3681  Economy / Economics / Re: Are some too blind to see? on: May 01, 2021, 08:29:27 PM
I believe that just following the flow of whales will be beneficial for small traders. At the same time individual investors should not expect whales to be holding forever. These days even individual investors are not ready to hold for long period because they want to keep multiplying their capital instead of waiting for a long period, so obviously institution and whales may book profits at some point of time and individuals should be making decisions just before them to ensure maximum benefits.
Following whales is one way to go, but for the past 6 months or so, buying when the price crashes and selling when it can't go up anymore has been a great strategy and that has worked all the time but more obvious these days. I mean think about it, you are basically just watching. If you see the price crashing, let it crash and when you see that the price stops and doesn't go down anymore, it just gets stuck or even maybe slightly higher, at that point you end up buying.

After that you start waiting for it to go up, and it reaches to a point where for nearly a week it doesn't go up anymore, and that is when you end up selling it at the top. This has happened god knows how many times in a row now and people are still fearing when it goes down, and hopeful when it goes up, I have seen people buy at 60k+ and sell when it is under 50k with fear, those are the only people who could make a loss during such a great market.
3682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My crypto portfolio, please give me some feedback on: May 01, 2021, 08:00:38 PM
That's too much diversification.

But I can just because of bitcoin and its high participation on your portfolio, you have a good portfolio. As long as you settle with huge percentage of bitcoin.
But I'm not seeing is too much of diversification because OP is not having most of the altcoins in big number of percentage but moreover they are seeing like collected from bounties and airdrops. Yes, the good thing is bitcoin is in dominating percentage that will definitely lead to call their portfolio as a good one; I guess no one will argue against this.

I am also having lots of small percentage altcoins but I never consider them as part of my portfolio because I'm not following most of them as those coins and token are not being listed on reputed exchanges and just for the reason of converting them back to bitcoin/ethreum, I guess I must need to register on new exchanges but I'm not sure when I will get stuck with those new exchanges for KYC.
3683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "crypto day trading strategies ...." on: May 01, 2021, 07:18:16 PM
there is nothing wrong for those who have a long enough time to become a profitable day trader.
There are different approaches are available for day trading; you do not need to be spending long hours for all types of day trading but only for scalping kind of continuous trading, you may need to spend long hours for trading.

If you're good at technical analysis and when you have accurate entry and exit levels then you just need to trade only for few minutes. Because, with limit-stop-loss orders you can place orders in advance and the rest will be happening when market meets your entry and exit levels. Still, time to time monitoring is recommended but there will be definitely no need of continuous monitoring.
3684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Scalping even viable in Cryptocurrencies? on: May 01, 2021, 06:49:50 PM
It's better if you check for the fees you'll be charged on both maker/taker side before starting with scalping crypto. One of my friends does that and he makes good amount of money but for him to be able to do that, he needs to look for sure trades which will give him both, his fees that will get deducted on both ends once he opens/closes trade in 5-10 minutes and the profit over it. Assuming that your profit margin is not too big, you can set targets where you want to close your position and then you can quickly close your position.
I guess these days there are few solutions available for higher exchange fees; before exchanges followed volume based discount for traders but nowadays most of the exchanges are having their own tokens/coins and when we are paying with them then we can get less fees. Still, I agree if scalping is not producing slightly bigger profits then exchange fees then there will be no meaning of getting into it.

I tried scalping before but concluded long term trading is better and convent in both profit levels and stress-free way of trading. Scalping requires lots of hours to sit in front of computers hence it may not be suitable for those day-job goers.
3685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: May 01, 2021, 03:36:27 PM
The daily limit is something you should and shouldn't, because I think when you have a daily limit you will force you to keep rolling or placing bets until you reach the limit itself. This at least will only make us stunned by the daily limit that is set, so that the bet made will not be really good for the profit that is actually being sought.
There are gamblers who are enjoying benefits out of daily limit and there are some other gamblers who are destroying themselves just because of daily limit like you have mentioned. That is the point where and how gamblers are becoming responsible and protecting their bankroll.

