3681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for being in crypto. on: September 20, 2021, 07:43:31 PM
1. If you are in for the tech, what is the problem your favorite project is solving?

2. If you are for the profit, how are you generating one with the coins in your portfolio?

Both are good reasons and probably the best reasons why anyone buys cryptocurrency, however, you are forgetting the decentralized and no-third-party aspect of crypto. Your keys your coins. Nobody else has control of your money and where it goes but you. And its not in one central place. Like a bank.

Auf jeden Fall ist eine europäische oder sogar deutsche Börse am sichersten (rechtlich gesehen). Also Kraken z.B.

Kraken ist eine in den USA ansässige Börse  Wink

Genau, danke. Mein Fehler. Ich meinte eigentlich Bitstamp.
3683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: September 19, 2021, 05:53:31 PM
You can't really expect fate and lack of control be one and the same. Fate has many roads but you get to pick which one of those roads you go down. As for me, gambling can be fun and if you make a winning, yay for you. And if you lose, then thats just the price for the fun you had. Don't play with money you can't afford to lose. Either you have money to lose or you don't. Making excuses to go against this rule will get you everytime.

The only thing I know is that your actions dictate your fate, so if you have lack of control in gambling, you would know what your fate will be in the future, and don't expect you will not face a problem. Gambling is risky for people who lack discipline, that's why it's very important to understand the risk so we will have any problem in managing it.

This is why many people are traversing the wrong road once they got too deep in gambling. So while you are still in control with your gambling, better moderate it and know the limits how far you can go in this game. Don't resort to taking a loan from someone or even from your family, just to augment your needs in gambling. If you don't have funds, better stop.

Many people are traversing the wrong road once they got too deep in gambling, however that being said, I think the problem can be created with anything. Drugs, food, Abusive/Gaslighting relationships....anything. All it really has to do is with the people's brains and the amount of dopamine they need/are recieving. The dopamine molecule is the reward molecule. If you keep rewarding yourself for bad behaviour, you will definitely find yourself in a loop cycle of doing the same bad behaviour for that dopamine reward. Best way is to distract yourself with something else until your dopamine goes back to normal functions.
3684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think I have a gambling problem on: September 18, 2021, 05:21:18 PM
Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to see whether or not you think that what I do for fun has turned into a problem, let me set the scene.

I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?

You are making your brain dependent on something that provides you with the dopamine reward-chemical. This is why fat people can't stop eating and gamblers can't stop gambling. Find something else to do with your life, or just throw yourself in "cold water" and try something new with people you never met. You need to give your brain time to deal with the addiction.

3686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A useful investment tip: find the leading project then follow the trend on: September 18, 2021, 05:01:05 PM
Choose the right project to invest is always difficult. It's always too late to invest a project when its token price is raised already. I got a dreadful experience on that, Sol was booming a couple days ago and I bought at the highest price 210$, then it falls like a waterfall Cry
The key point is to invest before it start to rise. But how to choose the right one among so many projects. I just found a brilliant way. Keep an eye on the leading project in different venues. Once the leading project start to rise, the bought other projects in the same category, It will rise soon. For example, aave has raised a lot recently, then you should buy other project in defi lending venue.
Just found a new project will be IDO soon, Decredit, a DeFi 2.0 protocol and lending program. You guys are welcome to discuss my investing tips which I payed by a high tuition.

You probably should not be giving investment tips. From a legal perspective, you could get into trouble for that. Especially if someone loses money because of your investment advice... That being said, why should people follow your advice anyway? Do you provide any hard proof of your investment skills? That just sounds like a slippery slope to me. Theres a reason why people put "this is not investment advice" under their crypto reviews.

Anyway, I don't think thats a good tip. Remember what happened to Shiba Inu? You don't want to follow the crowd.
3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not panic sell when there is dump on: September 18, 2021, 04:54:38 PM
Sometimes when a coin pumps hard and starts to dump, novice will panic sell due to fear or other reasons, while the whales will buy up the dump and mop it all and then pump it even harder.... So don't always panic sell, be in control of your emotions, although it isn't easy, but with practice you will perfect and master it.......Every new trade is a journey and a new destination...... Always dyor

What do you think about this circumstance ? am i overthinking this ? share your views.

I think a lot of people want to try all sorts and kinds of strange ways to predict the future market direction, but thats just wishful thinking. Daytrading is fun but when you are in a dump, you do not sell for less than you bought it for. I would think it's smarter to leave it as a long term investment. From a mathematical standpoint, your wallets keep shrinking in the daytrading game...

...In any case, don't put all your eggs in one basket and moving the eggs back and forth will end you up with several cracked eggs.
3688  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: Welche Kryptobörse on: September 18, 2021, 04:45:19 PM
Also ich empfehle immer dezentrale Börsen.

