3701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should governments allow people to pay their taxes in Bitcoin BTC? on: February 10, 2017, 07:45:57 PM
Not sure why so many people are against having this option?
If the government allows taxes being paid with Bitcoin, that doesn't mean that they gain any control over Bitcoin in any way.

So I'd say yes and on top of that, I think one Swiss city is already accepting Bitcoin to pay for government services.

3702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you beat the house edge on: February 10, 2017, 07:42:03 PM
Some players beat the house edge due to variance, meaning that they can win big in the short term and if they do not play again, they've beaten it.
But it is statistically impossible to beat the house edge in the long term.

Take a look at the stats of Crypto-games for example, if you check the daily stats, you'll sometimes see that the site made a loss in the last 24 hours.
But when you look at the monthly stats, it's always in favour of the casino and the profit range is pretty close to the house edge.
3703  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BitCoin - Where is it illegal ? on: February 10, 2017, 07:34:21 PM
Are you sure that Bitcoin is actually illegal in Russia currently? According to that Wikipedia list, it's not.
Here's a list of the legality of Bitcoin per country, but I don't know how up to date it is.

3704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to use escrow on: February 10, 2017, 07:30:31 PM
How exactly do you make your own escrow service on this forum? I understand my rank is too low at the moment for people to trust me with escrow, but do you just have to be someone with a legendary rank here? Couldn't someone just buy a trusted account and scam users? And HOW trusted do you have to be?
Even people with a legendary rank do not automatically have enough trust to act as an escrow agent on this forum.
You need actual trust for that and if you're going to get trust purely for the sake of getting trust (by getting loans and repaying them for example), it just looks like you're doing it to scam people in the end.
3705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever bought games from Steam using Bitcoin? If so, for how much? on: February 10, 2017, 07:22:57 PM
Keep in mind that products based on Dollar makes Bitcoin change its value. If you buy a game worth 15$ as of now you have to pay .0152 BTC. It always change now the aim of people is to lessen the Bitcoin they will use for buying any product. The higher the value of Bitcoin the lesser Bitcoin you will pay for the product.
Good point and it's something that I've definitely taken advantage of when I'd bought Bitcoin for around 800 dollars and buying a game on Steam a few days later when the price went up again.
It's not much that you save on such low value purchases, but still pretty nice Smiley
3706  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful Trading !! on: February 10, 2017, 05:36:02 PM
Eh, I personally wouldn't trust Paxful with any of my Bitcoins, their owners are notoriously sketchy people.
Take a look at this article:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/paxful-exchange-ceo-and-cto-arrested-in-miami-on-weapons-and-drugs-charges

Maybe start trading at LBC?

Agreed. Localbitcoins would be a better option in my opinion too. There's far less trust needed rather than relying on them to escrow properly etc. You would be better off if you practise with say $100 then one you know what you're doing you can go all in with the $400.
It might be a lot harder to get established in LBC though, but not impossible.
Are there other similar platforms? Might be possible to try your luck at Bitsquare, the decentralised exchange, far less competition there and upon first look, it's being used.
3707  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan now #1 in volume on: February 10, 2017, 05:33:37 PM
That's pretty good news, at least it's better than China being #1 in volume.
Where did you find these stats btw and how is it compared to the US and Europe?
3708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of the money on: February 10, 2017, 05:29:09 PM
For me it was definitely on progressive slots, I've won a couple of BTC through that.
Dice is by war the worst game for me Tongue
3709  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: can bitcoin / eth change pharmaceutical prices? on: February 10, 2017, 05:25:02 PM
I don't see how it can, the prices are just an equivalent of the dollar prices.
If you're living in the US, you're still dependant on US suppliers, if you want to buy medication legally.

Now, if you're in a really bad spot financially, it might be better to just go to Canada for your medicine.
This is also illegal strictly speaking, but I've heard that customs usually lets these things slip, but don't take my word for it.

3711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scam indicators? on: February 10, 2017, 12:34:41 AM
Are you talking about exchanges or also other services?
For exchanges, I would say that if it's clear that there's fake volume on them, that's a pretty good indicator of them scamming. Not sure how you can know 100% sure that there's fake volume though.

