3661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 14, 2021, 03:44:26 AM
Nuggets started pretty bad, in first quarter their field goal percentage was awful except Monte Morris. Still points difference is not much, so they are in the game.
Suns would like to finish this series tonight, defense looks good. Nuggets need to do some extra work, otherwise it will be over for them.
8 points difference at half, things are going good for Suns.

That's how Nuggets has been in this series, they give up early lead for the Suns. And Phoenix is good at protecting their lead. So if you look at the series, Nuggets doing the catch up and always fell short. It was a disappointing sweep. Star MVP was ejected, Chris Paul can't missed his shot, then they play good defense down the stretch to close out the Nuggets. The curse of winning the regular MVP and then not bringing your team to the finals, thats definitely hurt Jokic here.
3662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Goes Down From a Celebrity on: June 14, 2021, 03:24:50 AM
Why do people have to consider words from a celebrity to be correct?

It's because people thinks they have the 'authority', that's why majority follow their tweets and then react positively and negatlively.

This is a case a concern for sure. People are not able to think for themselves in some case. Which can create a very dangerous situation for themselves and even an entire community with this mindset.

Unfortunately, this is true, and that's why we have leaders and then we have followers. But we do have a choice though, we really need to make that important decision, not just in crypto, but it applies in every aspect of our life.

Why would anyone invest lots of money into a project that is quite obvious has no involvement by any people? Referring to Dogecoin and people who invested into it. This is like going to an empty store that is closed and dropping your money into the mailbox just for the fun of it.
In this case it is Elon Musk saying it would a great idea to dump money at an empty store.

Greed for one, they thought that they can make a lot money in Dogecoin. The whole market is full of this individuals, others became super rich, but majority losses because they chooses to follow and didn't used their common sense.
3663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: June 13, 2021, 11:06:39 AM
So far 16 votes for Lomachecnko and only one vote for  Nakatani,  the guy who voted believes that Nakatani can upset Loma, the only way you can upset Loma is through a lucky punch if the boxer is not of Lopez caliber, Nakatani is good but he is not on Lopez caliber, if it goes the distance Loma will win, he is very fast always on timing and always frustrating his opponent.

And maybe after Loma win, we can compare how him and Lopez approach the Nakatani fight. Teo Lopez was extended to 12 rounds if I'm not mistaken and he was touch by Nakatani several times in their fight. And if Loma come here to win by knockout or win by decision unscathed, then we can argue that Loma is still a great fighter and should be respected by Lopez and should be given a rematch. So we will see, it's less than a week now. And for sure we will see a lot of this fight in boxing media.
3664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 13, 2021, 10:40:10 AM
I'm half thinking of betting on Tsitsipas ahead of Djokovic, their head to head is 5-2 to
Djokovic so obviously Tsitsipas has beaten Djokovic as late as Rome last month.

Tsitsipas is building his aggression in matches is imo is really leading the field in
breaking the hold of the "Top 3". Yes as I type this I'm convincing myself to bet Tsitsipas.

Yes, Tsitsipas might have a good chance against Djokovic. If there is a tournament wherein the young gen wanted to assert themselves, then this is one of them. I do hope that Tsitsipas will show and come fire with fire. He almost beat Djokovic in their last match if I'm not mistaken, he leads 1-0 and up in the second set, but due to the rain, it was suspended and when they come back, Tsitsipas lost all the momentum he had.

I'll probably go with Tsitsipas to outright win, ML, just a small bet as I can watch the game locally at 9:00 pm here.
3665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 13, 2021, 10:03:17 AM
Clippers was expected to win the first game at home. Leonard and PG won't let a 3-0 happen as it's very difficult to bounce back with such huge deficit.
Luckily, the whole game 3 was a relief for those who bet a spread for the Clippers as they are maintaining a double digit lead, and ends up with a huge win.

