Girokarten-Terminals bundesweit gestört

https://www.tagesschau.de/wirtschaft/verbraucher/giro-karte-kreditkarte-stoerung-101.html

2682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to start accepting BTC? on: May 26, 2022, 03:40:03 AM
Hello all,

I have been following Bitcoin prices for some time, and now I'm doubtful if it is a good time to start accepting it as it has changed so much in the past months. Those who accept Bitcoin - is it worth it? And do you accept Bitcoin straight to your wallet, or do you use third-party services?

Thanks in advance!

Why would you need third party services for Bitcoin? Do you need legal reassurance that a third party won't lose your Bitcoin? Do you trust yourself less than some strangers saying give us your money and everything will be ok? I could understand the fear if it wasn't missplaced fear.

It appears you have not understood the very point of Bitcoin and crypto in general. Be your own bank. Nobody else should control you, your money, your proof of transactions or your wallet.
Or in the case of other cryptos, privacy.

Time to start living a free man. Man. Cool

But thats on you. Roll Eyes

2683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 26, 2022, 03:24:28 AM
You guys forget one thing: We are talking in most cases ( I would even go as far as to say 99% of cases ), we are exactly the right crowd to advertise crypto gambling. And we are one of the biggest crowds along with Reddit for crypto. So obviously advertising on Bitcointalk with Signature campaigns and some of the other stuff already mentioned before, is a huge way to get leads ( New gamblers for the casino ).

A single gambler uses makes back a lot more than they spend on advertising here. Plus many countries have restrictions to advertise gambling so good luck with marketing.
2684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: May 25, 2022, 08:38:34 PM
I was thinking that "Casino" is gambling game played by players in this forum. Because I am seen the name everyday, so today I decided to find out how the game is all about.
When I googled the name, then I discovered that it is an establishment for different types of games. Such as: Dice, crabs, black jack keno etc. That is, it is a facility or a platform for gambling. Simply means. It is a building for games. https://www.quora.com/What-is-a-casino

And also. Most terms use in the gambling platform confused me so to contribute and comment is not easy. But I know for sure that it is for the mean time, I will get all for the free flow communication. But if there is any board that I can learn those terms. Please forward the links for easy and faster learning of the terms.

You know, now that you say it, a casino game for Bitcointalk exclusively could perhaps be an interesting idea that I would love to see. I imagine it might even strengthen social bonds between the Bitcointalk community and/or at least the BTCT gambling community. Although I have no idea on how we would implement something like that since I am not some amazing coder like most people on this forum Cheesy

Keep checking around the gambling subforums and you will definitely learn a thing or two in a few days! We always post the most important info for subforums at the top of the subforum topics.

Yet another school shooting in USA. WTF America. Get your shit together.

If you changed your gun laws this shit would stop.

Or better yet you can change "right to bear arms" to "right to arm bears" and that would make the world a much more interesting place

You really look at the tied up and executed bodies in Bucha, and think to yourself: They would never do that to me. I'm on their side, Right?
Well maybe they would accept you on their side. except they would also give you a gun and tell you to march forward or get shot if you disobey or run.

So the choices between execution and forced conscription are somewhat alluring to you? You realise that Bucha was meant as warning of whats to come to the west, right?

What we need to do on the internet is weed out potential traitors while we have the chance. so people like that won't get the chance to paint infrared-reflective X's on people's houses as targets for Russian Air Force. Maybe we should start making a list starting on Bitcointalk. Surely they have some IP addresses of some interesting people.

Ukraine killed the traitors before the enemies. Thats what war is.
Are you still chewing that Butch gum? It seems to have been rotten since it turned out that some of the civilians died from cluster munitions from the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while others were executed by Bosman's Nazis during the cleansing of "collaborators".

You got real evidence to back up that claim?
2687  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: May 24, 2022, 05:58:04 PM
About the attitude of the Russians to the prisoners. The Russian military evacuate a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wounded in battle, who was abandoned by his commanders and colleagues, carried 2 km through a minefield.

What do these orcs even allow themselves? Feel sorry for the bullet? Grin

For anyone still supporting Putler and excusing his actions despite hard evidence of propaganda being created, inflated and adjusted to fit his narratives, I really recommend watching the following videos on how the soviets used the media to fit their narrative:

>Yuri Bezmenov, Ex-KGB (defected out of disgust for the soviet regime): How soviets subvert countries with carefully planned propaganda

>For those with Attention Deficit Disorders, a 13 minute abridged interview with the most important info: KGB Defector Yuri Bezmenov 1985 Interview. Explains KGB
Manipulation of US Public Opinion

>A more detailled explaination on how it works

Hopefully you can see the parallels of Putin's KGB mindset and wake up from your fantasy world.

Especially note how they used the media and reporters to warp the perceived reality of the Soviet Union and it's crimes against humanity. For example, they would bribe reporters to get them to write a good story about the "kindergarten centers" which were in reality gulag prisons where children of political prisoners were being kept locked up.

