3681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistake Costs User $1.1 Million in AAVE on: October 20, 2020, 03:39:56 AM
If I were to transact that kind of amount in any form, I would try to test the waters before anything else. Imagine being able to send a small amount, enough to make sure that It is going to the right address. Even if I'm transacting a relatively small amount, I want to make sure first like double-checking etc.

If there is a way I hope they find a way to recover it because it's not a joke of an amount.
3682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 20, 2020, 02:32:31 AM
I think it’s the person‘s fault if they get addicted to something. When it comes to online gambling, I know that it’s relatively easy to access and make people want to gamble more. If you were to compare it to a land-based casino, then of, of course, it is sure that it’s easier.

Interesting questions but quite general. Here are my answers to the questions

1. I would prefer online gambling just because of the current situation today. With the current pandemic still looming over our heads, we cannot be sure of what we will risk when going to the actual land-based casino. With cryptocurrencies, it’s easier to gamble compared to Fiat.

2. It would depend on how much I am going to turn on a specific period. Let’s say I earned $500 in a month. I would take that and probably gamble 20% of it. Of course, I am paying first for the necessities, etc.

3. if I were to get a losing streak continuously, I would stop for a day and continue the day after. It will be hard to be continuous because of the emotional feeling and the hope of winning. It hurts more when you hope and knowing that we couldn’t control the outcome. I should stop whenever I reach a certain streak and be satisfied with what I have.

4. I would probably use it on dice or the monopoly game by Roobet. It's entertaining, lol.

5. Don’t be too emotional and invest only what you could lose so you wouldn’t be catching up on your losses.
3683  Economy / Reputation / Re: Goodbye, world! on: October 19, 2020, 01:42:45 PM
I must say that I’m going to miss the Grumpy Kitty. If there ever is a way that we could ever Talk or something, I’m just here. I really respect all that you do and I hope you are doing great.
3684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: October 19, 2020, 01:30:10 PM
At the start of the pandemic, it has been quite OK because I have funds left for daily needs. I’m also thankful for the forum because this helped me a lot to continue living and pay off debts. With my trading portfolio, I needed to put it in the stop because I needed the money for my daily needs and because of an emergency.

So technically I didn’t lose some of the coins, I just used it for necessities instead of investing. I just accepted that I can’t invest right now because of my situation.
3685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Curio hit 5$ in near future? on: October 19, 2020, 08:37:01 AM
It looks really promising, though. The direct links to other websites seem legitimate, and the design is nice too. It makes me want to try and invest because, to me, it's something unique. The How it works and the explainer video reinforced how they are going to do it but I'm not comfortable with the part where you need to do KYC and buy tokens with a credit card. I don't know. I prefer to buy it with Bitcoin, though.

I hope your investment in this will be profitable, OP.
3686  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]There is a fake Atomic Wallet in Play Store on: October 19, 2020, 05:42:18 AM
I contacted them regarding this matter. But they didn't pay attention.
Maybe they are quite busy or just gotten used to the fact that many scammers copy tons of projects and use it to scam people.

I think for cloning there app, the should issue copyright violation against that app to Google play store
Since Google takes it seriously, I think they wouldn't have difficulty reporting and removing it in the play store. It doesn't take much to understand that it's a violation already, but the downside is, I think the real Atomic Wallet people should be the ones deciding this matter and reporting it directly.

3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 💰 How to start mining with low capital 💰 on: October 19, 2020, 04:00:29 AM
I have seen CLAM for quite some time, and there are many speculations on how they are doing their project. Anyway, it's quite interesting to mine CLAMS now because it seems like a discount from its former value. Being able to get more and previously listed in one of the famous exchanges may bear fruit again in the future.

