3681  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 14, 2022, 12:26:20 PM
This is extremely concerning, but it is not new for us. Due to technological advancement, I'm aware that many teenagers and minors are engaging in this behavior, and I believe that even if they are too young to have a phone, their parents are still providing them with phones for their enjoyment, and parents will forget that this would be detrimental to their health (physically and mentally), and that they are also engaging in activities such as playing 18+ games that they should not be playing it. The supervision of parents is essential at this time, as is the control of phone usage. However, this is difficult to implement because teens today are more advanced it than  their parents', making it easier for them to conceal their actions. What is preferable is to have a heart-to-heart conversation with them and try to persuade them to stay away from this, while also explaining the consequences of doing so.
3682  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: April 14, 2022, 09:38:55 AM
This is exactly what I've been looking for since yesterday because I intend to register with another gambling website. I'm tired of checking each site's requirements one by one, and I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of requirements in a Google search. This list is also up to date and makes it simple to choose which websites to register with. However, I will try the website that does not require KYC just to get a feel for it. I am looking for new experiences in gambling websites because I am getting bored with my current gambling site because there is no new innovation I think because this website is running for a long time since 2016 I think.
3683  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: April 13, 2022, 05:01:47 PM

You are right, but mostly they will say that they have legal terms and say that they will not be sharing it with others. This is only for their own consumption, but still it manages to leak. This is really the problem now, but in order to signup and play on a gambling website, you really need to do KYC, and now I noticed that privacy is not that important to others since they don't care where they are sending their personal information. The only thing that we are like holding right now is really they terms and conditions about our data to make sure our information are safe
I never believed that they share our data and we start getting the ads dependent on our likes and interest. I noticed that real soon that I get the ads depended on likes and interest. For the moment I have deactivated my fb and insta accounts. To have some peace of mind.

Well you cannot really escape from the world of targeted advertising, no matter where you go in this world. Even in nature there are examples of advertisement. Or at least a kind of advertisement. A good smelling fruit is appealing to animals, animals eat the fruit, poop out the seeds. Their poop becomes the seedlings fertilizer. So obviously this is a good trade.

But as far as the human world goes: I think advertisement is also good but sometimes we overdo it. We go too far. We start annoying people.

Thats the worst part. The annoyance from bad advertising practices.

I agree that excess of everything is bad; a mature player would not like to go at the beginner level. But on the other hand a beginner level player would look for the experience rather than being worried about the ad – so every level has their priorities. Gambling sites should be able to set up their terms according to their players.

From the perspective of a beginner I think it would suit them better if they were to justifiably sign themselves up for a tutorial version of gambling, perhaps there even exists a gambling site with fake money that you can use to practice? I know from my days of trading futures, options and other derivitives how hard learning all the new stuff can be and how frustrating it can be to lose money due to not understanding how things work.

I think a testnet version of their gambling site would be just the right thing to get beginners acquainted with their platform.

I think this is a good idea to have its own testnet, like they could test and try to play the game without involving real money, which I think would be happy if this were done to other placements just to try and fee the game, but I think the rebut with this is that why play these games if you don't know it? Learn it first. There are a lot of third-party games that you can practice before going to this game, and also that casinos are giving signup bonuses or freebies for you to try the game with their free money to feel and learn it. I think the casino owner will think this is a one-sided thing because if they establish this, the customers will just try it and not be forced to deposit any money.
3684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Another New Rule On Gambling Adverts Ban Celebrities and Sports Stars on: April 13, 2022, 12:57:53 PM
This is a good rule in my opinion, sports stars should be a model for next generation and they should be look up as an inspiration for upcoming generation and if they saw them promoting gambling site youths would think that it could be good for them which would ruin their future. I would agree with charity advertisement, shoes, etc. but not gambling advertisements.

