collecting affiliates or not. because if you are an introvert person, you won't waste your time looking for others to be your affiliate. you are just happy playing on your own.
I think you may have misconception about the subject of affiliates and how it works because playing on your own doesn't have anything to do with your affiliate program if you subceibeyto any of them and as a matter of fact affiliate program is all about the earning and not the games you enjoy playing.

So the income is calculated based on a number of wagering that is done by both the affiliate and the referee.
3669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: July 03, 2023, 10:54:16 PM
Depends on which lottery providers are you playing with.

If it's online lottery, they most certainly have a time period for you to collect your winnings. Same goes with physical lotteries - they have a period in which you collect your winnings, and if you do not collect it at that time period, that amount will either go back to the organization or be donated to certain charities. It depends mainly on the organization handling the lottery; they have different rules on claiming your prize.
When it comes to online lotteries,  I have participated in quite a few of them in the past and their rewards are paid into you account on the casino you bought the ticket,  so long as you gat the winning number your rewards wi be credited into your account.

I do a good number of them and also lost some,  but in all it depends on the casino and before I buy any lottery ticket,  I always check to know what are the criteria and rules guiding their services.
3670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 03, 2023, 10:09:04 PM
Why not possible, I think anything is possible as long as Liverpool agree to the value PSG are asking for Mbappe.
The problem is Liverpool, of course if they want to sign Mbappe then Liverpool will have to spend a lot of money from their pocket so that PSG wants to let him go. Mbappe is in demand by many clubs, but I also don't believe Liverpool will really seal a deal with PSG over Mbappe.
Even if Liverpool has no problem with Mbappe price, how if Mbappe isn't interested in Liverpool offer?
I believe Mbappe will move to Real Madrid hen he decides to leave PSG. Everyone knows that playing in Real Madrid is his dream, it should be his priority. Moreover, Real Madrid is he only club that always try to sign him from PSG, it shows that Real Madrid is the most serious club to sign Mbappe. I'm very sure Mbappe respects the effort of Real Madrid.

Mbappe is interested in joining Real Madrid, I have heard about it a lot. But Real Madrid themselves didn't put too much effort into signing him and approached PSG openly and made an offer. Real Madrid only seemed to have made a personal agreement with Mbappe's representatives, and perhaps it was Real Madrid's way of bringing Mbappe to the Bernabeu for free.
How can Real Madrid doesn't put much efforts?
Real Madrid already tried to sign him many times, they are just unlucky because PSG wants Mbappe to stay a longer time. PSG even gives him special rights for him as a player to ensure Mabppe stays in PSG. However, I heard that Mbappe doesn't want to extend his contract in PSG now, it indicates he wants to leave the club. Well, Real Madrid will get a better chance to sign him.

Mbappe might just stay for the next season with PSG, with looks of things. Even if his move to Real Madrid is sure, with Messi gone, if he goes, the team might struggle to win matches. Neymar can't do it all alone. Not as if other players can't do the job, is just that these players are simply exceptional and can turn the tide of the game in a matter of secs.
Messi has had to leave, the vacuum he left isn't going to be as much when Mbappe leaves. He is an embodiment of what french football stands for and a home grown talent of French origin.
Where best to go than to where the greats like Zizu played, that's Real Madrid.
I wish he'd come play for Arsenal though!

I guess Real Madrid have made multiple positive moves to bring in the best players to the club and targeting mbappe is one of those moves that is succeeded and could change the current state of the club in the next season,  but also we have to take into accounts the possibility of the player being retained in his present club since his contract has not expired and unless he is going on a loan which is an option know real Madrid will not accept.
3671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 03, 2023, 09:59:54 PM
Well, if I must be sincere, I would say that I am not certain that online casino take the issue of underaged gambling serious at all, and this days, it is even possible for some underaged gamblers to pass kyc verification either by submitting a faked/forged documents or using the documents belonging there older relatives for the verification..

