3661  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: picostash.com - Sell digital content for cryptocoins on: July 17, 2017, 01:15:33 PM
https://picostash.com

What is it?
It basically is an easy way to sell your digital content for crypto currencies. Currently PicoStash supports Bitcoin, Litecoin and DASH (recognizes InstantSend tx.). This is a side project I started back in 2015 but only recently started working on again. Initially is was meant to be Bitcoin only but once the high fees started taking over I figured it would be nice to implement multiple currencies.
Once a customer has made a payment, it will be transferred to you automatically. No need to withdraw, this way there's never a large amount of coins in the hot wallet and your earnings are transferred to the safety of your own wallet as soon as possible.

See it in action.
Once you have uploaded your files, set a price in U.S. dollars and entered your receiving addresses (if you don't want to accept a specific coin, just leave the receiving address blank), you'll end up with a link that looks something like this:
https://picostash.com/stash/a8

Let's hear your feedback.

Good that you have launched your site and made the announcement. But just posting an announcement here won't get you lots of sellers. You need to campaign vigorously like signature campaigns, bounty programmes, etc, so that your site is shown all over the forum. Then you can expect some sellers interested, without that, it won't be of much use.

Well, I think these is the reason they started the Signature Campaign. I just hope many users get attracted to these site. I know that many other sites are doing these kind of services but having other altcoins join the fun is cool.

Thanks for the input guys. I adjusted the fees and they should be pretty competitive now. I'll definitely look into sig. campaigns/bounty programmes.

I am a member of the Signature Campaign and will be doing my job as a member of it. I've also told some of my friends about it and they seem curious about it.

3663  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: July 16, 2017, 09:45:45 PM
i dont think cryptocurrencies are better because they can not work offline and transactions are not very quick like they are in conventional money. moreover, transactions charge high feesBTC which makes their use impossible for small transactions.

Why do people hate the high fees while the price of bitcoin is so high and the people using it multiplying, the fees will obviously be having an increase too.

But the thing is, these conventional money or the fiats are far more better than digital currencies. It needs a lot of years before it needs to be compared to conventional money.
3664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2017, 02:26:31 AM
Humans fear to lose their jobs to machines. Machines are reliable, work 24/7 and ROI is way better compared to a human. So, of course, there is fear of something new, but we humans are able to adapt to new situations. Banks will use cryptos or slowly die.

But the thing about cryto currency is that you can keep them safe without the help of any banks.

As you have said, humans adapt, businesses and banks must do too so they can survive in these cruel world. But the thing, banks may reduce in the future because of the digital currencies so they are fearing them.
3665  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: July 15, 2017, 10:38:58 PM
bitcoin will face a historic event where the uasf protocol is working hard for bitcoin survival, I hope it can work so we will not always think about bitcoin unlimited, let them grow by themselves and we as the market will choose those who best.

I'm not sure that all problems will be resolved on August 1. Surely we will hear that the adoption will be postponed to another date. This is beneficial to some important people. The price of bitcoin was artificially reduced for its own purposes
The outcome after August 1 is going to be positive, we will see a big buying power once again and the dump will be over.
Taking chances of this moment to buy is a good idea, price were down heavily but it does not mean that we have to panic, just let the dumpers do their thing because in the end they will all be victims of their lack of knowledge, soon when price will start to recover, they will be buying again like crazy.

I just hope so, what will happen on August 1 will be a result that will also predict the future of bitcoin, whether it will develop or not.

I think if SegWit is not implemented, I don't know when will bitcoin be having a development. This time ia the time where bitcoin must be developed and be implemented by Segwit, though many people are against it, we must look forward and move on.
3666  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: July 15, 2017, 11:49:22 AM
Cashless society using bitcoins. It is good to know that we live in the world of technology now.

A cashless society is still far from happening, if you can notice it right now, bitcoin is just accepted by some countries, cash or fiats are still circulating in our societies and it will be circulating our societies for another hundred years before the digital currencies became a threat to fiats.
3667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 15, 2017, 06:26:25 AM
its 2000 now

So, what are you suggesting? Buy now? Well, if that is the case they will, but what if it dumps more, that will just disappoint and make them regret that they've bought earlier.

