3681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to know Random opinion about this on: November 01, 2021, 07:13:00 AM
Though I don't think anyone really needs to prove themselves here since 99.9% of us here are just random pseudonymous users, I don't think he/she's wrong at all.
I think that proof of oneself is what has made some members more reputable than others here. There are some members a lot of high ranked members can vouch for here and that's because they've earned the trust of the community. So, to that extent I will say that at some point we all have that opportunity to prove something.

Again, we may be seemingly anonymous with our monikers but that isn't enough shield to hurtful words. This is bad for those who don't have the backing of the community especially when wrongly accused or misconstrued. Words (hurtful or not) transcend the mere facade of usernames. People go through a lot in life offline. We shouldn't compound it with unguarded utterances in the guise that everyone needs to grow think skin.

I won $200 for being the most interactive person in the room...I would not know this things I do now without the forum.
Of course, this forum has proved to be a repertoire of crypto knowledge and great that you showcased what you've and also advertised us. You're a worthy ambassador.

Quote
3. Mentorship is important: There is a old saying where I am from "if you have a (wise) father you will fly farther" that means you will fly on their wings.
Perhaps your people would've to consider a review to that old saying and add a prefix to the "father" knowing that there are fathers who aren't responsible in anyway. Supposed one has such a father it would be impossible to fly farther under his tutelage, isn't it?

Yes they did. Each area was handled by an expert in that field. The hosts were full of knowledge but short on time in my opinion.
I won't be surprised if some of the experts are members of this forum too but may not have revealed their usernames, considering the creave for privacy in the world.
3683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weekend Trading, how do you feel about it? on: October 31, 2021, 03:21:00 AM
~snipped~
Many people get into trading because they want to obtain money but many others do so because they want to obtain freedom from their regular jobs
In the real sense of it, I think everyone likes freedom. I'm not sure there's anyone who likes a regular job if they could afford money to stay away from that 9am–5pm slavery called a job. Financial freedom is what everyone who goes into trading seeks, nothing else. Money is the name of the game, whether we try to sugarcoat it or not. Financial freedom means having enough cash to make one stay independent and to the best of my perspicacity I think that's the sole aim why people work.

and while it is obvious that the longer you can stay in front of the screen the more profits you will get since you will make on average more trades,
That logic doesn't work that way. What if those many trades one makes on the average are in loss, always? Over trading tends to weary a trader and cause them to lose track and focus on trades.
3684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Avoid. on: October 31, 2021, 02:33:35 AM
Honestly, I hadn't heard about that exchange until this moment. The first thing I do whenever I read about an exchange or someone tells me is to check up the rating of the exchange. I also did so now and what I found on Coingecko about Stormgain didn't impress me at all. It scored low there for me.

I wouldn't get on that exchange for anything. Just look at the trading volume. It's a huge no-no. How do you trade on such an exchange and don't expect withdrawal issues will come up? Of course, the exchange wouldn't want people taking out the cash and reducing their trading capacity and volume. It may not even be a KYC/AML thing at the end. I hope OP learns a lesson from this encounter and begins to avoid such average exchanges. There's a reason they're average.
3685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't lose your profit unnecessarily on: October 30, 2021, 06:05:42 PM
As newbie I have not bothered about the profit that I have missed taking out just because that I believe another profit will fill up for me.
Any profit gone, is gone and can't be retraced. Another profit that comes up is a different one and can't be treated as profit missed. Apart from the problem of most traders not using the Stop Loss (SL), not taking profit and allowing it run is another. For me, I try to break even once in profit. I hate watching my green turn into bloody red. Once in profit, I secure it. Traders should learn how not to be (over) greedy. Quite all right, there's nothing wrong in trying to get in more profit on a winning trade but overdoing it is bad. It's same way that being ambitious is good but being ovatly ambitious is bad.

I try to take like 30% or slightly above it on any winning trade and then allow the rest run until I'm sure it's juice is dried up, so to say.

3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin craze on: October 30, 2021, 07:07:01 AM
Just know where you put your money not all these meme coins mean business
This is true. It's the same gimmick we saw when Dogecoin pumped, every new project picked the "dog(e)" tag. I saw a lot of them without teams, just shenanigans picking profile names on LinkedIn to plaster on their scam projects. It's the same way I see every other project that isn't Shiba but has the "inu" tag. The truth, regrettably, is that a lot of people like to pick those memetokens because they think with as little as $10 they can become millionaires over night once it hits $1 or $0.1 price. Can you beat that?
3688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Kyc is deceitful if ignorant of the bad side on: October 29, 2021, 03:36:29 PM
* If one uses his own data for KYC, bad actors may sell it for various uses, some good, some very bad (one worse case can be even getting loans from bank in your name)
Well, I'm thinking hard how that loan part with someone else's KYC can be possible, with documents that aren't credit card. I mean, if one submits government documents and another tenders them to get a loan, there should be a picture there on the document of course. At least, I know passports and national IDs have them. Isn't it? Even cashing out money at a bank doesn't come that easy let alone getting a loan. The screening is always stringent. To me, except a bank is unscrupulous and involved in the racket there's no way someone else can get a loan with another person's documents at a bank. Again, won't the bank match the loan seeker's signature with the signature used in opening the account with them that it has on its computer? If there are properties as collateral, in whose name are they registered?