Thanks for sharing this OP. Anyways, all I can see in just-dice is the tab Invest. And it's investing with the casino, not staking. Is it the same on the site?
3688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beware of fixed matches offer - member wbet7pending! on: October 19, 2020, 02:38:56 AM
I'm pretty sure it's not just him who is selling these so-called fixed matches. Whether it's direct messaging or in the marketplace, there's still no guarantee with that. It's just like what trading signals offers, making it look like it's always going to be the way, but it's not. There is no guarantee with that unless you are part of that under the wraps thing. I'm not saying that it doesn't exist because there are probably many people controlling the outcome, but it's hard for the people involved to involve other people in the first place publicly. Remember that they are strangers to you and would love to get money from you whenever they can.
3689  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 19, 2020, 02:12:06 AM
If you check the other countries, they have already started operating normally and what differs them is that the transmission is continuing, and active cases still didn't go down within the past months. From your posts, it seems like it's in the Philippines.

Below is a graph from August 19 to October 18. (As of this posting)

I chose August 19 because we will base it on when the government made the Metro Manila into the GCQ. The minimum is 1362 and the maximum of 6167 daily new cases, ignoring the part where there is 0 data on the graph, probably no data was sent European CDC or late sending of data. That's why the next point is higher compared to the previous point.

It still plays in the range of 1841 ~ 4789 (I averaged 5 points of highs and lows)

There is still no significant movement with the country's current situation, but I think the stability is quite calming compared to the previous months. I don't know how the health system feels about this range, but it is still high IMO compared to other countries.

I hope no one gets more infected with this and follows all the health protocols that are needed. Don't go outside if it's still non-essential for you. For the workers as well, make sure that they are following the safety protocols of the company. It's going to be critical if there would be another wave of transmission, and the country could not survive another wave of that IMO.

I'm not an economist, but for someone who is in dire need to work and earn money to do that again, it is life-changing for them. For me, the economy is the people, and it's improving when they could earn to live again.
3690  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]There is a fake Atomic Wallet in Play Store on: October 17, 2020, 04:34:56 PM
I don’t think it's the real developer's fault that they are getting famous and bad people are making it to their advantage with that view. It's not something they could deal with quickly because it's on a different platform, but I'm sure once they received that news, they would want to deal with it immediately.
3691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My best investment strategy on: October 16, 2020, 09:58:18 AM
With that in mind, you would know what you do with your crypto, especially these days, when it's quite high compared to the previous months. With the term adaptability, do you mean adapting your trades with the current market conditions? I think there are still factors to consider when it happens because we are not 100% sure. We need to be aware of what we are risking, and the stop loss will help you alleviate that.

You mentioned projects. Do you mean new altcoins?
3692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do mixing companies want stolen bitcoins? on: October 16, 2020, 05:28:48 AM
....I think that mixers should offer their services to everyone just like doctors cure everyone. They don't discriminate between good and bad people they just do their job.
But aren't hospitals or doctors suppose to file a report of patients wounded from gun shots, knives, or any objects that indicates they got it from a fight? Imagine if mixers would do the same thing and report all deposits from their customers to authorities. I doubt you would want that.
That's the thing with mixers, they don't ask, they just receive the coins and that's what people find convenient whether dirty or not. The faster you could do the transaction the better. I don't think they would use the mixers in which you have to fill out where it came from though.

For the OP, I'm quite curious about where they indicated they want stolen bitcoins?
3693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why FOMO isn't as bad as people make it seem. on: October 16, 2020, 02:36:51 AM
The simple rule is "buy at the bottom and sell at the top". But i don't think this applies to all coins, it only applies to solid coins like bitcoin, ethereum and the likes, because they have stood the test of time and would surely find their way back up.
I disagree with this because you could definitely always buy at the bottom and sell it at the top but the challenge is when you will buy it. This should already be a common rule for everyone. If you check all the charts of the coins, there would always be a lower low and a higher high. What you would do as a trader is when you are going to trade, what indicators tell you to trade, limit positions, limit risks, and many more. It's not going to always be about FOMO, it's about being smart with what you are trading.
3694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone bet on the sharks yet ? on: October 15, 2020, 04:15:02 PM
Maybe after betting on the sharks, that observation will use the other animal.
You mean to bet on the seals, dolphins, whales, etc. that they have tagged? It would be interesting too. Many people are into gambling, and maybe the boredom that came from the pandemic could be alleviated.

They have yet to decide on what they are going to do with their options. In the article, there is still no official thing that happened between MyBookie and Ocearch. Even if they were to sponsor them financially, it seems they still have yet to consider it.

