3681  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is anybody using OWNR wallet? on: February 22, 2020, 03:09:35 PM
Unless I am mistaken, and I'm sure there will be a ton of people here who will correct me.
There are no multi-alt-coin open source wallets for mobile.
-snip-

There is Hodlerwallet[1] and also Trust wallet (owned by Binance) which used to be open source for iOS only but now, it seems like the GitHub repository has been archived[2] (but you should still be able to compile it yourself).

3682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin through SMS/Text Messaging? on: February 22, 2020, 10:53:15 AM
As suggested by @LoyceMobile, you have Sat2.io (using the lightning network). I've used the service in the past, and it works just fine. But keep in mind that:

- The service is not decentralized. If they shut down, your funds are lost.
- The receiver must have a lightning network wallet in order to receive the funds (I believe only Bluewallet is supported).
- You can send up to 0.0425BTC (LN limit). If you try to send a higher amount, you'll get an error.

3685  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Skype Parser on: February 21, 2020, 02:36:31 PM
Interesting, I didn't know about this feature of Skype.

If it's not urgent (I may or may not make a first version this week-end) and you don't mind to install run a windows exe (I can give you the C# source code and instructions to build it yourself too), I can do it for free.
You said that you want your messages on the right side and other's on left. You didn't take into account the conversations with 3 or more parties and I am not sure how to display those (maybe everybody else on the left?)

It's not urgent and I also don't mind running a .exe if I have the source code for it (I'm familiar with C#). Thanks!

If it's a group conversation, then yes, everyone has to be on the left, except for me but you don't have to take that into consideration, as I'm not interested in reading any group chat.
3686  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is anybody using OWNR wallet? on: February 21, 2020, 09:14:01 AM
I'm pretty sure Bitfinex wouldn't make a partnership with an illegitimate business but I also don't see the point of using this wallet, especially when you have wallets like Exodus and Coinomi that offers even more features and also support more coins.

-snip-
Yes, i know that a cold wallet can be more secure although i prefer hot ones.

The security and safety of your funds should always be your top priority, you might regret this in the future.
3687  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin requiring KYC now? on: February 20, 2020, 07:09:54 PM
I just logged into the app and tried to withdraw. It seems like everything is fine (able to withdraw up to 2 BTC/24hours). I haven't received any emails from them except about their giveaway and partnership with WinPlay.app.

Edit: that's correct, I'm not from the U.S.
3688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa approves Coinbase as Principal Member - big step for mass adoption? on: February 20, 2020, 04:57:38 PM
We have to get services to accept bitcoin directly. I mean, if we're willing to give our identity away (KYC) and pay high fees (comparing debit cards to crypto), then why use bitcoin in the first place? Personally, I don't see this helping bitcoin in any way.
3689  Economy / Digital goods / Amazon GC (DE) on: February 20, 2020, 04:47:18 PM
I need a 50 EUR gift card for Amazon.de (85% using preev).

If you don't have the full amount, I can take smaller amounts, 15 EUR is the minimum. P.M or post below if interested.

Bitfinex no longer supports SMS for confirmations, which I've been using for years. I hate google and I haven't used any google software for years, so I have no choice but to buy a Fido key, but I don't know where to find one, and I certainly won't get one today!

You don't necessarily have to use Google's app for 2FA. You can use Authy instead. I find it to be much better since it allows you to backup your keys.
3691  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis gives away FREE Ledger Nano S! on: February 19, 2020, 05:06:39 PM
Is it not better for them to send a discount code or any way to send the gift without revealing the identity of the dealers? Calling the phone number or communicating with the emails.
How many wallets will be sent? Will the gifts be sent directly or through an intermediary " Paybis will ship them to you."
I have heard a lot about this platform and have a lot of positive reviews.

The ledger nano will be given to only one person so the odds of winning are very slim. Also, it doesn't really matter how they give you the product because you must submit your documents before being able to trade on their platform anyway. In other words, if you win, you will just give them your address "again".

