3681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Security in Crypto Matters? on: September 23, 2020, 11:26:15 AM
In built protection like 2fa's and verification neither on mail or otp wont really be enough or shall we say 100% safe because most common errors do really target out on the user itself

which means we should really be sensible on keeping those valuable informations in to secure place that no one would able to see it on.Security does matter just like on what we've been doing on keeping our money in banks. The difference here is that we've been storing it on online. It might hard to be bruteforced but once those info's will leak then expect for you to
lost money.
It's your responsibility to keep your crypto safe. If you're not using necessary precaution/protection like metacert and phishfort to prevent phishing it's your fault for being careless and just carelessly logging in your sensitive informations without checking if its the right site or to some form. In internet, we can't really trust anyone so if you've received some link you should not just carelessly open it or download it.

There are few people lazy about using those necessary details to keep their account secured and there are also others who doesn't know about the methods about how to secure their account properly so maybe if there's something like information drive about account security for sure we can see those hacking, phising or other bad attack minimize. And we shouldn't trust anyone or anything that can possibly lure us since for sure hackers are just there waiting for their potential victims so we should be informative on safety and security to avoid this.

NLEX Road Warriors star Larry Fonacier isnt going to join his team in the pba bubble.

He is first pba player to opt out of December start for new season

https://www.espn.com/basketball/pba/story/_/id/29936046/larry-fonacier-join-nlex-pba-bubble

Not good, NLEX surely will miss his contribution, he is one of the best 3 point shooters in the PBA, he can help the struggling NLEX when PBA resume. Hopefully that's okay with the team, people nowadays really does not want to risk, and he made his choice, same with the NBA, some players opt out in the bubble.

Of course, he is needed as they only have limited 3 pointers in the team, they also have Philip Paniamogan, I don't know who among the players are good shooters too but their Star Ravena, I don't see him consistent in 3 points. Also, Larry Fonacier might retire soon as he is already 38 years old, he only playing with limited minutes.

They still have Alas,Baguio and Cruz so provably they can fill the slot of fonacier in his absence. Honestly I'm not Impressed with the play of Ravena even in international games as well in Pba since he dribble to much and seems he always want to take the shoot even if his struggling.
3683  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 22, 2020, 10:36:06 AM
When i have time i go to local market to check prices

Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase
...

And my country is a exporter of food products

How is it in your country ? Same ?

Are you from? At least state on which country are you on since its so pathetic to hear that and I think your government is so lazy watching those things happening. On our country we have price control where certain goods especially basic essentials are monitored.

But I also notice some certain price increase for past months while lockdown is happening since the basic goods and other essentials are getting a hard time pass on every border that's why the government let some little changes on the price due to the events but for now all is totally controlled here since lockdown has been lift out.

Also our internal currency exchange is almost ready to meet you:)

Good feature for a casino to have a internal exchange, it lessen the hassle for people who want to exchange to minimize the fee and they will never go anywhere just to exchange their coins, so I must say I'm totally impressed for having this.

Will surely wait for this good update

3685  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Another Sad Story of Losing $80K worth of Crypto Because of Fake App on: September 21, 2020, 11:39:24 PM
In his case,  he downloaded a fake version of Exodus wallet.

You cannot let your guard down talaga...grabe, no one is immune to the scammers kahit beterano ka pa.

How I Lost $80,000 Worth Of Ethereum In 2 Minutes

3686  Economy / Economics / Re: Enough with BITCOIN SAVE us or the economy on: September 21, 2020, 11:48:08 AM
In essence, bitcoin is used as a means of payment and supports the economy because the price is fluctuating so that it can be used for investment, the problem is that the price is very volatile which makes people afraid because it can make your money decrease in a short time. and what will happen if everyone knows / uses bitcoin and the total supply has been used up in mining, will the price going stable or more volatile than now Roll Eyes
The problem is people have lack of knowledge to what bitcoin can really offer. They should know and understand that price is very volatile though it can save someones life. I believe it can save us in a way we can use bitcoin as means of payment and indeed supports economy in the sense of good opportunity and benefits can give to the users.

The market volatility is what indeed a cause a major upset to the interest of the people although bitcoin could really change lives still people need to understand first the risk on it since if they will just rely on tradings or by investing on some platforms then for sure they cannot earn a richest here. Maybe they should try to offer some valuable technical services since blockchain works or any web related jobs which been payed with bitcoins can give them a good fortune in this industry.
3687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ‘Young Investment’ Wallets at Highest Level Since February 2018 on: September 21, 2020, 10:37:30 AM
With another surge for bitcoin for the recent months, that clicked the curiosity again of people of what bitcoin is. And upon learning that there's a bullish scene that's happening, that's what made them decide to invest on it.