I can't seem to find a more updated article about their partnership. I hope they find a way to make it work. It would be fun to participate.
3695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone bet on the sharks yet ? on: October 15, 2020, 01:31:49 PM
The idea of this is great just because they Don’t have my complete control with the outcome, and it’s probably for the best for the environment. I have no idea that this existed, but it’s cool.

The Ocearch.org Is not only for a great white shark but also for other marine animals. They have tagged the animals so they could monitor them.  As checking the site, they have 416 animals tagged. I think this deserves more exposure, and just because of the data, you could get off from it.

I hope this experiment for the gambling part would be beneficial entirely for the ocearch.org
3696  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT Members, country of origin on: October 15, 2020, 05:53:48 AM
How is it going to be healthy? Just like what asche said, you could find it for yourself. Most of the members probably have posted on their respective local boards. You could just check it out there. I hope you act on your username, "Use Your Brain".
3697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware Cryptowallet with Fingerprint Authorization on: October 15, 2020, 03:47:33 AM
This kind of technology is being used in external hard drives/SSD’s and to make it into the hardware wallets means everyone is taking it up to the next level. It's nice to see different kinds of innovations being applied to the cryptocurrency space. It just shows that every time we see more and more adaptation of crypto.

I would like to have one, but it's another expense, though. I'm worried about the reputation as well. I will probably wait for reviews too.
3698  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCclicks is a scam? on: October 14, 2020, 05:21:14 AM
If you have researched them before starting your journey there, it would've saved you some months. If you could get to that amount without trying to withdraw it, I would admire you for that. I hope you would've at least tried a smaller amount or the minimum withdrawal that is available on that site then withdrew it. So it wouldn't be a wasted effort.

I hope you have learned that your time is more valuable than clicking ads and collecting less than invested. You could've learned other skills instead of just clicking ads and hoping for a reward.
3699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 14, 2020, 01:18:52 AM
This is the reflection of my thoughts that if your country doesn't allow anything whatever it is, you should avoid it. This will be the real patriotism. Being illegal may cost many things from you and you can be tracked.
It's just the right thing about it. It's either you risk yourself to be arrested because you are not following the law or have the "thrill" of getting away with it and possibly earn thousands of dollars and then get arrested. It's illegal either way. Unless you are above the law.  Shocked

By the way, I am from one of the third world countries of the world and here cryptocurrency isn't widely accepted. But we are using and trying to get facilities. The same thing is to gambling sites which are not legal in here but people still using it randomly
Maybe you are at the start of it and either way, it's still going to be a challenge to get everyone aboard the cryptocurrency space. And as I posted before, the one you quoted, if it's illegal in your country, don't do it.
3700  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crowdsourcing, I will reward merits as well to users I do like of their answers. on: October 13, 2020, 09:37:41 AM
Interesting crowdsourcing. I didn't know that sleeping was a sport. I saw an experiment where they pay people to just sleep, but it's not a competitive way. I don't think it would be easy to quantify the most picked sports because of the diversity of different people. I don't know. Good luck with your crowdsourcing. Hopefully, this helps.

What I voted in the poll.
  • Dota 2
  • CS Go
  • Badminton

1. What made up your mind to chose the sports you voted?
     - I chose two e-sports and one physical sport. I chose them because it's the ones that I know inside and out and play when I have the time.

2. Do the sports you chose change your lifestyle? Yes or No and Why?
     - It changed my lifestyle because it became my hobby during times I'm quite stressed and have the time to bond with friends.

3. What could it feels when one day you will going to meet in person you idolized in the sports you like?
     - It would make me feel ecstatic, but I doubt it will happen, though.

4.Is it possible that you will going to change the sports in the future? Yes or No and Why?
     - I don't think so. I'm not a professional player and not influential in having an impact on the game.

5. If you will be given 1 btc and ask you to quit following the sports you like the most, will you do it for 1 btc? Yes or No and Why?
     - There are two situations that I could think of. If I were a professional player representing a country or a team, I wouldn't just trade my career just for 1 BTC. It's going to be a dream to continue if that's my career. The second Scenario, since I'm not a professional player, I would gladly take that 1 BTC and not play that sport ever again.