Tomorrow, Bucks vs Nets is such an exciting game. Who do you think will win?
Me, I'm guessing the Nets will win a close game tomorrow.
The only reason they are down 2-0 is that PG is not aggressive enough to score at the same time he have lots of off night, in-game 3 we see paul George is eager to score and don't hesitate on his shots, just like when he's in the pacers uniform if he can duplicate his games like when he's in the pacers ill bet they can be in the finals this year, but if not, for sure in this series they will not make it.

He has been in this sort of slump since the Dallas series, just sort of average performance from a player such as PG character. But eventually like any great players, they can break this slump and have one of their best game. And it shows in game 3 that's why there able to get a win against Utah Jazz. And as I have said, this could be a momentum shift for the Clippers. And if they can duplicate this kind of performance next game, expect the series to go on 7 game clincher. They are going to be the favourite going game 4 again.
3666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 13, 2021, 09:36:59 AM
^^ Yeah, Pandemic George become Playoff George, this is what we have been waiting for him to do for the Clippers in the playoffs, at least carry the team and compliment Kawhi at all angles.

And I agree this is momentum shift, if they can keep this level of basketball, they can tie the series next game. The opening line for this game is -1.5 so they have covered it with some extra for those we decided to went -2.5 and -3.5.
3667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 12, 2021, 09:39:50 AM
What can you say about the Suns and the Nuggets though?

Lost my bet on Nuggets, I thought that they can at least win a win to make it 2-1. It's their home court, but Phoenix started very hot in the first quarter and I think the closest that the Nuggets was about 6 points and then Suns with Booker and CP3 again carrying the load.

Pretty much disappointed, now they need to win 4 straight to win the series, very slim chance.
3668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What features should a good altcoin project have? on: June 12, 2021, 08:30:35 AM
When starting an investment we should evaluate the altcoin project very well. Investigate if it have use cases, what the community is like, the rewards system and what initiatives it is developing. Which altcoin project in your opinion do we have to get involved with to make a profit y why?

With the current market trend? NFT and the whole staking. So it's really up to what is the hype at any given time. Before it was IEO, 2017 it was really a boom and many investors making tons of money.

Long term? crypto's like ETH, BNB, ADA will be a good project to invest. We all know how strong they are and how is the support of the community. If you have invested on them during the bearish cycle, they you could have made profit as well, in 3 years time.
3669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 12, 2021, 07:38:36 AM
Hawks and Sixers game, too much for trae, scores are coming everywhere for the Sixers and embiid is really on a mission to be in the east finals if we remember the heartbreaking loss with the raptors, so I think that's whats motivate him so much, the sixers are making it hard for young to score and be in the zone, dominant win for the sixers to take the series lead.
It's expected to happen, thankfully I put my bet for the 76ers -3.5. Good win with the addition of over 222.5.
They are both offensive team so a high scoring game will always have a better chance to win. Trae cannot handle the offensive strength of the 76ers.
Simmons doesn't even have to score, he just need to keep his eyes with Trae which is a big mismatch.
Hawks must find a way to stop Embiid and look for another attack instead of just putting the ball to Trae which is not working anymore. 76ers found their weakness in Game 1.

Will be very difficult for the Hawks to win their series as they have close the gap on Trae Young. He can't get a good look and always contested. Capela is only good for a few quarters, but after getting into foul trouble, no one can stop Joel Embiid in the middle.

And then they have Seth Curry to contain as well, Tobias Harris being consistent on attacking. Lot of variables for Hawks to look. Trae needs to score 50 points to get close of winning a game against the 76ers.
3670  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate Tesla has sold their coins on: June 12, 2021, 07:04:47 AM
I believe he sold a big portion of his Bitcoin and made a profit from that, and he is now FUDDING Bitcoin, so he can crash it and buy it at a very low level and then pump it again since he has a lot of followers he can play a dirty game in the market and comes out clean, of course this is not right that one man is taking charge of the movement, the community must show him that we can stand on our own.

Regardless if they sold on not, Musk shouldn't release any statement that will hurt the market in general.

