3681  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: August 24, 2021, 01:46:51 PM
Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin investments?

Financial stability is not necessarily mandatory, but it is a key factor to be a gainer in bitcoin investment, another factor being "discipline".

The basic needs of man are food, clothing and shelter. A financially stable person to me is one who has been able to satisfy these basic needs and has a bit more for luxury and investment and any unforeseen circumstance like say an accident or medical emergency. If a financially stable person is beset with an emergency need, he can get money for it without thinking of liquidating any of their investment.

The case is however different for someone who is not yet financially stable where the decision to invest is a decision to sacrifice some other pleasures and live poorly or below standard at times, for such an individual to gain properly from bitcoin investment is very difficult.
3682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK 20% of the gambling venues are located at the poorest part of the country on: August 23, 2021, 11:17:49 PM
Another reason apart from the economic cost and employment opportunities, may be because of accessibility and convenience. Gambling venues are located in places where the vast majority of persons both the poor and the rich that still gamble offline will have no problems visiting. A rich person can easily access the gambling venues in these poor locations (so far they are safe) and still place his bet of they are the type that like gambling, but the reverse is the case for the poor who will not want to go so far or go into a rich location to gamble.
3683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The differences between digital money and cryptocurrency. on: August 23, 2021, 02:05:19 PM
I think you should use fiat vs cryptocurrencies, even cryptocurrencies are more referred to digital currencies.

I'm trying to spell out that not all digital currencies are cryptocurrencies, hence the "digital money" in the topic, i think if i had used just fiat, it may be perceived as though i mean physical money (hard currency)which i don't, and then the objective of the topic for people to understand that cryptocurrency is a form of digital currency and not the only digital currency, will have been defeated.

The other type of digital currency is the "virtual currency".
3684  Other / Beginners & Help / The differences between digital money and cryptocurrency. on: August 23, 2021, 10:35:46 AM
The words cryptocurrency and digital currency have been used so much by newbies & beginners that most now think they mean the same thing. Although cryptocurrency is a form of digital currency, there still exist some clear cut differences between the two.

For ease sake, i have tabulated the difference under major key points;

3685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know is time to walk? on: August 23, 2021, 10:18:37 AM
You know it's time to walk away from gambling when it has started interfering with your life and decisions such that you now attach more importance to gambling than other activities.

Another pointer to walk away is when you have been in an unending streak of losses such that it has eaten a big hole into your pocket and is now wanting to cause you depression, in this case of you can run away, you run.

It is not easy however for some to just walk away from a thing like gambling especially if they've been intertwined with it for a while, if you fall into that category that even with all the pointers to walk away, and just can't or couldn't, it is best you seek medical help and join a self care group.
3686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel wiser after you play online crypto gambling? on: August 23, 2021, 03:10:54 AM

After playing for a long time, do you feel any changes to yourself?  I mean, for the first time, we can play gambling with a rush and not consider anything, just play. And if we win, that is a big moment, but if we lose, we will keep playing until we win.

If being more observant and more analytic in studying patterns and numbers count as wisdom, then yes, i feel wiser and to answer directly, i'd say a lot has changed from the first time i gambled and i owe this changes to the looses i made while gambling, because they forced me to become more observant and analytic before placing any bet.
3687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 04:42:36 PM
This should have read Sports Betting or casino Gambling as both are types of gambling.

Very correct. Gambling is gambling, anything that involves staking something to get something better is gambling. The most common of course is gambling with money. Sports betting and casino gambling may only sound as two different terms when you are very exposed and in a place with casinos and sports betting places, somewhere like a big developed city.

However for someone in a developing or underdeveloped area with probably only a sports betting shop, it is still the same level of compulsive behaviour (addiction) that he fights, that the person who always visits the casino in the city fights as well. There's no need painting it.
3688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 04:25:49 PM

They don't have the squad to match Chelsea today, I don't think they'll score against Chelsea today.
It's going to be a 0---2 win Chelsea.

It is 2-0 already in favour of Chelsea, Arsenal will be lucky if the score sheet remain the same because from what i have seen in this first half, there are definitely more goals to come.