Also Bitstamp Kraken z.B.
3689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2021, 04:20:19 PM
Has anyone else noticed how low the mempool is... block sizes are small as well.

I am opening LN channels for 1SAT/vByte.

And yet lightning network use is increasing parabolically.

Bitcoin is scaling.

Miners have lost nothing.  Blocks continue to be found and added tot he chain.  And by the time the subsidy is small fees will not longer be 1s/b.

But most people are talking about de-fi and ETH.  Heh.

If it was obvious... there would be no real opportunity.

ETH will try to scale with ETH 2.0 However, if that fails then the price will fall while dragging Defi behind it. Bitcoin is just a smarter investment.

Good quote. Banks are indeed going down the Blockbuster path. The future is now.
3690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 17, 2021, 06:25:34 PM
Dogecoin has absolutely no reason to invest in other than the fact that it has become a meme with a reliable community. The only reason to buy doge is to hope to sell at the top of a pump and dump. Although maybe Elon has lost enough credibility in the crypto community by now.

Also I think Elon just wanted to manipulate the market, make some profit and back out again. Thats how it seems to me.

How can I raise funds for my Play 2 earn game project? Def not millions  Grin

Seek out Venture Capitalists, Seed investors....etc. But be ready to show them a pre-product or some evidence of how much work you are willing to put in your project, otherwise nobody will be interested.
3693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2022? on: September 17, 2021, 01:09:32 PM
Hello everyone.

Where do you see the bitcoin price in the next few months, especially at the starting of 2022?

It's around $45K right now. Experts' opinions are needed.

It sounds like you are setting yourself up for panic-selling. I really would just HODL to at least to 100k before taking profits. You will thank yourself in the long term if you just walk away and take your mind off bitcoin prices.  Grin
3694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that NFT is the best investment in the future? on: September 17, 2021, 01:07:28 PM
I think NFT's are so popular because of the lack of regulation and grey areas for paying taxes. Its basically the 2017 ICO. For now. I don't see NFT's becoming anything but the latest crypto craze.
3695  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: September 17, 2021, 12:58:26 PM
You should read the ToS before you accidently get your account banned or something. As far as account selling goes, I don't think I have head of any gambling website that likes their users to do that.... Embarrassed

Casinos are pretty savvy already - I've been reading some randoms coming onto the Forum and decrying they have been blocked from accessing their accounts (the usual waterworks / booh hooo) only to have the Casino/Gaming site present facts of the IP changing countries, browser etc and in some cases having multiple identical thumbprints on many accounts...

(Said accounts usually fall silent).
^ Definitely right, for sure it should be the reason for blocking account are, changing IP address, changing device use, changing the browser use or possible all changes that the second owner's do. It is been always there is a risk. But I think op was move on and did not come back here anymore. It could be already sold or it could be changing their mind not to sell. For me, there is no need for this thread to keep pumping and posting until the op will back and drop updates regarding the account for sale. For now, let us bury this thread in oblivion.

Changing IP address, device and browser is not a fair reason for casino to block/suspend user's account. If it is being used, means that the casino is limiting their player to play in one place, device and browser?

Casino may use those changes for an indication only, if the casino feels that the account is changed hand, there should follow up steps from the casino that need to be done by the player to prove that there is no ownership change of the account.

If they overlook something like that, at some point someone will sue the casino for not freezing the funds of a suspicous/hacked account. And then the casino will be in bigger trouble from a regulatory standpoint of holding third party funds with bad security. I think they would rather avoid that.
3696  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The steps and legality of opening a crypto casino on: September 16, 2021, 04:21:29 PM
Depends on where you live and where your clients live? You might need to put up restrictions for some countries. You probably also need a license and a lot of other stuff. Best talk to a lawyer who specializes in stuff like this.
3697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are blockchains really decentralized? on: September 16, 2021, 04:17:17 PM
I think the rate of adoption is the most important indicator of how much a blockchain is decentralized. Some are more decentralized, while others are less decentralized. But then again Im sure there are other factors too. Undecided

3699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 16, 2021, 04:09:36 PM

full time trading is less profitable than long term hodling, I believe.
In some way, especially if you are holding a good coin, holding is for a long term big income while trading is such a daily income.

In the long term, the probability of you losing more money day trading than hodling is much much higher. Daytrading is not worth it, at least for me. One wrong move and you lose all the profit you made over weeks in 1 trade....
3700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good for investing? on: September 15, 2021, 05:00:37 PM
If you want to stay on the safe side, I would recommend not taking investment advice from random forums. That being said, the highest volume coins like ETH have proven themselves long enough to count as a semi-safe investment.