I agree, and this would have a big impact on the younger generation because, you know, when they see something popular, they tend to follow it. I don't know what is going on with the youth in this decade because they follow everything, unlike in my time when we just wanted it but didn't really follow it, and unlike today, they will beg their parents to try it. This is really good news in terms of gambling since it could reduce the underage interest in gambling and reduce addictions. I think this also has no big impact on the gambling industry because it only targets the under-18s.
3685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 13, 2022, 07:43:04 AM
There are numerous justifications for wagering such this big amount of money. The first thing that comes to mind is that he is being greedy? The second reason is that he believes he is extremely fortunate today and is confident that he will win, and the third reason is that he is in debt and wishes to recover all of the money that he borrowed to pay it. Well, this is the most obvious reason that came to mind, but I haven't seen a single bet that is as large as this one, and I don't pay much attention to other people's bets because I get jealous when they are betting more than I am and tempted to bet even more.
3686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you ever tried to live only on Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2022, 04:53:23 PM
That segment about taxes means that they are not the party responsible for reporting and paying taxes. The clients and users of their services are.

Those terms and conditions also state that Coins.ph can cancel, reverse, or refuse to do business with an individual if ordered so by the court or government agency. If they listen to the state in terms of who to do business with (and it's completely normal they will because no one is above the law), they will also cooperate if the government asks them about crypto users.

Their Privacy Policy says the following thing:

Quote
We may share your personal information with:
...
- Law enforcement, government officials, or other third-parties...

They also say that they can keep your private information for up to 5 years after you close your account.
Quote
We will retain your personal data throughout the subscription of our products and services, and for a maximum period of five (5) years after account closure...
Quote
However, if you close your account, your personal identifiable information will not be used by us for any further purposes, nor sold or shared with third-parties, except as necessary to prevent fraud, assist law enforcement, as required by law, or in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

More on that here > https://coins.ph/privacy/.

Thank you for taking the time to elaborate this. Reading their terms and conditions, as well as their privacy policies regarding the data that has been collected on users, is my first time to read and understand it I was simply using the platform at this time and was unaware of this. I am hoping that they will not do something like this or that it will not lead to something where they will give the data to the government because if this happens, I am pretty sure that the government will come after us .

I would be careful. I am not sure how reliable Coins.ph is as a service, but it seems that the majority in the Philippines are using it. Since you are paying bills with it, there is probably a requirement to undergo KYC. They store that data somewhere. If the local tax office decides to pressure Coins.ph to share with them the data of those who use crypto on their site, Coins.ph will have to comply. The government wants their share of the spoils and if the law is on their side, they will find a way to get it.

Wow, you are 100% right. I was shocked and thought about this for a minute. This would really be a problem for us if they enforced that tax on us. I'm only thinking about how they'd know we're into crypto, but our wallet alone could be enough to identify us.We have to go through KYC before we can use the wallet, so we don't have a choice.I am worried now about what will happen in the upcoming years since bitcoin is getting famous, but I am also scared to declare it to the agency. What ever happens, I will try to solve it in the future when I encounter it. There are still a lot of people to check, so it will take a lot of time on this and I am pretty sure they will after to people that has huge amount earnings in crypto because you know they want they share of spoil as you stated  Cheesy

Also, I read the terms and conditions of the coins, which state that it is our responsibility and not theirs to collect, report and remit our tax, meaning they are out of it when the government decides to push this law about taxing cryptocurrency.

Code:
2.5 Taxes. It is your responsibility to determine what, if any, taxes apply to the payments you make or receive, and it is your responsibility to collect, report and remit the correct tax to the appropriate tax authority. Coins.ph is not responsible for determining whether taxes apply to your transaction, or for collecting, reporting or remitting any taxes arising from any transaction.

Coins.ph Terms and Condition : 2.5 Taxes

Nice explanations, thanks for that. Judging by the Coins.ph site that keeps popping up in your reply, I can safely assume you are from the Philippines. What about taxes? Each of those transactions and conversions from crypto to fiat would be creating taxable events. What does the law in the Philippines say about that?

Yes, I am from the Philippines, which has many beautiful beaches but also has the worst traffic. Lol. With regards to the tax, I could probably say that the tax when it comes to cryptocurrency is not that strict here. As long as you haven't declared it to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (this is an agency of the government where you need to declare your assets), they will not know. I don't know how to really explain this, but we are like evading this because recently BIR announced that people who are earning money from online like Bitcoin or NFT games should pay tax. They just need to go to their office and declare this, which has caused a lot of debates here because with regards to paying taxes, it depends on how much you earn, and crypto and NFT are very volatile, so your income is also not stable, which the agency hasn't answered. Based on what I observed, I haven't seen anyone that is paying taxes or declaring that they are earning from crypto as far as I know.

