Good idea. On the flip side, I don't know that we need any more alt coins... Well, yeah ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) But just like Namecoin (and Dianna?), there surely will be other ideas for alts that innovate in some way. Hopefully. There was one idea about a possible chain with useful proof of works (as opposed to Bitcoin's "wasted" proof of works), that sounded actually plausible. I haven't investigated too deeply, so I don't know if it'll stick. Also, yeah, I know that Bitcoin's POW isn't actually wasted, it's spent securing the network, ... innovation isn't from copying terbix/bitcoin, and changing the genesis block. it's about adding NEW features, and NEW proof of work. People who can't figure out how to make simple code changes are likely unable to create anything revolutionary.

Can anyone tell me what chip is used in BFL single? Just want to know if it's custom made, or a mass produced fpga.

If it is just random pick I'm thinking to have two wallets running. One to accept payment and leave there, another to send payments. Once in a while swap their functions.
it's not random. It's designed to maximize coin age and reduce inputs.

May be suspicious but again does not mean this is a scam, it isnt. I am sorry my spelling is not 100% I did not realise I had to have perfect spelling and grammar to be trustworthy.
Sure, you may be 100% legit, but that doesn't mean people will automatically trust you, just because you said you were. If you act suspiciously (grammar & spelling mistakes, low post count, inconsistent story, etc.), you're creating a bad image for yourself. Just a word of advice. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Very suspicious though and you can't spell "definitely" ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) you would think that a newbie trying to gain respect will try to at least spell properly.

I considered doing this as well... but I wasn't really sure what the point of it would be. I'm not crapping on your pool or the idea, I'm glad someone has done it... but what is the ultimate goal?
I thought the point of P2Pool was to get away from aggregate pools, so isn't this just trading bitcoind for p2pool and everything else remains the same, or is something missing from my analysis?
It's for people who are too lazy to run a p2pool node, or people who can't deal with the increased variance.

Well, when you have 16.5Kw per hour running through 18 computers, I guess you'll find out.
So do issues pop up on a daily basis?

I can't believe you think 0.0.0.0 represents a single entity.
edit: [20:51] <gmaxwell> gruez: no, it's just broken. [20:51] <gruez> gmaxwell: oh [20:51] <gmaxwell> gruez: The site claims the blocks are being found by 0.0.0.0

You would not believe how much work it takes to get 30Gh up and running, let along running 24/7 without issues.
I have a HUGE amount of respect for anyone who takes on this challenge and succeeds.
Sorry for my ignorance, but my PC hashes everyday without issue. What can be so hard about running a mining farm?

How much are you willing to pay? Under market price i assume?

I wooted. Wonder if it would work better if you put it in the fridge ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) another way FPGA is better than GPU ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

GPU that has spent a year mining at full steam ... not as much resale value as one might think.
Buyer doesn't have to know that... ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif)

But you can use a computer with 4+ GPU's for something else. Good luck using the FPGA for anything else but BTC mining.
You are not comparing the same thing! You can use the computer with FPGA's connected to it also. Good luck using your GPUs for anything else while it's BTC mining. in an event of a crash GPU - has resale value FPGA - no resale value So despite FPGA being more power efficient, and possibly cheaper than GPUs, GPUs have less risk.

0.005 LTC? No offence, but that's 0.0007 US cents. You should bump it up to 1 LTC per person.