Responsible gamblers will find benefits like saving their time, saving their bankroll and more importantly responsible gamblers will enjoy their gambling moments unlike how most of the gamblers are getting frustrated at the end of gambling. So, I believe how you're going to make use of your limit is the concern here.
3686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2021, 08:31:42 PM
About the game about Mainz against Hertha Berlin i guess that Mainz havnt won it already , even they played very well at Bayern Munich.
Hertha will be for sure try to win it and they are the same team as mainz as they can win a match when its not expected.
Mainz was lucky to win against Bayern Munich.
Yes, Mainz is just lucky to win the recent Bayern game, but even though Hertha is below just up the Standings with Schalke, I really think Hertha is not a pushover, they are just unlucky this season as with their previous game with Gladbach, Gladbach have a difficult time with Hertha and their game end up in a draw, the Union Berlin game is a draw as well, Hertha can sure put a fight but the lack of offensive player is a thing that I think Hertha lack, or maybe a good sponsoring will surely give them a moral boost.
Everyone can agree that this game will be a quite close game, nobody can say who will win this game and its going to be a challenging one. I think it is going to be Hertha that will win this game, but you never know what will happen. Mainz beating Bayern was pure luck that is for sure, Bayern is clearly the best team in the league, they have been for nearly a decade now, but that game was just unlucky for Bayern and that's about it, nothing more to discuss.

And this is why I do not think that Mainz beating Bayern once means anything about the upcoming Hertha game, those are different situations, Bayern is much better team than Mainz but guaranteed the championship so they didn't care whereas Mainz was trying to not relegate, whereas with Hertha it is both teams trying to not relegate so it will be a bit more difficult to handle that instead.
3687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW IMPORTANT IS STOP LOSS on: April 29, 2021, 10:40:18 AM
in cases where a flash drop in the market happens due to how volatile the crypto market is, stop loss helps us to close our position before we get liqiudated
You mean under the circumstance of margin trading?
Yes, getting liquidated might get you big losses whereas you can exit with small losses if you're having stoploss level. Moreover you must have stoploss level at the trend reversal point so that it will be serving the exact purposes.

Because, just to prevent getting liquidated, if you put stoploss at random price level then if market comes back but you may not get same level of position because of less capital right now you are having of the stoploss hit. So, your stoploss level should be derived from same technical analysis.
3688  Economy / Economics / Re: EFFECTIVE INVESTING STRATEGIES on: April 29, 2021, 08:23:40 AM
The most effective is the Hold, but the object you hold in between will determine the destiny of success or failure.  And it's hard to find the best coins, I mean nice new projects with infinite profitability.
In crypto space, holding must be the most effective strategy, I agree. Because, only those long-term holders got bigger benefit than anyone else which includes active traders and all other business people. By holding, we are into an effective investment opportunity which is having almost zero risk levels compared to what trading or any other businesses are usually having.

Previously I have tried different types of trading like scalping and arbitrage and I sometimes got big profits also but when I'm calculating consistency and overall profits then I came to know that I am not doing good like how I am doing with bitcoin holdings.
3689  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins? on: April 27, 2021, 08:32:04 PM

This guys are the top of the list and can i say that list look really robust! Wink  no doubt institutions are getting their hands on btc and accumulating, something i think retailers, individuals should emulate,
An institution like MicroStrategy inc i don't think will sell their holdings just like that, even if they intend to do so at later years, it will be done partially in other not to affect the market price too much, they are at the top of the list and control a reasonable percent, they know what is good for business which means selling may not be part of their agenda at the moment.
It is challenging though to see such list, makes you wanna accumulate evey little sat you can get hold of.
Why nobody talks about grayscale? I mean they are told to be holding over half a million bitcoins, is that wrong? When you google grayscale bitcoin holdings it shows around 640k bitcoins in their reserves, that looks like around 35 billion dollars.

I know it could be false flag, and I know it could be wrong numbers, if that was true it would have been a huge news and everyone would talk about it. But if it is wrong, why are they publishing that number? Why do they say they have that much money? Are they lying about how much bitcoin they have?

If they are not lying then what does it mean for everyone else, we are talking about just one place having 35 billion dollars worth of bitcoin in their accounts and that is a big deal, it should have been much bigger news if that's true. I am confused about them, I don't know what is going on with them.
3690  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 26, 2021, 06:09:37 PM
Only a few days are left in our Million Dollar Race!

Where are you guys placed right now??
Currently sitting at 15k, my highest rank at one point was somewhere 8k-9k but I stopped wagering for at least a week since I went too hard on sports betting.

I didn't really focus on the race that much as I only play with a small bankroll.

Also they've already sent out the coupon link for the risk free bet promo yesterday between the Man United game.
People like us can't even care about this race because the winners and the high level players came out swinging, and there is no way we could make this much profit in the short span of time. This is why it is obvious that we should focus on our regular gambling and if something happens it happens.

