I've sent coinwarz an email about the fork. Really disappointed they didn't know about it. That would have really caused the hashrate to go up. Oh well. At least it gives us time to mine before the profiteers jump in. Grin

Because the coin has changed specifications, the blockchain of the coin has been split in two; we're now on one of the new forked paths. When a coin is changed, but people are still mining the old coin, it causes the block chain to split. The other fork with the old specs will die because it won't have enough hashpower to mine the blocks.

Solo miners, or pools that didn't apply the patch, maybe. I'm not even sure if the Multipools know it's been forked. Either way the old chain will be dead now. Basically killed off most of the hashrate to it now.

No matter when it hit, there was going to be a massive dump. Unavoidable. The only thing exchanges could do is force a transaction size limit based on the percentage of the coin circulation with an x timeframe to prevent super dumps.

You should get a block around every 2-3 hours. It's not so bad. So totally soloable even with that speed. Ofcourse it's more consistant in a pool but the pleasure of getting a superblock is really motivating.

Under the current diff,
it will takes 2-3 hours to fina a block with 290khash/sec.
If I am , I will join in Pool,
but, solo mining also possible.
