I would be careful on any website that says no KYC is required.
That decision isn't up to them and is up to the country they operate in.
KYC is a critical component of Anti Money Laundering laws and there is no way around it.
There isn't a single reputable company (Stake, BC.Game, Duelbit) who doesn't require Stake so please keep that in mind.
Hive and dapps under it seems to be off of government radar, may be that could be the reason. Anyhow, carefulness is required when there is possibility of getting funds stuck, kryptogamers is non-custodial.

That's incorrect, whatever casino earns from house edge, 50% directly goes to house and other half to stakers. You can find dividend info under 'dividends' section of website.
I invested in casino bankrolls some time ago, and I found it profitable, but I see a problem with it, that you have to give up your private keys for an extra return, and although it worked out well for me, I don't know if it's worth the risk. Already explained in the comment you quoted that you don't give your private keys. Keychain/hive signer is like metamask, you login into hive dapps and approve/reject transactions through it.

I am just not sure if this is the hive that has a bounty in year before.
This Hive is steemit fork, pretty sure they haven't had any bounty. My concern is that it asks for Private key when you login to kryptogameapp.
Import your account into Hive signer/Hive keychain, then it's like metamask you approve transactions from there without exposing your private key. The profit looks interesting and if there are Hive investors and gamblers this is a platform worth exploring for them, I don't like a platform that asks for private keys because it's against the basic and main rules of not your keys, not your coins/token, the platform is questionable if they are going to ask for private keys, I checked the casino there are two options to log in one is through hivesigner and hive keychain, I haven't explored this casino yet, but if the two options are asking for private keys, then its not worth playing in this kind of platform.
Those are like authentication apps through which you access dapps. Both are open source on github. Hive keychain: https://github.com/hive-keychain/hive-keychain-extensionHive signer: https://github.com/ecency/hivesigner-sdk/besides we must assume that the 50% comes from the profits the casino can generate and not its income, so before there is any kind of distribution of the funds the casino has, the casino can pay all their bills and once this is done then they can distribute half of the money that remains to those staking their coins, which means that if the casino gets no profits then no money is distributed at all, this makes the model not as unsustainable as it may seem at first sight.

Normally, since I've registered on the forum I have been warned many times to stay away from projects that gives insane reward when staking their tokens and now that this is coming from a high rank member I am so confused, are you saying you believe in this project or what? 50% is so unrealistic.
Half goes to casino and other half goes to token stakers , it's one of token utility, what's unrealistic?

choosing which aspect of crypto to venture into - trading, mining, investing in ICO and others - is a herculean task considering the various degrees of risks associated with each of them.
What is your recommendation for a beginner?
What are you interested in? If you aren't sure, try all except icos investments (most of them are scams), and stick to one you like best. I don't like giving out my private information for any project or platforms online and I have no choice but to provide wrong personal details in order to maintain anonymity, how bad can this get if anything happens to the website system?
Your funds would get stuck. Solutions? 1) Don't bet 2) Bet within limits so you don't trigger kyc in first place, what limit? Depends on platform. 3) Have all fake identity docs. So if you get asked, you can give them. However, These days platforms ask for selfie photo with docs, so it would be hard to fake this.

This is why sms based 2fa is vulnerable and not to be relied upon. But then again, most banking apps only use sim based 2fa. I don't blame them tho as it's much easier compared to app/hw based 2fa. Customers reps would otherwise be bombarded with losing secret seed

Not sure I'd even consider my phone secure enough, let alone the usability aspect. The only time I attempted to use the forum on a phone for writing was when I was traveling years ago. Not sure how some of you do it, even with a built in app SMF in particular would be difficult to build for. Dunno, I consider opposite. Windows are targetted more than mobiles and if you use iOS device it's even more secure compared to android. When I use mobile phones to access campaign spreadsheets, I usually run into the same problem. It takes longer to load and display all information in the spreadsheet. I have the Google Sheets App installed on my phone, but I still have the same problem, though not with all spreadsheets, just a few of them. I haven't tried opening those spreadsheets on a PC yet; perhaps it will be much easier to do so there.
It's because your phone has limited hardware, and your computer is both faster in terms of CPU speed, and likely RAM. Unless, you have a particularly limited computer, that is. Loading spreadsheets with more data will take a lot more resources. I'd disagree. Phone hardwares have developed significantly in last few years, sheet loading problem is likely related to software than hardware. It works perfectly fine on my Android phone except for the fact that whenever I want to post or maybe read some comments I have to set my phone on auto-rotate then reduce the Zoom and am good to go. It makes me feel like am using my PC to access this forum but I still don't know why I prefer using my phone more than my PC🤔.
I don't even rotate, just zoom in/out in portrait mode, haven gotten so used to it ain't even conscious of it.

Thinking out of the box: how about a new rank for only the users who make the Top N in both Activity and Merit? That way you'll lose that rank again when someone else takes your place in the Top N.
Exactly, adding new rank would just pave wave for wanting newer rank in future. I'd rather get behind similar idea where member has to earn number of activity+merit to keep retaining that rank.

I only bother with casinos when they give some kind of bonus. For 'free time' I'd rather choose video games over casino.
Regarding when to avoid, all points could be summed up in basically this — when emotions are overpowering you avoid gambling or should I say monetary matters altogether.

Used to take provable fair meaning in wrong way until recently when came across one such comment. I think you don't fully understand what provably fair means, and especially what it doesn't mean. Provably fair doesn't mean you won't lose money in the long run, it doesn't mean the house edge equals 0% or the RTP is 100%. In other words it doesn't mean the expected value is not negative. It just mean you can check the outcome and see if the casino has cheated you or not. So you shouldn't expect to not lose money by playing to these games, you will lose the same amount of money in the long run as a similar live game or a similar non provably fair game not rigged.
Meaning is apparent in word itself, 'provable' fairness and there is nothing to correct in op when meaning itself is taken for it's not.

...if it isn't stated by casino beforehand, and sometimes it's stated only for dice and not for other games (examples being card games, roulette, slots), in such cases how is it to be calculated?
