I had Benfica ML, so it went well for my multi but I must admit I was quite scared for my bet in first half between the goals from Benfica, Kiev had some excellent chances, few were saved by the keeper and few passed very close to posts. Should have scored at least one goal.

So many pools this season, really curious how much I'll manage to get from them. I believe excel sheet is needed this time around to track all of them + all the free bets we can get.

Ah, so Kiev were a bit unlucky huh. Seems like a good bet again away if they play the same? Odds should be even higher and they have to score 2 goals so BTTS anyway is something good for that tie next week.

Based on my performance right now, in prize spots for 2 pools but not the one I'd like to be in (EPL heh heh), but way too early to judge anything... I think you're right about needing to track, although I foresee myself getting incredibly busy this season I may have to "abandon" some of the pools along the way (which is really bad as I hate throwing away like that).

@logfiles welcome and glad someone convinced you! How did you miss pools, you been away? Wink
3682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Simple information in Bitcoin on: August 19, 2022, 02:55:51 PM
Cool that you think and do the way you do, less cool you're confident anyone buying now will see "big profit very soon". We're barely a year out from ATH, and next ATHs don't tend to come along so soon after the previous. I know, I know, past history nothing to do with future performance, but given the present conditions all around the world, would take something beyond optimism to expect "big profit very soon".

It... isn't that simple.

What is simple? Bitcoin a good buy for the long term.
3683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betnomi.com ⚽️ Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion (Prize Fund 0.3 BTC) on: August 19, 2022, 01:57:52 PM
^ Nope, you weren't alone. I put a small bet against Benfica myself... that didn't turn out well. Was really expecting Kyiv to at least score but I suppose I overestimated their patriotism (if that's what I can call it). On a semi-related note, was also surprised to learn Zivchenko had switched teams...

Anyway. Just a daily reminder to please spread the word on this pool, and that there are 2 free slots to claim, for anyone who can't make the payment on time!
3684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: August 19, 2022, 12:09:53 PM
Almost back to normal service here, just need recovery but hope to watch my first few matches this weekend... seems like I missed some amazing football from Betis, amazing skill to kill the ball landing from so high with sneakers (hint: it wasn't even from a player haha).

How's everyone doing? And don't look at the pool table, still way too soon haha!
3685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: August 19, 2022, 10:55:15 AM
Won't lie, will be feeling not-so-mild panic. But I've held on when BTC dropped below $4k and I do remember feeling pretty panicky, but that didn't last long. Of course, that was "only" a 80% dip from ATH... would be a different feeling holding at $1k after seeing $67k!

That said, I'd be really confident of a terrific bounce up if we do touch 1000!
3686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Somewhere in Nigeria, Bitcoin's touching lives on: August 19, 2022, 10:34:09 AM
The Water Project has, indeed, received a lot of Bitcoin support (donations). First came across it when interviewing the Pineapple Fund back in 2017, the anon founder donated $1 million (65+ BTC at the time) -- will have to refer to Water Project themselves to see which exact fund made that particular water pump installation.

Nice to see it still has support 5 years down the line =)

^ I'd definitely have put something up on this as you say but couldn't find a single line for the match, nor any other I just checked on the only bookie I can access now (Fairlay) so I guess tonight will be another "sit on my ass and do nothing night".

I'd def have put something against 3meek's picks too!
3691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you use Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2022, 03:07:12 PM
For the past month, not once except for p2p selling, which I do about twice a month. Travelling back to the South reminds me you can pay for things with so many more things (all kinds of digital cash) but unfortunately, not much options for Bitcoin. In fact, only passed by one cafe accepting BTC and it was a tourist trap cafe.

Back where I reside, at least once a week for food. Also when travelling alone, airfare and hotel if possible.

Seems to me it has not really gotten easier or more diverse to use Bitcoin since I first did about 5/6 years ago.

Could just be my spending habits but I really do my best.

Gambling deposits count? If so, add in one or two a week on average during sports season.
3692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 4/08/22 on: August 18, 2022, 02:03:09 PM
Not able to do bets today easily, annoying as some games seem ripe to put silly money on... Sheriff has been underwhelming I would say, after last season's heroics...

Anyone want to line up the 5/1 and above pickings so I can do blind magic? Haha
3693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now acceptable for Payment in Maldives Resort on: August 17, 2022, 03:40:26 PM
10 years ago any of the remote Maldives islands still had laughable, expensive dialup. Be surprised if things have changed since these private owned resorts actually don't have a demand for even basic internet. Holidaying people.

This is my way of explaining what Lucius asked... Because those islands are private, Maldivian law is absentia there. E.g. they sell pork and alcohol on those islands but it is criminalised on the non private islands.

That was what I learnt there anyway.