On the other hand, Is the premier League even ready for Lukaku? He is looking very formidable and efficient, his presence has really been a great influence on the other Chelsea players this first half.

I predict 4-1 in favour of Chelsea.

3689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 01:31:08 PM
The match between Pacman vs. Ugas was very exciting to watch and nothing short of my expectation . Big congrats to Ugas for winning and also the pacman for giving it his best even though he was not completely fit and age is already telling on him. As this may be his last boxing match which i hope, the pacman is still going to be in the Category of the Greatest of All time fighters for me. He has had a great run.

3690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin increase wealth equality? on: August 22, 2021, 04:49:57 AM
From the topic of OP, i will like to place emphasis first on the word "wealth" which is not to be mistaken with "riches".
One becomes wealthy when he has been able to sustain riches through investments and other ventures, it is not short lived. To be rich on the other hand is characterized by having money (if you can satisfy your 3 basic needs in life and have a bit more for some luxury, you are rich) it is definitely short lived without investment.

If you now substitute the real meaning of wealth into the main question, it becomes - Does bitcoin increase "sustainable riches" equality?

My answer is yes for the rich who were and will be wise to invest being that bitcoin and cryptocurrency has no end in view, i don't see a better definition of the word "sustainable". Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is the best investment option of the century.
3691  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: August 22, 2021, 03:45:04 AM

but admit the fact that Bitcoin is not created in purpose of Asset or Holding

Very true, bitcoin was not intended to become a speculative asset for holding, in my opinion, Nakamoto's original purpose for the creation of bitcoin is to give the user control and freedom over their money and eliminate the third party interference from traditional banks. This singular purpose has not been defeated completely, but has metaphorsed and evolved such that bitcoin has found multiple purpose for its users, one of them is it becoming an asset.

It is deemed an asset now because it's volatility/liquidity is still very high, The original intention for it as an alternative currency will come into play when its liquidity has reduced, and almost all the mineable bitcoin has been mined. The value will by then become stable and the original intention the creators have for it will materialize.
3692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: August 21, 2021, 01:37:17 PM
Liverpool is up 1 to nil but Burnley is playing well and surprisingly an attacking threat in the first half.  I feel like Burney could get one in if it continues in the second half.  Maybe via set piece?

In the second half of the game, i feel Liverpool were the better side but they missed a lot of chances, they could have gotten more goals... I hope they sharpen up on this before their next fixture against Chelsea.

3693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you miss Bitcoin? on: August 21, 2021, 08:35:42 AM

Why didn't most people expect Bitcoin to be as brilliant as it is today?

Within the time when we started to hear about cryptocurrency and bitcoin in my locale, many had lost all their capital to a perfectly planned ponzi scheme that lasted for well over six months and completely won over the believe of many people until the whole system crashed and people lost their money to the scheme during the festive season. It was a really terrible time for everyone who had invested their money into this online venture, so no one was particularly interested in paying or giving attention and ears to any word about digital or online money. This is perhaps the reason in my locale why many people did not expect bitcoin to be as brilliant as it is today.

A friend told me about bitcoin and it's prospects then, but i was too pained and skeptical being that i just lost my money to one online ponzi to even want to believe another no matter how genuine that it sounded. In my head, it was just another elaborate ponzi scheme. This is why i didn't purchase bitcoin at first, bot like the information wasn't there, but because of my previous experience, i was too reluctant to act.

3694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things to know before trading. on: August 21, 2021, 02:06:49 AM

3. You must give yourself time: ...Because trading is a long-term endeavor, you must devote sufficient time to learning.

Super emphasis should be placed on this. The time factor is very important and beginner traders should understand that trading is not as easy as they they thought and that if they check properly the background of the traders that they are drawing inspiration or motivation from to trade, they would find out that the vast majority of them have dedicated ample time to trading and developed strategies modified and best suited to them.

Patience is very important, because in the duration of time you will be tried, there will be both sad and happy days while you trade,  but the patience to understand that there is a very important factor called "time" in learning is what will count.