With regards to the conversion from crypto to fiat, there are no hidden fees that you will pay and the details are just pure fee transactions. They usually charge you when you cash it out of your wallet to banks or third-party services to get your money. The only time we are involved with the tax is when we are buying things like food, because the VAT is already included in the price of the item you purchase.

I am also curious in your country if we are in the same situation in tax or if you have a strict law implementation in your country about paying tax that involves bitcoin.
3689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you ever tried to live only on Bitcoin? on: April 11, 2022, 06:02:18 PM

With this thread, I would like to know how many users of Bitcointalk have tried something similar, or are maybe living only on crypto as we speak? Has anyone tried it for a day, a week, or just a few hours?

Please share your experience, and if possible, include the names and locations of shops, websites, and services that made your BTC spending easier and more comfortable. How easy or hard is it to live only on Bitcoin in your city/country?

I got curious about this and did some research on a couple of sites to make this possible in our country. Well, I think I can live with using bitcoin for a few months because I can buy food using a wallet here in the country (I will elaborate below) and also top up a card for my transportation to go to work, but I can't go far with this. With regards to rent, I am not renting a house since I own one, so no problem. With the bill, I can use the same wallet to pay bills and also top-up my phone.

Coins.ph for Food - I can use this to buy food since there are supported food stores on this wallet, which is a scan to pay, so I just scan it using the wallet and pay my food.
Coins.ph for Bills - I can still use this to pay my electric, water, and internet bills. I can also top up my mobile with this wallet.
Beep Card top up by Coins.ph - This is a card for transportation, which I mainly used to go to work, so I can still use this to pay for my transportation, which I top up using bitcoin.

In food this is really expensive since you cant choose low prices foods on the store that accepts bitcoin so I really need a lot of bitcoin but to others like bills and transport it is still usual expenses.

But there are other wallets like Gcash and Paymaya that will start integrating crypto into their systems with which anything is possible to live with only using bitcoin because Gcash is widely used in stores to accept payments, so if this was integrated, I am pretty sure that I could live as long as I want because even small stores accept this kind of method, even taxis or food delivery services.

It isn't difficult now to spend your bitcoins or live with only using bitcoin now because we can now see a lot of stores accepting it, unlike a few years ago when most people said that bitcoin was a scam and people didn't know what it was. But now, as you can see, a lot of people want to get into bitcoin, and because of COVID, I saw a lot of people doing research on it and getting curious about what bitcoin really is.
3690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: April 11, 2022, 01:35:41 PM
  • Using other people's market signal to trade- doing this saves you alot of time and also makes trading very easy -, but remember, "good things don't come easy, if it does, then it comes a child's play", learn to do your own research, analyze the market, technical and fundamental analysis, learn everything you need to be your own boss in your crypto trading.

Lol, this is really me at first when I entered trading. At first, I think signals can make you profit since when I tried this (joined groups in telegram and also group chats in social media), it was going well at first, but imagine someone just giving you a signal when to trade and I am thinking this like if someone will tell you to eat a poop you will eat it because you want a shortcut to gain money. This is really dumb  because in the long run that you they will ask you to pay them to continue on their market signal business and you are finished this time when you are not paying money . So it is the best to learn on this.

I think this should be added also
  • Getting greedy: we know that we are emotional when losing. Someone tends to try to win back all the losses which lead to trade over your capacity and loses more again. We should learn control our emotions. If we get emotional because of the losses, walk outside. That is the most common word you will hear when a trader loses a big trade.
  • and without a concrete strategy - This is most of the newbies' problems because they trade without a proper strategy. You should list first your target profit or where you cut your losses, or when you take this trade (there should be 3 or more indicators showing to take this trade), watch the news, and many more.
3691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I invest money? on: April 09, 2022, 11:40:33 AM
If you want to avoid any kind of risk then you can staking in the best currency. It is definitely a long time interval and if you want to make profits in a short time you need to be proficient in trading. Otherways you can choice btc, eth, bnb many top currency for your investigators. However i think the best should always be the idea itself.

