Put it up on github so we can see the source before installing it, it would give more trust on your part, and YES I KNOW I CAN DOWNLOAD THAT UNZIP IT AND LOOK AT THE SOURCE but that is annoying.
3682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Plugin System Idea on: June 24, 2012, 04:58:49 PM
Only way this would work is if plugins could not touch sending BTC or receiving BTC also if it had a kill switch so at anytime I can just hit a button and disable all plugins or there is a build with no plugin system.

Thanks!

I have another question about VPS services.

If a VPS is setup only for your Bitcoin transactions, the Blockchain doesn't have to be loaded into RAM, right?
Most simple VPS services offer at least 10GB in their most basic setup, so that can't be a problem?

I'm not sure and this quote makes me even less sure Smiley

I don't know about your VPS, but mine can't even fit the blockchain anymore.

Can anyone confirm / correct?
no 10gb should be good for now, but keep an eye on it and make sure your not going to run out of space in the future.
and if you get 512mb for the ram and only run bitcoind on it you should be good.
3684  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-6-23 torrentfreak.com - PayPal Bans BitTorrent Friendly VPN Provider on: June 24, 2012, 06:16:23 AM
The VPN provider in question, https://torguard.net/, already accepts Bitcoin.
maybe paypal banned them cause they say "100% Server uptime Guarantee" Which is pretty much impossible

I was going to put an offer in, but can you tell me more about the burn marks? Do you know what caused them?
3687  Economy / Securities / Re: [BOUNTY FOR SOMEONE TO DO THIS] NASDAQ Stock on: June 24, 2012, 02:25:27 AM
A mining corp. will probably confuse people, just get a good company that accepts bitcoins on the exchange, that is it. Mining corps wouldn't even have a good business plan to make impact for people to see.

but you can't report a bug that is a feature and part of the protocol. That is like trying to report a bug that your taxes are too much, if you made a lot of money. BTW GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND TRY IT SOMETIME!
3689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Working implementation of the real Bitcoin Client on the web on: June 23, 2012, 09:15:33 PM
There are a bit more to it than that. But I think I will open source it on the request of psy  Cool

sounds good just make sure you put it on github that is my only request

May I ask why?

Wait you need a reason more than it a hosting platform that using Git?

So many reasons...

1) It is easy to clone and fetch updates
2) People can fork your source code and change it to make it better
3) Those people can then submit a Pull Request with the changes helping the original code get better
4) It has syntax highlighting when looking at the code
5) It has an easy way to display a Readme so people know how to use your code
6) It has a wiki
7) It has an Issue Manager
Cool IT IS GIT

Can you open source it with instructions on how we should connect it to the API using our own Walletbit.com account? Tongue

Can I charge for the instructions?  Tongue

I am going to be honest, just open source it, otherwise just looking thru your site and quick

Code:
wget \
     --recursive \
     --no-clobber \
     --page-requisites \
     --html-extension \
     --convert-links \
     --restrict-file-names=windows \
     --no-parent \
http://blockchain.dk/

and one could have the whole site, and then they would just have to setup the connectors and they can use anything like instawallet, etc. This way if you provided the source code they would most likely use your service Smiley
3692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had your choice to get paid in BTC or local money which would you choose? on: June 23, 2012, 05:40:58 PM
bitcoin cause it is more of like getting paid in stock since the price can rise. So a job that would have paid like $50 paid ~16 btc when it was $3 is now worth ~$105 so that speaks for it self.

I've been using skude.se for a week now. Highly recommend.

if you enjoy that check out my chrome faucet chrome extension for time tracking
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84112.0

everything is open source so you can see everything that is happening, there are no secret magic, no cookies, it is all controlled by you, which is one of the core values of bitcoins. Cause with a web site as soon as the hosting becomes too high or it isn't worth his time you lose your faucet time tracking source with my extension that can never happen!

we need a self signed IPA, just an air file is no good
3697  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Camming Site on: June 22, 2012, 06:00:19 PM
no it is a wate of time to try get it to work on iphone, also why don't you convert the air app to a native apk for android cause for android you can just host your own apk and have people install that way it would be easier
3698  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Camming Site on: June 22, 2012, 04:10:08 PM
It should work on a iPhone too as it's an air app (only flash player is not supported on iOS). I am only certain I allowed camera and microphone on Android though. I tested on both emulators and it seems to work, but it's not weird if it doesn't Wink

What kind of behavior do you experience?

Air isn't support on Iphone there isn't even an app to make it possible, not even on a jailbreak iphone, what your thinking of there is a way of converting AIR to a native iphone app but that is a adobe tool.
3699  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Camming Site on: June 22, 2012, 02:30:36 AM
I quickly wrapped up a Mobile version of the site to broadcast (I disabled viewing because it looked like crap lol, I need to redo the scaling but will be quite easy). I got a request for this on the site and when I checked it out I tried to quickly get something working.

Please be aware this is very very alpha as porting involved disabling quite some stuff I don't have time to redo now. Enjoy and please report your experience http://cam4btc.com/Main.air
Doesn't work on an iPhone.

it is flash and an air app so yea it will not work on the iphone js

Why don't you get a small VPS, put bitcoind on it, lock it down so only request from and to GAE are possible using the linux firewall, you know lockdown SSH. And you should be good to go.