But those reporters (or as the soviets called them: "useful idiots" and "political prostitutes") did not seem to question all the metal bars on the windows of said "kindergartens" when they were being shown around. They did not want to miss out on their fat paychecks and all those freebies the russians gave them in exchange for a pro-soviet news article, so they kept their mouths shut and did not dare ask uncomfortable questions.

Do you people understand that YOU are the useful idiots of 2022? Except you are not even being paid.

question: I am not one of you super-coder brainiacs, so this might seem a dumb question  Roll Eyes but is there not a way to detect plagerism using some kind of script to automate the search for plagerists? I would think an automated google search could also be integrated for the outside-of-forum plagerism. That would also help with identifying fake projects that copy paste their ann from text that they found elsewere.
2691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: May 23, 2022, 10:28:17 PM
Hello all,

As a lover of Bitcoin how do you spread Bitcoin, i mean how do you tell people about Bitcoin and it's adoptions?
To me i have held many discussions with friends in college with me, sometimes teaching them blockchain, the future of Bitcoin and why we should buy and hold Bitcoin, how the world will be in 5 years to 10 years to come. With this little meetings i have been able to share with my friends and also spread bitcoin to mates in college and i know they will do the same and if everyone does the same tell me what will be of Bitcoin today. So let us support Bitcoin max Adoption by telling people arounds us, bitcoin remains the future of money.

How do you spread Bitcoin to people within you? Thats an interesting question. I really did not know there were people "within me". Tongue

But I am guessing you meant How do you spread Bitcoin to people around you.

In which case, the best way to get them hooked on a good thing like Bitcoin is to let them see your success with Bitcoin and then they might get interested in that as well. Us humans really do enjoy feeling like a priviledged race but the truth is we are just really smart monkeys.

And monkey see monkey do is very true for us as well. Just show them the awesomeness you get with Bitcoin and just wait.

Assuming you hodl BTC. Daytrading and losing money will have the opposite effect.
2692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 23, 2022, 02:21:24 PM
Gambling have brought me big wins as well as drastic losses. If my entire statistics is calculated this used to be in loss. I've tried different plans to keep me away from Gambling, however I wasn't able to do it. In the beginning I never mind when I experience loss, because I was single and now I have a family. I used to gamble without fear.

In recent days whenever I get into gambling I used to experience some changes in my body. Particularly stomach pain and I myself found the difference while gambling and not gambling. When I wasn't gambling I never have such issues and I myself checked Google and diagnosed the below. Does anyone have similar experience. Atleast for my health I need to give up gambling.

Irritable bowel syndrome
Also called: IBS, spastic colon

People may experience:
Pain areas: in the abdomen
Pain types: can be recurrent in the abdomen
Gastrointestinal: change in bowel habits, constipation, diarrhoea, inability to empty bowels, indigestion, nausea, passing excessive amounts of gas, or urgent need to defecate
Abdominal: cramping or discomfort
Also common: anxiety, depression, discomfort, loss of appetite, or symptoms alleviated by defecation

Google

Gambling can cause mental health issues which in turn can easily cause physical health issues. The mind is a very powerful thing.

Instead of googling your symptoms perhaps you should talk with a real doctor? It could be unrelated to gambling and it could be something else. I do not want to spook you but its better to be safe than sorry.

IBS and spastic colon can be caused by more serious things. But if you do feel the symptoms going away when you do not gamble then perhaps you should take breaks or just quit from gambling all together.

Or perhaps take on a lighter form of gambling where you limit yourself to small amounts?

This feels like a great and really feels like a nice day to see a dump! Cheesy Cheesy

I see you too want 8th 9th weekly red candle Smiley

Looking at the monthly, myself. If there is a dump it will be at the end of this month at earliest. Too much consolidation on the daily currently, I would say.

I would take a nibble out of a monkey sandwich. You know, just to try.
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no future as a payments network, says FTX chief on: May 23, 2022, 03:38:21 AM

Bitcoin has no future as a payments network because of its inefficiency and high environmental costs, according to one of crypto’s most influential chief executives.

I read the headline as : Sam Bankman-Fried has no future as an influencial chief executive according to Bitcoin.

I mean seriously, anyone who is supposedly an influencial figure in crypto should at least understand what Bitcoin is becoming and that there is nothing standing in its way? Does he even take into consideration all the neverending upgrades that Bitcoin keeps going through or that Bitcoin can be scaled in two ways: the blockchain can be upgraded to enable greater throughput
and additional networks, called layers, can be created to allow bitcoin to be transferred without directly using the blockchain.

Which part of this is not scalable?

And the high environmental costs is the argument I hate most. The problem is not the fact that it uses electricity but rather that our current way of generating electricity is extremely dirty and would be just as environmentally damaging even if Bitcoin was never invented. The solution? Green resources and new energy technology.

This is why you can never trust a Bankman.

He is just spreading FUD so he can fill his own pockets like the other fudders with too much fiat.
2695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you knew the founder of Bitcoin, would you still use it? on: May 22, 2022, 11:38:12 PM
Honestly, I am very obsessed with this question. We don't know who is behind the bitcoin, at the moment Satoshi Nakamoto is just a made-up thing in our head. At the moment we think that he is a savior and helps us to gain financial freedom and protect our privacy but let's imagine some bad case scenarios for interesting discussion. At the moment, Satoshi has around 1 million bitcoin.

