3681  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk-takers always ahead financially on: February 19, 2021, 07:15:08 AM
They said risk-takers are money makers, the people who always end up on top. I think most of them, but not all of them.
What you see is known as "Survivorship Bias" - I can guarantee you that the people who come at the top at the people who work hard and are determined to reach their goals. This is completely different from risk taking, most risk takers get burnt out and what you see are the few who survived.

Quote
Be as it may, we need to learn and gain enough knowledge about particular things that will help our money grow.
There is a subtle difference in the narrative here. OP is referring to the crypto sector where risk taking is a common practice, but in real life not all people are doing that. Most people are working to get a stable paying job and that should be the target for every other user in this forum too, leaving aside personal choice.

If you ask me, financially the hard working people are the ones whom I respect more. Risk taking is fine, but that wont keep you alive for long to survive that you can grow your money to a huge amount, only a few people have actually done that. Moreover what you see from your side is not always correct. Many stock traders and poker players actually have a lot of other investments and attachments to less risky sectors which allow a stable cash flow.
3682  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutions hedging? on: February 19, 2021, 07:06:20 AM
Huge corporations that invest in crypto are seemed did it to show everyone that they believe in crypto and are ready to use it. Moreover their deeds made crypto more popular and intrigued a lot of newbies that started actively to buy crypto on “high” to jump onto the last carriage of the departing train.
It is called pure FOMO. This growth is inorganic like I said in previous post and not going to sustain for long. Dont get me wrong, I am bitcoin bull but this type of stupid bullishness is not my thing, I am rather disappointed by the amount of FOMO currently in the market and although happy that Bitcoin crossed 51k USD with this, it wont hold for long.

Companies like these use Bitcoin as a soft target for manipulation - even if they did say that they bought bitcoin, they will not tell you when they sell it - heck if they did how will they make the profit which is their intention from the first place. They see the untapped potential in such niche groups and therefore redpill them into going the way they want, sadly.

Yes these companies are hedging, moving to new asset classes that have shown resilience and growth in the last decade and therefore common crypto users need to be aware of the manipulation that is going to follow.
3683  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Blockchain developer for ICO project on: February 19, 2021, 06:59:43 AM
smartcontract developer, solidity, nft creation be plus++
Without a proper description of what the job demands and the budget for developers you are less likely to see competent members contact you at all.

Moreover this forum has a PM system that can be used to discuss just like a freelancing site does. Telegram is an IM service, not a place to discuss jobs considering the amount of freedom that it gives a scammer and also because its chats cannot be used as evidence in a scam accusation of this forum.

This type of threads only make you look bad due the lack of professionalism.

Expecting a sassy reply "Those who are not developers dont reply here" Roll Eyes
3684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't stay on with a wrong trade on: February 19, 2021, 06:50:21 AM
Once traded in the wrong direction it is done forever and there is no going back. Using a stop loss might have prevented that but once the event has occurred you cant reverse it.

Accepting the loss and moving on from it is the best and most mature way to tackling such a case. Those in hindsight having done a better work at researching the trend might have reduced the impact.

Bad case you end up with a shitcoin that is not going up - just sell it at any point and accept the loss. But the worst case is in margin trading where you get liquidated and lose your position.
3685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rich people causes cryptocurrency ban on: February 18, 2021, 09:15:15 AM
The fact that they would most definitely take a hit in terms of taxes getting collected alone would heavily incentivize them to enforce a ban.
Bitcoin transactions getting taxed or not becomes the point of debate there. Without tax many government services cannot be offered for free because the taxpayer's money is used to fund different government projects, development and services. Therefore fiat will be there even if bitcoin gets accepted or a system for paying taxes in bitcoin needs to be developed.

The common notion is that ruling class always imposes stuff on the lower strata. This is not always correct, the educated people need to make a proper analysis before making such a statement otherwise what is the use of logic?

Still some countries will be against having bitcoin getting accepted - this will effect them and put their country's technological development 10years back, which I hope does not happen.