In trading, you must allot a time to learn because you can enter into trading without any prior knowledge. Staking is good when you stake into good coins that have a good roadmap and the devs keep updating the investors, but make sure that you are aware of the news so that you can react anytime. In trading, you still need to learn it for almost 6 months to master the basics and start making your own strategy to win, so you really need a lot of time, but there are no short cuts to earning money, so be patient with it.
3692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 09, 2022, 10:13:54 AM
They need someone to really teach the athletes to learn the benefits of BTC or just give them the option to receive stabecoin instead. Otherwise the athletes will blame crypto.com if the value of the BTC goes down. Having the stablecoin, they will still have the chance to trade it to BTC when they change their minds. I believe the crypto.com will pay them thru the crypto.com app, right?
I think athletes are not stupid, they must know the volatility of bitcoin price...

I support crypto.com's bold move because it will encourage stronger adoption, UFC is one of the most popular sports, by giving bonuses in the form of bitcoins to athletes, it can help them also invest in Bitcoin.

Yes, they are not stupid, and I am confident that they will become more interested in it as time goes on, which will lead to them adopting more bitcoin. I know it was announced to them earlier, and I am sure that they already have a basic understanding of it, its volatility, and how to exchange it. This is a fantastic step forward, and I believe that other sports will follow it and begin rewarding their athletes with bitcoin. This is a fantastic innovation in sports, and it will allow them to make more money as a result of it. Their compensation is rather plain, but when cryptocurrency is involved, I believe it becomes more interesting.
3693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone forgot April 5th...? on: April 08, 2022, 06:11:04 PM
This is what's good for him, he can pick any date for his birthday since it's just the life he got virtually/online. But anyway, whether it is his birthday or not.
We surely want to wish him all the best for what he did to all of us. A very life changing project that has made many of us happy and an opportunity that comes once in a life time.

I agree with this, and if we can do so on a daily basis to express our gratitude to him, we will do so. I believe they also forgot about it because the date is not based on the fact that it is the real birthday because, as you know, Satoshi's identity is still a mystery, so we can't confirm this, but whether it is real or not, let us give thanks to him for giving us the opportunity to earn from it because bitcoin has had a significant impact on our lives, both financially.
3694  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 08, 2022, 01:08:33 PM
Which would be better for gambling casinos or sports games?
I've seen both but sports seem a lot easier to me and casinos are hard for me.
  • What do I need to know to play casino?
  • Which is a more profitable casino or sports game?
  • And Which Platform should take as a newbie gambler, casino or sports?

To be honest, I believe the majority of the comments here are intended to convince you to learn the casino game; this is my personal opinion. To begin, why would you want to switch from a sports game to a casino? Is it to gain experience? or sports gambling takes an inordinate amount of time to win money? I would say that for new experience, you simply need to find a video explaining the game's mechanics and you're good to go, but if you truly want to earn this, I believe it will be a lengthy process.

I'd say that if I were you, I'd stick to sports gambling because it's profitable for me. As someone else's sayings that still applies to this scenario, why would I replace my phone if it is still functional? You can still make phone calls, send text messages, and even browse the internet? That is my personal perception. Why would you change from sports betting to casino if you are earning from sports betting right?
3695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin traders are denied bank accounts globally by the banks- Satoshi Nakamoto on: April 08, 2022, 07:36:22 AM
Many Bitcoin traders are finding difficulties opening  bank account in their own countries. It is a big problem and it need to be discussed to find a solution.

The Bitcoin traders need banking service from the banking industry without discrimination. If the fiat banks continuously deny the Bitcoin traders bank account then I must have a solution, so all the Bitcoin traders can accelerate the Bitcoinu businesses to progress rapidly.

The solution to this problem is 'we' need to setup a bank, let's discuss and support me, I on the way to set up a Commercial Crypto Bank.

Does bitcoin community globally need a bank ?

Moses Goldman aka
Satoshi Nakamoto

I agree with him that it is really difficult to set up a bank account once you have just stated that you are involved with crypto. A lot of friends of mine keep getting their bank accounts frozen because of the violation of terms by which they are struggling to open an account. We really should have a bank that accepts these kinds of activities, but I am pretty sure that if a country legalized bitcoin, banks will not be a problem, but for countries that are still in the middle, I believe it would be difficult to have a bank that accepts these kinds of activities because the government will not allow it.