What if it was created by one of the worst person ever? What if he wants to make us dependent on bitcoin as much as possible and one day he comes, sells all his coins and causes financial catastrophe.
What if it was created by persons like Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, etc. These are the people who don't respect their customers' privacy.

What if there is one specific, concrete country behind the scenes? Bitcoin is a mixture of the cyber and financial worlds, this is the greatest power stack to own.

The inspiration for me to create this thread was this video.
P.S. I don't agree with Dan Pena, I would even say that if he knew who was behind the bitcoin, as he says, he couldn't sleep at night or could sleep forever.

Well, I would still believe in Bitcoin as I do now, however I would become extremely wary of the founder's wallets and the up until now untouched Bitcoin. You never know when they might decide to crash the price by cashing out. Assuming that the Bitcoin founder is someone I would not trust to believe in Bitcoin in the first place...

If the identity does get out one day, I will probably do a quick sell because I suspect there will be a panic selling. I would however buy back at the bottom or at what I consider to be a good buying price level.

Unless we find out that Bitcoin was made by the CIA or Chinese government or something. I would be EXTREMELY wary of the unsold massive amount of Bitcoins under their wallets. In such a case I would not feel safe buying until they sell all their coins, as they undoubtably would favor their own countries fiat currency over Bitcoin.
2696  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: stay away from bitsler on: May 22, 2022, 04:07:19 PM
Casinos usually start lowering rewards that they offer due to many reasons. Price of coins drop significantly, players aren't gambling as much, or they were just bleeding too much free money and they feel like they needed to change things up.

There's nothing that says they aren't allowed to change things up. If you think you can run a casino better, then open 1 and see if you can sustain giving away thousands in free money daily/weekly.

Just because you don't get a ton of free shit, doesn't mean a casino is a scam. Yes another casino may be able to offer more in free stuff, but they have changed terms in their free stuff too i'm sure.

Get over it and play where you think you get the most, no need to cry and make a thread trying to damage a casino because you don't agree with their policies.

Yeah, I agree with this. It does seem that OP just wants to cry about this whole ordeal while slandering the mentioned online gambling casino.

Unfortunately a lot of people seem too comfortable doing this whenever they feel the need to let off some steam because they feel frustrated at the gambling world turning out not to be as profitable as they expected.

I think they should be a bit more careful though, making slanderous scam accusations against registered companies without having proof to back up their claim can be seen as libel, which is not only illegal but can cost them a lot of money, should the company decide to grab them by the neck, legally.

Not really a smart move. Childish, even.
2697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The average joe would never accept bitcoin as means of payment due to tx fees on: May 22, 2022, 03:57:46 PM
For the love of all that is holy, if you use the lightning network and compare that to your regular joe's bank fees, you will realize that its the bank thats demanding the higher fees not Bitcoin. Furthermore, Joe has absolutely no control over his bank account and he is at the mercy of the government and the bank. Freezing accounts, forcefully withholding money, demanding arbitrary fees for the simple act of holding on to his fiat, which is becoming more and more worthless over time as the government just prints more and more as much as they want.

You really do not see how average Joe might prefer Bitcoin? Because everyone here on this forum definitely does.
2698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, privacy, goodbye, it was nice while it lasted. on: May 21, 2022, 09:17:43 PM
I see this as a good thing. Not only will this put centralisation into the meat grinder but it will also force us to find better ways to decentralise. The government has been trying as hard as they can to put Bitcoin and other crypto into a corner and has never succeeded. Centralised exchanges are and always have been a bad idea which goes against what crypto, especially Bitcoin, stands for.

Now is the time for more innovation in the area of decentralisation and DeFi especially.

Our governments have absolutely no control over our coins unless we give them control. Do not let them spook you into giving up control.

Never give up, never surrender.
2699  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to make a telegram live betting group… on: May 21, 2022, 07:31:33 PM
Telegram is a scammers paradise and its probably the worst place you can make any kind of group which requires some kind of trust as far as your money is concerned. I don't think you will have an easy time finding people to trust your live betting group. You might have a better chance if you had some trustworthy people backing you. But even then scammers would see your group and its members as an easy target. Basically I would not use Telegram if I were you.

What was your motivation for using Telegram anyway? To stay anonymous and if something happens you would have a easy way to hide your tracks?
2700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: May 21, 2022, 07:09:39 PM
The only true way to make sure something is not a scam is to dive into it headfirst. So you are risking your money anytime you do this, regardless of whether you are trusting a sportsbook which is new or one that is older. You never know when something can turn out badly.

But that being said, as far as trust goes, I would not trust anything new and wait until enough other people have risked their money first before I risk my own money. The chances of a new sportsbook being scammy is far higher than an old sportsbook.

The only way for them to gain trust is by waiting. I usually wait at least a year until I can give them ANY of my trust. Minimum.