But he did, that's why there are a lot of speculation as what is his reason behind this FUD. It's definitely has something to do with his business, we have heard that they are going to sell solar panel so maybe this is just one reason. If they did sell on top, definitely they have profited big by this time and we can only wait for their next public release of data as whether it is true or not.
3671  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hash rate crash today? [2021-06-11] on: June 11, 2021, 12:33:09 PM
Interesting!
Does anyone know where the declining hashrate is coming from? Could it be related to the Chinese authorities cracking down on mining farms in China and closing a few overnight? That would be the only explanation for me at the moment!

Seems like this is the case, it coincide with the news that the Chinese government is cracking down on bitcoin mining. And there could be farms voluntarily shutting their services and then Chinese media putting some spin on it.

Short term it can effect the price, but there's no need to panic. Maybe this "news" is already price-in as ber bitcoin is just hovering to $36k-$37k.
3672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taproot lock in in about 20-22 hours on: June 11, 2021, 11:46:46 AM
Thanks for bringing this up, but I will say that majority here doesn't heard about this special event as this is more of the technical side. But I do hope that at least many members here will take a look at this event and see what Taproot can bring in the table for all of us. So yes, this is a very positive and welcome development for bitcoin's ecosystem.
3673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 11, 2021, 10:56:49 AM

I am surprised that Tsitsipas is clear favorite for the bookmakers in his match against zverev with odds of only 1.40 for a win of tsitsipas. I think this will be a pretty open match and it is also very much possible that zverev will advance into the final.
It could be because the bookies saw their meeting record Tsitsipas lead 5-2.
In clay season this year both had pretty good results getting one title each so as you mentioned it should be an open match where both have the same chance to win and advance to the final.

Yes, and Tsitsipas won the Lyon Open tournament last May and has been in the finals in his last 2 or 3 clay court tournaments. So I guess book makers thinks that Tsitsipas will be the overwhelming favourite and basing on the tournament itself, how many sets did he lost before reaching the semis? He has been winning 3 or 4 matches and ripping opponents, just like what Rafa has done as well.
3674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 11, 2021, 10:19:15 AM
Almost time for the Nets to beat the Bucks and bring me my money.  Grin

No Harden, no problem. The Nets have so much more talent than everyone else, we’re seeing another Warriors dynasty situation. Without the King to bring them down, they have only themselves to fear. I can only imagine how bad the blowouts would be if Aldridge had stuck around on the team.

Yeah, Nets are feeling comfortable without Harden. And since the game is on the home court of Bucks tonight, Brooklyn is the underdog. So this is a good chance for us to win good if we bet on Nets as they are torching the Bucks will their good offense with Durant.

Might be a close one, but I'm leaning towards Nets here @2.65 ML.

Almost a win but lack of time that last attempt of KD might send them to OT but not a lucky shot, KD really tried to lift everything that missed from brown was huge,

I was thinking that Nets already have this game after that 3 point made by KD More than a minute left, it was a bad decision from Brown
I guess,

Kyrie was there and he can execute a play if Brown pass back the ball, but it's a dying seconds so no one can blame Brown for taking
that shots it was a good contest from the bucks and Holiday decide to take everything that's showcasing of your toughness when
the team needed you most. Congrats!

It was a contested shot, if you look at the replay, PJ Tucker, one of the Bucks defender, put a body of KD, that's why when I saw him released the shot, I said to myself it's not going it.

Good escape win by the Bucks, and this game proved that they still need James Harden service. Joe Harris was supposedly the third option, but he has a horrendous shooting night. Blake was dominated by Lopez in the middle. So if this game boils to be a defensive one, I think Bucks has the odds on winning again in the next game.
3675  Economy / Speculation / Re: El salvador has become new history of bitcoin! on: June 11, 2021, 09:52:26 AM
Yes this day is a cause for celebration and others will follow. Also note this is Bitcoin, not crypto, not some kind of shitcoin, but Bitcoin. And they will be focusing on the Lightning network.