I have finally sign up to Gamdom.com. the issue or the problem i was facing has been resolved. It was not network problem but the inferiority of the phone I am using. It is the phone I am using can not opened the site, although the network is also very weak in the location. I borrowed a Friend higher phone to registered the Gamdom site and it works well, so I am planning to change phone by the end of this year.  I have checked most of the sites you send to me as well. I really appreciate for your help and love toward me in this board. I really feel belonging.

For the network, Gamdom still work with strong network. And also not all Android phones can open the site. There are some gambling sites that can be easily open without stress. Freebitcoin is one of the sites that can be open with weak internet connection.

This is also one of the problems, butthink the problem with the OP's internet connection is that his internet provider has banned the website since it is illegal for them, so he ca access it. Usually, if you access the website with slow internet, it will load but the design is distorted, meaning it is working but on his end he ca access it, so it should be a DNS issue and it can only be resolved by changing your ISP or trying it using mobile data if you can access it.

3698  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy is important for a family! on: April 07, 2022, 11:34:52 AM
Crypto education is optional education (not mandatory) that we can give to our children, but there is nothing wrong with giving crypto education to our children because then it can make our children's knowledge wider. but of course basic education such as reading, counting, and respecting others is the main education that we must give to our children because without basic education all knowledge that he has will be in vain.
Agree, children are the most precious treasure that God has entrusted to us. Give knowledge and guide him to be ready for bigger challenges when he grows up. Children must be independent, able to take care of themselves, excel and understand everything we teach. Children are like a hammer in a toolbox, if they are only stored (never used), they will only become a burden in the toolbox. But if we provide knowledge that can improve the quality of children's understanding, then our lives will feel light and easy because it can provide a balance in the family economy.
It would totally depending on what kind of father or parents you would be because not all would really be minding about this particular manner but instead they would just really be living into something where they arent

that molding their children to be that independent or be knowledgeable for certain things which they would really be needing for their lives or in the future on the time that we arent already on this world.

Making themselves at least prepared on what would tomorrow would be not only on financial state but also in other aspects as well.

Strong, healthy families are required to promote optimal and holistic child and youth development, which contributes to economic development. Children learn first in their families that they, like all humans, have intrinsic value and dignity. Children value the importance of developing relationships with others in families where the mother and father foster healthy and committed relationships with each other and with their children. Children who have a strong sense of self-worth and respect for others are more likely to grow up to be adults who support themselves through decent, collaborative, and productive work. Furthermore, having both the father's and mother's economic, social, emotional, spiritual, and moral support, children from strong healthy families have better educational outcomes as well as economic and social outcomes.

And then again there are hackers always looking for loopholes and finding way to intrude into the privacy and security of the company as well as the customer. Which is a security breach both for the gambling owners as well as for the players. What are the precautionary measures gamblers take while putting up their private info on the gambling sites?
Once a gambler submits their personal information on a gambling site or other site, then it will be the responsibility of that site. The security of personal data is no longer the gambler's responsibility but of the website.

Gamblers as users need to know which sites are responsible and can safeguard their members' personal information and ensure that the information is safe. Users should also be careful about submitting personal information to a site and only trust sites that can take good care of it.
Last night I was watching a video and in that video - Senator asked Mark Zuckerberg would he like to tell in which hotel he stayed last night and who he called during last week - upon which MZ said he don't want to share his private affair with public. On this senator said why then private info of the fb user.  I am not sure info once made public remains private anyways!

You are right, but mostly they will say that they have legal terms and say that they will not be sharing it with others. This is only for their own consumption, but still it manages to leak. They ask me to invest $100 and after 24 hours you win $2000

I took a picture of the conversation but I can't download the picture here

First of all, this is really fishy. Who in their right mind is going to give you $2000 for $100?It is really a 101% scam. This is what they say: passive income, for which you are not doing anything. No matter what your conversation with that guy is, I am really sure that he/she will scam you. It is still your choice, but I know a lot of people will post here that it is a scam.  I think this should be moved to another board since it isn't about trading at all