Would also like to remind the OP about a plot twist : the rich people already own bitcoin, more than what this forum users can amass.  Roll Eyes
3686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how do they know? on: February 18, 2021, 09:02:58 AM
Lets hope the author does not see this thread and the criticism others have posted. But this is very common among these crypto news media websites which is why I never read their topics in detail without accepting the grain of salt.

Bullish or bearish, they are posting what they feel technical is showing them. You might have a different opinion. Personally I think to cross 55k USD bitcoin needs much more support and a bearish drop is imminent but I might be proven wrong.

For example when DOGE was rising I predicted the price to stop at 0.075USD and ordered accordingly but it crossed 0.08 but then dropped back to 0.07 and is now at 0.053 - Therefore my selling point was close to perfect. But the news media was pumping doge like crazy - I would have missed that opportunity to dump my doge stash if I didnt take that action.

Never listen to these unregulated opinionated news articles without doing your own research. You will end up like any other no-coiner.
3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters , need your suggestion. on: February 18, 2021, 08:57:11 AM
Guys, is there any good bounty right now to try out?
Chance of finding such a bounty is less than 0.001%. So the straight answer is a "No".

Quote
I actually stopped participating in bounties for more than a year because all were just time waste.
You took the correct decision.

Quote
What do you guys think ? So please suggest if there is any good bounty to try out.
I assume you are looking for methods to earn crypto. I would not suggest bounties because of the reason that almost every altcoin being started is going to be a failure and none are going to be second to bitcoin. The better way to earn some bitcoin is join a signature campaign after having improved on post quality.

By doing this you can actually develop a good hobby, get paid to do that and also learn more about crypto and develop your own skills of teaching others about crypto.
3688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation of price will decrease soon? on: February 17, 2021, 06:36:42 AM
Truth is the manipulation will continue to be a part of crypto currency trading; if the manipulation did not end in a bear market; it definitely will not end in a bull market.
Manipulation exists in all sorts of speculative assets otherwise the market would not move. The point is that those who are trading for long have understood how this system works. If you basic knowledge and understanding of a project and its use cases is good you should be able to decide whether you can keep it for long term or short term.

Once you have the faith in that asset, like bitcoin you can get the drive to buy it when the market falls = avoid FUD and sell at the pump = profit the FOMO but not buy it.

Therefore practice to understand the market emotions and how you can use them. Remember that whales only start the manipulation but it is driven by smaller fries and then whales feed on that.
3689  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Indymoney - loan default on: February 17, 2021, 06:28:11 AM
@Indymoney

I can understand that the pandemic has not been easy on many people. But you have to think that the lender has been kind enough to provide you with money in terms of need. It is your duty to pay back what you own others, not doing so is a serious consequence. You have been a member of this forum long enough to know that loan defaulters are not shown any leniency because what they did was steal money.

But you can still make things right and pay up what you owe @Royse777 and get back whatever reputation you have with this account with time (of course not completely). You can understand that amount that was loaned to you is a huge value in USD for a person who was generous, this might be money that they need back in time.

That is how the system works. Lenders are kind enough to give loans to those who need it and borrowers have been punctual enough to pay up what they owe. Otherwise it will be members like you who will lead to the downfall of p2p lending in this forum.

Flag supported and negative trust left - both will be modified in case the accused pays back in full or in an amount that is satisfactory to the lender.
3690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help getting back into mining on: February 17, 2021, 06:18:13 AM
Currently I do not recommend mining. Ok eth etc. Cryptocurrencies like the rising can leave good profits But now even more money can be made from mining through trading. Apart from that, there were serious price increases in ram and various materials. So I definitely don't recommend it.
There are a lot of reasons that can be said in for and against crypto mining. Point is that bitcoin mining is no longer profitable for a small-number rig owner. For that you will need big farms of ASICs. For altcoin mining though there might be slight chance of getting a profit or ending up in a never ending cycle of failed ROI therefor being a vaporware ponzi. To be honest many altcoins in the past have been like this.