Give yourself time.
3695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mobile phone vs. laptop vs. tab...what's your preferred device for day trading? on: August 21, 2021, 01:43:00 AM
I'm not a full time day trader, but if i were to be, i'd definitely prefer a big monitor screen for my analysis when i am sited comfortably at my home or in the office and then a tab or Mobile phone when i'm on the go. In other words, my preference changes depends on my current location and activity.

Because real time monitoring is needed in day trading, i consider all devices important to be successful at it.
3696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all your assets, Investing in Bitcoin is really a madness or beneficial ? on: August 21, 2021, 01:20:35 AM
A USA family sell all there assets and with that amount they invest in Bitcoin in 2019. as in 2021 BTC was on its peak ! So they get huge profit.

This is a case of one putting all their eggs in one basket, though may seem beneficial, but is relatively dangerous and unadvisable because you may loose everything at a go. What some smart investors will tell you is to diversify, that is spread your money into different good investments which is better.
3697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep casino tokens or sell for new investment? on: August 20, 2021, 03:03:59 PM

Casino tokens were created primarily for the gambling platform that you play in. Without any movement or anything at all, it is better to dispose them and convert them to cash to purchase another investment- but then again, it depends on your priority at the moment.

If the casino tokens in question are the limited edition casino tokens that are priceless and that you value priceless items and a collector, it is okay to keep, but if otherwise, and a bright investment options surfaces, selling the casino tokens is okay.
3698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Describe your first gambling experience? on: August 20, 2021, 02:07:52 PM
Free money! Was what i shouted the first time i gambled on a virtual soccer match and i won, i was so excited and intrigue at the way my small money had increased by 6 times in just a moment, i said to myself quietly, it seems like gambling is good for me, little did i know that i was already getting hooked on to the game.

After winning twice on my first attempt, i acted smartly and told the customer attendant that i no longer wanted to play, i demanded for my earnings, once i was paid i hurried off away happily.

I had played a couple of times afterwards and lost but it never did dawn on me until i used the money meant for my tuition to gamble, lost to games my friends promised were "sure odds", and was almost faced with the option of redoing a whole semester for the reason of no tuition. This is worst gambling experience.

Please share your own best and worst gambling experience?
3699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking vs investment on: August 20, 2021, 11:40:56 AM

Crypto trading:
Trading involves the buying of one commodity in exchange for another it could be something of either a higher value or lesser value. For example if you buy ETH in exchange for USD it's called Fx/crypto trading. If Bitcoin is exchanged for ETH then we can say Crypto trading has taken place and this requires lots of analysis.

Investors :
This are crypto experts who understands which coin or token will do well in the near future by studying previous chats or following up with news related to crypto generally. This also requires some level of technicality. This experts study coins newly listed in various exchanges, follow up on news released by their fellow experts as well as tweets by crypto influencers.

It is also worthy to note that you can find a lot of investors who are not traders, but very few traders who are not investors.

Most traders have a portfolio that they have allocated for investments, it is just that because they are not completely patient on waiting alone for their investments to yield profit or not too satisfied with the profit margin, hence they seek to make more profits for themselves and their portfolio, so they branch into trading.
3700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 20, 2021, 05:00:21 AM
Even then it is difficult to see Canelo losing this fight even at that weight, Canelo right now is at his prime, he has his best physical condition, his body can take the most damage and he now has enough experience to create an intelligent plan for the fight, honestly I do not see him losing this fight regardless of the weight, I know that Bivol is good but it is not anywhere close the level Canelo is in right now.

I would have really loved to see a fight between Canelo and Caleb being that Caleb has a championship belt that Canelo wants to make history as the as the first undisputed super middleweight champion in the IBF, but since negotiations have fallen out, i guess this fight with Bivol will suffice even though just reputation and not their championship belts will be at stake.

Just as you said, Canelo is a favourite for the fight against Bivol, his morale is really high from his last three fights agains Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim, and Billy Joe Saunders. I hope Bivol can match his momentum.