Also, while people are staying at home. They have done their research proving what bitcoin is and if it's a worth investment to take, and the result it could be that research made by chainanalysis.
It will also be interesting as to what level is "bitcoin" in Google's search algorithm, I wouldn't be surprised if it also spike and will continue to spike in the next coming months as we are in a sort of mini bull run after the block halving. And with people really just staying at home because of the current pandemic, there could be some who are entering and investing in bitcoin. Regardless though, we all know that an all time high will be forthcoming and I do hope that those young investors can join the fun ride that we will be having.

We're expecting them to come again if the actual bull run comes and it's making the speculators crazy and even those observers that are still in the middle of their thinking whether to buy or not.

Maybe the one who leaves are those victims of ponzi scheme since for sure they will leave bitcoin once they didn't find any profitable platform for them to join with, but if they are trade d provably they are just there hodling or waiting for possible best entry to buy and earn even if the market is in bad shape right now.

3689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 20, 2020, 11:14:10 PM

I considered those sanctions as heavy. If the PBA wants to add more, then much better.

Players should understand that PBA is doing this to prevent any worst-case scenario inside the bubble.

Just having a 1 suspected case will affect all people inside the bubble that might result in suspending the season for good.

Good news the have several days for further preparation regarding on ensuring the safety protocols of the players and other people who will be part of the bubble.

But for sure they have studied all the scenario and will have an counteraction if something bad happen but lets not focus on those things for now and think positively that bubble will became successful and no bad case will occur.
3690  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: September 20, 2020, 09:58:20 PM
At one point I was hounded by these buyers, reported few of them who eventually were banned. There might be others who might have faced the same consequences.

Never ever beg or buy Merits as in the end you will lose your account as well as your money.

Try to earn it by posting quality content.

But not all does have that kind of capability on making a good quality content that's why they do end up on having this option.

Yes, they can fasten up their ranking but once caught then you know the consequences which isn't really worth. Why would pay into something

which you can actually able to earn by just having some good response and contribution into the forum? Merit buyers are just those

people who doesn't really like to do hard work and do love things on easy ways.

I don't see any merit buying exist but somehow merit trading does  and its so stupid for a user to buy those merit since imagine how big the amount they need to pay but the earnings of each account is only few bucks from the campaigns if they aiming to rank up due to that matters. And also buying is more hassle than creating more quality content and we can spot a quality topics in the net and for that provably we can get a merit from our post.
3691  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/09/2020 on: September 20, 2020, 10:29:40 AM

I think this is a great improvement on the inflation side of things, there was too many tokens that are on the market that was sold that dropped the price the moment it hit the first exchange obviously, now it is not doing as well as it used to but the price actually managed to come to a place where people are willing to spend because there is dividends (and other ways to make money) so that means we found a perfect spot.

Now that the inflation (or getting brand new coins basically) dropping so hardly, the price will probably go up a lot, plus this could cause people to gamble even more to get more and sell more. At the end of the day I love the first two things but the third one doesn't sound great, it should be all public and not %5 saved for other stuff, if you want that, do it from your own portion.

Well it is something that we get to vote on how to use that. Which is great. Never seen another crypto project do that with their marketing funds.

The voting process have been on for some few days in the website already pinned to the telegram group chat. the results are yet to be concluded and announced. I think in the end, the power lies with the community to effect or reject the change to the token inflation restructure. I hold some bag of Earnbet tokens and I would love to see the price of the token improve in the long term. A $1 hit wouldn't be bad for my stack.

What is the current price of Earnbet tokens and if i need to purchase them from where i could get them ?

It is written on the the thread here.

Meanwhile, Mining City seems undeterred. A notice on its website states it will continue to operate even if its business, or website, were to be shut down by any government. It even claimed that the government cannot shut it down because it is decentralized and “free from any authority.”

Grabeng kakupalan talaga yan. We'll see if cases will be filed.