I gamble the way I always do, nothing special and haven't increased my gambling amount at all, and with that whatever place I end up being will happen, I am around at 18k as well and I am fine with that, could I go higher? Of course I can, I would put another 1000 dollars, can gamble it 10$ at a time on a high amount of chance to win, would end up losing all of that money in a long long time, meanwhile gamble a lot and have a high wagered number, which would put me in higher position, but what would that achieve? I won't profit from it so there is no need for me to risk it in the end.
3691  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins? on: April 26, 2021, 05:36:19 PM
If the institutional investors keep buying, the current bull run will be longer and the bear market will no longer be as bad as the previous ones. It's just a feeling though, but others have already said that this bull run is going to be different.
We are seeing some institutions are planning for long term holding of bitcoins (like they pay their employees in BTC and tweeting about future prices of bitcoins after decades etc) and most others are seeming like buying just for momentary benefits. Still, institutions are known for cashing out before anyone else so that they could enjoy all the benefits of final ATH. So, I am not expecting a different bear season from this current cycle of bitcoin markets.

Moreover there is a big possibilities for shorter or longer bull run on this cycle; usually bull run will end in December month but there cannot be any surprises if the current bull run may end in October itself or may last until the fist quarter of 2022 because now the end of bull run is purely into institutions' hand.
3692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: April 26, 2021, 08:18:03 AM
According to Social Media Rumors People did think that the Dubai Government was apparently approving and giving license to various hotels for Gambling. But as it turns out the news was indeed false.
*Therefore if there is a person living in Dubai who was indeed fooled by this should realize that no hotel does own a legal license and be safe, be careful and stay away from such scams*
Hey, thanks a lot for such a warning; on first reading the subject, I thought how an Islamic government will be allowing gambling for their own people and tourists. But lately I read most Gulf counties started allowing many things like women in driving and other similar modern thought based things hence I first thought about the possibilities for allowing gambling on their soil. Personally I believe it is better not allowing gambling as it will ruin people's wealth slowly because I am not profitable with my online gambling.
3693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: April 26, 2021, 06:51:16 AM
So maybe eSports is a good recommendation since there is a break in-between matches, I would say probably besides eSports,I think basketball or football could be a good sports to bet on, pretty straightforward and no fuzz.
Yeah esports got me considering profits compared to any other sports in my more than five years of gambling. I do not have any specific reasons why esports got me good profits whereas normal sports weren't. Because I am watching and I am interested on both of these sports events at the same level still predicting in esports is somehow feasible for me for some hidden reasons.

I guess I have bet on more than 8 different sports as I am following all of them. Probably, having interest on more sports must be the reason why I am not profitable in real sport events.
3694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 25, 2021, 10:03:46 PM
It is very likely that Bouna Sarr will leave FC Bayern München this summer after one season. Sarr's performances often fell short of FC Bayern's expectations. The current market value of Sarr is about €5.5m according to transfermarket.com.
When you are talking about 5-10 million levels for a player it is obvious that it can be anywhere, you could find a proper European decent club to give him a chance, but not a top team but at least a mid level team, or even a bottom level team but on a great league. Or you could have Qatar, China, any other that type of nation trying to get him as well, it is cheap enough price that any football club could afford and it would definitely be fine for them.

Football is a very expensive game for teams who are in nations with bad economy, while Europeans pay 30-40-50 million euros for players, other nations have to deal with 1-2 million, it is not just about talent, it is about nations economy and that creates a huge disadvantage, these type of players like Sarr allows teams from other nations to close the gap by buying cheaper level but experienced talented players who are down on their luck for now.
3695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 25, 2021, 09:29:15 PM
Benzema can't always carry the team but he is still doing a great job that's for sure. But even he couldn't prevent the point loss against Betis last night. They have a CL game too and because of that I guess they couldn't focus fully on this game.
Interestingly I feel like all the goals Benzema had was basically the system focusing on a good striker to score the goals. Don't get me wrong I am not saying Benzema otherwise wouldn't be able to score goals, he is a marvelous striker and he would great anywhere, I am just talking about the number that's it, put him on liverpool instead of Firmino for example and he would score 10 goals at best, not because he is bad, Firmino is not bad, he is great and so is Benzema but the system there is different and helps all attackers, even backs if they are up front, it is a whole team offense whereas in Real it is more like "get the ball to person who suppose to score" type of striker mentality.

This is why I think it is quite obvious he has more goals than he normally would in another strategy. At the end of the day Zidane is a great manager but he needs to bring other plaers into play on offense, he is amazing on defense management but his offense needs help.
3696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: RIP Stocks on: April 25, 2021, 09:09:34 PM
Now I am not sure whether what I have done was good or bad but I think it's high time now and I should have done it already.
I just sold ALL my stocks and have decided to go all in and trade crypto. I won't be asking which crypto to invest in because I have my own choices already.
It's obvious that the amount of profit in crypto is much more than stocks. At least that's what I have experienced with 2 years of trading stocks.
Although I earned a little profits I think I could have made those profits in a very short time in crypto.
Hence I just sold all my stocks 2 days back and waiting for the funds to get to my bank account.