Kyc is not mandatory so far you do not use the exchanges that are demanding for kyc, so implying it is mandatory in this regard is not absolutely correct, but only mandatory on the exchanges that are enforcing it, but not still necessary to use such exchanges.
In order not to sound remote (while recognizing that this thread isn't about KYC being compulsory or not), let me quickly ask you – would you rather trade at an average exchange not requiring KYC or a more trusted one requiring KYC?
3689  Economy / Reputation / Re: HUGE farm: 57 hight-rank accounts connected. on: October 29, 2021, 02:11:38 PM
These types of farms are the reason most campaigns paused a week or two after they launched because they weren't getting any support
I don't think that's so. All a user has to do is wear a logo and anyone who visits the forum or posts here will see it and if interested, will click on the signature logo and be directed to the project's web site. My thinking is that all that user's farmed accounts wore the signature logo and the purpose – (advertisement) it was intended would've been achieved.

these guys are the reason some projects got dumped after presales.
That's absolutely correct! Account farmers are always the first to dump even when price is abysmally low because they've several of the bounty tokens to make a huge gain.

Owned by one person, operated by many, these people are hired and paid maybe monthly/weekly or probably after the end of each campaign.
That's the only logical explanation that can sustain that huge number of farmed accounts. The owner runs it as a call centre just like we've them in India.
3690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Place of Respect in the Forum. on: October 29, 2021, 12:08:17 PM
Offline/Online Respect
Infact, when one is disrespected or abused online it is more damaging and severe than when done offline. This is because an offline abuse may happen once, probably in the presence of a fewer persons.
I think reverse is the case. People don't easily insult others when confronted offline or in person but they can easily do that online. Keyboard warriors and soldiers always find the slightest opportunity to throw those who are even older than their parents under the bus. In a forum like this, what we may notice is more of bullying rather than disrespect where more established users tend to lord it over lower ranked members. Members who do that believe their high ranks endown them with knowledge and age, and this may not be true. Often it has proved not to be truth.

BTW OP, I will like to hear your story on how you got scammed. It's so that others may learn a thing or two from it

But I agree that sometimes on the Internet we meet people whose behavior on the Internet is very different from their offline behavior. Usually people hide their complexes, which are full in everyday life, and on the Internet, they pretend to be some cool dude respected by the whole  "alma mater" or district
That would be hypocrisy at its peak and a lot of people are fond of doing that. This is the major reason no sensible person should copy the social media lifestyles of others. Humans tend to pretend a lot.

Respect cannot be bought or forcibly made to respect oneself.
Respect comes from what a certain person does and is earned by actions.
I strongly applaud this . It's the same way I feel and react to issues regarding respect. It can't be forced but earned.
3691  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders always learn to leave when the ovation is laudest on: October 28, 2021, 06:40:09 PM
instead you waiting for take profit you can exit the market and go with happiness with what you made already before price crash because most times when ovaction is laudest, some audience might start "criticizing and you get a wipe"  Grin
This is the hardest part for most traders. No trader wants to exit the market (that's the point of the loudest ovation you literally referred to) only to see the same market go further in profit and that's why most will foot drag on taking profit. While it's not a bad thing to want more profit on a traded pair, it's bad strategy not to have an exit point. Every trader should have a TP set and must not move the TP further without adjust their SL position.
3692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: October 28, 2021, 03:57:10 PM
There’s no direct scheme how to understand market. Every trader does that by his/her unique way. In general, traders make analysis of graphics; are constantly monitoring crypto news, launch of futures and even twitter page of Elon Mask. All that give some info about what can probably happen with crypto. This info helps trader to make assumptions and to put orders. And, of course, key to success depends on emotional state of the trader (panic can ruin everything). But again, traders make only assumptions, try to predict and such predictions are not always successful.
You wrote as a Fundamental trader with the news and all that atuff. There's nothing wrong in that but you've to realise that trading is beyond fundamentals. There's a technical aspect to it; that which enables traders make a  long term decision based on the parameters of whatever their indicators have been able to show them. Again, anyone found trying to base their crypto knowledge on what they get on the supposedly "twitter page of Elon Mask" according to you, isn't a real investor for me. Elon may be the richest man alive but that doesn't mean he has trading experience or that he's profitable trading. From the little I know of him online, he's more of a hodler than trader. So, why would anyone take his trade calls any serious then?
3693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with leverage on: October 28, 2021, 11:37:32 AM
for many beginners with limited capital, leverage seems to be the only option.
. Lesser risk when you set tight stops and trade smaller amounts. You don’t risk all of your capital and as you gain experience, learn how to navigate the leveraged trading market.
If your post is in any way meant for beginners to follow, then you shouldn't be advising that in quote ☝️. Leverage trading should be the last thing to ask a beginner to go into. Yes, it allows someone with limited capital access for more trades but once the loss comes you will regret ever going for it. Again, most veteran traders don't even use Stop Loss (this is bad though), let alone beginners who may not even know how to fix it. Spot trading is best fit for beginners, than leveraging.
3694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weekend Trading, how do you feel about it? on: October 28, 2021, 10:25:07 AM
First off OP, the number of times one stays in the market/trade doesn't determine how successful and profitable one can be. To even be negative about it, one can lose all week days' trading gains by trading on a weekend. But be that as it may, I don't really see any difference in trading into the weekend. The only nag would be that the market won't be as heavy and active as it would ordinarily be during week days because certain traders would want to go on a vacation or simply stay off the market. Remember the saying, all work and no play makes jack a dull boy? Everyone deserves rest. We don't have to be slaves to money. Work a bit and then take a deserving rest. Ordinarily, weekends should be for family and religious activities.