3694  Economy / Speculation / Re: If market crashes, BTC will crash twice as hard. on: September 18, 2020, 11:58:51 AM
But there is no certain reasons for Bitcoin to crash now as you are saying, maybe we can see the dump proportionally or less but its not going to crash hard since we already witnessed the fastest recovery of crypto market when the whole economy of the world crashed during pandemic.
It will not fall in price too much like it was before Pandemic or after its ATH, BTC is being used by many traders now as well many new investors were shifting here in cryptocurrency to do trading, alts prices were affected by BTC so when it decreases in value alts were affected too, but since there are still some hype in some projects that gets also attention for BTC, what is only happening in BTC price now is some correction from continuous increase of price last month but not because of crash as it already recovered from it when many countries lifted the quarantines.

So many the same post i read regarding on crash or something and I don't know if they are afraid for something worse to be happen or they are just riding the situation where the market is slightly dumping to buy and have a good entry. But I'm wondering if the lift out of lock down really help the bitcoins to pump since i think that this is the natural phenomena and I don't erase the fact that people still in hype since they think about something good to happen in the year of halving.

Crypto-Polis.com claim on their page that they have a partnership with Best Change but i did try to search through the exchanges available on your platform and did not find their name. They haven't responded to my query yet
Can you please try to confirm if the partnership they claim is real or fake? Otherwise, we might be looking at a scam exchange trying to deceive people.

They officially declare it on their site see the pic

Best to give a warning to your users so that they will not get confuse about those fake partnership made by cryptopolis. And provably they are using the bestexchange to gather attention, many users will at risk if the owner of that site turn scam.
3697  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 17, 2020, 10:03:31 PM
I do understand peoples need to gamble and gamble a lot because in gambling world you could honestly get super rich in a second if you are lucky, maybe a jackpot, maybe a lottery result, anything could make you richer beyond your dreams. However people also do not realize that it is not common, if everyone had a chance so huge, this place would have to pay billions every day, which we all know couldn't happen at all.

So, why not take a look at the fun side of things? Recently I got all my affiliate income and used them all in rolling, I kept at hi all the time and I wagered, used the regular martingale system and it was so fun and thrilling that I can't remember last time I had anything like that before, it was honestly one of the best entertainment I could get and it was quite cheap as well.

I also find gambling 'fun' but it can quickly go wrong. I used the martingate system in the past and thought that I would always be winning with this system, but oh no, I lost all my bankroll...
The problem is that you need to have discipline when gambling, otherwise you can end up loosing a big amount of money.

Martingale is a noobtrap.

The first few rounds are fun but when you find yourself wagering big numbers you start sweating and only to gain what... the initial dust you wagered. You can start martingaling with 1 sat on a x2 chance game and you'll have to wager 131k sats in your 18th round.

Even if you win at  the 18th round, you'll only be up 1 sat. Basically you'll be risking 131072 sats to take back your already lost 131071 sats and +1. This is beyond retarded.

The pro move is to set the win chance to 50% and wager whatever amount you are comfortable with losing in one swoop.

That's the reason I don't trust the martingale strategy since it cannot guarantee anything in the long run its just given just to make people think that there's a working strategy and they can use it for their plays. The more they think its working the more they feel comfortable and they can't notice that they actually end up losing at the end of the day. So basically for this we should not rely and let the luck strike on our bets.

there will be big british pound falling.
Next currenies wich will be gone for ever:
AUD,CAD,RUSSIAN RUBLES,UKRAINE CURRENY , NORWAY ,SWEDEN,
There will be few players left only CHINA AND EUR AND USD.
...and what is your point based on exactly?
Even if you have any "inside" information - you didn't mention any.
Neither I can see any official/non-official rumors or articles you linked.
No explanation - no point in discussion, its pure speculation

Provably he got that on this article or anything similar to this https://seekingalpha.com/article/4355986-british-pound-sterling-continue-to-fall-through-2020 but i don't believe they will fall easily since EU is a strong country maybe they suffer for economical problem but i believe they can survive on this mess.

and I don't easily believe on OP post since this is not new thing here.
3700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons to be learned from the rising digital currency market in 2017 on: September 16, 2020, 11:52:17 PM
2017 was the best year for cryptocurrency market and it taught people so many things. I hope especially that was a good lesson for panic sellers. People should learn acting more wisely when investing in a cryptocurrency.

That's a good lesson though sometimes we should avoid things for looking for more since ai believe many think about continuous pumping when quarter 4 until 2018 but suddenly a blood bath came I lost big amount for that incident that's why I learn to sold whenever I am in profit. Although 2017 is unforgettable moment in crypto space since by that year we see that bitcoin really got a big potential.