Still the hardware for altcoin mining depending on what you are mining and its liquidity on the market you may be able to profit. But getting all these factors in the green is a tough thing to do.
3691  Economy / Reputation / Re: @M0neygrabb3r Old loan defaulter of mine. Need DT's help. on: February 17, 2021, 06:14:21 AM
you can’t compare me to a scammer.
Nobody is comparing you to a scammer. Your account has been part of a sold account circle in my assumption to which these previous accounts are connected.

Two different accounts posting the same address means only one thing. They belong to the same person. This world is not so kind that someone else is going to do bounty work to pay the money to your account, here everyone earns for their own. Besides both the links were found on signature campaign/bounty campaign applications hence it is also less likely that you were trading coins among yourselves.

This is pretty much a solid proof that you are belonging to same group which has been discussed here. If you have any other evidence supporting a rebuttal do provide the same. For now the flag remains.
3692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run: will it end in May? on: February 15, 2021, 11:55:30 AM
No one actually knows about it , only crypto whales are the one who can dump it any time , if they want to pump they will till the end of 2021 , if they want to dump they can dump it anytime.
Whales usually dump after the pump, the rest of the market movement is a residual attempt to profit by smaller fishes. Whales would never be the ones who initiate a pump themselves. They manipulate the market to meet their demands. Like Musk trying to raise the DOGE and BTC prices like anything is an example of mainstream manipulation.

Most investors are waiting for the market to turn around and they will have the opportunity to buy coins at a lower price. And most of these investors sold their BTC too early, because they did not believe in such a growth of bitcoin and now they have to wait for this bull run to end.
Many newbies are also getting FOMOed in. This is bad and I expect a lot of "I bought bitcoin at high price" - type of statements coming to this forum after a couple of months.

Because what has gone up has to come down but newbies fail to sell before it drops.
3693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much would you say one could realistically make a month trading? on: February 15, 2021, 11:51:27 AM
So far from the experience I have experienced, if you want to apply monthly trading, you must be able to pay attention to the capital money and coins you buy because the profits you get every month depend on the capital you use and of course the coins you buy must be considered, if a few months then you buy Dogecoin so you can get a lot of profit and when using a lot of capital you can become rich instantly.
Why doge amigo? Because it got pumped up by Musk? I would not suggest such an altcoin to be bought for a newbie.

The FOMO with DOGE is pretty clear now. Although the DOGE price tanked a bit, people might still be willing to buy it. Nevertheless, instead of getting a profit, they might be at a loss already if they are caught in the middle of selling it and holding it. DOGE does not have any technological development of its own so it lack the possibility of growth.

I would say MrMusk made a fool of the crypto people by selling it on their heads after pumping it. Grin The only thing one can suggest is bitcoin but of course not at this price.
3694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help getting back into mining on: February 15, 2021, 11:43:07 AM
What would you recommend for a ready to run rig around 10k budget?
I think you are over-estimating your possible profits here. The market trend is currently bullish and that is why the mining of altcoins might show a good ROI, but as we all know these trends will change because the celebs who are promoting crypto on social media will stop at one point and market will become bearish.

Keep in mind that altcoins always have been a source of anxiety and depression among the crypto community because of lack of profit on selling or rising prices. They follow bitcoin whenever the prices go up but if you cant sell within that time you will be at a loss.

I dont want to discourage you from this, seeing is believing and hence in case you lose money you will be taught a better lesson. But I would not want you to lose 10k of course.

Possibly think about buying those coins instead than mining them?
3695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO investment criteria and advices on: February 15, 2021, 05:53:53 AM
I think IEO good but many scam IEO before although listed on Binance exchange or bigger exchange, I think worth investing on launchpad only without have any risk with get back our money just depend when price up or not, but allocation for launchpad is not much although you hold and stake much money on Binance exchange market but its not too risk.
The only difference between an ICO and IEO is that the IEO is already listed on the exchange. You have to understand the background of why this move was made and why they thought it would work.