I think it is really better to invest your own money into another digital currency. With the threat of bitcoin having a network splitting this August, it is good to put them on another coin with a good possibility.
3668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: July 14, 2017, 10:37:04 PM
If you are not superstitious then you likely aren't gambling. In any bet you are probably going to lose your money. So why do that? Perhaps because you think the odds will be different for you? Maybe your prayers will be answered or your "lucky" rabbits foot will help? A cold mathematical look at gambling shows it to be a foolish act.

If you are looking at it from a rational point of view then it does not make sense, but many gamble just to get some fun, so instead of being seen as something where math needs to be applied then you need to view it as a form of entertainment and in that case gambling is not that different than to watch a movie in a cinema or parachuting.
If you are into a gambling you may really wanna have a superstition because you tend to like the game and you thought this as a sign of luck considering you already have a skills. You just added this beliefs to secure that your luck is always on your side, sometimes this is other factor of the pro gamblers. Even if they lose they tend to change the pace it by analyzing it using their superstition beliefs and instinct.
I really don't think that superstition beliefs have to do with your gambling I really think it doesn't affect your game.
Maybe you are just fooling yourself and thinking that what happened in the bet was all because of your superstitious beliefs.

Superstitious beliefs depends on what and how is their culture being cultivated, so if that person is deep connected with their culture, his or her superstitious beliefs are deep too.

I am saying that superstitions beliefs has no scientific explanations, which means it all depends on their belief in their culture and experience, maybe someone experienced something lucky when they done something before going to a casino or logging in a gambling site and have seen or believed that it is lucky.
3669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is betting a good choice for a newbie? on: July 14, 2017, 04:02:30 PM

Lets says that he has money and he can afford it wheather to gamble or to invest. I would choose to invest it rather to gamble since it would 50-50 probability to win.
Invest?? Invest to what? All Investment has risk, I personally think if you keep the Money with you you will rot it, the money in flow adds value. Whether it is trading or gambling all is investment ,Gambling gets you high return in very quick time whereas Trading can take some time.

Maybe he is talking about investing in projects or maybe investing at the same gambking site. The problem is, the topic asked by the OP doesn't invlolve investing but just gambling for the newbie.

I don't fully understand the question, newbie in what? Gambling? Or that type of gambling. What if that newbie was a poker player, but you just called him newbie because it is his first time playing another gambling game. Either the of the choices, I prefer not to gamble especially as a newbie, you can save yourself from the darkness of addiction and suffering.
3670  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: July 13, 2017, 10:58:20 PM
If by bank you mean a centralized entity to control bitcoin, of course not. If by bank you mean a financial institution to hold customers BTC and speculatively invest it in exchange for interest then i see no problem.

That is right, we don't need an entity to control or keep these digital currency for us, the reason it has a feature of decentralized means we don't need someone but just ourselves.

Why do we need banks if we can save our bitcoin ourselves? There are a lot of wallets that will ensure the safety of our coins, we ourselves are enough to make our coins safe.
3671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 13, 2017, 07:28:32 AM
For example, I'm a student and I earn a lot of money by bitcoin.

A student may be hardworking, he/she might be having a lot of his time focused on earning and trading bitcoin, but there is no way that it will make someone instantly rich.

Earning some money while you are a student is really great, you are helping yourself, you are being independent. But still, earning bitcoin is not enough, you really need a stable and a good job before you vet rich.
3672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: July 13, 2017, 05:28:19 AM
Those are all good points but cash can be used for ANYTHING, unlike bitcoin, sadly

That is right, bitcoin has still it's limits on using them, the fact that a small population know about bitcoin means it has a small population of users. If that is the case, there will be some stores accepting bitcoin, but not really so many, they are still a few stores accepting them. But in terms of using them in an investment, I think I will be going with bitcoin.
3673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][Bounty] Official SkyWay $1M Bounty Campaign Thread on: July 12, 2017, 05:53:41 AM
I think it's great project. I'm very intested your signature and avater campaign. I'm joined your signature campaign.

I did too, it is a really good project.
3674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 11, 2017, 10:38:27 PM
Most of all I like in bitcoin a rapid increase in the price that allows you to earn no special effort. Also, this currency is not controlled by the government, which gives it an advantage over the rest.