I will be using all those funds and invest in some coins I have decided to invest in and then see how much profits I make in crypto.
All the best to guys who are here and surviving. Keep going on. We are here for the long run.
I believe there is nothing wrong with that. Obviously speaking stocks are not bad, I am not suggesting everyone to just leave all stocks behind and move to crypto, it is a personal preference thing, doing it is not right or wrong, not doing it is not right or wrong. You can stay in stocks, you can leave stocks, you can do anything you want and it would not be right or wrong from the start. What could make it wrong?

If you are making great profits in stock and move it all to crypto and start losing a lot of money, that would be bad, if you are in stocks and losing money but move to crypto and make money that would be great, so basically if you did a good thing or not depends on the results. Which is why I think we should care about the future and take a look what happens after we make a decision to see if you did a good thing or you were wrong with that.
3697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading strategies on: April 25, 2021, 08:48:52 PM
Bitcoin and altcoins are heavily correlated, we all know that but they do not move at exactly the same speed and we can clearly see this is the case, at the beginning of this bull run most of the growth was concentrated on bitcoin and that is why its dominance was going up almost everyday.

Now we are seeing the opposite with altcoins growing faster than bitcoin and taking away some of the dominance of bitcoin, so even if both altcoins and bitcoin move on roughly the same direction the rate at which they do is different and that can be enough to produce profits with the right strategy.
But I'm not sure what kind of strategy will be useful here when bitcoin and altcoins are moving on the same direction but at different rate. Because what I am trying to say here is, instead of focusing on bitcoin dominance as a bigger thing here for decision making, we can go for fundamental and technical analysis on altcoins to predict its direction; that will be much easier than get confusing about bitcoin dominance as a tool to predict the movements of altcoins.

As far as my experience concerned, there cannot any single rule which will be demonstrating how bitcoin dominance is influencing the movements of bitcoin and altoins and how affects each other. So, focusing on other strategy will be helpful and less confusing.
3698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do the same scenario in 2018 ? on: April 25, 2021, 08:10:14 PM
In terms of the overall market, I believe we are still bullish and the uptrend is still in place. If we look at previous price action, we see that there is usually a one month consolidation before a breakout to new highs. We can still go lower (to $ 45 k - $ 46 k), but I expect a full recovery after that.
Another correction before full recovery seems reasonable because in the past bitcoin has traded like that only. We could expect bitcoin to consolidate from this point but another round of correction also possible at any time because whales may manipulate easily right now so that they will get into bitcoin for more cheaper prices.

Whales are always known for manipulating bitcoin market and when market is already into correction phase then their manipulation will be higher degree in order to make most of this current situation of bitcoin markets. So, getting ready to face anything could be good idea.
3699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the significance of taking profit on: April 25, 2021, 07:40:45 PM
when there is a chance to take profit, take it, small or big, it's again, I saw some posting they earn millions, they are so happy, but after a day they regret it, why because they are so ambitious, and no contentment on what they have, always take gains, don't let it slip away or your regret it.
But, you're forgetting one important thing here; markets may bounce back at any time so that we will continue our profit level but you're talking like this is the end and there will be no return of market into bullish mode; or at least you're sounding like that to me. People who are missing profits by not booking may not need to regret when they are holding known coins like etehreum/BNB but people who are holding shitcoins and random tokens, might have booked when they were in profits; no exceptions.

So, it is all about what kind of coins/tokens you're holding; when you're believing into your due diligence then you never need to worry about because when you're holding good coins and tokens then definitely you will get bigger profits than before.
3700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Dogecoin still worth to invest? on: April 25, 2021, 06:51:42 PM
Actually it's not too late if there are still people who want to invest in Dogecoin, because after correction there will usually be a further increase even though everyone won't know when it will happen again, so what needs to be considered in this case is the size of the risk when someone chooses Dogecoin for the investment.
Yeah there are people still speculating about dogecoins to be reaching $1 price level in coming days. Probably it has stopped its rally right now because bitcoin market is not into bullish trend like before which may be the reason why people started suspecting about continuing investing with dogecoins. But, honestly I'm not having any doubts about the future of dogecoins because it is backed by billionaires.

When there are people for continuously pump dogecoins, I guess we can invest with it without any big hesitations. But, obvious plan for long-term holding that will help even on the occurrence of unexpected events.