From my own perspective. Weekends are the days I mostly fill-up my bags as market someway, somehow always look pale to me over the weekends.
Yeah, and that's because a lot of traders stay off the market and make it their off days so they can unwind and spend cash made previously on themselves.
3695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the fastest way to grow wealth in our present world of digital currency? on: October 28, 2021, 08:27:27 AM
It's like you were already answering your own question, by the way. However, let me quickly chip in something I read CZ Binance said about crypto. He said the best way to be wealthy in crypto is to hodl it. If someone heDl a single Bitcoin since 2015 and never sold it, the person would be in great wealth, no doubt, unlike if they tried to trade it (which most do and then lose out on it). I share in CZ's view point and this is why I'm of the opinion that hodling is also a form of trading. But it's also pertinent to note that when one hodls one should know the right time to sell.

Nevertheless, to grow wealth will mean investing and reinvesting. Then lead a minimal life of luxury so as to safe cash too.
3696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the king on: October 28, 2021, 05:57:36 AM
Now that many other cryptocurrencies are seriously pumping can they take over from bitcoin? If they take over from bitcoin can they last in that position like bitcoin?
What is your opinion.
In the past there had been alts that surpassed Bitcoin in unit price, though not in market cap. But that isn't where all that ends. There's something that goes beyond utility or use-case of cryptos, for me that's trust. A lot of people have got that trust for Bitcoin. They can confidently put their money in it and peacefully go to sleep compared to others. By the way, there's a reason that makes Bitcoin stand alone while others are referred to as altcoins. Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that isn't referred to as altcoin. If any altcoin surpasses Bitcoin price, that won't be anything special and I don't think it will affect Bitcoin's relevance. The only thing I know that can destroy Bitcoin is if the 21 million scarce supply is changed to something more.
3697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: S.S. LAZIO Up BINANCE on: October 26, 2021, 04:34:15 PM
The Lazio token was an instant hit once the IEO was over on Binance. It flew to $26+ same day it was listed and that was a great ROI for a token that sold for $1 at launchpad. Barcelona has its token too called BAR and it's currently trading at $16+. Clubs creating tokens for their fans is now a trend and I believe more clubs will follow suit in days to come. I want the frenzy to get to England immediately as we've seen it in Spain and Italy.

3698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: October 26, 2021, 12:11:57 PM
Nowadays, it is preferable to hide rather than to flaunt one's wealth.
It's absolutely bad to flaunt one's wealth. What's the gain in doing that, come to think of it if not to intimidate others. For me, only those who are in showbiz can flaunt and it's justifiable because flaunting in a part of showbiz. Otherwise, there's no need one letting others know about one's bling bling.

At least the kid is all right after that ordeal, which I'm sure must have been terrifying.
That kid's life won't be the same again. It's scarred for the rest of it. That horrifying trauma of his kidnap will perpetually be there in his subconsciousness to torment him. I'm sure his sleep will be nightmarish this day. Again, there's likely to be repeated attempts on him now that people know he's worth something; except his parents are able to provide him private security. It's just goodbye to childhood for him. He may not be able to lead a normal hassle free life of children again.

Hopefully the jackoff kidnapper will do the entire 4 years.
Four years is a slap on the wrist for such a heinous crime.
3699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot V.S. Long 1x Leverage in Futures Market on: October 26, 2021, 10:37:17 AM
Long 1x Leverage in Futures Market is totally pointless according to me
Honestly, even to me too. It's pointless with that minor leverage. Anyone who trades Futures with that abysmal leverage should just stick to Spot trading. Futures isn't for the lilly hearted. It's tough and quick either way – winning or losing. It also typifies the saying, "If you're scared of dying, then don't go to the war front." It's a bloody place to be. Sorry, I had to used war as the closest analogy there. Futures is a more radical angle in trading than the conservative spot trading. I don't even do Futures myself in crypto. At least, not yet.

This thread is self-moderated.

Post your ranking up story in here now!
You want people to post their ranking up achievement on your thread, and you're moderating it? Well, for even reintegrating that your thread is self moderated (apart from that we can already see it on top this thread) may even scare people away from posting here. It simply means that only you choose what to allow and what not to.