If you are just seeing how the price flops down these week, you will not be saying that. Yes it increases some time, but the same as it pumps, it also dumps. Also earning money always requires effort, we all know that, even if we are scammers, hackers and robbers, there are no easy money.

But what I like about bitcoin is that it has a good price and so popular that it has a lot of ways to earn them. When you have some skill you can use that to earn them, also when you have some knowledge, you van use that also.

3676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: July 09, 2017, 03:25:10 PM
For me, bitcoin is a side job for extra money....  Grin Grin

Bitcoin these days is just a digital currency in where you put your money or invest it and wait for a few years then converting it to real money. It is seen as an asset, an side line job.

But it is really inevitable because it has a good value, it is really volatile so many people will be taking advantage of that feature. Students earning bitcoin then converting it helps them with their finances in their studies, others earn them to make some extra profit when they got home from work. It is a reliable digital currency because it is easy to earn.
3677  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 09, 2017, 08:39:46 AM
Bitcoin is safer than cash no one have the right to take it from you not the goverment not the IRS, it's fast and worldwide wich make it easey  to do business from you own house.

There is no safe currency, we all know that. There will be a lot of people who will be taking advantage of holes and security flaws of a site or a company. There will still be a lot of abusive people who will be using applications to get money from it.

Bitcoin is a good digital currency, but it doesn't mean that it will be as safe as we all know. Bitcoin also has risks, it is volatile. And when you will be starting a business using bitcoin in your home, you must be really cautious and really careful for every actions and transactions you will be making.
3678  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: July 09, 2017, 06:31:52 AM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?
I think this is a good idea besides reducing the unemployment rate, it is also a job to earn extra income for people with stable jobs. Bitcoin is a lightweight job but requires knowledge and new willpower to make money with it.
In my opinion bitcoin is a way to make better extra earning. People should not give consideration as a day job, which makes life into higher risks as the price fluctuations is happening quite often as well there is nothing certain with its growth.

That is right, just give bitcoin some time like a sideline job. Just give it a little push, don't try harder, unless you are doing good with it even if you are not trying harder.

It is a good way to make an extra income especially when you have a stable main job for getting your stable income. Getting some extra will help you in some way, when you really need some money and it is still not your pay day, you can get some in your bitcoin wallet.
3679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying airline tickets with Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2017, 11:05:48 PM
What will you get by buying your airplane ticket with bitcoin everyone on forum are saying don't sell your bitcoins just hold it the price will increase in future and stuff but what are you doing by using bitcoin in a coffee shop or buying a airplane ticket just selling your bitcoins and doing that wouldn't make you great like how that guy felt by buying pizza with bitcoins. Seriously man why do you want to bitcoin as fiat just keep it like a investment.

I don't see any problem about bitcoin used in such things, it is a digital currency. As a currency online, it is inevitable that it may be used for this payment, there are news about bitcoin being used in reserving rooms on a hotel or paying tickets for an airplane.

In the future it will be used in many offline transactions where wifi or bluetooth are just the needed connections to make it happen. Whether it will be happening or not, we all know that the idea will be surging in their minds.
3680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: July 08, 2017, 12:30:24 AM
There is nothing wrong with gambling for as long as we are responsible enough. It's a sort of entertainment to relieve stress. Crypto gambling is better as it is provable fair and house edge are too low.

As I said, that argument is flawed. It's like saying, nothing wrong with cocaine or guns as long as we are responsible enough. Problem is that people are not responsible enough therefore the government should step in just like it steps in on drugs. However they get money from this so they don't really care.

I think government is somewhat to blame if their is a proliferation of gambling. Specially illegal ones and you can't blame people getting into them. The problem is its hard to stop gambling because as you have said, their is money in their that the government benefited. its up to very individual casual or even addicted once to really control themselves and not ruin their lives in the long run. But sadly, its difficult to really stay away from gambling. It is already in every society in the world.

Governments, they can be blamed yes, but we can't except the fact that people are still gambling even if the government are forbidding them to gamble.

Government will do anything to make casinos and gambling sites pay them good taxes because there are a lot of costumers everyday in a casino, casino on the other hand, will be putting many promos and prizes so they can attract costumers and get back their taxes as their income. And gamblers, being attracted to gambling will not stop as long as they are not emptying their pockets and getting back their losses. So they are all to blame.