Hopefully there could be other countries to follow the footstep as what El Salvador this 2021.

We never thought that a Central American country like El Salvador will be the face of bitcoin in that border, but they initiate it so we should lauded their current government for the decision. And it will open up a lot of opportunities for El Salvadorian to explore the benefits of bitcoin individually. Who knows maybe next month we will see them on top of Google Searches. And give them some time, maybe Central America countries are already looking at bitcoin and make them a legal tender.
3676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Co-founder and CEO of Avenue Capital Group lamented he should have bitcoin on: June 09, 2021, 10:59:53 PM
I think you don't know to be a rocket scientist to see that bitcoin is not going to 0. For those who are claiming, it's obvious that they have their own narrative behind spreading this kind of lie. And I'm sure we have heard this many times in the past that bitcoin is dead etc, etc. And yet it is so resilient and has found it's way to $60k this year.

He could have some in his wallet, early but didn't manage to get more while bitcoin is still cheap and this is what he regrets, (just like the rest of us.)
3677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 09, 2021, 10:18:25 PM
Jazz do play like a well oiled machine. I mean they are doing very well, and that is why I believe they will have a good chance of winning the league this year, only opponent for them in my mind is Nets. However last time I said "there is no way they can lose" to a team it was Lakers, I believed they would beat Suns very easily and look where we are, which means I am not that great at assessing team talent, which is why I think there is a good amount of chance that we may not see Jazz in finals if I am wrong again.

However Clippers is not that great this year neither, they barely won against Dallas and Jazz is first seed so it wouldn't really be a shock if they ended up losing neither, it is going to be a very entertaining series to say the least. If jazz keeps playing this team ball, they are really better than anyone else, not because their team is better on paper, but because they play with full chemistry.

Clippers are also playing the same, they have good chemistry and they have a reliable leader. Jazz only won by 3 points, so it's not really a dominant performance by the Jazz, remember that this is a best of 7 series, and only 1 game was concluded, so expect a tougher battle gong forward as Clippers will certainly makes an adjustment to win.

The game was played with spurts, Clippers took the early lead, then Jazz, regain the upper hand because of their good 3 point shot. And then it was a chess battle, Jazz even Mitchell's 45 can blow by the Clippers. Just the breaks of the game.

So this game is not yet over, Clippers have been want Jazz is capable and can adjust. Yes, this will be very entertaining series. Maybe we will see Kawhi again exploding and have 40 point game as well. Too early to conclude that Utah has the upper hand in this series.
3678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 09, 2021, 04:32:56 PM
@Trofo - I think you got the +9.5 won on Schwartzman, and even if you bet for Nadal -8.5, it was still covered. Schwartzman also won a set. I haven't pull the trigger on Djokovic vs Berrettini, but I might bet for Matteo to win at least 1 set as well.

I check on the ladies side, all names are not familiar to me on the semi-final, obviously, we will crown a new French Open champion again this year. We all know how unpredictable the ladies side is, so I'm not surprised although I thought that in the beginning, Swiatek can at least defend her crown.
3679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Predict Pump and Dump scams on: June 07, 2021, 10:58:00 AM
There are hundreds of pump and dump groups out there, if will be a big risk on your part to try and anticipate the next coin they chooses because they are a lot. And not all small coins are being pump, sometimes they pump that is on top too.

Don't get me wrong, but it is a complete waste of time in your end. Why not DYOR, at least you don't have to rely to scam groups to make money. And chances are, if you do this method, the percentage might not be in favour and you might incur losses in the end.
3680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 07, 2021, 08:55:58 AM
^ I agree that Medvedev is not a clay court players, to be honest, I bet against him in his last 2 games.  Grin. So I was surprised of him still in the game and beating good clay court specialist.

Zverev is tearing this tournament and so is Tsitsipas, you just have to watch the first set and see how this 2 are performing. Hard to bet on them.

I'm taking Rafa over Sinner, maybe we can see Sinner at least winning 1 set here.