أريد أن أضيف بعص النقاط (و الاجابة على بعض الأسئلة):

لقد قمت بتجربة هذه البطاقة مع العديد من المواقع و لم أجد أي مشاكل:

- Netflix
- Shipito
- Steam
- Euroflorist
- Hungry.dk

3693  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy Bitcoins Via Credit Cards without verifications , real or fake? on: February 19, 2020, 10:47:49 AM
Even if it's real, why would you risk getting your card details stolen by a third-party provider?

I wouldn't be worried about that since they're accepting payments through Payeer (which is a reputable service).

I still wouldn't recommend using the service though. If you check their homepage, you'll see that they claim to have 8100~ reviews in Trustpilot (without giving a link) but if you google for it, you'll end up with this page where 46% of only 71 total reviews are "bad".
3694  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: London cashless transactions on: February 18, 2020, 07:11:46 PM
From what I know even Bitcoin ATMs in the UK require KYC or else their service will just be limited to the people who are transacting without any KYC. I did a little research about BitAccess ATMs and also they require KYC for their transactions so I think this option isn't really what the OP is looking for.
-snip-

It's being some time since I last used their ATMs, but IIRC the limits were high (~1500 GBP per day).

Also, KYC is pretty easy to avoid here. If you think you're going to exceed the limits, just change the phone number you're using.
3695  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: February 18, 2020, 11:13:30 AM
Best debit card for a
US resident?
US resident that travels aboard?
Is bitpay still the best?
Thanks.

There are only two cards for U.S citizens. BitPay and Monaco, so there isn't much to choose from.

The main difference between the two cards is that Bitpay's support BTC only while MCO card supports many currencies (both fiat/crypto) and you can also stake their own token.
3696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to change BTC sendre's adress? on: February 18, 2020, 10:25:18 AM
Wow thank you guys for so many answers)
My task is to emitate in certain website a multiple payments (orders). I really buy all those services but the seller have to be sure that all those purcheses are from different people. Payment method is BTC. So as i understand the way is to use mixer. How does it work? I make some deposit on Mixer BTC adress, then "mix" them and withdraw to adress of my seller? Am i right?
And after this manipulation (if seller will check) my adresse will differ every time?

Use Electrum[1] as a wallet and ChipMixer[2] (start by reading the FAQ) to mix your coins.

After sending funds to ChipMixer, you'll be given multiple private keys that you can sweep[3] into your Electrum wallet. You can then send the funds from your wallet to the seller's address.

3697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to return USDT (Tether) sent to the wrong address? on: February 18, 2020, 09:41:43 AM
Thank you very much, but I did not quite understand how I can use this key. I sent USDT from myetherwallet.com to exchange.blockchain.com (not wallet) and I only have a transaction link.

There are two types of USDT:

- ERC20 Token (based on Ethereum's blockchain)
- Omni Token (Based on bitcoin's blockchain)

If you managed to send the funds from MEW to The pit (blockchain's exchange) Ethereum address, it means that they do support the ERC20 token.

The exchange doesn't give you full control over your funds (no access to your private keys) though, so the only one who can recover the funds for you would be the exchange itself. If they said the address doesn't belong to them, you should consider scanning your computer, as you might have a clipboard malware that changes the address (to the attacker's) whenever you copy-paste.

Settings > Options > Display

3699  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: February 17, 2020, 05:23:39 PM
Why you dont want to show your code base if you are non-custodial & secure?

It appears that they have plans on making their wallet (or at least some of it) open source in the future: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221651.msg53770275#msg53770275

If you want a multi-coin wallet that is open source, you should either go with an HW wallet (Ledger/Trezor) or HODLER wallet.

Yes we do don't reset the filter, because we think its more comfortable for the user if his region is selected when he comes back to the site. Or?

I just gave the region as an example. I was mainly referring to the other filters (crypto and brand). In my opinion, these are not supposed to remain the same after each visit to the site while the region filter should automatically be detected and changed based on your location.

Could the confirmations be fee based?
If you set a low fee do they wait for 6, but if you use a medium or high fee they just take the risk?
Same with do you have RBF set on your wallet when sending?

-Dave

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. If you check the screenshots I posted above, you can see that the confirmations are determined before I even send the funds.