Otherwise, look for honest reviews on forums, if there are a lot of people that are experiencing problems with withdraws, it's also a pretty good indicator that they're having some sort of problem with funds not being available.
3712  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sites to play hi lo using BTC that doesn't involve cards ? on: February 10, 2017, 12:10:34 AM
I would also suggest Crypto-games, they have a pretty low house edge (0.80%) on dice games (HI - LO), meaning that in the long term you'd lose less money than on sites with a higher house edge.
Freebitco.in has one of the highest house edges of all dice games, so it's best that you play on another site :p
3713  Other / Off-topic / Re: How are you earning BTC? on: February 10, 2017, 12:06:04 AM
Our clients earn a lot of bitcoins by runing bitcoin casino. No technical knowledge needed.

bitbox.site
For me its surprising how its possible to make a lot of bitcoin such of casino site.Obviously agree with no technical knowledge needed losing your money. There doubt is really gambling methods to make money as other process. My ans. obviously NO.Basically there so many essential ways to get a taste of earning money.
Do you even understand what he's saying? His clients are earning money by running a casino, not by gambling in one.
Besides, the person you're answering to is just spamming probably, by namedropping his service.
3714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scaling Argument is Ridiculous on: February 10, 2017, 12:01:51 AM
But isn't the bottom line that either the blocksize is too small or blocks need to be made more efficient?
If Bitcoin wants to be able to compete with, say, the Mastercard network in terms of amount of transactions per seconds it can handle, these things must happen, or not?

Otherwise, people would just be raising the fee without there being any ceiling to it.
If everybody does it, there would be a point in time that you'd have to pay 5 or 10 dollars just to have a transaction confirmed within the hour..
3715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasonable bankroll for new gambling website? on: February 09, 2017, 11:34:59 PM
I also think +100 BTC is a bare minimum, but you could also minimize the risk for yourself by limiting the max winrate per bet.
That way you'll be less affected by variance since you can't lose, say, 10% of your bankroll by one lucky player.
3716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question about Gambling on: February 09, 2017, 11:31:48 PM
It depends on the agreement you made beforehand.
I hope you did make some kind of agreement, otherwise, I think it would only be fair to repay him.
3717  Economy / Gambling / Re: Monthly Best Gambling Site (February 2017) on: February 09, 2017, 11:28:57 PM
I voted for Crypto-Games, they're still going strong and they're also still adding more functionality to their website.
Also, they're not on the list, but I would have voted for Bitcoinvideocasino as my second option if it was possible Smiley
3718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bribing via bitcoin a good idea? on: February 09, 2017, 06:50:53 PM
It's a horrible idea on many levels, bribing is unethical in itself and doing it on a currency with a public ledger is not going to be best for bribing in the least. As people already know the best way to go ahead and bribe would have to be cash as their is little evidence that could be found relating to the bribe unless their is camera evidence.

For me its not the best thing if you want to bribe someone. Plus bribing is illegal and criminal act in nature so once you are caught you will be jailed for your crime.

In some countries bribing is actually needed to get things done, sad to say but it's something that MUST occur for your business / personal life to survive. Bribing is accepted and used in these countries which was put forward by the Huffington Post - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/02/bribery-business-countries-most-likely_n_1071452.html This could be an opinion piece but still, it's worth the read.
Sure, it's on a public ledger, but if the Bitcoins aren't tied to you and the other party in any way, that shouldn't be a problem.
That said, it's illegal, but on the other hand, like you said, sometimes there's no way around it to get things done in certain countries.

In some cases it could even be needed to get bogus charges removed when you're travelling. Thinking about India for example...
3719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no "proper" price for bitcoin on: February 09, 2017, 06:32:11 PM
Maybe Bitcoin shouldn't have a price? Maybe it should be free, and you should give me all of yours?

The price for bitcoin just seems to high in the current moment. in some developed countries to spend 1000$ to buy one bitcoin would be good investment in future. Bitcoin will be doubbled during this year. So it is fast chance to dobble your money.
I think some people just do not understand bitcoin in how it works, because of it is totally unique thing. Weneed to be educated about bitcoin.

I'm not sure how educated you are. Bitcoin's values is not "too" high, if anything, it's too low. You're thinking wrongly, as if you need to buy exactly one Bitcoin. Bitcoin is infinitely divisible (in theory), so you have to get rid of the idea of their being a "1" unit of Bitcoin anyway.
On Bitcoin being 'infinitely divisible', even in theory, I think that's just not too accurate.
If Bitcoin ever comes close to becoming a global currency, used by a few billion people, even the current supply isn't going to be enough to support such a massive user base.
3720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever bought games from Steam using Bitcoin? If so, for how much? on: February 09, 2017, 06:26:17 PM
I earn bitcoins  just to buy games and in game items from Steam.
Signature Campaigns play an important role in helping me earn bitcoins and then use them.on steam
Not only steam , g2a also accepts Bitcoin . It is also a site which you can trust.
I have till now purchased cs go for $8 and it's ingame items worth $16.
Nothing wrong with using external services like G2A to buy Steam codes, but keep in mind that Steam accepting Bitcoin has a much greater impact than those other services accepting it.
That's the reason why I'd personally try to buy more games using Bitcoin from Steam directly.