See previously when a ICO was tokensold, the excahnges would ask for huge fees for listing that - as a result the team had to cut down costs, listen to the constant bickering of social media channels on lack of exchanges. They would go for shitty and shady exchanges just to keep the majority happy.

IEO took that away and seemed to be a selling point. But basic problem of ICO is still here. Majority being vaporware and scams.
3696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Near success syndrome in trading. on: February 15, 2021, 05:49:41 AM
Did you coin this phrase on your own?

Of course it has happened to many people. Getting stuck in the euphoria cycle is common specially the new entrants. The wise people will sell before the highest point is touched because they know that waiting for that top means a hurry in trade and possible exchange lagging, transaction fees being huge and all.

Altcoins specially suffer from these types of pumps followed by dumps.

But you are selling just before the top is reached you are still making a good profit. The important thing is to recycle the money after selling.
3697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Missed out on bitcoin, please make me a plan now on: February 15, 2021, 05:46:31 AM
20k - 25k is a big sum of money. Of course you are late in the game and you will end up with a loss if you buy bitcoin or any altcoin at this price trend. The market recently pumped and you are not the only one to get attracted to it right at this time. Nobody cares about bitcoin when it dumps and become bearish - do they?

Putting that aside, you have to first learn to see buying points, right now like I said is a bad time to buy bitcoin because the pump is in my opinion an inorganic one and will drop very soon. Either way choosing a buying level right now is a tough thing to do. I would go with the <30k USD price range to buy but even that is pretty high comparing to what we saw in the last 2-3years. The best way to determine this is to wait for the bull market to reverse.

Important thing is patience. Newbie traders get burnt out because of their enthusiasm, hence dont get too cocky on things.
3698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: www.defigroups.com ??????? on: February 15, 2021, 05:40:44 AM
Do the math, if the scheme offers 10% per month then in 1year the person investing there has doubled their money. This is theoretically not possible comparing to what the banks deposits interest can offer. Hence the more likely possibility here is that the site is being used for a scam.

The pictures used in the EthereumWhite project were stock images and therefore a scam itself. This should be clear to you already. Hence my suggestion would be to advice any known contact of yours to not invest in the above site or its schemes.

Whoever they are targeting, does not matter. Fact is that they are scamming others. Fake images, fake addresses - only a scam runs like that.
3699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins/BTC pairs? If yes, under which conditions? on: February 14, 2021, 06:33:07 AM
Currently I have sold DOGE due to the bullrun but I did that against USDT - the reason being very simple: If I were to sell DOGE for BTC, the amount of BTC I would get back would be much less compared to what can get if I use the same USDT to buy BTC when BTC drops. This recycling is important and since I am bullish on BTC, it makes sense to me to accumulate more BTC.

USDT is only an intermediary here, no hopes of holding on to it.

Now coming to your queries, I personally feel using the stablecoin intermediary is a good option to maximize the possible profit. It does include the risk of losing out in case Tether breaks down which many people ponder on. That is one risk that you have to take.

This liquidity issue with Altcoin<>BTC takes place during a bull/bear run only.
3700  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cheapest on: February 14, 2021, 06:23:04 AM
What is the website where we can buy bitcoins and cryptocurrencies at the LOWEST PRICES using credit/debit cards?
I would suggest you to not make such generic topics and do some ground work and basic research when these questions usually come to the mind.

The above posts have highlighted some good ones among them. Make sure to use the one that allows citizens from the country where you reside or talk to the local community users first.

Now coming back to "price" - are you referring to transaction fees taken by the credit card company or the price of the cryptocurrency? Every exchange out there has some pros and cons. Now exchanges that accept credit/debit cards are going to have a significant fee for the payment processing. Also crypto price changes with time and therefore buying bitcoin would mean first you would to choose a price that you wish to buy because the fiat spent is fixed but the amount of bitcoin bought varies.