Definitely sense a use case for holiday goers who probably might be watched... Missing super yachts anyone?
3694  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 17, 2022, 11:47:20 AM
Put Salah or Diaz in on next match if Liverpool-United feature (will be a shame if it doesn't)... unless United decide to tank up in front of goal, should be a fest.
I am waiting to see the list of injured players before making my predictions for next round, but yeah Salah should score his second goal in this season.
Just checking all goal scorers for this season and Rodrigo from Leeds is on top with three goals so far, with several players scoring two goals like Jesus from Arsenal, Haaland from City, and Mitrovic from Fulham is among them.
My main pick is for Jesus t oscore again against Bournemouth, if he is included in the squad.

If I get my picks in before matches start, I'm sticking with Saka instead of Jesus -- he's got to be breaking his duck no? But I don't even know the lineups, really, was surprised to learn my own team had so many injuries ahead of the Palace game, I've got a LOT of catching up to do with EPL.

Mitrovic... I don't know. Maybe he proves me wrong and comes into his own. Sterling though is hitting the age where he should be peaking... but I doubt he's really improved his finishing.
3695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: August 17, 2022, 10:31:41 AM
3 remaining qualifying games will be played today. Qarabag - Plzen, Dynamo Kyiv - Benfica and Maccabi Haifa - Crvena Zvezda. Probably it makes most sense to back Benfica, they're quite significant favorites there. In Maccabi - Crvena zvezda game I'll go with BTTS or over 2.5. And have no idea about Qarabag - Plzen game.

I went against Benfica actually, thought there was a bit of home value for Kyiv (and I hope they'll be playing with extra bit of pride with all the goings on, a slim win shouldn't be impossible) at just over 5/1. Nothing fancy, just everything on the line for the home team.

Too much room for draws today too, so no accas for me sir.
3696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 17, 2022, 06:23:58 AM
If Man Utd beat Liverpool next math I will make a personal donation to one of the United charities. Am sure a Red Devil in the pool can help me locate one...

Because whatever the problems we have, even if we were playing backups, teens and veterans, Elliott and Milner have got to be miles better than anyone in a United shirt now.

So yeah, I rarely put out silly ultimatums but we have to not lose to United. Many unthinkable things but I couldn't stomach that. The first Liverpool match of the season I can watch live cannot end that way... -D
3697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s longest-serving Lead Maintainer calls it quits, names no successor on: August 17, 2022, 04:41:30 AM
The fact that something like this could happen without causing any worry at all among regular and not-so-regular users reminds us why Bitcoin's not some mega project that'll go under when its creator disappears. satoshi's disappearance cleared that up.

(though really, when Dogecoin's devs left, the coin didn't die either, so really, we're fine)
3698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betnomi.com ⚽️ Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion (Prize Fund 0.3 BTC) on: August 17, 2022, 03:28:32 AM
In this sense, now even Liverpool's prospects in the Champions League do not look as bright as before, what do you say?
I can't wait to see the results of the draw, although it's unlikely that we'll see even one group of death where the favorites will have problems with each other.

Ha, tables don't lie, but the games played are too few, and United deserved to lose -- Liverpool could have nicked wins in both, so I'm not too worried. If we're playing like this without a full squad, and in game 2 without a full team, we'll be fine over the course of the season.

No impact on Liverpool's chances I'd say, they're still favourites in Pot 1, the odds adjustment after group stage will be what will be interesting Wink

Pulsar77: Thanks for your interest! There's still about 3 weeks left to make payment, so no rush -- at the same time I'd prefer to have hard confirmations by the time Superbru league launches.

On that note: I have received a kind offer from an anonymous punter to sponsor 2 slots in this season's campaign.

I'd really like to give the slots to new(er) forum members, or to those who may not be able to afford the payment for whatever reason -- if you feel you know someone who would play but cannot make the payment, please direct them to post in this thread quoting this.
3699  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Have a Question ~ Are 1xbit Campaigners Playing on 1xbit? on: August 17, 2022, 02:26:26 AM
One might be surprised with the answers if asking any campaign participant if they use the service they advertise.

It is not required to do so, it is, after all, renting out of space. I do think if people do promote the services they advertise, that they should also then be users, or at least, have used to service -- exchange, casino, mixer, etc.

But if you think the majority of people here on campaigns use the services they advertise? Ha.

They are not even active users. I PM some users every now and then, those I feel are spam posters. Tag them, PM them, they don't reply.

Recommend you just use the report function when you see them.
3700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: August 17, 2022, 01:46:06 AM
Yeah, price is at much better levels now than several weeks ago when I was more active, and maybe sentiment has somewhat improved but still think we are as deep in uncertainty as we were then.

Price in the short term is a funny thing, sentiment as fickle as the ticker colour.

24k is a good buy in price, but really, in the long term, what isn't?