Unless for the few casinos who doesn't care about their reputation that doesn't take underage gambling serious because most of the reputable casinos like stake make sure that a new player pass the level 1 kyc before they able to make either deposit or place a bet of the site and apart from that if the player supplied fake information and documents for verifications,  it still doesn't mean there will not be caught if the casino is really serious in doing so.

But where underage gambling is rampant is in physical casinos since those kids don't need IDs to gain access to those casinos because as long as they have the money to waste,  most of the casinos will welcome them with open hands.
3672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: July 03, 2023, 09:27:05 PM
Getting the gamblers into debt is not something a legit betting agent would go.
This guy(the betting agent) is most likely a gangster/mobster. I know that the gangsters, who a operate a gambling business always want to hook more gamblers by giving them credit and making them their "slaves". The combination of a "loan shark" service and a gambling business is pretty dangerous for the gamblers and borrowing money from such gangsters might totally ruin their lives.

You have a very good point there,  because, from the action of the gambling agent, he seems to be comfortable and used to the incident because even though I try to Enlightened him of the danger of his action and how he risk losing the money or paying from his salary he was acting as if it not possible and that brought me to the conclusion that his mode of operations.

And just like you rightly said,  his aims may be to enslave the gambler truly and if care is not taken,  this is not the first time they are having such an agreement to allow the player to gamble on credit.
3673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you, or would you ever use a Bitcoin ATM? on: July 03, 2023, 09:15:38 PM

I am pretty sure that most (if not all) of the BATMs that are buy only, they still are accepting cash.. that is their main value proposition.  If you are using credit/debit card to buy bitcoin, then you would not need cash for that, but surely those kinds of machines would seem to be way less useful.. and so why not just have an App for that?  In other words, the physical presence of a machine seems to be useful for dealing with cash whether they have both buying and selling of bitcoin or if they ONLY have buying.
Well, I am very sure that Bitcoin ATM users will avoid those Bitcoin ATMs that are configured for buy only because since those BATMs most time request for ID scam before if usage and transaction it then means that the Bitcoin ATMs for buy only are drawing us closer to centralization since that bitcoin bought through the buy only BATMs are traceable to individuals since there is a submission of IDs.

But I can still use Bitcoin ATMs to either withdraw Bitcoin to cash or better still use Bitcoin ATMs to pay for merchants or at POS for retail shopping.
3674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 03, 2023, 09:09:14 PM
I have seen a good number of people benefiting greatly from referral programs and mostly those that have people that wager a lot under them are the ones making the most out of referral programs and if you see anyone complaining about referral affiliate programs being a way of times it means there have not truly and entirely taken part in the affiliate programs the way there should and that is affecting their earnings.

I have seen some people that have only one down as affiliate marketers and they are not making any attempt to make any improvement to that situation,  this could be the reason why some people see affiliates as a waste of time.
3675  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: July 03, 2023, 08:01:56 PM
where there are a lot of street gamblers, but even as a gambler myself, I've never tried relating with such street gamblers simply because street gambling has never been my thing, and I don't think it will ever be, their lifestyles alone disgust me and reason why I keep away even farther from such gamblers.
I agree with you on the part that self-control plays a vital role in our everyday lives and the way we interact with others within the same environment,  and just like you said,  birds of the same feeder flock together and if people are not of the same mindset there is no way there will be attracted to the same thing.

Environmental influence may be high individual character development,  but then having self-control can help one to avoid all those stuff that can negatively affect us.
3676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verified twitter, telegram account is the strong point for a new project? on: July 03, 2023, 07:43:56 PM
My friend informed me that at this time many upcoming project social account like Twitter, telegram is verified.
Does that mean these projects can be trusted?
Having a verified social media account doesn't guarantee the legitimacy of the project and since we know the current situation with most of the social media platforms where everything is being monetized.

Twitter since Elon Musk take over have gone through a series of reform and a lot have changed getting a blue badge is now easier as long as the team can pay the fees,  but it doesn't mean anything in terms of project guarantee or security of investors funds.

In fact, many are encouraged to invest in any new project following this.
What is your opinion on this matter?

3677  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is Stake.com allowed to lock account with $6,000 untill I lose it all? on: July 03, 2023, 07:35:48 PM

It is indeed unfair to the players to be subject to endless KYC processes and this mostly happens when the customer wants to either withdraw or deposit an amount higher than $5,000 gamble should be aware of that risk and try to make their transactions below that amount.

It is a lesson for everyone to learn about KYC when it is requested that is why we need to make enquiry about a casino procedure for KYC and if we are not satisfied on it we can walk away and check the next door. It is not just about the amount to be withdrawn but to be sure we get the KYC verified before committing to stake. If for example KYC was already verified then when there is no release of funds, that becomes a pure red light for possible scams.
I agree with you on that,  the big lesson there is that it is better and more easier to pass through KYC when it is not triggered but opted in by the player from the beginning,  this is why I always advise people to always perform at least level one KYC at the point of registration as long as you already trust the casino and want to play on the site.

Handing out KYC documents is not too much of a big deal,  if you don't have anything to hide like users in the US have been facing this level of restriction and verification demand since most casinos in that region are regulated.
3678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 03, 2023, 07:09:10 PM
Depends on the amount you have won for sure. Well, many players are having the idea of winning as well, likewise with the few who won big time. But once you got in such position, perhaps winning the jacpit, there is a high tendency for you to play more and longer. Reason is the excitement and greed you will feel in such moment. But this is not to generalize; there are people who managed to get out of gambling industry after winning big time. Bottomline depends on the kind of gambler you are. Once you let your emotions play, things would be different for sure. Ofcourse it would be better to be able to quit the moment you got such idea. Problems arise once you struggle.
You are right and I have been a victim of this on multiple times and it is not funny how it feels when you lost almost everything trying to chase more winning or getting carried away by the excitement of the first winning.

So since that bad experience,  I have learned to make sure I take off all the winning once the games are over and there after I take a break for a while to cool off because it has been proven times without number how not setting self-limit has ended gamblers in bad situation or corner for multiple numbers of time so it is important to set that limit in place before venturing into playing any games.
3679  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is Stake.com allowed to lock account with $6,000 untill I lose it all? on: July 03, 2023, 07:03:41 PM
this is an old scam practice of the sites. endless verification for nervousness and playing the balance. countless have been cheated like this.
 Embarrassed
Despite the fact that some shady casino could make the KYC procedure so unbearable and unrealistic,  it is important for us to make sure we have all the available evidence to prove the injustice of those casinos and how we nail them in the end.

It is indeed unfair to the players to be subject to endless KYC processes and this mostly happens when the customer wants to either withdraw or deposit an amount higher than $5,000 gamble should be aware of that risk and try to make their transactions below that amount.
3680  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: July 03, 2023, 05:30:11 PM
~snip~
That is a logical conclusion surely, the casino AI will win the battle since there is a house edge factor by their side. I doubt anyone can be smart enough to use AI for beating the house edge. Casino games have some variables that show when and how much players can win. These seeds are created in the perfect math formulas and no matter which tool the players use it is impossible to beat the house edge in the long run. Just my 2 cents.
I also think about what you said because casinos don't want their business to lose because of the wins of players who use AI. A casino can do a lot to keep winning, and we know that the casino will win. But maybe some gamblers have successfully used AI to beat the house edge but not many. But it's still the casino that will win because many gamblers will experience defeat in the long run.
Because of the revenue generation motive of the casino, to make it more impossible for the players under whatever guise to defeat the casino and this is why most bots are detected long before their even think of winning a bet from the casino.

And I am sure that in the case of AI, it won't see any positive outcome in the long run since AI is already a well-known development and casinos know it's potential and strength so there will prepare for its possible usage in their casino.
